So, on the phone with a lady now, threw in the Tax Advocate with hardship exception lingo to see if she’ll go anywhere and she asked for all of our SS#, names, DOBs, so I’m assuming she’s truly looking at the account… and she comes back with “Actually, we see a notice was sent out asking for 8962 and the 1095-A”……. it may wake 1-2 weeks to get that, and then 4 weeks from when you send that in before the refund is issued.

My WMR updated to 3 bars after midnight last night pacific time and says my refund was sent to my bank on 2/4/15 and I still have no deposit this morning 2/5/15. I do have offset but it didn’t show the offset in my balance – it showed full amount sent. My transcript also doesn’t reflect an offset. Where did the money go??

I’m in the same position as you, I think, with the 201502? Can you even see your transcripts yet? Mine say none available for tax year 2014. I filed 01/29 at around 6:30 p.m. and was accepted about 20 minutes later (according to Taxact). I did get locked out of viewing transcripts online due to the IPSU message, but when I called to verify, she said that she sees no issue with my return and it just isn’t done with processing. However, the the message to call IPSU is still there. Shouldn’t that be removed when you call to verify? I just wish I knew if my return was stuck somewhere. Hope everyone sees an update soon. So frustrating.

Filed 1/26/2015….Transcript still showing 00s. My previous transcripts all have different cycle codes. they range for 02 to 04. HRblock did not give me a submission confirmation code when I was accepted. I filed in the office. MY State just got approved for DD. I hope I get some good news from the Feds tomorrow.

That is hard to say if you did not file last year, that could be why it is taking a little longer. We have notice we are 05ers every single year. If yours changes from year to year then you are not a weekly.

Ok where do I start?? This is the 3rd year in a row where my tax return has been caught in some limbo. I filed 1/20, was accepted 1/21. I had 1 wmr bar until last Sunday it disappeared. However I’ve tried to order my transcripts and they’re not available. I’ve called the IRS and they tell me the same thing “wait 21 days”. Even though I can hear the doubt in their voice. More than likely I’ll be on the phone with the IRS looking for some explanation after my 21 day waiting period. Anyway I do have an identity theft indicator on my tax account. Not sure why. I’ve been filing the same return for 5 years, no address or job change. The dependent I carry is my son. I thought by me owing Child support and student loans that would help expedite the identity theft issues. Every rep I’ve spoken to tells me that the offsets would only delay my refund a day or 2 and that I would recieve the rest promptly. Anyone knows what’s going on?? I don’t if its that I’m on a weekly cycle (I can’t access my tax transcripts) or maybe re sequenced. Anyone with insight??

Cycle dates on past returns seem to be putting me in the 05er weekly cycle. I checked past transcripts and all other years I have always received my refunds on a Wednesday. Hopefully we will see an update Saturday morning on WMR with a ddd of 2/11/15. Hopefully!!

@mstorilivsand so I filed 1/22 TT says I was accepted the 23rd but I am guessing that may not be totally accurate. I have seen no movement my transcripts say n/a still and no return filed. My refund was quite simple only one job, EIC and that’s it. I don’t have a clue what cycle I’m on since the last time I filed was 2012(did not work in 2012 or 2013) the last cycle I was on was an 03 cycle. Do you think I’ll see an update by Monday?

I just don’t know about the people at the IRS. I had a big mess last year in a cycle group that was issued our refunds and taken back the same time before the money ever hit our account. Wmr told me to call IRS. I did. They had no clue what was going on and told me to call back after 21 days even tho I was referred to call the IRS. And they just tell u stuff to keep u from calling back. I haven’t called this year and I’m not going to. People are better off guessing the problem than calling the IRS.

I just spoke with a representative from the Ky Dept of Revenue ( (502) 564-4581 pressed 0 for operator and asked to speak with someone about my refund). I told her that the website did not recognize any of my information. She looked up my return and told me that my tax return processed on Feb 3, and my direct deposit was authorized for the same day. She said to look for the deposit in my band within 3-5 business days from the date of processing.

Hopefully the deposit will be in there tomorrow. ☺

I received notification on the morning of 1/20 that I was accepted (filed something like 1/18 on TT). Stuck with 896/570 ACA stuff but no further movement at all.

Okay everyone, after nearly an hour on hold (love how they quote you 15-20 minutes), I am actually grateful because I spoke with someone who was fairly pleasant and informative. However, since everyone seems to get different responses and often say the reps have no idea what they are talking about I am not going to go 100% off of this until I see more evidence that it is true. That being said…

She told me that when you submit your return on a non-processing day for the weekly cycle your are on (referring to us 04s which are and 05s) you are given a dead cycle code and re-sequenced to be accepted/processed on the day when they usually update your cycle. I submitted mine and received acceptance from Tax Act on 1/28, however the IRS actually received and accepted it on 1/30 and put me into re-sequencing because Thursday Night-Saturday morning is when the 05ers are updated. She said she is not sure why some companies issue submission ids with the dead cycle codes in it because it causes panic and there is often no reason for alarm and while they have been trying to veer away from the weekly updates, some people still fall into that system. She stated that at this time I am under normal processing and should see an update soon, but no later than 2/20. She did say that system updates on Saturdays and Sundays can delay WMR updating (I noticed this all day last Sunday) so to check Monday prior to calling if there are no updates on the weekend.

I hope this information is true and no just a heap of mumbo jumbo to hush me up and get me off the phone, but it sounds reasonable.

Another thought I have, if this whole acceptance on your weekly cycle date thing is true… Then when you file in the future that means you should not expect to be put into processing until your update day. So if I filed any day after Friday/Saturday I wouldn’t be processed until the following Friday, with a refund sent the following week, so closer to 2 weeks rather than 1 week that some of the dailies are getting.

Yes I agree it seems very inefficient. However, in a way it does make sense. I have read that they are trying to go to more of a daily update system, but that people are still in a weekly update system. So I suppose if you update Thursday night, then filing Thursday would mean you will be put into the following week batch. As for my 21 day mark, she said it goes by when the IRS accepts it not when the tax filing service says it was accepted. Which I get that too, but then why do the tax filing services even quote that it was accepted? I personally think some of the tax filing services give you an acceptance quote simply because it wasn’t rejected while others do not give a quote until they actually receive confirmation from the IRS. I never got confirmation from the IRS only Tax Act. I all seems very outdated and hopefully SOMEDAY the IRS will work much more smoothly. I mean you would think in this day and age they have the technology to do so.

Only difference this year vs last year is ACA and +1 additional dependent but the actual refund amount is lower due to more wages.

@Jade: I’m the same as you, I can only order them via mail, and 2014 says not available. It’s actually quite funny since the names/ss#/address is the EXACT same as this year but like you, online registration locks me out.

Here is what blows my mind. The insurance marketplace enrollment period ends on Feb 15th. I had no insurance last year because I could not afford it. How can afford this year without my refund. So next year I have to pay another penalty because of this BS 570/896. WTF!!!!!! I hope there will be a congressional hearing and the IRS bullies have to answer for the delay. Besides it deducted on the tax forms from total refund so why hold the refund like an offset.

I’m in the same boat I filed on the 1/21 I have one bar and it still says processing. I cant access my Transcripts because each time I try on line I get an registration error message and of course if you keep trying and and you get the same message it locks you out for 24 hours after your third try. I tried over the phone and it tells my my 2014 transcripts are not available. last year I had the cycle date of 20140605 then 20130605 the year before that . But in 20120501 I had a different cycle date. So i don’t know how are when we get different cycle dates but if I go by my previous cycle dates I wont see my refund until 2/20

@mstorilivsand: See, that’s what gets me about the whole fiasco. 2/20 is 2 days past your (you said you were accepted 1/28?) 21 day magic window. What also doesn’t make sense to me is that “if you don’t file on the exact day that your cycle runs you get re-sequenced”? Lastly, I understand the IRS/Tax Code is massive but it’s crazy how some agents are like “re-sequence, what’s that?” and others have tons of info about things.

As of this morning SBBT has my refund. It should post to my Chase account about 2230 pacific time. All of my Chase direct deposites happen at this time.
That makes it 0230 Eastern on the 6th where Chase is based out of. This has been the same for my return the last few returns.

You can expect to see an update possible tomorrow, but as late as Monday according to the info I just posted below. However, as far as a deposit on Saturday you really can’t count on. Look at your prior deposit dates and see if you are getting them on the same day as well. I am an 05er and I get my deposits always on a Wed.

I have heard a bunch of different things about the 2/16 date. Looking back at my returns from previous years, other comments and articles. That date has nothing to do with a direct deposit date. As far as i can see. None of us have been sent a letter stating why there would be a delay after that day. Which leads me to believe that we should get our money prior to the 21 day mark, not on the 16th. Now If we dont get our money by friday the 6th or an approval. I will really start to worry. The 21 days for jan 20th approvals is up on feb 10th. Would be nice to get some info from anyone who had a update and who is in the exact 570/896 delay due to ACA.

My DDD was 2/4/15 and was worried when I didn’t receive it. I checked my return and realized I put the wrong account number I called my bank and the IRS and they say I have to wait till the bank rejects it and they will mail a paper check in 4-6 weeks any one in the same boat? Filed my IS for the 3rd year. I e-filed this year right along with my return. I expect to get everything back as i’m a SAHM and my husband was the only one with an income. Accepted on 1/27 still shows processing but I can access my transcripts.

I spoke with someone this morning who told me it would be 5-10 days before I received the money but there was not a problem and they are waiting on funds before it is released.

@ MiMi and Jeff, yes there’s speculation that a big update is happening either tonight or overnight tonight into Friday morning. When was the first day you saw the 0’s on your transcripts? That’s the best way we can get an idea of when your transcripts will update and you’ll get a DDD.
