From what I understood 2015 is the year 05 is the week of the year and 05 is the 5th processing day. For the IRS processing days are as follows. Friday 01, Monday 02, Tuesday 03, Wednesday 04 and Thursday is 05

@Jeff- You can check your DDD on IRS.GOV “where’s my refund”. But it usually has to be the 2nd bar to tell u that. There are 3 bar status, (1) Received (2) Approved -DDD date (3) Refund sent. When mine showed the 1st bar completed I requested for a tax transcript. On that transcript it shows a cycle date and I went based off that. The next day after I requested for my tax transcript my status bar on WMR changed. Hope this helps.

I filed 01/28/2015. Got accepted by the IRS the same day and finally showed a DDD of 02/06/2015. I opted for the JH Preferred card, and it has been nothing but trouble. I called the JH Customer Service and the first lady said she didn’t see any “pending” deposits. And to wait until Monday (because they were closing for the weekend). . . I couldn’t take my first feedback so I called again, and the second JH customer service said he sees a deposit that was posted on my account today. Apparently they do all deposits by 1230pm Central time everyday. So he told me to wait 24 hours for it to be posted onto my account. I know I will not use Jackson Hewitt or the JH Preferred card next year! They have done so many mistakes up til now. I shall see if my refund is posted by tomorrow morning.

Filed 1/31 got approved 2/4 and my DDD date is 2/9 my I filed through liberty tax and did the RT transfer my refund is there and they have disbursed it to my bank on 2/6

Well I did fill out the 8962 when I filed my return, TaxAct pretty much made me do it. It didn’t ask me to attach or send the 1095-A. I was “accepted” on the 20th and have one of those “dead cycle” codes. I would think/hope they would have sent me something by now to let me know if they need me to send the 1095-A but I dunno. I have heard some people need to send it in an some don’t.

Does anyone know the IRS call center hours?

@angel no I have no codes, in wmr it still says tax topic 152 and I have one bar, I’ve read that from last year’s topics this is a generic letter that some people that got reprocessed got, but I’ve also read that some ppl who got this letter didn’t get a refund until August -September. Did ur transcript change, I wonder if anyone has gotten their refund but got a letter afterwards

I got the code 971/570 on my transcripts as well. I had insurance all year for everyone in my family, and I don’t owe any offsets or taxes according to the offset hotline number. I guess it’s another week of waiting since mine updates weekly. Grr..

My tax return was accepted 1/26, DDD 2/4 and I have 3 bars, called my bank 2/4 and they said refund came through but the bank rejected it at 6am due to the account closed the day before due to inactivity (I haven’t used my account for 60 days). It bounced back to the IRS, I researched, and it looks like Paper checks are mailed every Fridays only. Do you think if it was rejected 6am 2/4 Wednesday, it will be in time to get mailed out today, Friday, 2/6? If not, when should I receive it? My account number is correct with my name, it was just closed, so there shouldn’t be issues with them sending a check. Anybody has an experience like this in the past? I still don’t want to believe that It will take 3-5 weeks. =(

I was getting nervous because this is the longest it’s ever taken for me to go from “Returned Received” to “Return Approved” for reference I filed 1/29/15 and return was received the same day. So I did some digging and found a number for the IRS (1-800-897-3315) I had no hold time and explained to the person what was going on and she said “oh I am showing a deposit date of 2/11/15” hope this helps!

I filed head of household and he did stated he did not make enough to file. We are separated and have been for over 6 months. Do you think we will owe or what? I filed for 5 other people besides myself. They all have their money or at least DDD. I filed through Turbo Tax on 1/6. I was accepted 1/12. Lost my one lonely little bar last weekend and have been getting the generic processing message ever since. All of my transcripts come up n/a except for the wage one and it says “no record of return filed”. I have called IRS and been told that the people who filed “early” could very well be still sitting in a “que” somewhere. WTH? Any thoughts on what I should do at this point? I really need to pay my rent.

I was locked out too. Called the irs they said i had identity theft. But, then talking to the rep, it was revealed that due to an error of my sending e-file twice is probably what caused them to flag my account. 30 days to fix. If you are locked out of transcript tool, then you may have been flagged for identity issue.

sorry to spill bad news. Filed 1/27 , accepted immediately-bar not visible, no update. Good news is the rep said it doesn’t interfere with my returns processes. The cuts in funding is what has caused this. DC taking personal revenge on the IRS for the scandal last year. Nice they decided to screw with the tax payers over personal politics. Jerks.

So I was able to see all transcripts this morning but no 846 … instead the dreaded 971 and 570. WMR shows 1 bar still and 152; I filed 1/16 but resequenced 1/22. I dont have EIC and I have always had insurance through my employer as well as my spouse and our 2 dependents. The only thing that changed from the last 2 years is the fact that I’m back in school and took the ed credit. I’m sure its random but any advice? Ive seen people that have 570 then get 846 but no one had the 971 letter sent (Which I havent received by the way!) Called IRS and they wont even talk to me until the 10th!! Stressed out over this! Worst tax year for me by far.

Tax Advocate # is 1-877-777-4778. You will have to press 1 that you haven’t resolved your issue with the IRS or that you are having a financial hardship otherwise you won’t get to talk to anyone. I told them the IRS wouldn’t give me a straight answer and that I had a disconnect notice from my electric company for 2/13/15 (which sadly is true).

I’m in the same boat. Filed 1/20, accepted 1/21 and nothing has changed for me yet. My bar never disappeared but it hasn’t moved since the 21st either. i called the irs yesterday and got the 21 day run around also. I get locked out of transcripts daily. When i was finally unlocked and able to try again today, i didn’t get the info i entered is incorrect message like usual, it now says there’s technical difficulties. just waiting to try to view those now. :( it’s all very frustrating.

Could it be a 1121 error? Like I said on my transcripts it just says refund cancelled and no hold code on it. I was reading that they are backlogged. and last year a lot of people had the 1121 error. If it was frozen would it not show a credit on my account on my transcript?

Hey I have used Netspend twice for tax refund and it always hits a day earlier. I can’t remember the reason but it has to do with something about it differing from a traditional bank and being a loadable card.

Filed thru TT, Accepted on 1/25/15, lost my 1 bar on the 28th I believe had tax topic 152. NA on all transcripts, except wage it showed no return filed. I am an 05 cycle in past years. I still have 0 bars on WMR, but showed all of my transcripts this morning. Looking for a DD probably on Wednesday. Still 0 bars on WMR and tax topic 152. Maybe it will refresh tomorrow to show correct bars. I have had my refund in the bank with only two bars the last two years. Who knows this years it is crazy. Jamie yes u should unless they didn’t update the deferral and then they took it all… it could also mean that they are waiting for verification on the amount owed. If they did take the whole amount you must owe it.. they will in fact take everything in that case.. you need to contact your loans…

Bill this is what I warn people about all the time. Just because you have a refund date doesn’t mean you will get ur money there are final checks before the money is issued. 4464c is not an audit it is a review to see if there is something they can audit you about. It is also used to verify your income or what you are claiming.. very common letter.. they will give u specifics in the letter… now you will be waiting 45 plus days L

After filing and being accepted since 1/20, sitting barless and getting the generic message of “your return is being processed and a refund will be given when it becomes available” (not even a tax topic with it), being locked out of transcripts because of the identity flag, and getting the script from IRS agents that I have to wait 21 days, I would greatly welcome a letter from the IRS or given a “take further action” message on WMR. Congratulations to those that received their refunds or have seen progress, though. Guess I shall continue to play the waiting game.

If going directly to your bank, you may see it 2/10 or 2/11
If going to a hold account with TT or HRB, you may see it 2/11 or 2/12

I had the same thing I had a code 846 and was to get my refund and then changed to code 898 with the non irs debt with the 0 amount to the right and then my whole amount under that. but I know I only own like 1300.00 in debt and my student loans are deferred until 3/2014 so I should still get 4000.00 back … hmmmm totally confused

If it has not been 21 days from the date you are accepted, they IRS are not allowed to look up your account. They actually get dinged on the call if they do. In the IRS manual it actually instructs them to tell you to wait 21 days and basically get you off the phone. That code can take about a week to fall off. Mine transcripts just updated today. When there is something new the IRS always slows down.
