I talked to the bank again today, they said that my refund was rejected by them because the name does not match. I asked what name they have and its my first and last name, I checked Tax act to see what I put on my return and it has my first, middle and last name, could that be the problem? If so, is there anyway to fix it so I can still have it DD?

This is my first year ever using a prepaid card, and I am having my refund sent to my American Express Serve card on 2/11

The thing is this pre paid cards like pay pal the numbers on your account that is checking needs to be correct if you put it in your account correct if you done this your self i always call the bank or the card companies to double check the name of the bank and where the account is going to and your routing number and account number.
if you headed to like a tax prepare and they offered you a card like a pay card always see how the account is handled . See if there is a 1800 number to call if your missing your refund. See how much your refund is . Get the account number and routing number and double check by calling the card company it is going. Double check the IR does not know if your account is active or not if one number is missing or miss placed they will kick it back and it will be mailed in the mail . Santa barba bank deals with Tax slater and turbo tax. They are great sites to do your taxes but fail to double check your checking account number in check you need to physically go into the account double check and when you send it get the tax software company to give you the bank information number to call about your refund . Do not call your IRS office they will tell you the waiting processes is long , Tax software like tax slater,Turbo tax and other software uses Santa Barba bank check with them first , you have to have your amount your getting and if your filing status changed or not if not place it as your filing status and your ssn number. The DDD date will be there and when it is sent to the bank if you prepaid your account for taxes then the fees will be zero but if you want it out of your taxes a large fee usually of 200.00 is taken out it is for the processing fee that is normally drafted before you receive your refund.

If that does not help then call the IRS to get information. Where is my refund will let you know if you have to pay for any other taxes or debts that are owed. If that is not the case then call your tax prepare that did your taxes to see if they even have your paper work sent if it was sent and you gotten a DDD date then maybe it is at the office where your taxes were done sometimes that happens it needs to be picked up by the client who gotten it done. Liberty Tax service uses Santa Barba and they have it sometimes sent to their office for the clients to pick up the cards are reloaded with the refund all you have to do is sign for it . It is a protection for the client and they take their fees out. If your Hr Block then they should have it already on your card if not then it is at the office there is many reasons why your waiting …..

I have bank of america and did the same thing. Give them the account number that you provided the irs and then also the amount of your refund and the direct deposit department can tell u where your funds are. Mine were rejected the following day. Bank of America states they reject it automatically. Hope this helps.

Oh and by the way, every year I’ve had it come in at least 2 days early, 3 last year. Both state and fed. I’ve had the card 3 years, this is the 4th. They’re awesome about DD, it’s not just lip service. They actually make good on their early claim. I’ve heard they don’t have a pending action, so when they get it, they just turn around and release it immediately. Any other bank hangs on a couple days to make some free interest off your cash first.

Please do not take my word for it, but I think the 2/23/2015 is the date for when you should have your return finished by. It is supposed to be 21 days from the date you were accepted, and I was supposedly accepted on 1/29, the day I filed, but according to the 2/23/2015 date, I would have been accepted on 2/2. There are people who say that this is true because the IRS is telling them they were not actually accepted until a few days later. Do I know if this is true? No clue to be perfectly honest. All I can do is hope we get an update tonight! Good luck ya’ll!

I found out my pending one was a .50 cent overdraw because I called the phone number to check the transaction info instead of doing it online free! LMAO….I cracked up! It’s all I can do, I can’t make ’em send it any faster, so I’ll just laugh at myself for having had a glimmer of hope that they did it in one day! Yeah right! Talk about delusions of grandeur! Haha!

I’m trying out overconfidence instead of extreme paranoia this year. It’s so easy to work yourself into a frenzy of “what if’s” when dealing with the IRS. I’m not sure how well I’m doing though, I’ve already almost convinced myself I’ll be the batch after this next because I barely missed it by an hour. I hear the cutoff is 11am, which is weird, but look at how they split their week. What? Monday thru Friday wasn’t in a good enough order for you IRS? Had to rearrange it? Lol.. Bureaucrats!

I swear it’s different this year though. In recent years they would give the cycle dates, like say jan 31 to February 6 gets it February 16, and then they only gave money on that one day for that week. This year I’ve seen people with DDD 2/09, 2/10, 2/11. I just don’t recall it being like that before, although I could be wrong.

Nope. I was just looking into that. I filed and was accepted on 1/21. I got my federal refund on 2/4. The az website still can’t find any info about my tax refund even though I am using the correct info. Very irritating. The AZ website says to expect a refund (if you efile) within 7-10 business days at the earliest. I seem to recall it taking forever for their website to update last year, too.

846 means you will be getting a refund and to answer the question they can stop a refund approved or not.. Midnight on the night of deposit is when offsets no longer matter

I want to say we got our refund within 10 days. I filed earlier last year, like 1/24, and we got the money within a 10 day window. I do know we were down to get our refund on a certain day, but it came a day early.

If it did go through to have fees taken out I didn’t notice. It was so quick getting dd it kinda took me by surprise.

I’ve always had mine at least 2 days early and no issues except they didn’t enroll me in their fee plan the 1st year I had them. So after 6 grand in debits I see they’ve taken almost 350. I called and had them pull up when I called and enrolled and they reversed them. Well, I got back 200, so I don’t know if the rest I would’ve paid, fee plan or not. I figured I was lucky to even get that, so I didn’t press it. It’s 10 bucks for the plan a month and you don’t get charged for every debit or whatever….totally worth it if you’re going to purchase more than 2 things with the card in a month. They’re a lesser evil than others I think.

If your money goes on and you don’t have a card you can go to a check cashing place, Ace is where I go for net spend, but they’ll give you a temp card so you don’t have to wait. It’ll cancel the card that’s coming in the mail though. So you’ll have to reorder one with your name on it after taxes, but at least you won’t have a bunch of cash you can’t touch. I lost my card last year, I ordered it the same day I filed and my refund came first, much to my surprise. I was so thankful for the option of a temp card at the check cashing place. Especially since it didn’t come for 5 more days.

I filed and was accepted on 1/22, I was able to view my transcripts on 2/2 they updated over night (2/7/15) because I checked at midnight last night and they were still showing 971 and 570. Those are the only code I had except the usual refund codes. This morning I had a 571 action complete and 846 refund sent. My hypothesis is either they are holding a lot to give them more time to process or they are holding ones with large amounts. I had none of the triggers to hold my account except a large refund.

Most DDD for that cycle will be 2/11-2/12. The transcript deposit date is usually different from the actual DDD date because the returns are given an estimated date while they are still processing. This is to give the process additional time for any issues that come up such as offsets and missing forms.

For BMF, there are two dead cycles each year. For 2015, they are ECC-MTB Posting Cycles 201501 and 201502. BMF transactions that are sent from the campus locations during GMF Campus Production Cycles 201501, 201502, and 201503 will attempt to post to the BMF during ECC-MTB Posting Cycle 201503.

For IMF, there are three dead cycles each year. For 2015, they are ECC-MTB Posting Cycles 201501, 201502, and 201503. IMF transactions that are sent from the campus locations during GMF Campus Production Cycles 201501, 201502, 201503, and 201504 will attempt to post to the IMF during ECC-MTB Posting Cycle 201504.

Most campus processing can continue during the dead cycles. Just as with Accelerated Cycles, the majority of the impact is on Master File processing at ECC-MTB.

When we filed, we filed with turbo tax. They ask for the bank name and the routing and account numbers. I put meta when I did mine, because that’s what my netspend is. I thought all netspend accounts were through meta, so when my boyfriend filed he also put meta – not realizing that his netspend bank was a different name. HOWEVER, the routing and account numbers are correct. Can anyone tell me if this will keep him from getting it?

antonius its a generic reference number could just mean you are delayed or a glitch. call if irs tells you everything is ok then u just have to wait
