I also wanna say that last year, I received my refund before it even updated to two bars on WMR, so I’m really really hoping that’s the same case this year. How amazing would it be to wake up with the money in your account not expecting it?? That happen to me last year.

I’m in the same boat however my transcripts have not even updated to reflect a hold on my tax return. I was told by an IRS representative today them a letter was mailed on the 30th but I haven’t received that yet either. I’m really frustrated at this point but you’re not alone just to let you know…

I hate to say this, but Im glad Im not the only one. Sounds like we have the same situation. I have no debts owed, I haven’t missed filing my taxes in the past, I should be about .01 percent chance of an audit. I filed on the 22 and have the same codes. Besides a pay raise my taxes are exactly the same as last year. Have health insurance, dependents not over 17, no EIC.

I spoke with an IRS representative that stated a letter was sent to me on January 30 explaining that I was under review. It is February 6 and I still have not received that notice in the mail. WMR has not updated to reflect that information either. My transcripts are still blank showing a date of 216 2015. Is anyone else going through this situation? Is there a possibility that that notice was sent out in error. I have nothing different than last year claiming head of household, One dependent. Earned income tax credit. Health insurance through Medicare all year long.

WMR just tells you an offset occurred, not the dollar amount applied. You can check your transcripts, or call the Treasury Offset Program holiness (it’s automated) and find out how much was taken. If you haven’t gotten your deposit yet and it was due Wednesday, I’d say they took it all :-(

I’m not sure exactly what is going on…..there is a way to check your tax transcripts and read. The codes on there, I accidentally locked myself out for 24 hours because I supposedly entered the wrong information… ANYWAYS, I’m frustrated. Need new tires! These Pittsburgh winters are tough!!!!

I just did today, but today is the first day I could get into my transcripts. Story-

Filed 1/28 and accepted same day using TT. Have only shown one bar on WMR and no error codes or anything other than tax topic 152.

Spent last 6 days trying to reset my user ID from last year because I could not remember it for transcripts. Kept getting message account was on file, and to have username resent to email – but no matter ow many times I tried it never sent it.

Today, I was FINALLY able to recreate a new user ID and answered all the ID questions correctly, but then it gave me that message after I was done and ready to look at transcripts. I am not sure if is because of all my attempts to get logged in, or something else. Still trying to find out if I should call – or wait for next update tonight.

My husband had the same issue. He called and was on hold for an hour before they said it was a system error. It might not be the same situation for you but that’s what happened for us.

lyn yes u cannot admend a return until you are approved… once approved is when u mail in an admended return.. if u did both then u will be delayed if u didnt then your just waiting to be approved and thats all

Kathyarzola you cant do anything.. when u file early and are accepted early you are in a test batch. that batch doesnt always gets processed… you get re put back in the system when the season starts… that usually happens anywhere from 1 to 5 days after the start of the season… so 25 on worst case is when u were re entered into the system and started processing again

JDubb the education credit could be the problem they may want proof that you are in school. in some cases they will actually send a letter to the school asking for info to be faxed. call the irs back tell them you received your 2014 transcripts that u needed for school and it shows they codes and you want a better explanation.. don’t mention or ask you you didn’t get your money yet

Bill yes and no again…. yes it could be a generic error. but you also could be under review. and the credit not showing on the transcripts is normal because your transcripts are slowly updating as things are changing… very well could be a glitch though you really just need to call and find out more information and keep calling until you get answers and then let me know

Last year We got refund approved with a refund date of 2/3 The next day I woke up to check again and it said that some of my refund was applied to an offset. I found the amount and it was my ENTIRE refund amount. Well my wife had to file a injured spouse form and send it in. We didn’t get our refund back until April 28

Yeah the WMR site will update saying what amount was applied to the offset. If you go into your Account transcript it will show exactly how much was applied to the offset as well.

cynthia I never got a notice in the mail, it was a mistake that I got lucky to catch. Only problem is the day that they sent our refund was the day that I caught the mistake. Trying to do the same thing you are…calculate our waiting days too.

shondell thank you for the info. If you don’t mind me asking when was your ddd originally? My ddd was 02/04. It was sent out as scheduled but still waiting to see if it has been rejected and when they will mail it out. When i get on wmr it just says our refund has been sent. I found my hubby put the wrong dd number when i decided to double check everything on H&R because of a gut feeling.

I filed on 1/21. Accepted 1/21. I’m still on one bar on WMR. I read on here where you could look at your transcripts so I pulled them up. It says I have cycle 20150505. Under my codes I have in order: 150,806,766,570,768. I read somewhere that if you have a code after the 570 it doesn’t mean your frozen. Does anyone have any info that could help me know when I am going to get my refund? Thank you.

I don’t think they have anything to do with each other. My state (NY) switched from final processing to review 2 days ago and today my Federal finally updated and should be deposited next week.

Filed with turbo tax on 1-23 accecpted on same day. No emails and turbo tax still shows only accecpted. Wmr shows approved & sent for DD on 2-4.

Okay, so we were expected to be offset. Just wernt sure by how much. The offset hotline says it has been applied. Wmr says it was sent on 2-4 and shows the original amount. If an offset was applied wouldn’t it show in wmr since it says its already been sent?? Sbbt still shows nothing?!?! I’m really confused.

I filed 1/20 accepted 5pm (2 hrs after filing) then approved on 1/27 and refund DD 1/29. Fudged up my account…..My fault! my fault….. But SBBT (turbo tax) issued and mailed a check Monday 2/2, was hoping for today, since the IRS doesn’t seem to be that long at mailing checks…. but It wasn’t here today. I PRAY FOR IT BY MONDAY!

Hello all we got transcript update today with cycle # 20150505 and codes 150-768-846. Code 150 = Tax return filed. Code 768 = Earned income credit and code 846 = Refund issued. So 20150505 means it posted in 2015 on the fifth week and on the fifth day. Which gives us a post date of Feb. 05, 2015. You add four days to that day for your DDD which means we should have our money on Monday Feb. 9th. I guess there is some confusion saying IRS only deposits on Fridays. This is not true. They deposit all days except SAT and SUN. Hope this helps everyone if any questions give me a shout on here. Thanks

My husband got his dd on 1/27 and his transcript says 846 2/16.. He believes that the date on there is 21 days after he got it. I dont think they date has anything to do with it.

Finally! After being stuck with no bars and no transcripts for the past week when my 1 bar disappeared, I finally decided to call the number on WMR that said mention code 9001 and choose extension 362. I waited forever and talked to a lady who told me my refund was being held up do to idverify and said call the number to verify my address. I did that and after a long wait a nice lady came back on the line and said my refund is released and everythings done. I was so excited I thanked her and didn’t think to ask how long the direct deposit would take, but at least I know its coming for sure. Does anyone know how long it takes after your refund is released?

Good question, but if you put a correct acct. number and routing number in then it should be deposited into your bank account. The 2/23 date is on everyone’s transcript it’s suppose to be the latest date for a check to be mailed or the latest date for you to see a deposit “Word on the threads”.

@Bart I filed on 1/13 using tax slayer and was accepted 1/14. I realized after filing that it used my filing status from last year which was single and I was trying to file as HEad of Household because even though I got married this year this last 6 month or more we have not lived in the same house but anyways my bars on WMR disappeared on 1/29 or 1/30. When I went on the IRS website it said that I should submit an admended return after orginal is approved. Is that true? Im sure that is why I am still processing do you know how long that usually takes to process if the wrong filing status has been used? Thank you for any help you can give

When I called the IRS they kept saying 5 weeks at a minimum. My DDD was 1/30. According to WMR my check will be mailed by 2/7. Now I’m not complaining that it (hopefully) won’t take that long to get here but they couldve saved me some anxiety.

my hubby put i the wrong DD number in for an account that we closed a year ago. Im expecting the bank to reject the DD but everyone I talk to is sending me in circles. I can’t get ahold of the IRS to notify them of the problem. Called the 1-800-829-1040 but can’t get through to a person, its all automated. Does anyone know how to get through to someone? And when the bank rejects the dd and sends it back the IRS will their website that updates refund status update that they will be mailing me a check instead? I keep going in circles and can not get any answers!!!
