They only show a few that they have mailed out. Many notices they mail don’t show up online. My transcript updated today and never shows the letter was mailed nor did my irs account. I was told by a phone rep when it was mailed. The account won’t show that.
I have a date!! 3/20! Prayers for all of you to get yours as well! Transcripts only wmr didn’t update yet.

Only way to check is to look at transcripts to see when it was mailed. Usually it doesn’t take that long once mailed. About a week. This happened to us last year. If it’s already been rejected it should be getting ready if not already printed and mailed.
My wmr updated to the same as Jays. Transcripts still blank as well. Praying we get dates tomorrow! No paycheck after this week due to having to refile with short term again! So we really need this $$$$$
With the as of date being yesterday I would think that’s the day they start working on your return. Are you usually a weekly? If so you should see movement this Friday. If you are a daily then I would think it would update by Wednesday of next week.
Also I’d like to add that online transcripts will update a day before wmr if wmr updates at all!
Seems like good news. Check transcripts tomorrow if you’re still a daily it may be updated! I’m hoping to see movement on Friday for mine as I’m usually a weekly! Verified 3/4 online!
This is regular ID verify. My letter was mailed 2/13 and didn’t receive until 3/4. Not sure why they take so long but it’s probably just a waiting game now.

Got my letter this past Monday (3/4) and verified. Someone who verified a week before me got their DDD yesterday for next week. So I’m hoping two cycles is all is takes for me too. Filed 1/22

I think if your letter hasn’t been mailed yet the option may not come up. It was there for us though as soon as we were accepted. Update or no update for me: transcripts still blank top two n/a wmr say the same still processing it has since we’ve been able to see it it never went to path or verify message only on the online account.
If the return was too large they would mail it or if it is rejected when they try to send it. I’ve seen it happen a lot this year! It should show you on your transcripts when they mailed it.
It sounds like you had the ID me verify and to verify your return as well. They are two different things. Unfortunately I’m in the same boat as to verifying for my return. Got the lovely letter Monday and was able to do online since my account has been established for a couple years now.
Anyone had any updates yet? I know I just verified but I’m SO impatient!
So I’ve seen on other pages that some reps will tell you it takes about 2-3 weeks. They say 9 so you don’t harass them OR have any other issues with the return. We just got our letter this past Monday and hoping to get ours soon! We are usually weekly’s I’m hoping to see something next Friday on our transcript’s. I seen several say they got their date in two weeks after verifying.

So my husband pointed out to me something he seen on the news about a lot of postal agencies having issues and some even switching locations. Like the capital branches. And ours just happens to be one. We had a lady who lives about 30 minutes away mail something to us a few weeks ago and haven’t seen that either. Might actually be the post office fault. Although that’s still government crap!!
I guess that will have to be our next step if the “local” office rejects us again tomorrow. Although I’ll still check to see if this so called letter comes. Just stressing big time!
Nope. No letter. Last rep verified it was mailed 2/13 to my address. Said to make in person appointment since it was past time. Call to make appointment they asked me to wait on letter. I’m beyond furious with our government. Got people getting handouts I have 5 kids no sort of assistance and my husband is out of work until April.
How are you verifying without a letter? Everyone I have spoken to says I HAVE to have that letter. Mine still hasn’t came. Transcripts are blank/ say no return filed. Accepted 1/23
I thought I was the only one still waiting. No letter yesterday and still none today. Going to call Monday for an in person verify if it don’t come by then. This is ridiculous. Mine was mailed same day as several others that have gotten theirs.
So the 4/15 is when it’s due. That’s on most of them. I can’t see mine at all. Processing sometimes can mean that’s the next week they will process that batch of returns and can also mean nothing at all. As long as you’re not showing verify I wouldn’t worry. Hopefully it will go through the next batch of updates!
Cont. so when I call they say it’s verify identity and wait for a letter. Yesterday was day 14 and still no letter. They can see it’s been sent but I can’t. My end never stated anything except still processing.
Do you see anything on your line account (not wmr) about verifying your tax return? All of mine matches what you said about yours with the exception of my id me account saying I need to verify my return.
If it says it was mailed I’d say a week or two. If it’s the same as every check they mail. I had an amendment mailed and got it a week later.
No letter today as I already knew. Called again and was told it’s been 14 days (when originally they say wait 3 weeks!) and was told to make an appointment at the irs office. Called office and was told today was day 14 so try to wait until Friday to see if the letter shows up 😑

Yeah I check the mail either way just in case but someone said they seen theirs so I still check like crazy. Not the best year to be delaying our taxes when husband is out on medical leave and I don’t work!

The agent told me it will be mailed to what is on the current return they want to verify.
The ID verify is coming up for a lot of people this year. It doesn’t matter when you file. We always file early and have the same issue. Our letter was mailed two weeks after we filed and we are still waiting. We have 5 kids and our youngest is 6 so no difference for 6 years. It says it’s random. An agent was able to tell me when mine was mailed but it was the third agent I spoke to. They don’t all try to help unfortunately.
So last year I used TT. My ddd was 2-23 and we didn’t get our funds until 2-25! They sent them to tt first then tt had to pull their fees and send to our bank.
I googled irs near me and it pulls up local offices. Just call the one you wish to travel to.

This is from google: cycle 570 means your refund has been held, or delayed, by the IRS for an unspecified reason and an unspecified period of time. This code is very common for early filers. Sometimes the IRS will ask you to verify your identity, or take another action, and sometimes, they will just release the hold
Also, my wmr never showed I have to verify just my online account does. There was a big glitch this year with it but unfortunately mine was not a part of the glitch.
My notices don’t show up but I called and the irs could see where the letter was mailed. With you having a 150 I would think they are just reviewing the return seeing as the 150 has the 14 digit code to verify. I can’t see that because I could verify if I could. I wouldn’t panic. People seen this and it cleared up the next round of updates. Just keep a check on your online account.
From what I seen it means your ach was possibly rejected and they will mail a paper check.

I’ve mentioned to my husband about verifying in person but the closest office is over an hour away and long car rides are hard for him right now. This letter thing is a joke. I don’t see why we can’t get transcript updates and have that 150 code at least but the obviously figured we would find out the code is on them!!!

No movement for me this week. Wmr never said verify but online account does. Was told letter was mailed 2/13 and still no letter. Mail never takes 3 weeks! My husband has been injured since we filed and we have no income coming in and are about to run out of funds. Really depending on this return!!
Mine are all blank. My husband has top two blank and bottom two says 2023 but are blank/say no return filed. I don’t remember having to look up his account last year. But I guess it’s because they only do the id me now and not regular accounts like I had. Just the main ss# first which is usually the husband. I have to ask him for a code daily because I dang sure keep checking!
If you got a transcript change today then wmr should update tomorrow. It’s usually a day later. I still have yet to see any changes since I filed. But good luck to those of you who have!
Or let them ask you all these questions just to tell you they mailed the letter and to call back or go online when you it!!! If they even mailed it 😡
I would think you would see a transcript update overnight. I’m usually a weekly as well and see none of my transcripts but was told there was a letter sent out for me. There was a glitch for some that got their ddd today. I would think you were just in the next batch. I’m hoping they were wrong and I update too 😂 we will see!
I was told today that letters sent on 2/9 were being received because they had a lot of calls about them. Mine was sent out 2/13. She said I should have it by mid week next week. If not to request another. If you can see your transcripts online (unfortunately mine won’t load) if you have a code 150 for 2023 the 14 digit number is the code you actually need. If mine loads before the letter I won’t need it! I’m checking every dang day!
I was told today the acceptance date is irrelevant to the irs. You get put in different batches. They do accept early but don’t start working on them until after the opening date. They accept early to not have so many back logged when they actually open. No letter today and don’t see it for tomorrow either. Never had to wait past the 25th for my refund. So frustrating!

Sounds like these people don’t know how to do their jobs!! I’m debating on calling back tomorrow or just waiting it out to see if I update by Friday morning. If not I’ll be on the phone all dang day Friday until I get some dang answers!! This is ridiculous! I’m in the same boat and my WMR NEVER said I had action required. Just my online account says verify return.
I’m a weekly. My transcripts are still blank and I filed before opening date for irs. In previous years I would update Friday morning with a ddd about a week from then. Then Saturday WMR would finally update.
Someone said next update will be this week with a ddd of 2/28. Not sure if it’s accurate but maybe so!
Yes I have always been a weekly. Just confused because they ask all this info and still don’t help. Praying it’s an error and I update Friday morning. Or if not maybe she put it through and didn’t tell me she did so 😂 because she has to mark that I verified all that stuff!!
I spoke with someone finally and she said my letter should be here today. I told her it’s not showing on my informed delivery. She made me do ALL the verification that they ask for except the code. It made no sense. Why put me through that just to see if the letter was sent?! I’m beyond frustrated! Said if it don’t come today to call back tomorrow. But I already know it’s not coming and told her that. Just think she was trying to get me off the phone 😩
Do you have anything on your transcripts? I made a post yesterday about these letters. Unfortunately our transcripts are blank but if you have a code 150 the 14 digit identity code is under the 150 code. You would use it without the dashes online to verify id. We never received our letter and never had this happen before. We are now waiting on the phone right now to see what they say.
Man I hope this happens to me! My wmr does NOT show I need to verify ID but our transcripts are blank as well. No cycle date or anything. Online account says we need to verify before they can process but my wmr has never stated that and never went to path message either. It’s been over three weeks since we’ve filed and we have not gotten a letter to do so. I’m going insane trying to figure out what the heck is going on!
It’s probably ID verification. Seems to be doing more of that this year. We have to do ours as well and still waiting on letter. They said letter takes about 3 weeks and then 3-9 weeks for processing after that. It freaking sucks! Still waiting on my letter and we filed about three weeks ago!
Same for me. They said the letter can take 3 weeks to come in the mail then another 3-9 weeks for return. Our letter was mailed last week but nothing still. Not sure how they can mail me something i requested in two days but the identity letter takes three weeks. Feel like they are delaying on purpose.
My wmr does not say I have to verify identity but my online account says for my 2023 return to be processed I’ll have to verify. My as of date on transcripts is 2/12 and wmr still says processing. I’m a pather and never had this happen. I hope it doesn’t take forever 😩
My WMR does not say anything about verifying my identity but my online account does. My transcript for 2024 just shows as of 2-14-24 but no cycle date I’m usually an 05er. Does this only mean my online account needs to verify? I am not looking forward to waiting for months on my taxes!

Carrie have you called them or using online? The website is SUPER slow and will say unfunded at first I had to wait like 5 minutes for it to load the correct info but if you call it is faster
My DDD is 2/23 I use a traditional bank and they usually buy the book last year my DDD was 2/24 and I have notifications from 1am that day saying it posted so I’m assuming the same this year :/
Ahhh congratulations! We have a south state where I’m at but I use citizens. They are so traditional if the date is tomorrow for them they won’t post it until then! Hoping SBTPG didn’t put a date!
