If they decide to audit it, you’ll see a 420 this coming Friday. This late in the game, it’s a full blown, get your shit, and get ready to back up your taxes if you want your money. @Jae irs.gov click on get my transcript, I’m assuming that’s what they meant. You’ll have to register. That requires some kind of account (credit card, car loan, student loan).
@Nay- you’re being audited. That’s what a 420 is. Not for awhile, unfortunately. You’ll get a packet in a month/6 weeks telling you what you need.
Got my 420. Now we wait for massive amounts of paperwork, which really explains nothing, so I can make phone calls seeing what they want, so whoever is on the other end can explain nothing.

Toooooo frans. As of went to 8/5. Nothing else. redacted, I had the 9001 forever. I got the 4464c, ID verified, and it took about 8 weeks to go away. Keep in mind, that was all the way back at the very beginning of February. There were literally at least 50 people in the main chat a day, every day, talking about ID verify, so don’t automatically assume yours is another 2 months!

The guy I talked to was literally the worst human on this planet. I waited about 25 minutes (called the cp05 transcript line, heard no update so hit zero a bunch of times until I got a please hold) he picked up…. conversation:
“Hi sir, my name is Lauren and I filled on January 21. I ID verified in the middle of February and got a 570 code dated March 25th and a 971 code dated April 1st. I received a cp05 and I called on May 17th and got a referral because my 60 days was up. Other than that, my transcript is still at an As Of date of April 1st and hasn’t done anything at all since the middle of March when that was put there. I was hoping you could maybe please help me out with this?”
“Well just to let you know the 60 days is a time frame, it could be 40 days it could be 180 days.”
“Ok. But it’s been 5 months.”
“But has it been a year and a half?”
That’s literally verbatim what was said. I told him he was getting an attitude that he didn’t have a right to give me and he hung up before I got another word out. Total actual talk time: probably 2 minutes.

Not when you don’t have a TA, then when you get one they don’t call…. except every three weeks, and the IRS employees are even more worthless than before. They switch to the “bitch has a TA” script. I enjoy research and figuring out the cause behind things if possible, and I was in here for 6 months last year too because of an audit. The IRM updates a lot, and I have read and re-read it for hundreds of hours. February-April of both this year and last, it became almost an addiction. redacted, if you’re listening to your transcript, when it gets to the part that said “you have a credit balance of $x,xxx (your refund amount)…. if it doesn’t say that number anymore, you are getting your refund… but the date would be the refund date. But since that date is in the past, I am not exactly sure what that means…. It definitely means they are fucking around with your account though, so that has to be good.

Anyway, I just called, nice guy. He told me my “referral” from my cp05/45 day/60 day notice was correctly sent on the 17th (correctly? Yeah? By who’s standards?) but can take up to 60 days… but doesn’t usually take that long (usually? Oh. I don’t usually want to punch people in the throat over the phone, but here we are, Mr. whatever the fuck your name is, sir).

Nate, it’s not a huge deal, but if you don’t have an advocate it can take awhile…. they are put into batches of “bad returns” depending on how serious they think they are, and audited in order (batch 1- terrible returns who are trying to get over on the government big time, batch 10- people who made mistakes…. each batch numbered 1-1000000 and looked at in order). Batch 10 audits take like say an hour, but number 78646 doesn’t get looked at until July. I hope that makes sense. If you have a 420, get an advocate, simply for time purposes.

Ok, I would think it would be a red flag if there was no self employment on there at all, but last year they didn’t give me any issue. I think if W&I transcripts are going in at all it has to mean something (I hope). But, my as of date has been at April 1st since March. So they do what they want.

That wasn’t why I was audited, and it was never mentioned, and I never had an issue with it. I’m not telling you it’s not a problem, because I’m also still here. This is just my experience with it so far, which was only 2017 and 18.
Robb929, mine showed up too, a lot of stock, that I didn’t enter that way, but I did that last year as well, and got audited. Did you enter self employment income at all? Because if you did, it does still show up as a 1099, because they are short sales, with no dividends. Not everyone’s wage trannys showed up last week so I don’t know what’s up with that, and mine doesn’t have everything on there. Some people in the main group who showed up got theirs this week, and I got a “referral” last Friday because my 60 days was up on the 16th, but I’m not sure if any of that coincided, or is relative to you.
They batch them, in levels of “bad returns”. I doubt they think Nate is trying to get over on them on a huge scale, but the bottom line is he (or she, can’t be non politically correct here and use pronouns, who knows how nate chooses to identify) is now put into a big ass stack of all the other 420s, and will be processed manually in that order, of arrival.

Adam, I actually got my money last year at the end of May. You can call SSA, they don’t work together with the IRS, but I do know that they do use that info to verify your income (even though they don’t say that) per the IRM.
For weekly people, trannys update overnight on Thursdays into Friday, and WMR updates overnight Friday into Saturday.
I’m at day 110? 115? I have no idea. However long it’s been since January 21st.

My 2017 wages aren’t on SSA either, and I got audited last year, and got my full refund. This year, they aren’t up yet, same employer. No TA this year, she wasn’t really very helpful, nor did I feel like she moved anything any quicker. My review is up on the 16th.

If you have been trying to get some kind of answers for over 30 (? I think, might be 60) days and nobody will help you, and there is no explanation what is wrong, you don’t need a hardship. It’s on the 911 form, which is easier than calling a lot of times, if you have the ability to be able to print and fax one to your local TA office. You can find the 911 form on this site.
@Ace- No. You’re calling a call center. The call center doesn’t process refunds, or have anything to do with how fast they get processed. Call a hundred times, or don’t call at all. No matter how many calls those call centers get, doesn’t change a thing.
Checking: did anyone NOT update off of this to “return is being processed” on April 30th?

I don’t have any bars, but I have seen NOTHING but “we can’t provide any information” since JANUARY!
Day 85. Friday I unleashed havoc on two reps, and then damanded a supervisor. 48-72 hours for a call back, waiting on that. I got a TA last year, which didn’t ultimately help much anyway.
The cp05 is for 45 days and the 4464 is for 60. Also, for some reason, the 4464 is dated 3 days prior? Which is really odd….

Hi everyone. I filed with Turbotax on 1/22 and have been at 9001 (we can not provide information about your refund) since around 1/30. Got the letter to ID verify around 2/8, transcripts didn’t show up until 3/8. My processing date is 3/25 and my as of date is stuck on 4/1. I got a 570 on 3/25 and 971 for 4/1 and I got the letter on 4/2 (yesterday). Cycle is 20191005
Got a cp05 today.

Got letter to ID verify (5071c) on 2/8. Did on 2/11 online, then again via phone 2/22. Have called twice standard bullshit- nothing wrong.Hey guys. My updates: f/a 1/31, blank transcript until 3/8. Processing date 3/25 which then got me a 570-3/25 Updated again yesterday with a 971-4/1. All transcripts viewable and filed in, except wage (of course). WMR changed to 9001 we can’t provide any info about 3 days after I filed, and has been there ever since. TT 152. WMR will come up regardless of amount or status I put in.

Same thing here. I verified online on the 12th and last Friday nobody could see anything, so I called the verification line and did it with a rep. Called back again yesterday, and she saw it had gone through on the 22nd. Transcript is blank, WMR has 9001.
After you verify, the time frame- NINE WEEKS. Heads up on that. On the plus side, last week, some people got it in 5 days, but some are at week 3.
My advice- CALL. Do NOT verify online. Nobody has gotten theirs yet.

I explained that I had gotten the letter, verified 8 days ago…. she started with the “up to 9 weeks”…. she wouldn’t let me talk. I said supervisor twice, and then lost my shit. I went through a hell of an audit last year, and am dealing with ID verify (9001 or whatever) this year, and Missouri didn’t care at all.
