I’m wondering if some of us are cycle 5s who didn’t make the cutoff last week in time. I’ve had a cycle ending in 05 for the last few years. Anyone else on here have cycle number ending in 05 on transcripts for last few years? If so, maybe we’ll hear something by Friday? I don’t know. I’m trying to hold on to some hope here!

When you call, do not follow prompts for your refund. The minute you do that, it puts you in an automated system immediately. I’m pretty sure I pressed two.

When you call the make sure it’s the one ending in 1040 I think it’s 1-800-829-1040 follow the prompts to check your tax bill. (They will take the call to give a final payoff amount for you) the system will have you put in your info after that it will tell you to hold and the wait could be 30-60 mins but if you are “calling to see if you owe them” you’ll get to a live person. When in prompt DONT choose the option for the status of your tax return!!! Choose opinion for your tax account and then what the amount of your bill will be or to find out what’s the payoff amount :) hope this helps. I did this and got through each time I needed to talk to a human!

@jonny, your wife may be on to something. Mine is 10k+ because my hubby files single 0. You can bet I will be changing that though. Waiting this long for such a large amount of money is not cool. I was accepted on the 6th according to taxact but, the 21st according to its. One bar, no transcripts, getting cranky!!

I just called my bank because there isn’t anything there, my bank does not update until 5 am pct time?? so for EST it will be 8 am he said. So i am anxiously waiting. Happy Taxmas to everyone

No change here on WMR or transcripts.

Is it possible that the 4 day hold (if it is only a 4 day hold) started on Friday and not on Tuesday last week? The 2/16/15 date on transcripts meant a DD of 1/30 for people who didn’t have our problem, so it is possible that the hold began on 1/30? I have nothing to back this up with, it’s just an idea.

Just to update…

Filed/accepted 1/23. Bars and refund amount went missing on 1/28 but topic 152 still there. Message said that my tax return is still being processed and refund date would be provided when available. Transcripts were available on 1/30. WMR updated that night to show refund approved and DDD of 2/4. I did receive my deposit this morning. WMR doesn’t say it was sent yet.

So, in my case, everything was fine. Even if it meant manual review, it only took 2 days.

Ddd of 2/4. Sbbt said they sent my refund to my bank yesterday 2/3. As of 7:24am on 2/4, there is nothing pending in my bank account :(. So I guess the ddd of 2/4 is completely arbitrary if it goes through sbbt???

I hope we get some news soon. Somehow my bank processed my mortgage payment 4 times this weekend and I just woke up to my laundry room flooded from the washing machine. Every day that goes by presents another reason why I need my refund. If it takes to long, I won’t be able to have any fun with the money. I am hoping for some update this week.

I was excepted on 1/16 according to tax act, but when I called IRS yesterday they did actually accepted on 1/21! Still NO TRANSCRIPTS except the blank ones and no updates!!?? This is nuts.

My wife thinks it has something to do with the amount of taxes. This year we ended up getting a large amount. We paid in more fed taxes and it boosted our taxes. I wonder how many got their taxes back with a refund around 10k? If no one has gotten their huge amount back that could mean they want to actually manually check these returns. We didn’t do anything special the basic 1040 with W2s and Standard deductions.

My 21 days will be on the 13th I am hoping that is indeed what happens. I have never had my taxes take this long. But I did not filed in 2012 and 2013 because I did not work at all. I am hoping that has not caused a problem. I even called the IRS to make sure I did not have to file and it would not be a problem and they said since I had no income those years I thus had nothing to file with. Taxes should not be this crazy. jeez.

I was told this was because of ACA and EIC glitches that were only sorted out once the new irs software went online.

Did you add a new dependent or have to pay ACA fines?
Your file date is right in line with early filers who got reshuffled.

As of this morning, Amex Serve posted my refund to my account. I even had fees taken out of my return and it managed to get to me today, 2/4.

I FINALLY received an update today on the KY WMR that my refund was authorized and a direct deposit would be sent within 10 days. My refund was received by the state on January 21st.

Can someone please tell the steps to speaking to a live person when calling to number you ask provided it keeps taking me through an automated system.

I have gotten my federal refund but my state has not come yet. The state site it saying “received but will take 6-8 weeks” but yet others have already gotten theirs. I’m not sure what the hold up is. I think they may be auditing me

State has audited me before. And I passed with no issues. But I don’t get why state would audit when I get federal with no issue and its 6x the amount.

What could be the reason? I live in Delaware. And Incite will be helpful

I am in the same boat Jules. Filed 1/26 accepted within minutes. My account transcripts updated i think 1/29 but with only the Feb. 16, 2015 date, and No tax return filed.
I read all these horror stories about people getting thrown in review and that scares me. Can’t decide if I should call and end up getting thrown into the back of the line or just wait it out. I see people saying check previous years to find your cycle date and it should be the same. All my cycle dates are different. Last two times I filed the first of February and did not get my refund until mid and end of April. Other times I filed in January and didn’t get my refund until end of February. I guess I am one of those people who can’t go by Cycle dates LOL. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind waiting until the end if April. It was kinda nice having money after everyone blew their taxes. I find that people blow their taxes then sell stuff dirt cheap to get some of their money back. You can run up on some good deals. I just wish I had a date. The not knowing is killing me. Just give me a date so I can move on until that date =)

No update to my transcripts and direct deposit like I read on here was supposed to happen tuesday and wednesday of this week. I am starting to think a refund is never coming. I emailed my Congressman about this.

I filed 1/26 Ashley and my bar went away too. I still cannot access my transcripts, (either). Stuck with no explanation. I’m so pissed. I see people that got accepted on the 31st with DDDs, and saw on that was accepted on the 30th that has gotten their money deposited yesterday. I think I’m staying off the site from now on. I can’t take the constant disappointment. This makes no sense at all.
