The cycle date is only referring to the day your return was processed. To figure out the DDD, you add 4 days to the day of processing. So in this case 03 was yesterday, Tuesday, and 4 days after that would be Monday. Which I know is what you guessed, just wanted to clear up any confusion for anyone else.

Also I am reading that cycle date 20150503 – means 5th week which is next week 03- meaning 3rd day which would be Monday since the cycle dates start on Thursday being 1, Friday being 2 and Monday being 03. So if that formula is correct we should have our DD by Monday 02/09!!

Here’s what I learned from ordering transcripts over the past couple of years:

1. Your address has to be listed the exact same way it’s listed on your return to get in and view your transcript. If you’ve moved, you will probably have a harder time getting in.
2. Some people who received that fraud alert were eventually able to review their transcript a few days later, however some found that they were under review.
3. You can get in quickly when you sign in as “guest” after you receive the code via email. If you signed in as “guest” one year, you won’t be able to do it again the following year and will need to create an account by clicking the “reactivate user id” link after you enter the code sent to you via email.
4. If your account transcript shows up without the return transcript and has 0’s and “no tax return filed”, your tax return hasn’t finished processing and you will probably see the Return transcript a week later.
5. Once you can see your return transcript, locate the cycle date on the Account Transcript. Example: 20150505 = Tax year 2015, Week 5, Day 5. We are currently on Week 4.
6. Now, the last two years the cycle date started on Thursday and ended on Wednesday excluding weekends. 01 = Thursday, 02 = Friday, 03= Monday, 04 = Tuesday, 05 = Wednesday then repeat. Some people say the cycle days begin on Friday instead of Thursday this year. I guess only those who have received their return already can attest to that.
7. If you call the IRS, it’s hit or miss that you will get someone to look up your account and most are clueless about transcripts and cycle dates (temps).
8. WMR sucks! It works for some and not others. Missing bars are not necessarily a cause for concern and some people get their money before it updates.

Here’s what I noticed this year:
1. Some tax returns are being delayed because of the Obama health insurance (Affordable Care Act- ACA).
2. A lot of people (more than normal) are being held for review if they switched jobs, new address or dependents).
3. Some people are filing one day and getting a DDD within 3 – 5 days (lucky bastards).
4. Some people get a cycle date without the 846 code (refund code) and are then recycled back in the queue and have to wait a little longer for their refund.

I hope this helps! I’m no expert, I’m waiting like many others, but I’ve been viewing my transcripts for a few years now and they’ve been on point.

Transcripts seem to have no certain days for updating, and some never do before April, 15. The reason everyone has the Tuesday morning theory is because that was the first day they became available. What you hear less of is that people who didn’t have these codes, had updates the rest of the week. That was the updates for initial returns that were filed. Most of the freeze, action code, transcripts won’t update until April, in my expert opinion and reading the last few years of people’s issues. Codes are specifically internal. That’s the reason they call the transaction codes “internal codes for action.” But it’s really all opinion on these sites. The truth is, people only know what they’ve been told. No one has been to any classes, the IRS manual is like an encryption which has to be deciphered and to decipher you need a key. We don’t have those things. People read the manual and understand it the way they want to understand it to help them get through. But, if they were really satisfied with what they learned, why would they be on igmr and #club570 and TT and taxact, and HR Block, and every other tax forum looking for hope? I’ll say what I’ve said twice now, there are 50 different answers for each problem, and 50 more answers for each subset in a problem. I can only go on what the tax advocate said for me. No one has even asked if they have 571, and as we know, they don’t volunteer information often at the IRS. Luckily, I tricked mine into reading off all the codes on my transcript. She was blunt, but helpful. But that was just for me, it’s going to be different for everyone with these two codes. Having said that again, my expert, doctoral, mad-scientist-opinion is that most of us will see an update by Friday 11:59.59.

Guys, it has nothing to do with the amount or with any credits or anything like that. Like one of the posters here said, some of us got caught in the swirling vortex of IRS hell. That’s not a joke. That’s what happened. I filed on the 20th and just got my DDD today, for a date of 2/6. I had blank transcripts for a week and was getting pissed that no progress was being made.

Give it until the end of this week. I suspect you will see something by then,

It may be at your bank and they may not have got it into your account yet. It can take your bank some time to get it done on their end depending on their load. Not sure about the second date if wmr says 2-4 I would go by that date and check with my bank they can normaly tell you if you have a pending deposit.

To be honest it’s best not to stress about the WMR tool. It’s not the most accurate and in your case will most likely update late if at all. Quite a few people have reported having their Direct Deposits in their bank account with the WMR bar still being on one or two bars.

They only have 21 days then need to give us a notice as to why it is not approved. I doubt the irs wants to explain these refunds didnt get approved because they are incompetent and are unable to create a system to handle these issues. As of now, its just seems like the irs just figured theyd cross their fingers and hope it all works out. Without really putting a system in place for this. I filed taxes at the same time with friends who had the same approval date. They got their DDD on the 30th and all had their money by the 2nd. So, sorry im not sorry that the irs/gov cant do what the country pays them to do. Itd be different if EVERYONE had their refund delayed and not just a specific group of people. That is just them dropping the ball and being deceptive as usual in not providing us with answers. So as of now, yes I am worried that i will not get a response by the 21st day(feb 10th) because absolutely no one can get an answer on this issue. And im pretty sure the irs is aware of our questions.

I filed 1/2 and accepted that evening, only one bar on WMR and TT 152. My 2014 return is N/A on irs.gov. Checked out previous years which are 201306, 201206, 201204. What does this mean for me? Don’t feel bad about waiting for your 13k, I’m only 6k filed on the 20th, accepted on the 21st (even the two IRS people who would even pull up the return said the 21st) and no movement. Granted (YET!!?) no bars have disappeared and I’m still showing topic 152, but nothing since.

I’m with JD though, at this point, over 2 weeks in, I just want to know what’s hanging it up. This will probably be the first year I’ve gotten my PA refund before the IRS one.

A call made a few mins ago from a friend of mine. We are in #Club570 on FB.
Ok, so lol…. I was told that the 570 penalty is showing as 0 which means it’s been paid. They are not showing any other problems on my return and IF there was a hold up for longer then 21 days, by now I would have recieved a letter stating so, since I have NOT and my account is NOT showing a 971, that my return looks fine. She said, I can NOT give you a date of when the money will come, all I can say is that it WILL come before the 21 days for sure because there are no issues showing on my account. As far as these “approved” people, she said NOBODY and BIG emphasis on NOBODY who is being told by the preparer they are APPROVED and haven’t recieved their money yet, is using word play. (Her exact words) Nobody is completly approved until they are given a code 846. Refund released. She also said, that all this conflicting information is because #1, ofcourse, this is year 1 of Obama care, #2, their systems of our accounts update constantly, she said it can change by the hour on their end, INCLUDING the 846 code being placed there. But as of right now, if you filed the exact same way you did for years, and the only difference is the penalty you paid for the ACA, that you are ABSOLUTLEY FINE! EXACT WORDS here, we have to BY LAW send a notice of delay longer then 21 days. She said, ALL 570 codes are “lifted” in 4 buisness days. WHEN RELATED TO THIS ACA PENALTY. IT IS A 21 DAY TIME FRAME FROM WHEN YOU WERE NOTIFIED OF BEING ACCEPTED BY THE IRS AND NOT A SINGLE SOUL ON THIS PLANET WAS ACCEPTED BEFORE THE 20TH OF JANUARY. This woman literally pulled my account, PRINTED all of the notes made in my account and individually went over every single one of them, including the fact that I had complained about getting a million different answers from everyone. She was extremely helpful and before we hung up made sure twice that I completly understood what she was saying. I am now at peace on the refund lol this woman dug to deep to be misinforming me in my opinion.

Like I said, we shouldn’t worry because we didn’t get a notice. Many have gotten a notice already by now. IRS doesn’t send notices out at the last minute. Once they know it will go past the 21 days…they send the notice out.

Well I don’t have a cycle for this year as of yet but my 3 previous years are as followed, 20131304, 20120703, and 20120703 I checked my tax papers I did not see a form 8962 But it looks like that form is for people who had to pay for their premiums. We did not have to pay any premiums for our Health insurance I could not find my confirmation code from HR block

yes you all will need to make sure that you have code 846-which means refund sent. I got my second orange bar this morning. Thanking God because I was going to lose my mind while I was waiting. It is very frustrating to see others who filed 2-3 weeks after you get their money before you. There is no such things as first come, first serve with the IRS. That has been proven lol!! Hi @Bart! I have a question. My refund bar has disappeared. Now I get the generic msg “refund still being processed, a refund date will be given when availble” The last 3 years this has been a sign of something bad going on. Last year when this happened they told me I was re sequenced. This year by me owing child support and student loans I figured there would be a delay but the IRS told me there shouldn’t be one. I’m lost and need some insight please.

Take a look at your past year’s transcripts. If your cycle date end in the same number each time (mine and a lot of other weeklies end in 05) then most likely you are on weekly review. But if not, look at your submission/confirmation code from the company you filed with and it should have a code similar (mine is 201502) if it is (201501, 201502, or 201503) then you are in a dead cycle and will be processed until after 201504 (ends today) so it is possible you may see updates between tomorrow and Sunday.

I just end a conversation with a irs representative agent and he could not more unhelpfull I explain to him what happend that my bars went away and no topic shows just a message date the date will be provide it i explain that I recently move from one city to another here in Florida , that my bars went away and that I use tt and he because it was a man tell me that call turbo tax to see if they did something wrong I ask him if he could se if there’s something wrong with my tax file return and he don’t even ask me my info to look he just avoid my questions and said to me wait three weeks from the 20 and then call , to see if we receive the tax return and I said to him I see you receive it on where’s my refund and suddenly all disappeared I just want to know if there’s something wrong with my return so that I will know to amend or refile and he just said three weeks from the 20 th of January thank you and hang up. This is ridiculous.

Hey everyone, this is my first year filing so I really have no idea how any of this works.

How do you know if you are on a weekly cycle? People that filed the same day as me (29th) and even after just woke up with a DDD of 2/6. Yet I still can’t few transcripts. I heard people saying I could be weekly and should update sometime between tonight and Friday?

My return is very basic, 1040ez, and my return is small, under 1k so I figured that it wouldn’t take as long to process mine?

Oh my I’m really beginning to freak out! My transcripts say NOTHING literally and WMR is still at 1 bar. I am with ty on this. We aren’t going at see updates this week. And no your tax preparer can’t see you return and if it is approved neither can there bank unless they have been giving a dd notice. When the cycle ends on 2/16 the hold will release according to the IRS and manual if not action has been taken. That would mean with the deferred days and holiday not included we would have DD 4 days for daily and 7 days after for weekly. I along with others have been told that after the hold drops off like it is supposed to we will see dd. I don’t think we will see any DD until Friday 2/20 or Monday 2/23.

Hang in there Steve and other person. There are a few of us who have gotten through for people to give us specific information and it looks good for an update tomorrow or Friday. On my account personally, I was told I have a 571 code after the 570, but I can’t see that on mine because they aren’t updated. Chances are that is the way it is for others as well. I was told specifically Thursday was the day to look for movement, but I like to think a day behind. Hang in there. There’s only 5 days left until the 21 days are up.

Jamie, I use to work for a company that distributes Netspend cards, sometime they do not post funds until after 1PM or the next day. Call and ask if anything is pending and they may be able to see it. Good luck :-)

My direct deposit is scheduled for today, and it is not in my bank account. I have always recieved my refund on date given. Here is what WMR says (please let me know what you think)

No transcripts of updates here. But from what I have been reading if your prior transcripts show 05 (day date) cycle code then you are most likely weekly. Since today is the last day of the cycle, we MAY see some update tomorrow or Friday morning, I read at the latest Sunday for weeklies. Do you know if you got a dead cycle code in your confirmation/submission code? They dead cycle codes are 201501, 201502, 201503. All of these are being resequenced to be processed during 201504 (ending today). This will help you determine if you can relax for a few days lol
