I filed on the 21st in AZ and was accepted same day. When I use the state refund site, it says it can’t find my information. Couldn’t reach anyone by phone, but the recording suggested I come tot he local office. I’m now reading someone has been told that they didn’t start processing any returns until the end of the month, is that right? So maybe we should all start to see some movement soon?

DEE, last year i had the “90 days” message, and after the 90 days it switched to “120 days” . I didn’t see my state refund til MAY! Hopefully it won’t take the full 4-6 weeks before i see a change

There will probably be an update tonight (Mon-Tues) for some of us and for others overnight on Thurs to Fri. We all should know better whether our returns were processed or still stuck in limbo, resequenced for the following cycle. For instance early filers and those of us that filed up to 1/26 should have at least have a DDD OR a return that has been recycled with an incomplete transcript that reads 2/23 instead of 2/16. Either way we’re stuck in the waiting game unless you receive a letter or it’s beyond your 21 day time frame. If that happens you can call the IRS and inquire about the status of your individual return. They will have to look up your account and give you a better idea of what’s going on.

I filed on 01/28/15 and was accepted in about 15 minutes in the evening so that may make it a 01/29/15 acceptance date. I have a complicated return (as I do every year) with several schedules, dependents, etc. I am still with only one bar and no transcripts though I’m not worried just yet. Last year, my complicated return was processed with receipt of my refund in 10 days, so I’ll see where it goes from there. Of course, that doesn’t mean I still don’t check my WMR and my transcripts daily. ;-) I filed via TurboTax as I have for many years. Wishing us all a quick and speedy refund.

Additional information: The 570 code stands on its own, it is NOT related to the health care issue, as all of the clients impacted have health insurance all year through their job.

As a tax preparer, we have received a lot of complaints from our clients that took advantage of the Amazon Bonus Refund offer from Turbotax, and received a 570 hold code on their IRS account transcript. The return transcript are available in all cases so we know the return is sucessfully processed. Most returns have either a 0402 or 0405 cycle code.

We know the refund is being route through SBBT in order to purchase the Amazon gift cards. We suspect IRS is blocking refunds routing through SBBT.

i got that last year it means you are under review and you will get a letter that will say wait up to 60 days I will consider that you wait on the 22nd day than contact a hardship advocate in your area. and get them to get to get to work for you otherwise you are going to play the waiting game. but I hope it’s a error and you still get it. good luck!

1/31 filer here as well! I too don’t expect anything for a few days (that would be pretty spoiled of us), but hoping later this week at least we’ll see bar #2.

last year I lucked out majorly somehow and unknowingly picked a really good date to file, cause I remember filing on a Monday night, having it get approved in a large batch that tons of people who had filed in the last two weeks were also part of, and I got my refund exactly 7 days later on the next Monday morning. I was shocked. 1 week turnaround from filing/getting accepted to funds in my bank account.

Not sure that will happen again this year but one can dream :)

Filed 1/21 and accepted within 30minutes. I could finally see my transcripts on 1/30 and WMR switched to two bars on 1/31 with DDD of 2/4. I just called my bank and they can see the pending deposit :) but funds cant be released until 2/4.

This is the first year it has been this smooth. Hopefully everyone else’s goes the same!!

Question. I filed my taxes and they were accepted on 1/21. I’m not able to view my account transcript online but I was able to order them by mail today. Does that mean my return has been completed, because I filed my parents return as well, it’s only been a few days but it said that their account transcripts weren’t available yet? Does SBBT update throughout the day? I am on the west coast and I keep checking hoping for movement. I have a 3 day notice I need to take care of and I’m hoping it updates so I can show landlord its coming. I was diagnosed with a tumor on my brain so I was in the hospital and husband had to take time off work due to it. We really need the money just like everyone else.
I don’t want to stalk sbbt if it isn’t gonna update and no point.

My husband cycle code is 20150405 with 846 code and a DDD of 2/4

I have cycle code is 20150404 with NO 846 code and my bars are missing on WMR

Technically my cycle code was before my husbands, but for some reason his went through w/o any hold-ups, but not me.

I don’t have any bad codes just the regular codes with no 846 yet. I am really hoping for some sort of update on WMR, transcripts or something.

Well I just called about my 896/570, and the rep told me that she can see a 971 after the 570. She says its related to the healthcare penalty…..but I really really HATE this. I know how bad 971 can be.

I am starting to really wish we went ahead and had funds DD to Netspend card this year!! After last year I swore I would not use them again though. We did get our refund 2 days sooner due to Netspend, but right when it was deposited they blocked our card and my husband had to answer these ID questions they find on your Lexis Nexis report. Well, Lexis Nexis has a bunch of random/wrong info on your report and if we had not known they had this wrong info we would have answered wrong and they would not have released those funds to us. Then the fees were SO crazy….but if we would have
used them we’d have his refund which is due on 02/04.

Ok… My husbands taxes were filed on 1/26 and his cycle date 20150405 and he has the 846 refund approved code and WMR is on 2nd bar.

We are having it deposited into regular bank account at USBANK. Husband called and they don’t see the federal refund as pending yet (this was around noon today). They said something about a $400 deposit coming in tonight that was dated for 1/30???? This doesn’t match federal or state refund.

Does anyone bank with USBANK and know if they can see pending deposits early or if we should expect it on 2/4?

I had filed my return on 1/21. I received a couple of days later that my was return was processed and should be deposited by 1/30. On 1/29 my status changed to there has been a delay processing your refund. Your refund date may have changed and the reference code was 1121. It still says the same thing. I looked at my transcript and I am confused because it says my refund was sent then cancelled on 2/16 which has not happenrd.yet. can someone please help me understand. Thanks.

If you go on the irs website and look at your transcript online you can click on previous years. We filed jointly the past two years with my husband as the main filer and then I looked a just his the year before and last year was 01 then 2013 was 04 then 05 in 2012. So I don’t think it helps everyone.

I’ll say don’t panic! I switched it to netspend, and if I didn’t have fees taken out, I’d probably would have received it last friday! The years prior, I always received it on the day posted (which in this case would have been 2/4)! A bank rep last year told me it’s because the IRS specifies it has to be released on that day!

That’s exactly what’s on mine. I’m not sure about that because I’ve heard that also. I did hear something else though that I thought sounded interesting.
Basically that the same thing that happened with the last update 1/27. Will happen again this week. Many people updated tuesday and some got transcripts while other got blank transcripts. They believe that those with blank transcripts we’ll get our transcripts tonight, WMR will update the day after tomorrow and we will get our DDD for Friday 2/6. Those that got blank transcripts on Friday should see an update on this Friday and get their DD for like 2/9.

Sounds about right since they also stated the irs is understaffed because they had to let go of 17,000 employees. So some will get updates and those that don’t prbably will be re sequenced again.

So let’s hope we get an update this week. Hopefully starting with transcripts tonight. I will come back to update if anything.

Created this topic to discuss NY Refund progress. I filed 1/23, accepted 1/24, and currently the NY Refund Status website states
“We received your return and it required further review. While most returns are reviewed within 4 weeks, it may take up to 6 weeks to complete our review.” Am i the only one with this status or is this the general status message used during processing? Also anybody know how long NY Refunds are taking this year!? Thanks and good luck with returns!

I guess we’re all in the same boat! I usually file through TT, but this year I filed with JH due to business income! The fees go through republic bank via American tax processing (I believe that’s how it works). I actually set it up to go to my netspend card thinking I’ll get it earlier (last year, my bank suntrust had it pending until the day the IRS specified)! From the looks of it, iight have been better off having it go to my suntrust or navy fed account! It shows they received it through their automated system, but I have a funny feeling that it will post on the 4th (I believe you received the same message moneybaby)!

On your account transcript, if an offset is applied to a non-tax debt, you will see CODE 898 REFUND APPLIED TO NON-IRS DEBT and the amount directly beneath.

I always use taxact and republic
I sign up for texts from republic, it goes to republic first then sent to your bank from them, they transition is always faat and I’ve always gotten my DD on or before my DDD.
As soon as republic gets it they take their 19.99 and send it immediately by ACH credit. My personal bank is BBT.

Right if you went throught TaxAct they use Republic Bank for a transfer. I thought the same thing that whatever amount I owed would be taken out of my refund and the rest would go straight to my savings account. That is not the case. It will first go to Republic and then Republic will send it to your bank/credit union. Also TurboTax uses SBBT.

I was audited 2014 and I haven’t received my return yet and I have a transaction code 20150405 but I called the 1-800-829-1040 number back in Nov and requested a paper check. I believe this is an interest payment because its for a smaller amount will it be direct deposited .

Resequenced means you’re scheduled for reprocessing the following cycle(a cycle happens each week). It does not affect the 21 day timer. If you still don’t have any updates by Feb 10 the IRs will look into it.

JDubb, ElliGirl-I agree. I must admit-I almost flew into a panic after reading the other thread. I called IRS right after reading it-lol. From my call I learned 2 things: 1. They don’t give specifics about whether you’re under review or not. 2. Acceptance date from IRS is a LOT different than acceptance date on tax site (I can only speak about TT, but others using other companies are reporting the same) My acceptance date at IRS was 3 DAYS LATER than what I thought! IRS lady specifically told me I wasn’t accepted by them till that FRIDAY. Big difference between Tuesday and Friday! If our acceptance dates are different, then that changes everything. I’ve decided to stop panicking. You guys are right. We need to stay calm!

I filed through Tax Act as well and I spoke to them this morning because my DDD is 2/4 and I havent seen anything yet as well. The Rep told me that the deposits comes in batches, which means they hold the funds for that one day then release it. They recieve these batch deposits twice a day from the IRS. 8am and 4:30pm. Dont know when they update there online system. Hope that helps

I filed on 01/06 and was accepted on 01/12 and did not know anything about transcripts until some time last week, because I was wondering what the delay has been and WMR has just shown my refund in process this whole time. I stumbled upon this site and looked up my transcript and discovered I have the 896 for the ACA and a 570 with a 0.00 amount and a 971 after that. I have a cycle code of 20150405 but no 846. The 896, 570, and 971 all show dates of 02-16-2015 and the 806, 766, and 768 all have dates of 04/15/2015 and the appropriate amounts listed. I have no bars and no tax topics on WMR, just that my return is being processed. I used tax act and filed as HOH with the EIC for one dependent. I still have not received any mail from the IRS. I am going crazy with worry hoping I am not going to be one of the horror stories that isn’t going to get my return until December. I am having a baby in May and I really needed that money because we are moving. My husband is here on a green card and can’t work yet because we are in the process of dealing with our immigration case for his work permit. He is a registered nurse but right now we are relying solely on my income and this is so stressful! I was hoping to have that money to help once I go out on maternity leave and now I am terrified that it won’t happen. I can’t even sleep I am so worried about what the heck is going on. I was out on maternity leave in 2013 and my income was significantly less and so I am thinking that combined with the fact that I filed early is what flagged me for review. I wish there was more information on the transcript. Not knowing is literally making me sick.
