A bit off topic, and I apologize before hand. Just a bit of this anxiety is really getting to me.

On my netspend account I get both text and email alerting me of a deposit. And the same time I received an email and a text. I got so excited. I was washing dishes and was hurrying to dry my hands. Grab my phone and check the text. (all the while preparing myself for the happy dance, ya know? Warming up mentally!) See it’s a reminder for my dental appointment Wednesday…check my email and my mother decides to send me info on why it may be a few months before we receive our state.

Thanks Dr L and Ma. Y’all have officially caused my anxiety to spike and my heart skip a beat. It’s going to take a while to recover. Anymore surprises like this and I’m done for…

Filed 1/28 with TT. Accepted 1/2 hour later. STILL at 1 bar and transcripts not available, with account transcript showing No Return Filed. People I know who filed the same day already have their money. Beyond frustrated. On hold with IRS now, will update once I get a live person if they have anything helpful to say.

So it was 16 days total from the day I filed and was accepted (1/25) until my refund deposited in bank. I believe this was hte longest I’ve ever waited from acceptance date to get a refund. But hey, I’m just happy the waiting is over! I hope this info helps January filers that are still waiting.

I was accepted on 1/21 finally got an up date last Thursday 02/05 with DD date of 2/11. I have Netspend I still haven’t received money yet. I used HRB but don’t know what bank they use. Does anybody know what bank HRB uses?

I don’t think this is actually true. I just filed on Friday evening (2/06/15) via TurboTax and both the federal AND state returns were accepted. No issues filing State of Alabama returns with TurboTax.

Ok I filed jan 26th. It was accepted an hour later. I am having.it.deposited on an emerald card From h and r block. I filed them myself. My boyfriend had an offset. Which we know of and recoeved the letter from the fiscal bberuea.on the 5th wmr said sent to bank. When i check today it shows the offset and says to call today if not recieved. I called my card they show no pending or anything….i call the 1040 number and it says due to high call volumes they cant take my call and hang up

Single father here, filed and accepted 1/23. I called the number and got through to an advocate in no time. At first she said she couldn’t find my return, after several minutes she said she located it only to tell me it was actually accepted 1/30. Not sure why this happened but at least I can rationalize being patient for a few more days.

I also have Account Now. I didn’t get any email saying I had a deposit pending. Then again i never get any emails from them. My DDD is 2/11. I usually get my paycheck a day early and it never shows i have a pending deposit, the money is just there on Thursday instead of Friday. So i’m hoping the tax refund is the same, that i’ll get it tomorrow instead of Wednesay. If not that’s fine, but would be nice! I’ll post again tomorrow with an update, if anyone else with Account Now would do the same that would be very helpful! Thanks!

I am in the same boat; I don’t think, in fact I know that I have NEVER waited this long to get my tax refund back! I have cycle date 20150405 which is the week it was processed and not a dd date as some have been lead to think!

Still nothing for me either! And when I checked the website it said I had to wait 24 hours after my acceptance email before checking. OK well its been almost 2 weeks since I got that email. Hubby called IRS and all they would say was it should be here before the 21 days. This is such be! We used tax slayer and I will never use it again! I’m praying we get it this week at some point.

I’ve never even heard of NetSpend… is it like a prepay debit card? I have a prepaid card thru another company that says our direct deposits will post up to 2 days earlier than expected and i get my paycheck on this card a day earlier than everyone else at work. So i’m hoping to see my refund tomorrow. My luck i won’t, but i can hope :)

Does this mean I may receive my funds today seeing as its a prepaid card?

From what I’ve read the netspend people are getting their refunds back sooner BC netspend pays the fee they owe so they don’t have to go through sbbt, which in turn saves time. Don’t quote me on this, just passing along what I’ve been reading.

@pugtor Thanks for the update.. we pretty much have the same thing. No bars.. no topic… just saying your refund is being processed. Tomorrow will be the 21 days for us. So its not looking good for that 21 days. Which sucks bad!! I am hoping to have some kind of update this Friday. I didn’t hear anything but just wishful thinking.

Hi Bart, thanks a million for all the help you give out here. I’ve been watching the site for a couple of weeks now and wonder if you could clear up something? Is there any indication that certain batches (I filed/received 1-23) have actually been re-sequenced or stuck in some kind of limbo?
I don’t understand why I would still be 1 bar WMR, TT 152, N/A on top two transcripts, and no notice whatsoever. (I realize transcripts only update Tue-Sat)

If more info helps:
1040, Sched C, SE, EIC, 1 additional child tax credit
8962 jibes perfectly with 1095-a
No deductions except 1/2 self-employment tax
Same business, same range of income as last 3 years

Any help would be great.

Actually anyone who wants to hate on netspend, especially the guy named Whatever.. shoot me your email and I can send you a little proof haha. Netspend doesn’t need to be promoted, they do what they say. Most people who have issues is because they did something wrong on their end which is usually an easy fix. People just loooove to complain when it doesn’t go their way!!!!

Exact same situation for me too!! I filed on 1/31 and was accepted minutes later. My return is for an amount of about $10500. I only have one WMR bar and account transcripts with all zeros and a date of 2/23 also. Hopefully we will see movement by the end of the week.

To the person who said whatever… take a look into net spend. Too bad I can’t screen shot to prove it. At 1130pm California time on the 8th my federal was loaded on even.though I had a ddd of 2/11. I love netspend so talk smack all you want, but it’s a great card and I’ve never had an issue.

DDD 2/11/15. Filed w/ TT, fees being taken out so refund will go to SBBT first. Last year my DDD was 2/05/14, and that is the date it was sent to SBBT and then SBBT sent it to my checking account on 2/06/14, so I am not expecting to get mine deposited in my account until 2/12/15. Which is fine, as long as I know it’s on the way!

I actually filed in 2/5, accepted on 2/5 but it was after 11 am EST, so I am using 2/6 as my date. I haven not received an update on WMR….still is processing, and I am unable to look at my transcripts, it just says N/A. I know WMR only updates over night, but what about the transcripts? Does anyone know how often that updates?

UPDATE: I filed with TT on 1/26 and was accepted on 1/26 bars went missing on 2/3. I called and spoke with a Tax Advocate. They said they did have my return, but it was re-sequenced. She said this basically means they could not handle the amount of returns they received so they put some on the “back burner” until a spot opens up. She did say I should know something by Friday though. FYI if you want to speak with a Tax Advocate just tell them you are getting evicted (This is not true lol), but you have to have a hardship in order for them to help you. Their number is 1-877-275-8271. I was on hold for about 3 mins so it was quick. Just make some BS lie up and they will get you answers ;) Hope this helps!

I called and told them it’s been 21 days since it states you will receive your refund in 21 days if not you may call. And at this point it’s impossible to get mine tomorrow since nothing has been updated. She still refused & I asked to speak to a supervisor & she said have a nice day then hung up! Unfortunately I didn’t write her number down because it’s our right to speak to a supervisor according to the tax payer rights.

I’m in the exact same situation! Filed 1/31, accepted 1/31. One bar. Hasn’t moved. Refund is over 10k. I’ve always received mine within 2 weeks for the past 3-4 years and have always used Turbo Tax. 2014 transcripts show all 0s also with 2/23 date.

Filed and accepted right away. According to TT, tomorrow is my 21 days. I have been able to order my transcripts from the start and they have a cycle code of 20150405 , and should have been with everyone else that got a DD of 2/4/15. WMR bars have been gone for a week and a half and says ‘being processed’. Transcripts do not have an 846 code or any code after 766 which is the ‘credit applied’ code. Not sure what is going on but I guess I will need to call the IRS and spend half my life on the phone with them tomorrow trying to find out where my refund is.

I Filed in the afternoon on 2/3. Accepted the same day, but still no DD date. I get EIC, and this is the first year I’ve ever had self employment income (just under $1000), and have filed the appropriate schedules. Can having these extra schedules and info cause it to take alittle longer to get approved? I know others that have filed the same day, or the day after with more straight forward taxes and they have already received their DD date of 2/10 or 2/13. Anyone in the same boat as me?

Just wanted to make a topic for people who use HRBlock and get their fee’s taken out of their refund. Have you gotten it early this year?

I have used HRBlock every year so far and I do get it maybe a day or 2 early. This year is the only year I used my bank account instead of the Evil emerald card.

My daughter’s refund was scheduled for direct deposit on 2/9. It was actually RECEIEVED by TurboTax’s bank Friday 2/6 and was subsequently sent to her bank on that day. It IS available this morning. BUT, as inconsistent as IRS is this year, there is really no way to tell. Sorry

I I file electronic on 1/20/15 will aleast that what I thought until I talk to a irs rep this morning she said they receive my tax return on 1/30/15 so she went on bout you have to wait 21 days but since i told her my tax paper said i file on 1/20/15 ,she did went on and check my taxes and told me I should receive a refund by 2/20/15 or no later then 2/24/15 she gave me number to call if I don’t receive it by then I will be have my refund goin to republic bank to take out fees then to my bank so if I have to wait until 2/20/15 even if I having it direct deposit will I get it before Feb 20 can someone help please

I received a letter dated for 2-2 and I didn’t get the letter til the 6th. BUT I called the irs on the 4th just to see if I could get a update and he didn’t tell me anything about me being under review and said I was processing just fine. Makes me wonder if this is in fact a glitch or something. Anyway, I filed on 1/26 still sitting on one bar no error messages, transcript says “N/A”….ugh.

I filed 1/20. Irs said it was accepted 1/20. I called the IRS this morning. This is the 3 rd rep I’ve spoken to the most rude, and most helpful. She did state I should recieve correspondence or my refund by the 12TH. She saw where I had an ID theft indicator on my acct. She notified me that once you’re a victim of attempted ID theft they watch the acct for 3 years. The processing time frame for that is 180 days max. But she said that may or may not be the case. I could still recieve my refund by tuesday. Also don’t read into TAX TRANSCRIPTS AND CYCLE CODES. She said they always change and they aren’t accurate until after April 15. Even after we recieve our refund they still change them during tax season.
