@boboli If you’re still around, can you tell us if your 1040 had Cross River’s account and routing number on your 1040? DO NOT post what is on your 1040. I just want to know if your personal or Cross River is there, who is processing these early deposits.

I did my taxes through TT and finished on 1/19, yet on TT app it says submitted 1/22 and pending 1/19. What does this mean? Seems backwards. No acceptance or update yet. I did apply for the advance with KK and have the CTC. Anyone else in this same boat out there, because I’m confused.

Filed 1/22 in the A.M. – not path act. As of 1/22 evening, have not been accepted. Will update when it happens
I am going to merge the topics for 2/22.
I filed on 1/11 and still haven’t been accepted which is so strange to me. Usually I’m accepted the next day. Have no clue what the hold up is. I have CTC but that’s all.
Those getting accepted are part of testing. Since the IRS doesn’t officially start accepting returns until 1/29 they are held until then. Before opening day they pull small batches to test systems.
We think we might see deposits before opening in some case when in a test batch.
This is our refund cycle chart that predict how it will go down this year.
Yes that means you are in a test batch. But if claimed EITC or ACTC refund is subject to the Path Act and will be held until after 2/16.
President’ss Day will play a role with PATH this year.
If it works like other years:
Thursday 2/15 PATH “expires” but we won’t see anything change on transcripts or WMR.
Friday 2/16 transcripts will update with Code 846 Refund Issued for Thursday 2/22.
Saturday 2/17 WMR will update with Direct Deposit Date for Thursday 2/22.
*There are cases where some people may get a direct deposit earlier than 2/22. In the cases where someone meets all of these conditions 1) Paid Fees Up Front 2) Did NOT take a refund advance and 3) uses a NHB (no hold bank), a direct deposit could post to their account 1-4 days earlier.
In these cases we anticipate the first date actual money could post is Friday 2/16 in the early afternoon.
No it does not have that in the language of bill. Here is more information, it’s primarily an adjustment of the refundable portion, the amount of credit is not changing.

It just made it out of committee and went to House Floor on Friday. So it hasn’t passed yet. We will update that article as things progress and more information becomes available

ACTC is subject to PATH Act where your return can be accepted and processed. But a refund will be held until after 2/16.
You can use our refund cycle chart to get an idea when updates will happen to refunds subject to PATH Act.

We are guessing that those with weekly update accounts may see acceptances in test batches tomorrow.
Looks like they are coming out slow this year. Most people have said they have been able to get them online.
I read that if you have gotten it on the portal in the past they won’t mail it to you anymore and you must access on their portal.

The 290 is the IRS checking to make sure there is no back debt owed from unreported income or debt and if there is a 0 it is reflecting that none was found. If it stays 0, then there shouldn’t be a problem.

We rarely ban anyone, even if they have broken rules because we believe that everyone makes mistakes and especially in the heat of the moment. However, we reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason and especially if specific rules are broken. For example, racist remarks…harassment…
Recent comments that were in violations of our rules and/or off topic were removed to encourage people to move on, get back on topic and stop engaging negatively. We applied this to EVERYONE that was breaking this rule and also to some other comments simply because they were not contributing to the idea that everyone needed to move on.
Comments that harass, attack individual users, violate rights, laws or any other comment we deem offensive and not in spirit with our goals may, in our sole judgment, or upon request from other users, be removed.
But even those people who engaged in this behavior were not banned, their comments were simply removed, in hopes that everyone would just move on and get back on topic.
We allow off topic conversation, but sometimes remove it if it negatively affects our goals.
Here are some other things I’d like to specifically remind YOU and OTHERS about:
No Trolling With Multiple IPs. IPs are provided to us once you have commented. These will be checked to verify that you do not have multiple active accounts or user names.
I don’t know why y’all mad at me, lol. I just remove the bullshit. I am personally offended and affected by both racist and mental illness remarks. But I just keep on moving on… and removing the bullshit. Brushes shoulder off… And, if you are sarcastic, by all means….I am too. I am sarcastic as fuck. Some people get put on timeout just because they are part of a larger conversation/conflict, not necessarily because they did anything wrong. It is crowd control, that’s all. Never anything personal.
But back to topic, who is actually still waiting on your stimulus? Amongst all this, I don’t know who is even still waiting,.

This is the same person, baby-sitting this thread for days… If you could talk about stimulus that would be great.
We choose to have an open forum where anyone can post without registering. There are pros and cons to this type of forum, which we won’t go into here. With that, banning isn’t always as easy as the click of a button and managing inappropriate content and people takes a few step. We simply can’t do some of the things used in closed forums in this type of forum. But we will vigorously do our best to manage bullshit.
I didn’t say the harassment was ok either… I thought it was obvious that both weren’t acceptable, but apparently I have to say so.
I literally have some of you on time out and have to manually approve your comments because you can’t seem to move the f on.
Sharing personal email addresses is also against our terms.
Please stop.

Oh, and if you comment on other areas of the site, some moderators are more restrictive than me. So something might fly when one of us are looking at it, and others not. And, we let a lot more fly here in the forums than on the home page. They keep it pretty civil out there. The forum is a jungle.

If you respond to people that are obviously causing trouble, it further incites them to do more. And sometimes, when they get a response, others will join in. This makes bad situations worse. Again, please remember that feeding the trolls makes it even harder for administrators and moderators to manage them. It’s important to know that some very pervasive trolls have figured out how to subvert tools used to manage a forum. We choose to have an open forum where anyone can post without registering. There are pros and cons to this type of forum, which we won’t go into here. But please also know, we are aware of common ways trolls are managed in both closed and open forums. We simply can’t do some of the things used in closed forums in this type of forum. But we will vigorously do our best to manage trolls.
