@GR8StateTX : If that’s the case {in reference to you saying whatever your cycle was last year it will be this year}, I should get paid this week. The last 3 years in a row I’ve filed with TT in late January, have gotten accepted in less than 24 hours, and have had my money exactly 6 days after doing so {seems to fall in the neighborhood of Feb 6-8 always}. However, with no update to WMR and no account transcripts being available as of today, I’m not so sure I’ll get that lucky this time around. There’s been no changes to anything for me since being accepted within minutes of filing on the 28th. I don’t owe or anything, so I don’t get the hold up.

@Brandy I also have the same issue there was a 60 dollar difference it’s not much but it’s still money. From what I’ve found out irs can’t tell you squat but you will get a letter in the mail about the difference and can then contact someone. Hope that helps!

I see tht folks with DDD of the 3rd are seeing movement from SBBT! Its a good thing atleast I know i will have funds on the 4th with no delay. Last yr sbbt didnt receive my deposit until the deposit day, which delayed it by a day.

So frustrated….filed and accepted on 1/20 with Tax Act. Have not seen ANY movement on WMR, I have only the Wage & Income Transcript that says no return filed. I just checked WMR again and it says I have reached the maximum # of attempts…????

My fiancé filed and accepted on 1/20 with Turbo Tax and he’s got a paper check mail date (2/6) in WMR!

I was really hoping for an update over the weekend and I am feeling like now is the time to start freaking out. I file early so I have the extra money for a convention I attend in February every year.

I did check my past transcripts and all my cycle dates end in 05.

filed 1/28 accepted, then rejected for wrong ssn for my child, corrected and re-accepted 1/28 around 800pm CST, 1 BAR on WMR, TT 152, EIC and EDUC Credits.

I just logged into my TurboTax account to track my refund..no change as stated above but to the left it had percentage of people who’ve received money 0% What the heck!!!

What’s going on with TT? This is my first year using them and I am hoping I don’t regret it although they did get me more money back than HRB.

I read on another page on facebook that whatever your cycle date was last year is most likely what you will fall under this year. If that is the case I won’t receive my refund until next week. My cycle date last year was 20130405

Well, for those of you in my situation (submitted return on 1/20, accepted 1/21, 1 bar on WMR that disappeared around 1/27, no transcripts available, no updates on WMR over the weekend), I was able to get some information from an IRS agent. She said that my return was not accepted until 1/30. This is after I got a return acceptance notice on 1/21 and had initially shown 1 bar on WMR and 10 days after I submitted the return.

Filed through HRB, by the way. Last time I make that mistake.

Color me extremely aggravated.

OK Just got off phone w/ IRS. Here’s my current situation: TT says I was accepted on the 20th. Bars gone few days later. Was able to finally see 2014 transcript fri w/ all zeros and a 2/16 date. IRS told me today I was not accepted till the 23rd!! Gave me the same bs as everyone else with the 21 day, etc. But I now know that I was accepted 3 days AFTER I thought. That makes a big difference! She also mentioned next dd dates are 2/6 and 2/13? She told me I’m in normal processing right now.

I filed on 18th and accepted 20th. My transcripts have 570 and 971… Still have not received a letter. I am pretty sure this is because I have not filed 2012 taxes yet. I have a $20 refund for that year so never filed. How can I file 2012 now? And how long will it take to process and release my 2014 refund?

@Ingrid you should check the bank you’re using for a pending DD. Unless you used Netspend and in that case it won’t pend, it will be available as soon as the IRS sends it.

Just checked SBBT and my refund is showing there!!!! WMR is still showing 2 bars and sadly my bank won’t release funds until tomorrow- but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. (for those wondering… I am on the east coast so heck your sbbt account they are updating now)

I need clarification please. If you used TT but had no fees tackled on, does this mean you do not go through SBBT? That is where my confusion sits. I go over to SBBT and states no one with this social security is found. I am super confused. I have a DDD for 2/4.

@autumn, Great article! Funny and reassuring. I have officially learned my lesson. I will never file in the first couple of days of tax season ever again. I filed and was accepted on 1/20 and like most, I have been biting my nails trying not to go crazy with account transcripts that have all zeros and NO return transcript. I don’t even waste my time going to WMR anymore since it never updates before I get my money. I work in IT, they should hire me to help them maintain their shitty website! Anyway, IRS had me on the edge of my seat last year and I’ve allowed them to do it to me again! You know what they say, “Fool me once, shame on you.. Fool me again, shame on me”.. I’m going to wait until I see people posting DDD’s next year then I’ll file.

I think that anyone that filed before the 20th as well as on the 20th that we will have to wait the full three weeks before they process out returns. I know over the last three years I have filed early or on the opening day and I have waited 21 days each time. One of the years my bars went missing code 1121 etc… I still got my refund just only on the last day possible. Last year theyade early filers go to the back of the line. So they made it as if we filed on jan 31st versus early jan. And my cycle codes have been in the 601,702, 901 group which was a Friday on the 21,10, and the 28 of feb even though I filed earlier…. So I don’t expect to see anything until the 11th so maybe this weekend we will see any update and then they have four days to post it then it would be in our banks by 11/12th….. Sucks but that’s the way it’s played out for the last few years.

I know how you feel JDubb. It’s very frustrating because as many people have said, it’s ok to take our money during the year with no hesitation or delay but when it comes time to give it back, they can take as long as they want. I’ve heard that February 16th date is the date that should have been when a paper check would be mailed, therefore we should have a date this week, but every morning we get up, we see the same information-missing bars with a generic message. If I hear anything, I will let you know. Please do the same. We are on a mission to get our money lol. JDubb, where are you located? I’m in Kansas and read that my hub is in Fresno, CA where it’s being processed.

Hi Bart – I filed on 1/20 initially through HRB. That return was rejected because of a glitch in the HRB software. After finally finding someone at HRB who could help me, I refiled the same return on 1/21 and was accepted within minutes. On the 23rd, WMR showed 1 bar for me and no transcripts available. Then on 1/28, I lost the one bar on WMR and the refund amount went missing as well. WMR was unavailable for me from 1/31 at 10pm until 2/1 at 6:30pm but when it came back, there was no change in my status. Still no bars on WMR, still no refund amount and still no transcripts available — it has remained like this since.

I’ve managed to get through to an IRS rep 3 times now. Only one was willing to help me to the extent that she was able to tell me that as of last week, I did not have any offsets or money owed but she would not give me any reasons for the delay and lack of progress. The other reps said, with varying levels of rudeness, that they were unable to help me until 21 days have passed.

Any insights or help would be much appreciated!!

I filed 01/13/15 and was told accepted 01/14/15. I now believe this information is not true. I have been missing my bars for 2 weeks. I can get into account transcripts but there are 0.00 and a date of February 16th at the top. Head of Household at the bottom and nothing else. Is there anyone else that filed around the time I did? I just want to know that I’m not alone in this dreaded waiting game. Very upset about this. I’m pretty sure we were resequenced but to leave us in the dark bout what is going on with our refund.

Filed and accreted by 9:30 am eastern standard time on 1/29. No transcripts, no movement.

What you want is to be able to view your 2014 account transcripts. It is the transaction code 846 (sometimes 840 for manual refunds) you want to see under transactions. Transcripts are updated throughout the day.

Just remember you want to view them online. Ordering them does no good because once they start processing your return you can order and you may just get a virtually blank piece of paper. This doesn’t mean they are done and you have the 846 TC.

I was also told the IRS may have sent it to them already but it takes 24-48 hrs to show up on there end sometimes. BS…. This is so frustrating.

After two days of no bars or amount shown, I finally had an update on Saturday with a 02/04 DDD. Details below.

1/22 filed, accepted soon after (I filed late in the afternoon)
No bars (they disappeared Thursday 1/29, came back Saturday 1/31)
I could never access my transcripts, I was getting a message to call the identity protection number but I did request them over the phone on Friday, 1/30. I heard some say ordering may speed up the process, but I’m not sure how accurate this is.
Turbo Tax fees are to be taken out of my refund amount so I’ve been checking SBBT just in case, and no funds have been deposited as of yet.

hi bart…I filed and was accepted on the 13th my account transcripts became available Friday and my bars went missing Saturday morning saying that my return was being processed and still had my amount on the….I ordered my account transcript by phone and was able to pull it up on a computer and my wage transcripts are blank and my account transcript is blank except for the head of household status and the date of February 16 2015 at the bottom but next to the date it has 971 notice issued….I tried to contact them but haven’t been able to speak with someone as of now…..but ive read from other forums that if your transcripts are blank than you are not completely processed as of yet…and that the 971 code in this case means that they are sending out the transcripts that you requested by mail……and I believe that if I was being audited or flagged I would have additional codes as well
