Ts has me filing on the 20th accepted early on the 20th still one bar. No problems with disappearing bars but is this because I didn’t file early? I know I filed early last year and bars disappeared. I got code 1121 but refund was DD on 2/21. I notice my bars only going missing over the years when I file earlier than opening day. However I had to wait over a month for it because even though I was accepted early jan last year, I was put back into the pool as if I had filed on the opening day.
KAI am surprised so many people have had so many issues with HR Block. This is the fifth year I have filed with them using the online program. I’ve never once had any kind of issue. I even have filed my moms through them for her for the past three years. People had refunds delayed last year? I was accepted on opening day and had my refund by the 6th. This kind of baffles me.
I’m totally confused as to when they do updates, seems like random times. I guess will just keep checking around noon everyday.
AnonymousIt’s my money and I want it now………lol
AnonymousNope still only one bar here.
AnonymousMe too. I filed 1/16 accepted 1/16. Still only one bar on wmr and topic 152.
Bobby Mcinvailleaccepted 1/13 bars went away still stuck on “You refund is still being processed” never had this happen.
ElleAccepted 1/21 and still one bar. No transcripts available.
NishaI’m still on the first bar and I was accepted on the 20th…..do they do updates on the weekend?
Bobby McinvailleI had bars before they opened and they went away Tuesday when they opened I am still sitting at “Your refund is still being processed” I do know what the hold up is I have no differences in prior years or no offsets.
JayNone. Still one bar.
NatalieFiled 22nd January accepted 22nd January. No ddd yet, but shows tax topic 152
DannaI was a part of the batch last year. My refund went into my account on 1/28. Year before, on the 2nd. They no longer have “a scheduled”.
Bobby McinvailleSame thing here bar went away and still nothing this morning or any other time it has been this way since at least Tuesday when they opened.
Bobby McinvailleDo you guys actually have a bar? I had the accepted bar before they started accepting but now it has been stuck on “Your return is still being processed” anyone else with this still?
January 24, 2015 at 8:45 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093731PattyycakessI checked the pa where’s my refund this morning and mine also says that it was processed allow 4-6 weeks to be mailed
AnonymousI think it depends on the state. My state of Florida Dept. Of revenue is HORRIBLE!! They took forever to apply the amount, meanwhile the payments that were coming out of my husbands paycheck continued to come out … By the time they applied the money we ended overpaying and had to wait till OCTOBER to get it back from the state!!!
AnonymousIt does take much longer to get a return when injured spouse is filed. my husband and I had to file one year because of his child support arrears. I don’t know how they calculated how much was mine accept for the child tax credit for 2 child tax credits for my children from another marriage. I want to say that it was April when we finally got our return!
Ms MitcjRefund tracker gives me information doesn’t match. Accepted on 1/13. Called number doesn’t give an option for 2014 tax year! Never had this happen before.
Ms MitcjGa refund tracker gives me information doesn’t match message. Got accepted on 1/13/15. When call it doesn’t give an option for 2014 tax year. Never had this happen to me before.
AnonymousThis is driving me insane. Kansas Department of Revenue says state refund deposited on the 22nd and yet still no sign of it on my Greendot card.
January 24, 2015 at 6:20 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093724AnonymousI woke up this morning to a new update on my PA state return:
I just checked now and rcvd the following message:

authorized your refund on Friday, January 23, 2015.
Please allow:
10 business days to receive your refund by direct deposit, or
25 business days to receive your refund by check.
If we made any adjustments to your return, we will notify you by mail.elizabethJulie it’s franchise tax board.
rachelAll this info about refund cycle charts none of them come from the irs anymore they are just charts made up by people I found on that said I may have it next week and one that said payments will star as late as the second week in feb. I’m just anxiously waiting … every year I have gotten it within 10 days of my acceptance. And every year I still lose sleep over it….. can’t wait for a ddd last year I didn’t get my ddd it went straight from pending to sent…. sigh…
Juju1CT Return filed and accepted on 1/20 deposited 1/24!!! Yay, now wish WMR updates still one bar:(
AnonymousMy Oklahoma state was approved on 1/22/15
CamGreat news! I filed my Missouri return with TT And was accepted on 1/20 and my refund was dd on 1/22.
Missouri is usually pretty fast, but that was shockingly fast.
julieWhat is CA FTB I just saw someone mentioned that
TiffanyI filed mine w/out my W2’s, 1099s… and all those other forms but was very precise and erred on the safe side not claiming any arbitrary deductions. Well, two days after I sent in my taxes I get a freaking letter from Washington State Unemployment. They sent me a 1099-G for unemployment payed in which I PAYED BACK!!! They decided I wasn’t due unemployment and make me pay them back hundreds of dollars and then call it income? What a freaking SCAM!
I hope it doesn’t foul up what I sent them. I’ll so angry if it does.
No change for me. First Bar only.
Anonymous1 bar for me too. However they update between 3 am and 6 am eastern time…. there’s still hope!
January 24, 2015 at 2:45 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093713AnonymousI’m with you..no movement on Fed return, this is my first time ever getting anything back on state so its definitely a bonus for me..praying for ddds and quick updates for all of us ;)
PattiCheck nslds.ed.gov. You’ll need your fafsa pin to check on the status of your Federal student loans. It will tell you if you’re in default. And if you are, you will definitely receive an offset. The automated system has been glitchy, so if you want some kinda peace of mind, I would talk to a rep, but even they are emotionless/unhelpful in such a stressful situation. Your best bet is nslds. Setting up an arrangement with said institution collecting on your defaulted loan will not stop the offset. They will take whatever amount is left. I have received two offsets, myself.
AnonymousI filed on the 8th of Jan and was accepted on the12th of Jan but the only thing I have gotten so far is a change from having a bar that says your tax return is accepted to your tax return is being processed a direct deposit date will be provided when available. I even got the e-mail stating it was accepted. The other difference I noticed was on turbo tax my date change to a later date. Very weird.
danielIf I owe for outstanding student loans will that show up as a “offset”. I have some loans, but are not too old yet and really haven’t been after me for them yet. Question I guess is this, If I call the offset # and it says that there is not any then they are not actively pursuing the collection of these student loans yet ? Now, If not and I pay on them every month like im supposed to will they still take a “chunk” next year if I’m due a large refund or will they allow me to continue to pay manageable monthly payments ?
CrystalWMR and IRS2GO are up for me…still just one bar. Transcripts aren’t available…and last years address is still the info they have…ho humm
Michelle@tswan20, Thank you.
AnonymousWhen I log in on state it says your 2013 return has been received and is being processed…idk what to think about that because they took my entire refund last year because I had a lien placed on me. So I’m guessing it’s an error on their part but no info on 2014 return as of yet
amandaI am only assuming that ddds are coming very soon . I called last week and had a off set. Then called just now and no longer do. I had applied for consolidation on my defaulted loans back in November and as of January 21 the company paid my loans of. So I am unsure if the irs already sent dept of education that money or what? Confusing process
Just checked still one bar
January 24, 2015 at 12:09 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093701Wow your all lucky . I am in PA and I get 0 dollars for state ! But I filed on the 9th accepted for FED on the 12th just like you all. And I have 1 bar it hasn’t changed and I use NETSPEND. I HOPE WE all get our FED refund . I’m getting mad now that there’s nothing on the bars that they haven’t changed
MichelleUgh. …so much for that idea.
JGI just checked and still at one bar
gtjibI just checked mine, still one bar :/
MichelleJust a little info…went in to check irs2go and it says wmr not available at this time. Maybe they are down to do updates?!
*This is not the same as exceeding amount of inquiries.
MichelleJust a little something new. Just checked the irs2go and it said wmr is currently unavailable. Not the same as exceeding amount of tries. Maybe they are ready to update?!
JustWantMYMoneyI’ve gotten a refund in January every year except the past 2.
Patti,
I wish they would get their stuff together! It’s sad to say that we used to get the returns and information faster before the irs went to this “new” system!
amandaLast year I filed on the 15th, I was accepted early in the test batch and got mine on the first DDD of 2-5 or 2-6. I didn’t have an issue filing early, I didn’t wait long. The only year I really had an issue was 2012 when they changed it all to 21 days, because it gave us all an acceptance and we can expect our refund on such and such day. But a lot of people’s weren’t processed by then, so their info changed. The IRS has to first accept your return, then process and approve it, then refund sent (DDD).
That’s not true in my case. 2012 I got mine on January 28 and that’s when they only did deposits on Fridays
amandaI really don’t think any refunds will go out before February. Because, if you think about it… the government won’t earn all that interest on the money if they pay out before the first. The last time I remember a refund being issued in January. Was for 2009 tax season I believe it was Jan 31st? Why would they pay and lose interest when they can wait till the next month? They say within 21 days, if they were nasty they could make us all wait a full 21 days, but they don’t. Some country’s you have to wait like 4-6 months for a refund. I don’t expect to see any DDD for January. Only February, no matter if they opened early or not.
BenYou are the knight who says NI!
January 23, 2015 at 9:42 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093689gailWow that was really quick for PA Nic!
Patti@Navywife2001: that literally happened to me earlier tonight! They gave me amounts and dates of offsets that occurred in 2013 and 2014! It really freaked me out because it’s like, am I going to be offset again for these amounts??? But I spoke to a rep and he informed me that the case these offsets were for is now closed. The debt has been paid in full.
I am wondering what is going on with the IRS Offset system as well. Called yesterday it stated my husband nor I had any non taxable offsets. Now tonight I called because the system states they are added everyday. Now it says my husband has no offsets but I have and offset from last year with a pay date of 02/12/2014. This is getting crazy! Been filing income taxes for the past 18 years and these past two years have been crazy. Who the heck knows what is up with the IRS!!!!
PattiOK…waited thirty minutes to speak to a rep who told me that as far as he can see…nothing has come from DoE. He said, however, that this can change. I asked him about the automated message and he said it must have been a mistake on my part, that perhaps I selected a different option on accident.
I had two offsets for one federal loan. They took my whole check in 2013 and about $1200 last year. I asked the guy what it said in his system and he said that the case is “inactive.” I asked him what that meant and we were literally arguing semantics for a good five minutes before he finally admitted that this was a closed case through DoE!
What bothered me though was his ominous, “it can still change” comment. I asked him flat out if he’s seen offsets so far this tax season from DoE. This was asked to determine whether or not DoE is sending out their yearly garnishments for refunds. His response was that he, himself, have made no such calls yet. I tried to ask the right questions to get the best answers from his, “I cannot confirm nor deny” butt!
Called the hotline again, I guess I chose the correct selection, was informed that at this point in time I have no debts.
Try this one. It works
CrystalSBBT only works if you had your filing fees taken from your tax refund. Otherwise it goes straight to your personal account.
TJSame thing is happening to me so its KY not an issue on our part
kristenDid any other netspend users get anywhere on that website?
JaySure, I plan on a movement (or two) over the weekend ;) LMFAO
AnonymousI just called them this evening because I could not get my info from their site. The agent told me it was in the later process and should be approved by Monday and deposited a few days later. The return was sent to them 1/17
Refundfreakno***
RefundfreakNi just kidding but I can’t wait :)
keriWas wondering the same. I called for my husband and he had one so we called and set up payments but education said they were still taking it so I filed injured spouse. Now I called and he has no offset I dunno what happened
BenI was kind of wondering the same thing. The IRS offset my return last year to make current a student loan debt. It still shows up when I called the offset line. Even though it was paid last year.
KiriuNo update for me yet. Just the generic “within 14 days this should update” message. The spelling error “teh” made me laugh though.
PattiSo I called the offset hotline and they said I “have” two offsets. But they were applied on 2/12/14 and 2/11/13. These amounts sound familiar. Is the automated system supposed to tell me about previous offsets???
I had DIRECT loans. The Automated system said the amount of $xxxx was applied on 2/12/14 and the amount of $xxxx was applied on 2/11/13. They said nothing about an offset to occur in 2015. Can I assume that I’m in the clear? All my federal loans are in deferment until May, and I have two federal Perkins loans that I’m in an arrangement on. I’m on hold right now for an agent. But I’ve been on hold for twenty minutes already…
lettucemannope – filed with TT on 1/10 – accepted by IRS 1/12 – and there it sits.
SuzannaMine was accepted on 01/20 with a 01/15 receipt date (when I originally filed with TT). I checked this morning and received a 01/22 authorization. I noticed it took three days before they authorized it. I checked last year and that was the same length of time it took for them to authorize it. However, I have not seen a deposit yet in my bank. My feeling is based on last year – I may not see until next week. But I am remain hopeful….
You might see yours authorized hopefully tomorrow (01/24), if not by Monday.
elizabethOuch Ash that sucks did they give you a reason
Being accepted early is just them testing their transmittal system with forms and such changing over .everyone starts being processed starting opening day and this came from an IRS agent
Ash032I filed 1/15. Didn’t get notification that it was accreted until 1/21 and the CA FTB website showed it was accepted 1/15 on 1/22. Now 1/23 it says it requires extra processing and could take 8+ weeks. Nothing has changed from last year. I filed with TT. This happened the last time we filed with TT also.
