Hey Bart,

I did the ID verify on February 9th and was told by the IRS I would receive my refund in 6-8 weeks. I have checked my transcripts daily since for any update. I am still sitting at no codes, blank transcripts, with March 9, 2015 as the only date showing. Any insight at all? Thanks man!

I filed and was accepted on 2/16. On 2/24 my one bar disappeared and nothing yet. It hasn’t been that long yet but it’s never taken this long before.

the 570/971 codes are being resolved themselves, probably taking an extra week. but i spoke to hundreds of people who had the same codes of 570 and 971 on their tax transcript and 90% of the time the issue was resolved by doing nothing.

Filed 2/19 late afternoon accepted almost instantly. No movement until yesterday saturday 2/28 with update for DDD of 3/4. Seems many other 2/19ers are in same boat. Would be 13 days from filing. Not bad. Now we see if it arrives that day. Filed TaxAct and have been a TT user for years. About same turnaround time.

My 570 has had 02-23-2015 on it since I first started checking my transcripts the first week of February. It went and passed with no new changes or updates to anything on my transcript. Best wishes.

I’m so confused- filed 2/1 Accepted 2/1 have generic still processing checked transcript have receive code 150 & 806 nothing else. Have been reading your thread so I also checked verify id IRS website and says cannot verify id etc etc ……what do I do next? This is taking forever…is something wrong?

I’m still stuck with a 570 code and nothing else. My cycle was 20150505 and that has passed with no new updates. My 570 has 02-23-2015 next to it, but nothing changed this last week. We e-filed everything 1/28 accepted the same day. Hoping other people are having better luck. Before needing to file the IS, I always got my return back within 3 weeks.

As long as the IRS is sticking to the same cycle code format as last year the codes can be broken down using the info below.

The 1st 4 #s = year, next 2 #s = cycle week, last 2#s = day of the week

Cycle weeks begin on Thursdays so the 1st Cycle week started on Thurs. Jan 8th, the 2nd cycle week would be Thurs. Jan. 15th, the 3rd would be Thurs Jan. 22 and so on.

The days of the week are only business days starting with Thursday as the 1st day of the cycle week and ending with Wednesday as the 5th day. The last 2 digits will always be one of the following depending on the day of your deposit.
01 – Thurs

02 – Fri

03 – Mon

04 – Tues

05 – Wed

20150405

year – 2015

04 – 4th cycle week (beginning Thurs. Jan. 29th – Fri Jan. 30th – Mon. Feb. 2nd – Tues. Feb 3rd – Wed. Feb 4th)

05 – 5th day of cycle week 4 is Wed. Feb 4

20150405 = 2/4/2015 direct deposit date.

Bart I tried the idverify website and it said “We can not verify your ID at this time please call 1-800-blah-blah-blah. Based on a recent response you posted you are saying that I am all set then and there shouldn’t be any “ID theft/verify” hold up? Thanks

missy congrats and it depends on your bank sometimes the day before and sometimes on that day

Kalyn on way to tell is if you call and see or go to idverify.irs.gov if when filling out the info it tells u to call in then u are most likely not in ID verify.. if you filed on the 19th then u really should have a ddd soon like this week…

I have a 971 for not filing prior return. I faced to them and they received. They mentioned 6-8 weeks but try in 4 weeks to have completed. You see this happen before and did it really take this long? They confirmed it was received February 19

Just wanted to pop in and tell everyone I got my refund on 2-24 (or 2-25)? Either way it took wayyyy longer than my sons who I filed two days earlier and had his refund in 8 days. I had EIC, I went to college and I claimed my youngest daughter for the first time this year.

A little irritated because I have been trying to call the Utah State Tax Commission for over 8 months because of some issues with past state returns and have left countless messages (never had ONE message returned) and they just took from my federal return to cover about $2100.00… That I more than likely don’t even owe. (They “didn’t get” my state returns for two years so they file for me as single with no dependents, when I am married with four dependents.) So I am sure getting that money back will be like pulling teeth.

But at least the iRS finally pulled it together. I don’t know how they work returns but I think 2/6ers had a group of dipsh!ts working on our returns.

Good luck to everyone else. Hopefully everyone is getting answers now that 21 days ha passed.

The yetty no it just means ur not processing the return was billed from the computers it doesn’t mean audit it could be any reason such as I’d verify error resolutions under review for anything or full audit examination department. Tax topic isn’t something to rely on because wmr doesn’t update correctly for those who are not in normal processing… That’s y u only follow letters and codes on a transcript

I spoke to a woman named Maria who was a total failure. She said the flag was still “pending” for ID theft. She also said that I needed to “allow for mailing time” despite this being a direct deposit. When I asked why I needed to allow for mailing time, she said “How should I know what method you used?” I was shocked. She ended up hanging up on me when I asked for a tax advocate.

As of this morning, 02/28, the bars are back! I have a DD of 03/04.

My ddd was for 2-13 but my bank rejected because my husband was not on my account. The bank returned it the same day. I received the cp53a noticed 2-26 it said I don’t need to anything and the noticed was dated 3-9. It also stated that they had to review the account because the bank had rejected my refund and that it would take 8 to 10 weeks to get my check mailed to me. I called that number on the letter and the confirm to me that they are instruct to say it will be 8 to 10 weeks but it really may be less than that she also confirm that they were reviewing my refund now and this was on the same day I got the letter. So, this is where I am at right not just waiting.

Shellmiester it really depends on why it was canceled. Was it canceled because of an offset bank rejection or random audit.. This is what u need to find out n no the as of date can change as the cycle changes

I was suppose to get DD on 2/11 but now have an 1121 code and an 841 Refund Cancelled code. My question is about the AS OF Date on my transcript. At the top is say AS OF: March 02. Does this mean I will see some sort of update soon? I haven’t see any other movement on my account and the only codes I have on my transcript are 150, 766, 768, 846, 841.

Filed and accepted on 2/3. Stuck on “your refund is still processing, will update when date is available” until today. Today, I FINALLY got 2 bars (approved) and it says I will receive my refund by March 2.

I got.to look at my transcripts and now it wont let me log on again my transcript was weird had a pretty soon release date but wmr says 1121 still and has delayed still I called they really couldnt figure out why mine was still being reveiwed toldd me to call back in 30 days and she made a footnote on the page stlill very confused and bills arr due was a dummy and overspent when I got my origanal due date of the 19th any word on what to do besides wait let me know

Orchid it really depend on how fast they get the info. If you want to speed things up take all the stuff to the local irs office then it’s about 4 weeks or less

kalli Yes they can do that release the amount that they are not reviewing so that’s what you will get until the rest of the money is cleared up on their end or verified

Missy They can cancel the refund at anytime to pay the offset… So don’t get your hopes up until u get the money. Once it’s in you account then u made it without paying but if the offset hotline shows that there is an offset then your refund will be canceled and delayed 2 weeks

Hey everyone.

I’ve never filed an Injured spouse form before this were. My husband and I were due back several thousand dollars this year. Apparently, it was all kept for a student loan debt that I was unaware of (my parents told me they “handled” it years ago). My husband made every dime of income this year. I haven’t worked since August of 2013.

We filed it through the mail (tracking number confirms delivery on February 8th, 2015).

How long do we have to wait before we hear ANYTHING? I’ve read it’s a minimum of 8 weeks before we can even get an update. How long do these usually take to go through?

Hi Bart. I want to ask you a question. I filed on 1/21 and was accepted the same day. My account transcript still has all zeros and my return transcript says n/a. Anyway I called up the irs yesterday feb 27 and a nice lady told me that my return was under review and she sees that the review was closed out on feb 25 and to give it 6 to 8 weeks from the 25th. What I want to know is what does she mean when she said that it was closed out on the 25th?

Oh no! So sorry about your wedding! I definitely learned my lesson and I will.not be making any big plans with any future tax returns until I actually have money in hand! We also filed the 26th, and was accepted the same day. We were supposed to get a refund by Feb. 16 when that didnt happen I called the IRS, and could not get a response. I then called a tax advocate who tells me, we have to go thru a verification process before our return will be processed. So after, having all our bars disappear on WMR, and our transcripts saying nothing filed, we had to send in identification verification forms, a paper copy of our return and all attachments. She says she will call us back March 12 to see if we have received it yet. This is irritating, we have no letter from the IRS or anything on wmr telling us what to do. Still waiting, got our state back, still notta on federal. Sooo frustrated.

Congratulations! I’m so happy for you, although it’s still a long way away from 3/16/2015, and we shouldn’t have had to wait this long for our refund!

Still BUPKIS on this end, though. I was assigned a TA who had called me last Wednesday (in the evening!) but I missed her call because I was upstairs sleeping off my depression. Things are dire on our end.

Anyway, I called the following morning and left no less than TWO messages, and I’ve waited both Thursday and Friday for a call back. Nothing.

It appears I have to chase her down this Monday now. *sigh*

That said, NO change in anything. NO transcripts. NO orange status bar at WMR. NO letter from the IRS. NO refund. I’m beyond exasperated now.

But I’m happy that you’re seeing the light at the end of this loooooooong tunnel, Mia1/20/15. Please let us know when your refund’s been deposited so we can make a comparison between the official DD date and when you actually receive the refund. It would so incredibly appreciated.

Thanks again for your posts. You have given me – and I’m certain, countless others – hope as we try to find some hope in resolving our own refund tragedies.

For all Louisiana filers, the state of Louisiana is not releasing any state refunds until the 2nd of Mach, they original state that they were accepting returns on February 2, but do to ID theft, they were going over returns with a fine tooth comb…..just checked my status and it say, awaiting approval

The first rep I spoke to about 2 weeks ago said that it was in the error department and to wait until Monday to call so they can do a referral. Do you know anything about this process? When I called back the next rep was clueless she said she think a letter was sent on the 19th and I went to ask her what codes she see and she said she did not see any. I was upset because she could not answer any of my questions so I asked her before getting of the phone so a letter went out on the 19 right she then said she don’t see a letter went out or a code regarding one went out so at this point I was lost again and called back the next day Tuesday of last week and the referral was supposed to be sent. Guess I will call back on Monday. Please let me know if you have heard of them sending a referral . Thank you

If you have a return dd into someone else account or a card and if your name is not in or on that account it will be sent back to IRS and within 30-45 days a paper check will be sent to the address on the return
