Ok, I did some more digging and I need to correct a few things!
1.) The first week DOES include the first “half week” of January.
2.) I believe the cycle date refers to when the return is going to be processed.
3.) As per the IRS manual: “IMF computes this field as the posted cycle date PLUS four business days for Direct Deposit refunds; posted cycle date PLUS six business days for Paper Check refunds.”
So, the cycle date 20140805 would mean that the return is processed on 2/20/2014 and the actual monetary return would be the cycle date PLUS 4 business days. Thus, the return should be scheduled for 2/26/2014. (Which is almost essentially the same thing as I posted before but I think that this is a more correct way to interpret cycle dates.)
Again, my interpretation could be totally wrong so don’t rely solely on my thoughts!
I filed my taxes with TurboTax, as I have for the past 8 years. When I use WMR, my bar says return was accepted and I should receive my refund within 21 days. When I check the status of my return through TurboTax, it shows me a DDD of 3/7. But below the DDD information, TurboTax shows this little chart that shows people who’s returns were accepted the same day as mines (2/15) and that already 59% of the users have already received their refund. I already looked at the transcript from the IRS and the date they give me is 3/10.
Has anybody receive their return that was accepted on 2/15? Any progress at all?

I was doing some research trying to understand how the cycle codes work. I found this page and found a portion of the IRS manual that seems to pertain to cycle codes.
“IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined: 01 = Friday, 02 = Monday, 03 = Tuesday, 04 = Wednesday, 05 = Thursday.”
My cycle code is: 20140805. Assuming I understand this correctly and I am reading the right portion of the IRS manual, this would mean that I should see my refund in year 2014, 8th week of the year, on the 5th day of the week. (February 27, 2014) I am also assuming that WEEK 1 begins with the first FULL week of January and does not include the “half-week” at the very beginning.
Unfortunately, I cannot yet confirm this as my WMR still only shows one bar. Perhaps others who have received their refund can confirm that this is accurate. I will update once I have received a DDD on WMR. Hope this helps!

Got 20140805 when will I get my money. Getting frustrated
I filed on 1/29 and TT said I was accepted on 1/30, I have been on the no bars showing only processing for about a week and 3 days now, at first it didn’t have my refund amount, then early this week that popped up. I called the IRS yesterday and spoke with a person who said my return wasn’t actually accepted until the 14th and to only rely on that date. She told me to wait 21 days from that day to call again if it has not gone through by then. So now Im looking at approximately waiting until march 7 for my return. So anyone else stuck there is hope, I think they are just really behind and aren’t admitting it.
The irs accepted my return on Feb 4th and I am still showing in process on WMR. I checked my transcripts and only 2013 account transcript is show and has cycle code 20140805 . Has anyone received their refund that has this code?
Mine still hasn’t freaking updated. Still says processing and I filed on the 30th. I did my mom’s taxes 5 days later and she has her state already.

I filed on 1/31 and have had this status for over 2 weeks now!!! Everyone else I know that has filed received their returns within 10 days! ;(
I filed mine through their website and whenever I call it states that no return has been received for me, but when I log in, it shows that it has been processed. I’m not sure what is going on with them. Hope that helps.

I received my Federal refund today but my State of Wisconsin status still says processing. Very frustrating

Correction to my earlier post ***i received tax topic 151 not 152
I got the code 1252 last year with the message of tax topic 152 and stating I would receive something in the mail and not to contact the irs until I did so. It ended up being a correspondence audit, over the EIC, which baffled me as all my prior returns the last few years have been pretty similar, but to give everyone a heads up I waited to receive the letter and it asked for documents to prove I was HOH such as bg&e bills, rent receipts, etc and to prove my children lived with my all year I had to get letters from their school and pediatrician on their letterheads (IRS was very specific about that)! I filed on 2/22, received irs letter 3/12, mailed documents certified on 3/31 and heard nothing back whatsoever and then out of nowhere my entire refund I was supposed to receive was direct deposited in my account at the end of July….yes the end of July!!! Needless to say I was happy to receive it but it was a huge headache and this year I have yet to file-I want to but nervous it will happen all over again, since I read stories about people having this happen to them for several consecutive years! Hope this info helps someone, I know last year this site was my saving grace while I was going through my tax refund hell! Best luck to you all!
I filed 1/31 and approved 2/1. As of today, 2/20, WMR still shows “processing”. Haven’t had any bars showing for days. I was able to access tax transcripts with cycle date: 20140705. Any idea what that could mean? There are no codes other than “tax topic 152” which just talks about refunds. Very frustrated.

@barbiedawhl, call this number for offsets….1800-304-3107, an automated system will tell you if you have any pending debts or not. I didn’t want to call either, but luckily I didn’t have any and I feel much better now.
My DDD is 2/20/14 I just checked my Netspend card and my refund has been deposited on 2/19/14. Those of you that have a 2/20/14 that look promising for others.
OK MY DDD IS 2/20/14 NOTHING IN MY BANK AS OF YET I BANK WITH WELLS FARGO…. WMR WEBSITE STILL HAVE THE SAME INFO… HOPING TO GET MY REFUND TOMORROW :}
Checked website in the wee morning hours of Thursday 2/19/14 said DD set for next week the 26th.
Today i look and its back to the “your return has been accepted and we will release a date yadda yadda”
i wonder if its going to be here or not!???

846 Refund Issued- 3/10I filed my sisters taxes thru Turbo Tax. She go a DDD of 2-20-14 and had it on her NetSpend card at 9pm on 2-17-14
My return was accepted on 1/29/14 and I am still processing. I have no offsets or debts. I haven’t received any letters from IRS. I have absolutely no idea what the hold up is.

Mine got accepted 1/28, supposedly dd 2/6 but got 1121 code..Early this week i got “we received your tax return and now it’s being processed..” hasn’t changed yet…now i re-ordered my transcript and i got another date

I filed on 2/6 and still on one bar!! This has never happened before with me!! I opted for DD and thought I would have received my refund by now but still nothing. I have tried calling the irs 20 times and nothing it will not let me speak to a live representative it is really starting to tick me off!!
this is my third yr with identity theft,second using an IP pin. the first yr was gruesome! i didnt get my refund until nov.2012. last yr i received my refund in june, after filing in february. so the wait gets shorter, haha. the earlier you file, the better. i just filed my return thhis yr on feb 15th, accepted, but still processing…..
@Steph336, quick question if you don’t mind. No BIG rush but here it is. My tax preparer efiled last Thursday, Feb 15th. I haven’t filed taxes for about 9 years now as I was a SAHM. I finally started working again and filed this year as HOH with 3 dependents. My ex has claimed the boys up until this year since I wasn’t working. However I have full custody and he has no rights to claim them this year since hes provided no support whatsoever. My wmr hasn’t moved since it was filed except to add tax topic 152 last night. Can you tell me when to expect it to be approved and when I can get a DDD?
I bank with Chase and the only time that I get my refund early is when I put it on a NetSpend card or something like that. I just don’t like the fees associated with withdrawing it so I will gladly wait two extra days. I’m not going to die. lol My DDD is 2/21.
Why does everyone say they are 2/12 when the Chart shows the 13th as being the date? on the WMR Website it says “You will receive BY 2/20” does that mean im a “2/19er”

I have a ddd for 2/21… Which is crazy cause I see my post in this forum from last year and I had a ddd 2/22 and I got it 3 days early! Hopefully it’s a trend. And it’s coming to my Netspend card no fees.

I filed 2/5 accepted 2/5 approved 2/14 with a ddd of 2/21, I used hrblock online, and had fees taken out and it goes to my emerald card, anyine know the process? Like where does it go for the fees and maybe a link to check the status? Im hoping I get it early, like everyone else
My taxes were excepted on 2/12. As of today there is no change still on that first bar. I thought it would be processing by now. Does anyone have the same acceptance date and are they in processing or with a add date? Does anyone even know a estimated deposit date for me? THANK YOU
