Sample=20140605 is Thursday+4 business days=Wednesday 2/12 as your anticipated DDD

So I have this on my transcript: 20140803 and after getting my transcripts over the weekend finally!! Any suggestions on when I may get a may get a DDD

I used turbo tax and efiled on March 3 and it was accepted the same day. I was given a date of March 23rd as my dd, which I thought was odd cause it was on a Sunday. Today is day 21 and WMR still says, “your tax return is still being possessed.”
What is going on?
How do I get a cycle code?

I filed/accepted 2/18/2014. I have codes:
971 03/17/2014
570 03/17/2014I pulled my trans and see that I claimed the Addtnl Child Tax Credit in error (I only have one child). The IRS already took the 630 off of my expected refund amount and it is updated in the AT’s. Under where it shows ‘Tax Return Filed’ on the AT, I have a Cycle Code of 20140905. I got curious about this and called the IRS yesterday. I got a very young sounding girl who did not seem to know much more than I did from the AT’s. She put me on hold and came back to say that ‘bc I filed MFS they are reviewing my Child and Dependant Care Expenses which could take 60days’. She also said there was a letter sent to me last week but that she didn’t know what the letter said or what it meant. I explained about the ACTC and she confirmed what I was seeing. I asked if that was in fact the issue that she was referring to and she said it could be. That led me to ask her if she could see the letter and she said no… I asked if she could see anything besides my transcript and she said basically, no. Then, I asked if it was possible that the ACTC was the issue and, since the IRS alrdy dealt with it, it was possible my refund could already be in process of release/DD and that the system/AT was just not updated yet… and she said that was possible. It seems to me the IRS reps just do not know what is going on outside of the recent AT’s which, to my understanding, are not updated more than once a week.
Has anyone else had this type of issue? I am trying to be patient and wait and I know the letter is on its way but I just cannot stand the mismanaged way this is handled every year.
Any thoughts and shared experiences are greatly appreciated :-)

I had a change in my refund amount due to incorrectly selecting the Additional Child Tax Credit (I only have one.). My AT/TRT/etc. show that they made the adjustment themselves. WMR just shows that it is processing. I filed 2/18, accepted same day.

I know you cannot tell me for certain but I am wondering if I should even be concerned at all or if it is all just SOP.

Can anyone confirm if they have received their refund based on the dates for DDD on the aforementioned calendar(s)? I am in the 20140905 group so I am hoping for 3/5/14. I filed and was accepted on 2/18/2014 so that will be almost exactly 2wks. I pulled my transcripts and I have codes 971 (Notice Issues) and 570 (Addtl Action Pending). I believe it is because there was a mistake on my end but the IRS corrected it themselves and recalculated the refund. They then updated my refund amount to reflect their correction. Could this be why it has codes 971 and 570? I just want something to put my mind at ease b/c no one at Turbo Tax seems to have a clue.

Yea mine disappear about a week ago as well as long as u can print ur transcript your usually good I filed on 2/5 was accepted on 2/6 had the bar for about 2 1/2 weeks started getting worried and found this site hopefully ray is on point with the info he gave seems like it to me of I dont see a change on the 5th im gunna call ill give an update if anything changes, melissa if u cold let me know if anything changes on ur end I would appreciate it

Melissa- have the same cycle as per ray our dd should be 2/27+ 4 business so we should see something on 3/5 I hope still nothing has updated on wmr for me either says still procrssing so hopefully we will se something change by the 5th

So maybe I am jumping the gun here but H&R e-filed my return on 02/25 and it was accepted by the IRS within the hour. I checked WMR today and it only has one bar that says received, BUT when I pulled my 2013 account transcript I have code 846 “Refund Issued” and cycle 20140905 so is it really possible that my refund was DD’d on 02/27 or is the cycle date not relevant until WMR says approved and has more bars than just one?
Please advise.

Im so confused please help…
I called the irs today am and they told me that im under a review that a letter was dated 2/20 to be sent home, Supposedly i need to provide extra info on my taxes BUT i was finally able to access my transcript account today early afternoon and this is what it says…
return due date or return received date( whichever is later ) apr 15/2014

A quick update, refund has been approved and DDD of 2/26/2014 is showing up on WMR.
Also note that the cycle calendar posted by Ray is 100% correct. I was just trying to figure our how to decipher the cycle codes for myself. ;)

Does anyone know why the transcript would show a Cycle Code 20140805 and a refund issue date of 3/10/14? If I am understanding this correctly the refund should be arriving next wed. according the Cycle Code. So confusing!

Jill- all of us with 20140805 cycle dates have that. I had it in previous transcripts for prior years as well and it had nothing to do with the ddd, even though it appears as it does.
We should see our money on 2/26/2014. :)-
Does this include if you have a 20140805 cycle code but have a 570 code with “$0.00” next to it?

I e-filed on 01/31/2014 and at some point the wmr stated that my refund was sent on 2/11/2014 but I never got the dd. Now wmr only showing “we have recevied your refund and it is being processed”. I am confused as well because it said sent then I never received my refund. I am so frustrated because it was not like this last year. My cycle is 20140604 and still no refund. I printed my account transcript and it has future dates and I don’t understand it.

Ok, I did some more digging and I need to correct a few things!
1.) The first week DOES include the first “half week” of January.
2.) I believe the cycle date refers to when the return is going to be processed.
3.) As per the IRS manual: “IMF computes this field as the posted cycle date PLUS four business days for Direct Deposit refunds; posted cycle date PLUS six business days for Paper Check refunds.”
So, the cycle date 20140805 would mean that the return is processed on 2/20/2014 and the actual monetary return would be the cycle date PLUS 4 business days. Thus, the return should be scheduled for 2/26/2014. (Which is almost essentially the same thing as I posted before but I think that this is a more correct way to interpret cycle dates.)
Again, my interpretation could be totally wrong so don’t rely solely on my thoughts!

I was doing some research trying to understand how the cycle codes work. I found this page and found a portion of the IRS manual that seems to pertain to cycle codes.
“IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined: 01 = Friday, 02 = Monday, 03 = Tuesday, 04 = Wednesday, 05 = Thursday.”
My cycle code is: 20140805. Assuming I understand this correctly and I am reading the right portion of the IRS manual, this would mean that I should see my refund in year 2014, 8th week of the year, on the 5th day of the week. (February 27, 2014) I am also assuming that WEEK 1 begins with the first FULL week of January and does not include the “half-week” at the very beginning.
Unfortunately, I cannot yet confirm this as my WMR still only shows one bar. Perhaps others who have received their refund can confirm that this is accurate. I will update once I have received a DDD on WMR. Hope this helps!

The irs accepted my return on Feb 4th and I am still showing in process on WMR. I checked my transcripts and only 2013 account transcript is show and has cycle code 20140805 . Has anyone received their refund that has this code?

I filed 1/31 and approved 2/1. As of today, 2/20, WMR still shows “processing”. Haven’t had any bars showing for days. I was able to access tax transcripts with cycle date: 20140705. Any idea what that could mean? There are no codes other than “tax topic 152” which just talks about refunds. Very frustrated.

i seen the date march 3 2014 as of on my transcript but it says that they dont have my 2013 returns record. but on wmr its say recieved processing i think accpted 2/5 but still processing but i filed 2/27 or 2/28 on the bottom of wmr i did see topic 152.

I’ve been accepted on 01-30, I have cycle code 20140605, no bad codes on my transcripts, which I have been able to order and see for the last 7 days, no DD, WMR is still saying ” still processing”…ugh!

I have the same cycle code with a date of2/13 as well. It is 4 business days from that date. You don’t count holidays. My ddd date is 2/20/2014

Keep in mind that Monday is a bank holiday so those of us expecting a return this coming week may be off by a day. I looked at my transcripts from past years and compared them to when I got my deposit and it is in line with the time frame referenced above. That being said, I wouldn’t write checks or make transactions planning on the money being there because the IRS has been really wonky this year. The procedures of your bank or money card will also factor in. My transcript just came up today without the * next to the date, but the WMR still only shows it as received. I think the transcripts are more accurate and updated more often (it still had an * and was unfiled this morning) so I trust that more than I trust the WMR.

The code 20140705 means that was the day it was processed. Your DDD date is four business days from that date. So the processed date was 02/13/14, the DDD date will be Wednesday, 02/19/14, if this information is correct.
