I’m gonna copy/paste what I just wrote in another thread cause it’s super relevant here:

I gotta say, this is the 3rd year in a row where I see early filers (before 1/20 or so) who get shafted and end up waiting longer than most. Last year I was accepted and received my deposit all within about 7 days, yet there were people who filed way before me still waiting. That was the same scenario the year before that. I knew this year that I’d definitely be waiting until at least today to file, which is what I did. It sucks for the people who file early and think they’ll get their money first but unfortunately that’s not the case it seems.

My one word of advice is wait a couple weeks (end of Jan/beginning of Feb) to let them work out the kinks in the system before you fle, cause it’s pretty much a proven track record at this point that if you file early, you get the shaft.

I got my transcripts and codes 570 and 971 are listed. Filed with TT on 1/18 and accepted 1/20. Haven’t receieved a letter yet.. What do these codes mean?

Just found this:

The State of Arizona Department of Revenue just confirmed for me: They won’t be processing their state returns until January 31, 2015. So they figure 10-15 days after that is when to expect your refund if you selected direct deposit.

To get further clarification you can refer to: toll-free 1-800-352-4090 and follow the prompts: Press 1 for English OR press 2 for Spanish. Then press 0 to speak to the next available agent.

I did the netspend thing before, they hit you up with a charge every time you swipe your card and limit how much you can spend per day, not worth it. I’ll stay with a normal bank, even if I have to wait a few extra days.

So I filed my taxes on the 18th they got accepted an 1 bar filled in on (WMR) by the 20th I used turbo tax today I still have nothing on (WMR) other then the first stage…check my transcripts tonight was able to view account transcript for this year which included all 0’s and said I have not filed taxes yet …I’am not able to view refund transcripts soo I’m kinda freaking out any help is better then none

I too have 20150405 as a code and my WMR finally updated overnight to say that my DDD is 2/4/15. I found the website for the bank that is used to take fees out if you used Turbo Tax to file and wanted to have your filing fees taken out of your refund. It is https://cisc.sbtpg.com and you can put your information in and they will tell you if they have received your funds from the IRS yet. I have tried it and it told me despite not having the money yet they were able to pull up my information and see how much will be taken out of my refund for fees. I know I will be checking on 2/3/15 as I would assume it might take extra time for them to take the fees out and then send it to my bank? Please let me know if that is not the case.

File my grandkids daughter does not work they all live with me and I have all the burden of proof. When I looked up account transcript yesterday had a 424 code that meant it would be looked at

Grace, the message I got was on wmr but I have a ddd. If you don’t have a ddd you are still processing. Did it tell you that you have a prior tax obligation and no ddd?? Or it could be maybe wmr just hasn’t updated correctly for you?? I have heard some people have gotten their deposits before they got a ddd on wmr. I know some people also say they had a delay for the aca but I can tell you there was no delay for me and I had the aca penalty.

yea but you should be able to get a temporary card from a branch. i had to order my secondary card yesterday and they told me that it could take 7-10 business to receive it by mail but that if i needed it sooner to go to a branch and get a temporary card

……hi everyone……:(….that’s how I feel right now….I feel slightly better that all of you are feeling exactly the same way…I just tried checking my transcript again, still no available return..just the bottom two wage, etc..with 000’s.
I feel like the IRS enjoys being annoyingly random..it makes me upset when so many people post their ddd, that were only accepted a few days ago..not like this fine group of early filers:) we deserve to be treated better!! Lol
My facts: filed with Tax Slayer, just like every year, sent in Efile on Jan 16th, fed accepted on Jan 20..and not any change since…
Filing HOH, even though I’m legally married..but I’m not worried about that.
I am going to say a very heartfelt prayer for us all..so we can relax and stop freaking out:)

Being under review, you likely would NOT see a return transcript, but would see your account transcript.

A account transcript is generated when you file a tax return and it is acknowledged. It simply means you have filed a return that year, and will have a tax account history for that year. It is the transcript that gets updated if at any time you request changes, or the IRS changes something.

A return transcript is the record of what you filed on your return, and does not update. It will remain as originally filed forever. If you can see your return transcript, it has been through processing.

I received my state yesterday and I had a dd for 2/2/15… I can’t remember when exactly last year I got either 1 of them but hearing sooo many people have gotten theirs this year already that filed after we did is really frustrating. I just hate not knowing anything. Idk if the system updates over the weekend but I’m hoping to get some results soon. If it doesn’t then like I previously stated we’ll just be sitting ducks till nxt week.

Bars and amount went missing on 1/28. Generic message that return is processed and refund date will be provided when available along with topic 152. Transcript becamed available yesterday with refund issued code. WMR update this morning to refund approved and DDD of 2/4 with full refund amount.

Well I have two theories:
1. We all will see an update tonight

2. Those of us who have had blank transcripts since Tuesday will see an update on Tuesday and those that got blank transcripts Friday will see an update next Friday.

I’m hoping for #1.

I came up with theories because this is the only thing that makes sense. Tuesday and Friday there were updates and some people got transcripts and other people got blank transcripts. Blank transcripts are recycled to the next week for reprocessing.

Then again I’m desperate to come up with something to hold onto to keep myself from going insane, lol.

Either way I’ll call the IRS Tuesday morning if there’s no updates. Might even call Monday morning if I get desperate.

@ty: i gave in and texted my brother lol (he is a CPA and yes i am hard-headed with my siblings hahaha). He told me once return transcript is available you are done processing. Account doesn’t even matter because some people will be able to order the account whether they are done processing or not. There are also people who can’t view or order both and they are done processing. That is why colleges only accept return transcripts and not account transcripts.

so going along with whathappened said we are done processing just waiting for it to be released.

I filled and was accepted on 1/26. I knew I had an offset from 2012. I filled my 2012 taxes right before I filed my 2013 by the hair on my chinny chin I was able to get a refund because it was also my 1st year filing married jointly.. I had gotten married in 2013. I knew that this year they would offset our taxes which is fine. As of yesterday my bars dissapeared and all I see is your refund is being proccessed.. On my account transcript for 2014 I see the cycle 20150404 but when I go into my 2012 transcript I see Code 790 Cycle 20150405 I see that they have cleared up the account with they amount from my refund from this year but No DD date or updates on the 2014 Transcripts or WMR… Could an update be coming soon and do you think I will receive the balance soon??? I have the date of 2-16-2015 all over but I figure thats just the 21 day limit after I originally filed! Any answers would be gratefully appreciated!

@Gazoo People get locked out of their transcripts for various reasons. Identity Theft indicators would be the number one reason. However entering the wrong info 3 times will get you locked out for 24 hours. If you don’t create an account, you have to reenter your info every time you view your transcripts. If you don’t enter it in the exact format they are looking for it will lock you out because info doesn’t match. For example you type North, and it was looking for N, you type Rd. and it was looking for Road. Also if you were able to access them once, and when you go back the info your entered the first time doesn’t work, your account may have been updated, and your info may need to be tweaked slightly. Regardless, its definitely common to get locked out, so someone claiming they are is likely telling the truth
