It’s May 5th and I filed on February 1st. …no correspondence at all.
My best friend has been dealing with this for the third year, now. However, they ask her to identify herself and her son only (different last names) but they continue to do it each year so far. I do believe that it’s going to be at least July 1st before some of us get a refund, when the new fiscal year begins.

I submitted my tax return the first week in March and it was accepted. At the end of March I received a ID Verify form in the mail. Completed the verification on March 31st and still I have heard nothing. I was able to check my transcripts but now I am unable to even sign in to see my transcript at all. Does anyone know how much longer it will take for me to hear anything? This is so frustrating.

Hello everyone, still no refund, no updates, no notices and filed 2/24/2015 and accepted 2/25/2015. I have a code 570 with $0.00 was explained to me by a neighbor, a tax accountant, it will work it self out, that a lot of filers had gotten this code- it is random selection. YAY me. & wait 8- 10 weeks from processing, so the IRS had my return for a month before processing it…????? looks like a july refund. :(
I requested a TA a week ago and nothing, so I will chalk this up to a horrible filing year and never file before march 1. I always filed the second week of march since I was 18.

UPDATE: Spoke to someone on phone last week and did the ID Verify thing with them. They told me they would put the return through and it can take up to 6 weeks to get my money. Checked status this morning and it still says Your refund is still being processed. And my transcripts still show as N/A for 2014.

Did this happen with anyone else? How long after talking with someone did the status change when you checked, if ever?

Irs has received info ssince2/16 and are still reviewing. Dates on my transcript has change 3 times. Every time I called the are still reviewing and I should not pay attention to the dates on the transcript. When will this be over.

It took 2 weeks after my refund was approved for the irs to mail our check, and it took 4 days to actually receive it.

Yes adjustment means possible decrease or increase in your return for many different reasons. It’s best to call your TA back and ask her what the adjustment is for and whether it decreased your return and if so by how much. I was able to get that info from my TA (that’s about all she honestly knew). But my adjustment was a decrease in my return by $450 due to my taxable income adjustment filed with 1040X. They say you should get a notice in the mail but 3 weeks since the adjustment was made I still haven’t received a notice.

I would check with my TA on Monday. Even though they have a time set to call you back Friday if you need to call everyday or even call the TA hotline. I’ll keep you updated on if I get any new info before Friday.

So after getting the Manager on the phone and the Director on the phone my TA called early morning yesterday 5/1 saying that she checked for an update on my acct and my 2012 refund check will be mailed out 5/8 and she believes the 2014 was on hold due to the ID Theft situation but she put in a request to release the refund. Here’s where the BS starts. Her manager tells me something completely diff. The manager states it was possibly on hold due to the 2012 not being processed. But my TA told me last week that the same IRS agent had processed both my 2012 & 2014 return within a week of each other so she doesn’t know what the hold up is for. If they can see that I don’t owe any taxes for either return and the check is scheduled to go out on 5/8 for my 2012 return why are they still holding the 2014?! Nobody seems to know it’s just a guessing game at this point.

Hello people I think I got you all beat I filed on 1/13/2015, I recieved my state within 20days direct deposit, then got a letter stating they IRS was verifying my ID, they could have checked with state they gave me my money, later I recieved a 4464c letter in MARCH, its now May 2,2015, my 60 days are up in a couple of days but was also told i would have to wait up to another 45 days. Im going to go the my local IRS next week good luck.

Ok, so my boyfriend and I did taxes together at hnr block on April 15th accepted on the 17th and got state already. TT 152 showed this week, but no update at all. This is insane! As fast as they take your money they cant give it back. I saw the cycle chart, but have no clue if thats actually reliable. I heard if they take longer than 45 days they have to give more money.

I went through the exact thing you went through. I filed on Feb 24 and I had been given the run and I finally got a tax advocate 2 weeks ago. Today my tax advocate left me a message saying the same thing that the irs will be releasing the refund because she see that the adjustment on the account had been made…does that mean that the took out money from my expected refund amount? She also told me the same that she will call me next friday because she needs to monitor it for a week. Now im just wondering if my refund is going to be less. ..I don’t owe anything so I dont know why the would adjust anything. Please let me know if you know what they mean ny adjustment? Thanks!

Hi! I’m new to this forum and three weeks ago (April 9th) I received a letter from the IRS stating my injured spouse claim has been approved and I would be receiving a check within a few weeks. I filed using TurboTax the first week of March. I received a mailed notice on the 13th of April saying they need a copy of my W2. My refund was flagged due to it being an excessive amount. It was excessive because the State decided to take 9.9% from a small (under $30K) stock option exercise — total annual income was less than 1/3 for full tax rate, but they took the max just the same. So now I still wait, May 1st. No one answers phones and no progress on their website. My explanation …. NJ is flat broke and has no money!

So bad news guys after the hold systematically fell off another hold was placed on the acct by the case worker processing my return. No additional information needed. Called my TA her manager even got the TA director on the phone they all can see the rerun is finished processing but can’t seem to look at the codes to tell me what this hold is for they are now placing on the account. contacted IRS, waited for 45 minutes and was given no answer to the hold on my refund.
File IS every year and never have I experienced this long wait, 3-4 weeks the most, in 2012 I rec’d my refund in 2 weeks last year it was divided from an approved debt to state but the partial was refunded in 3 weeks.
Go figure, this is not a good year to be needing the refund back asap.

I also inquired about the updates on the transcripts-accounts it is clear that there is no set days, it updates monday through friday at any time even on saturdays, as far as sundays- no, the system generates an treasury overall upate.

The cycle code is also meaning a slight nothing, it is a processing received code that is digtally stamped on the returns. Like a filing system, but it does have a small meaning of last date to process in a timely manner.

In the IRS handbook – IRM the attachments “schedules” other “forms” decide the processing time for each return when these attachments are noted giving 1-12 weeks added time.
As a golden rule since the first day I filed never file before Jan 30, and never send it in when there are holidays within 7 days.
Next year I will file my IS separately Dec 31 after midnight and on Feb 1 start to prepare them.
Dot my i’s cross my t’s and never erase.

I’m unable to see my transcripts due to the ID theft issue. My TA is set to call me tomorrow with an update so we will see what information I can get from her.

I did some searching on the IRS website and it says the 7 calendar day hold is placed on the account when a hardship has been filed and a manual refund has been processed with TC 840. Whatever this may mean.

I did my taxes on Turbo Tax on 2/13 and received my federal within 10 days. I still have not received my NJ taxes yet. Someone told me today that we might not receive them until October. When I spoke to someone they gave me no information except that electronic filing is taking longer this year due to fraud. I am so upset cause I really need this money to get my car fixed. Every time I try to get the transcripts online, I get an error code 110 after logging in. I haven’t been able to see transcripts at all and its really frustrating. Anyone else having this problem?

We got the notice last week telling us what the injured spouses portion was, but it just says we’ll get our refund in a few weeks. Last year we got the check a couple days after we got the letter. Would like to know how much time passed in between notice and check for those of you that have already got your IS refunds.

(P.S. Letter was dated April 22nd and we got it on the 23rd…no way the mail moves that fast.)

I finally got through last night. I did have one thing that was entered incorrectly. The rep tried to fix it for me but it wouldn’t let her. She noted I would be sending in my amended return. She did say that was what was holding me up. So now we’ll see. Ill probably get my refund at the end of June now since amended returns have to be mailed in. Ugh… I just wish I would have seen it sooner so I could have fixed it earlier.

this is my second year filing IS yea it takes a long time a very long frustrating wait it is! also from what ive been reading in groups the irs is taking their sweet time this year… last year i got a paper check in the mail two days before the start of my 11th week all you can do is keep checking your transcripts which is updated in ‘real time’ unlike WMR which is once daily i was told to check transcripts twice a day once in the morning and once in the evening. also call every day if you want wont hurt lol this is the number ive been calling 1-800-829-0582 i think the ext is 652 good luck….and like i tell myself at least we will have a little spening cash for the nice warm weather :-)

Im a first time IS filer and I’m beyond frustrated with the IS process. I filed my return Feb. 2nd and accepted on the 3rd. Found out there was a offset and immediately sent in the IS form to my local IRS office within days of finding out. I checked my transcript daily to see if the IRS received it. My local office waited 2 weeks to send it to the regional center. IRS shows they received my IS on Feb. 18. I spoke to several reps and I got different answers about my IS status. I called last week to find out that my IS was being processed but it will take 4-6 more weeks to process the check!?!? WTF! Did you do for the first 8-9 weeks? Anyone else have this experience or is this normal?

Yeah, just be patient. Even though I don’t need the 1550 I’m getting back id like to have it to blow on something stupid. Mine was rejected cause I had mine sent to my gfs card even though she followed the steps and rules that were outlined by the company and added me as an account holder Yet it was still rejected. My notice was dated 3/2. I’m just checking every Friday and if I haven’t received another notice or a date when the 10th week is up I’ll give the irs a call. It just seems random as to when people who have name mismatch or aren’t on the account get their refunds.

I called the State tax office last week and waited over 30 minutes to speak to someone. She told me they had new security measures in place and could not give a date when I would receive my refund. I filed in mid February – I asked her what are the new security procedures and her response was “I don’t know – they didn’t tell us” – I asked if they were going to add on intereset and her response was “not until after 6 months after the cut-off”. When I asked what the cut-off was she replied “April 15th”. What a racket the State has this year!

I filed my Pa taxes on 1/20/2015. I have been getting the message. That they got it on 1/20/2015 and its under a routine review. Can anyone tell me if they had this message also and if so when did they file and when did they receive their refund? Please this is nuts! Can anyone help me out. Filed 2/23 rejected. Called IRS notified fraudulent return been filed. Send in paper return with ID and SSN and ID THEFT verification form filled out. After a month nothing called for the run around called for a tax advocate was assigned one on 3/30. Faxed her all my info including a 1040x. Two weeks pass she calls me on 4/16 to tell me as of 4/15 my refund was released and to give it too 4/30 to have a DD. well still nothing going on 2 weeks. Called today the rep told me acct had been adjusted and refund released except still pending for DD. a little more digging around and he says theirs a 7 calendar day hold on the acct which is procedure after an adjustment has been made before the system issues a refund. He states from wat he see the system released my return 4/23 and the hold should fall off 4/30 and then the system will generate a return. Is this normal? After the hold falls off anybody know how long before my refund is deposited? Thanks.

Tomorrow will be 13 weeks for me , my transcript shows they received my injured spouse on 1/27/15 , and I do not see any changes at all on the codes, if they even matter? Is it common for it to take this long? Where’s my refund also shows the offset only but no other information. My husband has past due child support and we both worked so I’m even wondering if I’m getting anything back at all.

I e-filed on March 10th, I received my IRS refund within 2 weeks. NYS was accepted on March 13th, but on March 16th, I got the 90 day review. Today is April 7th and it’s still on a 90 day review. I did not receive any letters and I started an online account with NYS to see if they were going to email me with anything. To this date i’ve received nothing. This board is loaded with folks that seem to have the same problems but mostly in January and February, I am not seeing too many complaints for March. I hope that everyone gets their refunds quickly but misery loves company.

Today is April 27th and I am still on a 90 day review. I still have not received any letters in the mail and the online account that I created through NYS does not have any additional information and no new emails requesting more paperwork.

When I can get through to talk to someone I just get told people who used TurboTax are experiencing delays due to fraud. It’s been over 3 months. This is nuts. Called on 4/13/15 to inquire about refund. They said my 2013 return was flagged for identity theft so my 2014 return needed to be reviewed. They said it would take 6-8 weeks to be reviewed and another 6-8 weeks to receive the refund. They gave me a call back date of 7/17/15. While on the phone I answered some questions to verify my identity.

I called again on 4/20/15 because I tried to look at my past transcripts and it said to contact IPSU. They said they were finished reviewing my return and it was submitted for processing.

On 4/22/15 WMR went from “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided” to “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.”

4/25/15 WMR showed a DD of 4/29/15 :)

Wednesday makes week 9 and still stuck at 570 code and still no change on WMR I efiled return with IS form Feb 25 and it was accepted that day feeling really frustrated seeing people who filed the same day as me and some after and they got 846 codes with dd date called two weeks ago and was told they have 14 weeks to process it! The offset is my husbands I’m ready to be legally separated just so I don’t have to go through this again. This is my second year filing IS last year I didn’t do dd and got my refund in the mail one day before the 11th week…..IRS seems to be taking their sweet time this year!
