I am in the same boat as everyone else. I have never had this code before and I have done my own taxes since I was 17 (40 now). Very frustrating. Called IRS and no help. I only have 570 with no other codes. Just wanted to get in on the thread to see if everyone who is in the situation gets it taken care of…Good luck everyone! I hate this for all of us!

I just wanted to comment that I’ve seen a a few posts on Reddit on r/IRS and people posting that they’ve gotten their DD today with chime and they filed with TT and their SBTPG says funded. They even posted proof. So based off of that I think it’s safe to say it was all just rumors and we can all expect our refunds.

Your transcripts would update before the deposit. They usually tell you on your transcripts at least 1-2 weeks before your Deposit day with the deposit code . I think I’ve seen a few say they got a deposit beforehand but don’t know if it was because they didn’t look before money deposited, but that’s rare if it does.

Sbtpg will only show funded the day they issue your refund. They update in the morning, and allocate the funds throughout the day. Its the same every year.

I got the same thing from TT this morning.

I filed on 2-1, Pather, TT with fees taken out of refund, bottom 2 transcripts have 2023, but blank otherwise. I’m hoping my refund is really on the way, and transcripts just haven’t updated.

I’m a weekly, so not expecting an update until Thurs.

Sorry, let me add my details so it can be helpful for others. For some reason, I can’t edit my prior comment. Order Details in TT still showing as Payment Pending. That tells me when I log into SBTPG it will show Unfunded.

Forgot to add, I have had an IRS online account since having to verify several years ago. Since creating the account, haven’t had any issues with my ID. I created the ID me account this year because it wouldn’t allow me to login without it.
Also, SBTPG didn’t post my funds until the day AFTER my DDD. I wanted the advance, so I used TT again, knowing it meant using SBTPG again, Soooo, the wait is on me IG LOL.

2/17 WMR updated to DDD 2/22, which is odd for me. I have been a weekly every year, for several years, always update via WMR on Saturday, so this was different.
Still no update on SBTPG site but EMAIL from TT saying refund on its way. I usually get the email the day of or day before my actual deposit. I’ll keep you all posted

Makimac, any new news on your codes? I called the irs today and asked what the notice was. It is a letter that was sent letting me know they are waiting to verify one or more of the following:
Income
Tax credits
Or business tax.
I don’t know if they are going to request that from or if they are waiting to get verification from other resources.

I also am in the 570 971 code I called the irs they said I am under review and allow 130 days which is insane because nothing has changed from previous years. Frustrating to say the least we pay our taxes and we have to pay them immediately if we owe them but if they owe us they can take months or years. Good luck all

That’s the problem. I’m usually a weekly but no cycle code. Field a few days before 1-29 maybe a week before. As of is usually a future date and has not changed.

@refund2024 The institutions already have the $ they are just holding it for interest until the DDD. Since they have no legal obligation to release it before than. IRS sent funds out on the 16th for DDD of 22

Go to Walmart take out up to 1k at a time they’ll do it multiple times go to customer service tell them you want to cash out on your card it’ll process in the system as a purchase from Walmart vs a cash transaction

Any of you receiving your tax refund to credit karma cash or whatever because you received/applied for cash advance know how to transfer the money all in one lump sum? Like to our own Personal accounts? I applied for advance because I was “pre approved ” then later denied & still have to have my refund go to the CK account but would like to take it all at once. it says you can only take off $500 a day at the ATM, seeing if anyone has used it before that found a hack to this?

Now they say they received the funds today and that it takes a few days to process and take fees from the deposit. And I explained to this supervisor the fees were already taken out and sent to them and now they are just holding. They just keep saying the system shows it will automatically be released the 22nd and there’s no way for them to release the funds early. Guess now I’ll just speak to H&R block for my filing fees to get refunded.

Call the IRS. JUST BE GLAD you even have a DDD. Is there anything in writing saying your DD should be the same year after year ? Lots of factors. Like Bank? HOLIDAY ? Or Maybe they just felt like doing it this way.

As of today no update, just waiting. I am a weekly. I’ve never had issues with my tax refunds before.

If there is no update on Friday, I’m going to call Taxpayer advocate. :(

After getting the run around from the agent for 20 mins. I finally got the supervisor on the phone. He tried to give me the runaround as well. I explained to him that I already know they have my funds and they are just holding them until the 22nd. He explained that there has been a delay for h&r block customers and that it shows in their system the funds will be added to accounts the morning of 22nd. I asked for another # for emerald card. He gave me this which I’m about to try.

I did my taxes 1/29 and iRS sent me letter 2/9 received on 2/13 requesting my w2 to verify my wages and faxed the same day 2/14 update to we have received the request documents and you are now processing and I got my bars back for received and no waiting for approved but that has been since 2/14 no updates on transcript top two N/A and the bottom two just have date 2023 blank no info.

I did a couple of years ago and I work for the state. It was because the state issued a corrected w-2 after I already filed my taxes.. I waited around until May when I finally contacted a tax advocate who helped me get the refund within a week. This year I received the 570 code, filed 1/29. So either I filed to early before the state reported my wages or it’s my husbands new job causing the mess.

Katie you must be weekly. Yep, IRS systems are old AF and they either update daily or weekly for some. If it’s weekly then yeah makes sense your letter would come during a week that update is few days away.

I did one time 2 years ago and it took them a few months to process everything. That was during the year of covid so everything was massively backed up. Hopefully it won’t take that long for you but that CP-05 letter usually means you are in for a long ride til you see your taxes.
