The IRS doesn’t send the money to SBBT on the 30th. MOST OF THE TIME the IRS sends the money to SBBT 2 days before your DDD, the DDD is the date that the IRS projects YOU to have the money in your account. Remember, the IRS knew that we were getting paid the 30th BEFORE we did, and have clearly already sent funds. Its CLEAR they have already sent funds to their designated locations as some people with no fees taken have already received or have a return pending. In some cases it can take longer than usual and be a day late, on the weekends it would be a couple of days late, but 1 business day. If it goes like it did in past years for me (I am assuming it will given the recent events) the IRS released the funds today, SBBT processed and released them already, your bank will receive them tomorrow sometime, process them, and then should be released to you the following day business day (Friday) late at night.. SBBT should show they received the funds tomorrow and have already released them to be transferred to your account. That is ALWAYS how it has happened for me in the past and that is EXACTLY how events seem to be progressing this year.

Yes. My offset was paid by the IRS last night and when WMR updated they gave me a DDD of Jan 30th.

@Rick: That means that a preliminary check yielded no errors. Meaning that your name, SSN and DOB matched up with what the IRS had on file for you. It will be moved to approved once it’s done processing, if not errors are found.

Reading the original post of @Lilly2015 and the reply of @JenJen gives me an ounce of hope. I never realized that I the confirmation number had anything relative to cycle dates. I filed with H&R Block and my confirmation number has 20150215, which according to @Lilly2015 would be dead-cycle and retried during 201504 with the end date being tomorrow (01/29/2015). Is that correct? Is there a possibility that my return will be approved tomorrow with a DDD?

How exciting if that is the case. Hopefully this all is accurate!!

I wish I had gotten a message saying transcript isn’t available. I got the following message instead, which freaked me out:
We cannot process your transcript request. Please contact the Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU) at 800-908-4490.

I was an early filer. I filed on the 9th and was accepted on the 12th. I was part of the test group. I was part of the test group last year also and was one of the first batch to get refunds. When I check “where’s my refund” it is still at the one bar with the 152 code.

I called the IRS Identity number listed in the alert message when I couldn’t open my transcripts. After waiting on hold for over an hour I spoke to a rep who while courteous, seemed impatient and confused as to why I was bothering her. I told her about the message I received saying to call the Identity Protection Unit so that is why I was calling, fearing I was flagged or a victim of identity theft. She asked if it has been three weeks since my acceptance date. I replied, “No.” She said then that message meant that since your refund hasn’t been processed yet of course the transcript isn’t available.” I asked her if she could look up my information to be certain about that and she said they won’t look anyone up unless it’s been three weeks.

Why in the heck didn’t I simply get a message saying my transcript isn’t available. Why panic taxpayers with a message that insinuates some sort of identity fraud? It also causes their phone lines to be tied up with concerned individuals like myself!

I hope she knew what she was talking about and that something really isn’t wrong but she was being too flippant to care!

I think it will be Monday before we receive our funds. That is what SBBT is telling me. They said “It takes at least 1-2 business days from the time we disburse your funds to you for the money to be available in your bank account. The money has to travel via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system, which does not operate on weekends or holidays.” I kinda hoping that is just the generic response and it comes on Friday or Saturday.

Currently have a tax topic 152 at the bottom of WMR. What does this mean exactly? Are they finished with my taxes? I noticed also that a lot of people that filed up until the 20th have received their refund or have a pending deposit. People from the 21-23rd have a refund date of the 30th. on my email from FreeTaxUSA I got a transaction number 44079220150130300988 which I think my batch # could be 201501 death cycle im not able to see any 2014 transcripts yet and WMR is only one bar. last year I got my refund on a Wednesday I hope this year comes next Wednesday too.
this year filed on the 8th received on the 12th.

Last year I just called the main 8008291040 and follow prompts for account info. That’s also how last year I knew mine had also been processed because eventually I called them and it’s said tax debt paid so I knew they had taken it out of the refund. Also just keep pushing to talk to someone and when they ask why tell them you need to see how much if any you owe them. Believe me when you tell them that they will take the call and give you info. It’s better than not knowing and at least give you some peace of mind :)
As for me I’m just unlucky I guess. I owe nothing yet accepted on 20th and no transcripts. Straight bull crap

This will be the last time I file early. The IRS encouraged early and for no purpose as I see early filers arent getting refunds yet, a majority are 1/20-1/22 filers. I efiled 1/15 and was accepted by IRS 1/16 – still 1 bar in WMR tax topic 152 and N/A on transcripts. LAst year 14 days from file to deposit. Not the case this year… maybe something next week. Everyone is saying that it is 21 days from the 20th but the WMR says you should receive refund within 21 days of IRS RECEIVING return – which to me is 21 days from the 16th. I’ll give it a week before I panic and start calling. Its just frustrating.

My whole thing is when I was filing my taxes, on TT it specifically said “choosing to have your fees taken through SBBT will neither speed up or slow down your refund” so I will be very HEATED if it DOES slow it down!! For the extra money we paid it better be in OUR account by our DDD!!

@worried – I am in the exact same boat, incredibly frustrating. All the comfort I can offer is that it appears that everyone who had the healthcare penalty has the same codes and no DDD. What I have gathered from reading forums is this code will change to 846 when that money is applied to our penalties. It seems as though people with other non-healthcare offsets and the same cycle code are being told their offsets have been paid as of 1/30. What my HOPE is, is that this applies to us as well. So when they next update their system it will show as that debt has been paid and our returns will be released. Then that leads to the question of when is it that they update that system? All of this info is gathered from spending HOURS reading internet forums so as far as the validity….. don’t hold me to it. I really think it will be released quickly though, hopefully by 1/30

I filed and was accepted on 1/22. I had a tax health care credit of $52. Im showing a DDD of 1/30. I dont know if its a healthcare issue or maybe it was because it didnt affect my DDD. Hope this helps

I just talked to my local bank (Nevada State Bank) and the teller informed me that he couldn’t see anything pending but that the banks general policy is to not hold onto any deposits etc. He said their system updates through the day. He said he thought that if it came in after 4:30 p.m., then it might not go through till next morning. He was new so I think the last part was regarding ATM deposits lol. He asked a supervisor about the banks policy though lol. I am just going to keep checking my bank account for incoming money. I think it is interesting though that the wording on the ddd says “by” Jan 30th.

I am more than annoyed. The state of Ohio is playing with our refunds so getting a state refund any time soon is out of the question. I thought I would be OK with my federal returns, but I was accepted on 1/16 and still nothing. No transcripts. No DDD. I was one of the first to comment this morning. I am unlocked to check my transcript(I had to put my filing status last year(Single, this year I am Head of Household w/ one qualifying dependent), no transcript, but last years ended in 02 and I had my money on 02/07 of last year. I am getting frustrated because why file on the first day if you can wait 4 days and get it faster. I did mine at 8am in the morning and it was received shortly after, and hasn’t changed since. SUCH BS. I am so annoyed like everyone else. I don’t have a Facebook so this is my only way to respond to everyone. NC is still processing as well. I will post back tomorrow if anything should change. *sigh* :(

The only positive note, is that WMR tracker has never worked for me, and I would receive my refund out of the blue. This is the first year I looked at transcripts as well because of all the hoopla but geez.

We filed 1/18. Accepted 1/20. Approved for a DDD of 1/30. We used Taxact with them taking fees out via Republic Bank and depositing into our Credit Union account. Anyone showing that Republic bank even received your refund yet? I am hoping that at the very least Republic gets it tomorrow and we will have it by our DDD. It’s my money and I want it now!

A Transaction Code 570 can mean different things in different cases so a taxpayer should not try to draw a conclusion based on the presence of a TC 570. The Transaction Code 570 will stop a refund from being issued until the impact of the action being taken on the account and the refund is determined and processed. Transaction Codes are used internally by the IRS to identify a transaction, adjust and research tax accounts and to maintain a history of actions posted to a taxpayer’s account.

Oh yeah – most of your major banks goes through the federal reserve for ACH’s but companies like Greendot or NetSpend go though another clearing house company called The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC…so if you see your deposit earlier, it because it didn’t go through the Federal Reserve but instead went through this company who doesn’t tend to hold the money.

Well this is a bunch of bull hockey!! I also filed our state on 1/20 on ohio’s website just like the past five years. Did the registration and used my I.D. issue date for verification. It was accepted the same day. Next day I check the status and like everyone else it’s under manual review. Just checked my mail and got the quiz letter in the mail. Finished the quiz and it tells me thanks it may take up to 3 weeks to review my quiz….Dear state of ohio, you know that extra $10, on top of what you already take every paycheck, that I let you borrow all year long? It will no longer be there next year if you can not return it in a timely manner. Grr

I have netspend and always get my money a day or 2 early. People with NO fees had theirs yesterday so that means IRS sent funds to SBBT yesterday and they should release today/tomorrow.

It is not the bank that holds your funds either – it is actually the federal reserve (the fiscal agent of the US Treasury) who is making all the interest off of the money and holding it. The IRS doesn’t send the money directly to the banks. All wired funds in the U.S has to go through the federal reserve Automated Clearing House (ACH) and they are the ones to verify the deposit and distribute to the correct banks. By federal law, once a bank receives the wired funds, they must make it become available by the following business day because only the FEDERAL RESERVE can make money off you for doing absolutely nothing …. HAHA – what the tellers are seeing is notification from the Federal Reserve stating when the money will wire.

I’m beginning to get very frustrated. I filed my taxes with H&R Block e-file on the night of 01/19/2015. My taxes were accepted the morning on 01/21/2015. It has been 7 days since my return was accepted and I am still at square one. I can login on the IRS website to attempt to download my transcripts, but they’re all N/A with the exception of 1 (Wage Transcript) that is blank aside from my name, SSN, etc.

So, accepted on 01/21. No Transcripts available. No DDD. No penalties. Nothing.

Someone posted something regarding the ability to make an educated guess when you’re going to get a DDD with batch codes. The last two years of my batch codes end with an ’03’ which would indicate a Tuesday. My batch code from three years ago ends with an ’05’ which would indicated a Thursday. Not sure what to think. I’m guessing there is really no rhyme or reason as to who get their refund when (or when they get processed). Would sure like to see a DDD.

Anyone else in the same boat? What are you thoughts?
