Weekly vs daily processing dates

I am new to this site. Ialso filed and accepted on tt on 1/20. 1 bar on wmr and 2014 transcripts at n/a except for wage which states no returned filed.

Below might be why we are all still waiting when others have received their Ddd before us even though we filed before them.

In the irs link, it explains the difference between daily and weekly processing. Some returns are proceeded as daily and the others as weekly ( not sure how they determine this).

Here is the info:

In January 2012, IMF began processing TEPs daily for daily transactions directed to daily taxpayer accounts. All BMF, EPMF, and IMF weekly accounts or transactions will be processed at ECC-MTB on Thursdays. The acceleration of the cycle results in the inability for a campus to extend a production cycle.

The cycle number used as the GMF Campus Production Cycle for one week will be the same cycle number used as the ECC-MTB Posting Cycles when posting occurs. The cycle number, then, describes the same information being processed.

Example:

The GMF Campus Production Cycle 201504 runs from Thursday, January 22, 2015, through Wednesday, January 28, 2015. The ECC-MTB Posting Cycle 201504 runs from Friday, January 23, 2015, through Thursday, January 29, 2015. BMF, EPMF and IMF weekly transactions and weekly accounts will be processed on the last day (Thursday) of the Posting Cycle.

For IMF, there are three dead cycles each year. For 2015, they are ECC-MTB Posting Cycles 201501, 201502, and 201503. IMF transactions that are sent from the campus locations during GMF Campus Production Cycles 201501, 201502, 201503, and 201504 will attempt to post to the IMF during ECC-MTB Posting Cycle 201504.

This is a bit confusing…. But I interpret that we are probably all on a weekly cycle instead of daily. Dice the did not process files during the “dead” cycles (jan 1-jan 21 returns filed and accepted) , the will all be processed by tomorrow, jan 29th.

I hope this is true and we will be able to see our transcripts tomorrow night/ Friday morning with a Ddd to follow

When you submit your taxes it should give you a submission id #…within that number there is an cycle code 201501 201502 201503 and I think 201504…201504 ended yesterday or today

I called and talked to someone this morning. 201502 is a dead cycle. It should be processed by Wednesday if not call the tax advocate hotline.

Same here. No information. Confirmation number contains 201502. No transcripts available, no statust change on WMR, and IRS says they won’t even look into anything until 2/12.

I filed on 1/15/2015. Got an accepted date on 1/21/2015. Since then, nothing. Have a cycle code 201502. This is starting to get annoying. I filed early so I wouldn’t have to deal with the IRS’s drama, but it seems worse. People who filed AFTER me are being approved, and mine hasn’t even started processing. My transcript isn’t available. Nothing. Just “Accepted”. The IRS sure doesn’t wait when you owe them money, but when they owe you…

Unfortunetly I don’t think this is right. I have a confirmation number of 201502 that is still processing with no DDD yet but my daughter has a confirmation number of 201502 and she has a DDD for 1/30. I submitted both her return and mine on 1/21. We both were accepted immediately. Last year the exact same thing happened. I submitted us both at the same time and she was approved about two weeks prior to me. For some reason I end up on the weekly cycle instead of the daily.

Reading the original post of @Lilly2015 and the reply of @JenJen gives me an ounce of hope. I never realized that I the confirmation number had anything relative to cycle dates. I filed with H&R Block and my confirmation number has 20150215, which according to @Lilly2015 would be dead-cycle and retried during 201504 with the end date being tomorrow (01/29/2015). Is that correct? Is there a possibility that my return will be approved tomorrow with a DDD?

How exciting if that is the case. Hopefully this all is accurate!!

on my email from FreeTaxUSA I got a transaction number 44079220150130300988 which I think my batch # could be 201501 death cycle im not able to see any 2014 transcripts yet and WMR is only one bar. last year I got my refund on a Wednesday I hope this year comes next Wednesday too.
this year filed on the 8th received on the 12th.

Makes sense. I must be in the “dead code” I’m not on a weekly schedule and my return was accepted the 20th this year with one bar on wmr and no transcripts

That makes sense. I filled on January 26th and was accepted an hour or so later. The latest filing date that I have seen that has gotten a DDD was the 24th, so fingers crossed that we are in the batch that processes tonight/tomorrow morning!
