I went to JH to apply for the early advance i really needed to 1000 to get caught up on bills, the prices they charge are outrageous, i signed paper works i was required to in order to apply for the advance its like they tricked me i did not get the while 1000 and a qualify for alot less than i would have via turbotax TT is cheaper too, since JH does nt have my w2 they cant file for me im supposed to go bak when i get my w2s so they cant file for me without them right? the fee they charge for typing in info is a scam it says online 59$ in store or onlne not 600 bucks.. i want to back out and not use JH is there a way i can repay the loan to republic bank ( JH) and file using turbo tax instead when i get my w2.

I’m a single mom. Three dependents. All in school. I claim HOH. The last two years I haven’t gotten federal taxes taken out of my pay. My refunds used to be $10,000+. Last year my refund was $7,000 but I thought it was due to claiming unemployment because of Covid and being furloughed. I’ve worked this entire year all my regular 40+ hrs a week and my refund is estimated at $7,000 again. I haven’t changed my W2 in forever. My corporate office says it’s because tax laws changed. Can anyone confirm this?? I do plan to talk to a tax professional

If they want you to go back to finish up, it hasn’t been filed yet I’m guessing. Just try TurboTax online. It’s cheaper to do it on your own and they’ve given me a refund advance for a few years.

Like what i mean is they cant file my taxes without my w2 we did it off pay stubs today, so when i get my w2 back im supposed to go back and finish up etc but i didnt get approved for the advance with was the reason for using JH in the first place, so can i just file with other service that offers advances once i get my w2

I just wanted to be the first one to post something nonsensical like just filing and then immediately asking when will I get my refund.

I’ve been on Reddit updating there every day and I don’t know why but my last name C and in the Palm Springs area or Coachella valley. Still checking the damn mail every day and I can see that it’s still not in the mail for tomorrow 11/10 with informed delivery. I’m beyond pissed off and frustrated at this point. They are quick to tax the hell out of us but slow with a little bit of help

Does anyone happen to know if Jackson Hewitt does a credit check for the holiday refund advance in december. I know that in january it is a different case but I cant seem to get a straight answer from JH they just continue to tell me what the ads for it says with etc but wont tell me what the etc involves.

She also said i could file an amended return through the irs website, but the website says their e-file is no longer available as of Nov 17th. This has gone past becoming a pathetic joke at this point. Especially if it’s true the irs decided that everbody who is still waiting for their refund is now s.o.l. and has to do an amended return after being told for nearly two years that we had to be patient for them to fix it for us and NOT to file an amended return during that time.

I called the irs today for an update on my refund after being told 3 separate times earlier this summer I’d have a response within 30 days, none of which ever came. The lady told me that as of Nov 17th, they’re no longer manually adjusting any returns and that I’d have to file an amended return, even though my Feb 2021 filing was marked for review (she confirmed several times i qualified for an adjustment and that it should have already been done). Has anybody else been told this?

I have been waiting to see some action on either my account transcript or my amended return. Finally today, 11/28/2022, my transcript shows a code 290 “reduced or removed prior tax assessed” for a future date of 12/12/2022, as well as a code 846 “refund issued” dated for this coming Friday, 12/2/2022, which is for the expected amount plus interest. I’m looking forward to finally seeing that direct deposit this week!

The couple times I have actually been able to speak with someone at the IRS they say my return is waiting to be processed, and they give me a date 60 days out by which I should have received my money. That date comes and goes and the next time I get someone they give me a new date 60 days out. I feel like this will go on indefinitely until I just give up.

I didn’t receive anything I checked my transcript it had code 152 for the longest. I checked Sept 2022 it have both codes 152 and 976 I called they told me give them 30vdays to receive a letter or refund. I called and got through to them today they told me they amended the return and they ask for another 30 days. The tax advocate said they can’t help, guess I just have to wait and hope I get it.

Heard nothing until maybe 2 months ago when WMR went to processing and they sent me a form to fill out, saying I didn’t include it in my return, but I did. Whatever, I mailed it back the next day. Nothing since. I’m going to make sure I get the interest that has accrued. You should too.

Following that I received a letter 7/1 to verify my identity which I did the same day. IRS website says at least 9 weeks to process my return from that point and as of today, 9/12/22, I have not received any updates nor has my transcript updated. We are well past the 9 week waiting period. I have tried to call the IRS as well as tax advocated but can never get through. Does anyone have any advice or experiencing a similar situation?

She informed me that the IRS now has a special team of processors that concentrate on these Unemployment refunds. She flagged my return and sent it to this team. They have 30 days to process the refund, and then a further 30 days to send me the money. So 60 days from now, hopefully, I will receive my refund.

As-of date for my 2021 transcript still shows Jan 10 2022 and last status code was from 2021. I have a Wage & Income Transcript with all of the information I filed with. WMR shows “still being processed” with no bars or tax topic. Haven’t received any letters. I have done the new ID verify. This morning I noticed a 2021 return transcript finally showed up (was previously N/A) and it looks a letter that states:
“On June 21, 2022, we received a request for verification of non-filing of a tax return.

As of the date of this letter, we have no record of a processed tax return for the tax period listed above.

Checked wmr on 5/13 and I have a 290 with $0 tax liability also have 846 refund issued DD for 5/18. Im so confused has anyone else had this happen and did you get your refund?

Have got one letter, the IRS says they have 120 days to process the freeze on the account. They claim that the freeze is because of my employer not filing my wages, yet; I’m the account manager who files all the companies wages. So I know that is not true. I know that they’re supposed to tell you why you have a freeze; but they won’t tell me. Any idea what I should do?

No codes, no special credits, no advance rebates, no stimulus, just a boring normal W-2 return with some itemized deductions the same as i file EVERY year.

In March with no movement, i finally got a live person who said my account was beign held for ID verificiation and that i’d receive further instructions in 2-3 weeks. NOTHING i could do right then.

So over the past 2 months, i have received no correspondance and have tried once a day for the past couple months to get a live person. (or more). FINALLY today i received a live person who said i’d need copies of my 2021 and 2020 returns, W-2s etc. I said i have all that but not my 2020 W-2 handy. She said when i am ready, go on http://www.idverify.irs.gov.

out of curiousity, i went on the website and found ALL i had to do was put my social, refund amount, confirm my AGI and last 4 digits ofmy bank account for my refund and it was sent for processing

                                                                                        WHAT THE …….

Not only did i not receive any correspondence, NOT only is my account run of the mill…..NOT only has it taken months to reach a live person, but the verification that they said i had to do was as generic and simple as it comes. NOTHING actually verifying my true idenity as they claim.

MORAL to the story, if you’re waiting for ID verification and no notification, go to http://www.idverify.irs.gov and see if you can also get by with just the simple info rather than wait.!

Now i have to wait f’in 9 weeks!!!!!! this will be 4 months from my filing date. If i were 4 months late to the IRS, i’d be penalized, just ridiculous!!!!

If you have used Cash App to deposit money, you can easily check if it’s pending before paying the bill. The “Cash App direct deposit pending” means that the money hasn’t yet been transferred to the recipient’s bank account. However, sometimes, Cash App will experience a glitch, making your deposit appear pending. It could be because your card is invalid or there aren’t enough funds in your account. If this happens to you, there are some things you can do to fix the issue.

First, you can enable the direct deposit option on your Cash App account. This can be done by entering your bank’s name and routing number. You can find these details on your mobile application. Once you know the details, you can share them with the payment check issuer. To set up direct deposit, you can pay bills with Cash App without hassle. To do so, open the Cash App mobile application, tap on “Cash,” and then scroll down to the bottom of the screen.

The timing of your Cash App direct deposit will depend on your bank and how much money you deposited. It typically hits your account the next day, although it might take two or three payroll cycles. Using Cash App to deposit money is faster than traditional bank transfers. However, you should call the +1 (909)529-9787. This will help you resolve the issue. However, if you still can’t find a resolution, you should contact your bank or Cash App service team for assistance.

She tried to manually adjust it, couldn’t, then forwarded my case to their supervisor for review and processing. She told me it would be 30 days, and if nothing changes in 30 days call back.

The date changed to 06/06/2022 and some additional lines were added at the top (Account Balance, Accrued Interest, Accrued Penalty, etc.) but all amounts were $ 0.00.

I received less than half of the expected amount of money in my account. Still yet have not received the remainder money. Nobody answers the phone. I waited one hour and 50 min the other day with no answer. Turbo tax indicates accepted. And I paid extra for audits. I want answers!!

The receptionist said she would put a note for the manager because it had been so long. She wasn’t actually able to do anything herself. I’m not sure if this is what did the trick, but I am relieved.

December I contacted my Congressman 2 advocate 4 me as hardship case. All I got from them was IRS memo explaining what I already knew about the UEC exemption. BUT THANKS TO SKIP WHO POSTED HERE 4-15-22 I replied: “refer to guidance in Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) 21.6.6.2.54, 8 step-by-step guide for them to input the adjustment.” Voila! in a week REFUND!

The IRS received it on 6/27. I know that 8 weeks will be 8/22-ish. When has everyone else been getting their return?

My as of date has changed every week since my transcripts have been available but they didn’t change last week or this week so I’m hoping that’s a sign it might finally be processing this week. Fingers crossed .
