I filed on 2/19 and got accepted the same day. I am able to see all 3 of my tax transcripts, i have codes: 150, 806, 766, 768 but no 846 code yet i do have a cycle date of 20150805. What does this mean? Is it bad or that it is still processing?

I filed on 1/20 accepted the same day. Called on day 21 and was told I was unpostable due to my name change since I had gotten married. Very nice rep put note in system that he verified my information. Called on 2/19 they told me the issue was fixed on 2/18, on 2/20 I could view my transcript but just one of them and it had zeros with 3/9 date. On 2/27 transcripts all updated with return information with a date of 3/16. However there is a TC 570 it AlsoRight I know I have no idea she is changing things all around and this competition Saturday. Doors don’t open til 12 conpetition don’t start til 1. has 3/16 date. Cycle date is 20150805. I called yesterday to check to see if anything else was needed from me and the lady said I should get a letter or my refund by April 2,2015. Does this mean the hold will fall off? And will it take until April 2. Should I see an update on transcripts this week?

I did my taxes thru TT on Feb 4th, and accepted Feb 6th. Last time I called after 21 days, I was told my return was under review since Feb 13th and to allow btw 6-8 weeks to finish review. I’ve called 4 times, and got the same answer. Last time I called, the lady was real nice and told me that “it’s a good thing that I haven’t received any letters, and that my return amount still shows on WMR site. I wonder if anybody that have been in the same situation can tell me if I do have to wait to the full 8 weeks. It’s my first time having my tax return under review. Contacted IRS was told a portion of my return was being released NOT due to an offset. The premium tax credit was being reviewed and was told I should get a letter with instruction. No letter as of today. I did receive a portion of my refund today. I want to know why the tax credit is being reviewed and what other information is needed. My tax preparer told me it is a issue she is seeing and its due to the IRS sending the incorrect form but for those who filed before 2/19 they are not required to resubmit and the IRS will be issuing the remainder at some point. Did anyone else have this problem. Btw. WMR is not updated any further reference code but 1242 as previously stated.

Great news! I received my refund this morning (US Bank)!

WMR does say “Take Action!”, Topic 151 (Rights for Appeals) and to contact IRS with reference code 1242 (made an adjustment or took action on my account).

But my transcripts had the 846 refund code (with 3/16/2015 date and a reduced amount) that came up the day I made my last post here. A rep at the IRS (800-829-1040, option 1-2-2-4-1) also had confirmed to me yesterday that the IRS would make a deposit of $xxxx.xx into my account and also send a letter with the explanation of the reduced amount (hence the topic 151 and reference code 1242).

If you notice on my previous post, they had reduced it by an amount because of an error on the Healthcare form that they were able to correct internally themselves (just took forever in doing so!). But I received what I usually receive in previous years, so I’m fine!

So for you early filers or 1/20 filers, hang in there! Check your transcripts if they are available. Thank you for your well wishes, and good luck! If anyone has questions about my particular situation, I’ll try to answer as best I can!

@Toni – you should be fine. your situation is slightly different than ours, in that your DD was rejected simply due to the fact that you omitted sole of the routing/account numbers. i have noticed that kind of bank mismatch doesn’t warrant further “research” into your return. your transcripts will most likely update in a couple of days with a paper check mail date and the check will be sent to the address listed on your current return.

There still isn’t no movement on WMR as well there is no change on the transcript. I filed on 2-5 accepted on 2-6 ddd for 2-13 bank rejected on 2-13. The codes I have on my transcript are 846,841,971 there are no more codes. I received the CP53A notice in the mail on 2-26 but the notice is dated 3-9 on top of the notice. I pray it will not be the whole 8 to 10 weeks. I talked to the lady at the IRS today she said that they are still researching my account, and she said if I don’t receive my check by 5-12 to contact the IRS then. But, if there is any change I will let everyone know.

Hope this may help some. Same situation as most. Walmart card rejected my refund. I called the IRS, was told if I have a “Hardship” like electricity about to be cut off, rent/mortgage due or late, etc… They will put in a request to have the funds released and mailed immediately or expedite it ASAP. The rep told me to wait 5-7 days and I would receive a call from “tax payer advocate” or I can call them after 7 days. I’m sure I will have to verify my hardship, via faxing them pink slip on lights… Here’s the number to the tax payer advocate

There still is no change on WMR or on the transcript. As for as when I will reaceive a check in the mail according to the IRS it will take 8 to 10 weeks before I will receive my check. But, the IRS said if I don’t receive my check by May 12 to contact the IRS then. So, this is where I am at just waiting. But, if anything changes I will let you know.

I just wish I knew how long it was going to actually take. I hope it doesn’t take the full 8-10 weeks. some ppl who were in our EXACT situation last tax season said their transcripts updated with a paper check date 2-3 weeks after they received CP53A notice. others stated it took the full 2 months and it was April before they received their paper check. let’s just hope for the best, and continue to update each other. if the IRS contacts any of us requesting more info: or transcripts update with more codes – update on here so we will know what to expect.

I filed my taxes on 2-8-15 and a few days ago my bars were gone..topic 152 disappeared as well. Just the message “it’s been processed” is what shows, along with returning amount. No real update on my account except that our IS form was received 2/13. Beyond that nothing on my account. I did speak to a woman at the IRS that told me that if a decision is made that ends in getting some of the offset back the IRS only has a certain amount of time to pay up or they have to pay you interest. We filed our form by mail after e-filing the 1040. For us the amount of time before interest will be due is 56 days if I remember correctly, and I assume they mean only business days and not weekends or holidays ( they have 8 weeks from when the form is received).

It says it can take 11 to 14 weeks, but that varies from person to person. Sometimes it takes less time, and other times, it can take months. Since you already efiled, you’ll have to wait until a letter comes in the mail to tell you about the offset and that they are taking your money. Then you’ll have to file the IS form, and wait 11 weeks from then MINIMUM. I’ve looked through several other forums and some people says it takes months, sometimes close to a year after that, since the IRS can take as long as they please at that point.

You can check your transcripts online from the IRS website. Opt to view them online, as then you can check for updates (I’ve seen people comment that IS updates every Friday morning on transcripts.) You’ll want to check the Account Transcript when it prompts you to choose a reason after you log in (I’d suggest creating an online log in – you can choose guest but then you have to answer questions and fill out information each time.)

You should see a 570 near the bottom of your transcript, that means the IRS is currently or should be reviewing for offsets. 971 means notice was issued, and something may or may not come in the mail (you’ll probably get something.) I believe it’s 571 that means the hold is lifted, and once you get an 846 code – it means they are sending you a refund.

I’ve been looking up things and other forums online a lot, and it seems most people still can’t get an answer after 11weeks – they are told to try again in 30 days – I really hope that isn’t the case. How hard can it be to check for offsets, take whatever money necessary and refund the rest?!

I’m stuck on my husband’s federal student loans as an offset, but we set up a payment plan last year and have been paying on time each month. Most of our refund is from having three dependents and my income, as I claim less for taxes on my pay checks.

Your very lucky to have it mailed out so fast! Mine was rejected because my last name was different. I my maiden name was on my card and my tax return had my married name. I still haven’t gotten a mail by date or anything else. It’s frustrating. Did you receive a notice in the mail? I believe it’s business days. So, I called the IRS like 1000000000 times this week and I kept getting the run around with the stupid robot…and it kept saying they couldn’t handle calls for my tax issue, no matter what I pushed. Ridiculous, really.

Well, I finally called the tax advocate who got me a direct line to an IRS lady, that was very rude, saying they wouldn’t have any information until it hit 11 weeks.

I filed my taxes 1/29… it’s been up for processing since 2/2. I am in Cycle 20150505.

Well, she informed me that right now it says it will be processed on 4/20! What the heckkkkkkk! I have had a code 570 for years now….By the time I get taxes I’ll hit the lotto!

Beyond frustrated and don’t know what to do. I filed 1/20 and have no movement. Have no tax topic, no bars! Can order acct transcript through mail but no return transcript. When I try online it says to call identity #. Call them they tell me they don’t know why it tells me to call them. The only thing that has changed with my refund is the amount I filed increased by $5 but that happened about 4 weeks ago. I have a tax advocate for about 2 weeks now, but she tells me she can’t give me any updated information until March 11th. No one can give me a reason as to why my refund hasn’t been approved. Bart have you seen this before. I don’t understand why there hasn’t been any movement and why no one can tell me anything? I filed electronically, my bank rejected it, The address on my forms did not reflect my current address. Anyway the mail by date was 02/25, I called IRS the monday prior to the 25th and i was told the updated to my current address. I called again and it was confirmed to have been mailed to my current address. I live in Maryland. Where would my refund be coming from? I see that everyone says the average receipt of check is 2-4 days. Do you all mean business days or does that include saturday because either way my date has surpassed the average approximation. I am extremely worried and anxious and stress. A response would be helpful. thank you.

I cant stand that long call wait before a representative is reached it took me 3 hours one time and i was told I would have to wait thirty days before i can do anything but i honestly think i will lose my mind if i have to wait by then. Hello again. I was able to order both my return and account transcript this morning. Is that a good thing. As of yesterday I couldn’t order either one, they were not available for 2014. I had to do it over the phone because can’t remember my username and the email they have on file is not the same one I have. I filed 2/16, accepted 2/16. I have been waiting since 01/30 which is when I had a dd. They told me I will get a letter. Have not gotten it. Called today they said they mailed a letter on 2/19. I have not gotten. @Everyone With A Spouse That Has Student Loan Debt

I’ve noticed this is plaguing many of your returns. You should all consider having your spouse consolidate their student loans. That would take them out of default and no longer be an offset. Afterwards you can either get a forbearance or deferment to postpone payments, or even just send them what you can….if you send them even $10 a month….they can’t do anything. It shows you are making some sort of effort. Just a thought.
