Hallelujah and thank the Lord, I checked this morning and I have an 846 with a refund date of April 26th! This was like childbirth waiting on my refund- it was very painful! Hang in there folks IT”S COMING!

Notice said pending review. It’s starting to get ridiculous and we are starting to get desperate. Thank you for the suggestion to contact our local congressman. I have submitted the issue to him. Hoping for the best!Same filed on 15th almost (actually a cpl minutes after midnight but tt still said 15th) accepted a few hours later (never had that happen but I assumed I picked the busiest day/time) and as of now account and wage trasnxipt up but says no return filed still. I have no cycle code either. Hoping to see something this week will update when I see movement

So hubby and I filed jointly on 2/17, didnt get our verification letter till 3/28 and verified online same day. Exactly 2 weeks after verification we went back into processing. This past week all 4 transcripts updated but we got a code of 570 and nothing else. Today I logged into both of our IRS accounts and noticed our “tax return not processed” message disappeared. Hopefully good news coming this Friday. 🤞
Nope. No update. No deposit. No nothing.
F/A: 02/04/2024. No notification for any reason whatsoever. No letters. Online transcript still shows “NA” in top two boxes. Bottom 2 boxes show nothing.
Filed 2/16/24 Still waiting in dire financial need with special needs kids. No notice or transcript updates in almost 2 months. my last 2 codes were 570 then 768. No notices generated. only one job. dependent care FSA was showing on 1040 as income. wasnt sure if that was the issue since phone reps wont tell me. dropped off verification on my own at a local irs center just in case and still told to just wait with no estimate on how long. Any help?
Go check your transcripts!!! I finally updated over night to a 846 code!!! Been stuck on 570 since the beginning of March with a date of 3/25!
Hope everyone still waiting gets good news sooner than later. I was one of many who had a 1099R this year and am pretty sure that’s what held up my refund.

846 Refund issued 04-24-2024Last update! Deposit from treasury is pending for the 24th into my account! It’s finally over! Thanks to the Maine Senators office for submitting my retirement withdrawal documents to them and pushing this through. Lesson learned: never report retirement withdrawals lol
I’m a french citizen who did an internship in a US University from August 2023 to February 2024. As a french citizen working in public research, I got a total tax exemption because of a tax treaty between the US and France.
When I arrived in the US, I didn’t got my SSN, so, for my first three paychecks, I got taxed at 30% of my total income. After I received my SSN, the tax treaty applied and I got a total tax exemption. Nevertheless, my tax treaty should be retroactive and I should do a tax return to recover the 30% of my first three paychecks. The University gave me a Form 1042-S which doesn’t reflect any tax withholding.
What do you think I should change or add to correctly do my tax return and recover the taxes of my first three paychecks ?

Still waiting for any movement. Why is it taking so damn long? Can you tell how frustrated I am??
I have the 570 code no 971. IRS said it’s either a disconnect between my employer and SSA or a disconnect between them and SSA. Then he told me if I don’t get my refund by June 5th(at 120 days) to give them a call. I asked if I could just send in my w2. Nope. So I just have to wait. I filed Jan 29th. I just don’t understand. On my transcript it gave me the 570 code with 0.00 and March 4th. It’s been giving me that same thing since February.
Literally fed up. We’re struggling hard over here. I don’t know how to check 1099 form issues or any of that. I don’t want to hear wait 120 days because I freaking can’t. Anyone with an 05 tax code who are actually updated on Thursdays.
Just checked my transcript and to my surprise the 846 was there! Refund on the way guys! Hopefully everyone gets that 846 code soon, sprinkling some “hurry up” dust on the IRS for ya. Stay hopeful, my refund took about 8 weeks. See y’all next tax season!
After months of waiting, woke up to 571/846 codes! 846 for 4/24 which I assume is day we should receive refund? Glad this is almost over. What a horrible, stress inducing tax season this has been. Never reporting a retirement withdrawal again lol

I always get my refund around Feb 27th….it’s aapril 27 and I still don’t git nothing just days still processing I called there’s no audio and I didn’t grt anything in mail they said don’t make sense
I was “accepted” within hours of filing (latest I have ever been). Nothing since and no expectations here. Wage transcript says No record of return filed. N/A everywhere else :) Will update when I see a change.
I’m in texas too and no updates. Filed 1/29, 0705, 570 3-4 and 971 3-11. TAS can’t do anything and when I called the irs last week they said to wait until July 9th
Filed 1/29 accepted 1/30 and 570 and 971 codes for 3/04 and 3/11. Just got off the phone with irs and was told to wait until July 11th to call back to check the status. Nothing they can help with at this time.
Anyone joint filers out there I’m looking for feedback on ID verification. Filed 3/19. Joint ID verification letter received 4/8. I uploaded the control number in my ID.Me notice notification and the message went away and was successfully verified. I’m the primary filer and only my WMR has ID verification notice, husband only says still processing. No transcript updates.
Do both filers need to complete verification through ID me or just me being primary filer and it was a joint letter?Finally got code 846 4/22/2024
Filed 2/1 never received any letters. Was told incorrect wages were reported. Contacted TAS send in letter from my employer stating reported wages. Waited 2 weeks.
anyone from texas that received any up dates on transcripts or DDD? 0705 since 2/15 havnt recieved the 970 but I did recieve my letter to do nothing 60 days just pass TAS said wait til 120 days. just wondering if Texans got updates.
It’s been over 10 weeks for me. So I called and got the same response that I was picked for a review. To call back in 45 days if I do not hear anything or get a letter. This is horrible.
I was told the exact same thing. I filled 1/29 and excepted the same day. I’m still calling once a week and sometimes they say no errors and some say I’m in errors!
They told me everything is good with return that they have a code saying is error on the system and they need to do it manually. Hope it is processed within 30 days. They said you need to call because if you don’t call. It will take longer to refund you back.

Wait the 21 days and called IRS they told me to give them 10 weeks that my return is on error department my 10 weeks pass today 4/16. I called IRS today 4/16 and they told me they process a reference for them to check on return and wait 30 days for refund if there is no return in 30 days they will sent a letter explaining the reason of delayed on return.Same here, BEYOND frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same situation for me! Filed 1/29 accepted 2/3. WMR on one bar still transcripts have not changed. Top two have N/A and bottom show year but no additional info. I have called twice and was told we were selected for review. Was told by 4/5 our refund should be released but still have nothing. For reference we filed MFJ, 3 children, same residence same employers for years. Also have not received any notices, mail, requests…etc. Beyond over it.

Well my as of date is March 4, 2024 and still nothing, no movement, no changes no nothing! I am at the 11 weeks for injured spouse and still I wait. Every year for the last 5 years there is a date or excuse why it isn’t done. WMR still processing with the 152 TC, my transcript is AS of date 3/4/2024, 570 TC 3/4/2024. I just don’t understand the delay for IS.
Finally! I’ve been waiting since January for my return. I got a Tax Advocate and was told the former employer hadn’t sent my 1099r(s) to the IRS yet. It looked like I had overstated my income. I had to fax the 1099r(s), the withdrawal statements, and bank statements showing the funds had been deposited into my account. I also reached out to my former employer and was told they didn’t send them to the IRS until March 31st. My refund is finally set to be sent on April 17th.
I finally got 846 code! CP05 letter received 3/18.

Amendment was acknowledged, as of date went to 4/29 and now 5/6 ( updated all within the last 2 weeks)Really starting to get annoyed. filed 1/29 accepted 1/30. 570- 3/4 971-3/11 and still nothing had processing date of 2/19 and then 2/26 and then 3/4 and now its 5/6 i really hate the irs.
I updated yesterday (4/12). Got my DDD for 4/17. I’m not going to say be patient because I sure as hell wasn’t. I will say everyone’s time is coming and to anyone still waiting, I am praying your time is soon🙏🏾🫶🏿

Federal still says processing ddd will be updated when available. Has been for like a month now.Called IRS was told I have to wait until April 22 ( 10 week mark) to call back if I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t received any letters or notices. Was told by IRS that nothing needs to be done. Transcripts are blank. I’m thinking I may have to fill out the tax advocate form and send it in.

Still no update for me this week. As of date still 3/18 as well as the 570. EFiled and accepted 2/25 with IS. This wait is so frustrating. Honestly, I don’t understand why it takes so long to process injured spouse returns. Hopefully good news is on the way.

I just spoke with an IRS rep who sounded like she was still in bed sleeping I can hardly make out what she was saying because she was mumbling in a southern voice; Frustrated as hell – she knew NOTHING told me to wait 120 days even though I received a CP05 letter on March 4th I took a 401K loan
PROCESSING DATE Feb. 26, 2024Still nothing. I’m about to start calling them every day just to annoy them. I’ve already changed my tax withholding info on my W4. The government won’t be getting any more interest free loans and then holding it from me anymore. Done with that crap.

All the updates I’ve seen so far with a a 570 have a date for 3/4 and 3/11… wondering if 3/18 and 3/25 will update this Thursday?? It s a theory! I hope it’s right. I need this refund! 1/31 filer and this wait is ridiculous

My transcripts have been the same since Feb. I also received Another notice yesterday for Another 60 days but look at God! I never called, just waited patiently. I was a weekly this year but still updated on a Tuesday. I did have a 401k withdrawl from Fidelity.My 401k withdraw was through adp. Prior to having them I didn’t even know they did 401k
For does who withdrew from their 401k what was the financial institution that managed you 401k? I know for mine it was fidelity. It could be the IRS hasn’t received the information on the withdrawal from the financial institution just yet.

just wanted to let you know what I’m dealing with. I amended the end of Feb, checked my transcripts Tue 3/9 and I have tax code 290 with 0.00 on 3/5. look up the where’s my amended refund, that should give you a little info. it shows like where’s my refund with the 3 bars, only diff is instead of RECIEVED APPROVED SENT it shows RECIEVED ADJUSTED & COMPLETE.
i’ve had a 570 code since feb 16,2024. called irs they say under review my w2 doesn’t match my input it is off by $1900 i sent in my last pay check of december which check ends date of 12/15/2023 and it shows amount i put on my return but my w2 is showing i made less ????? how is that possible so i amended return and now wondering how much longer will i have to wait on my refund to b released

I withdrew from my 401k last year and still waiting on an update. Cycle 0705 and nothing has changed on my transcripts since mid February. Got cp05 on 3-11. I called a tax advocate and they can’t do anything, plus I was told to wait an additional 60 days, so if I don’t get the refund or hear anything by July 9 I can call back. This tax season has been beyond frustrating
