I also just want to say, I know lots of us are skeptical to believe any one thought or theory because it is your money that is involved. However, I don’t think there is any need for tax advocates. I understand that people don’t think the 570 came off on Friday, because we don’t see it reflected on our transcripts, and no one got a dd or ddd. That is really easy to understand though. It’s not as if by magic the code would come off and people would start seeing money appear in their bank accounts, or ddd would show up on WMR. Friday was a deferred day, NOTHING posted ,and NOTHING will post until tomorrow. Believe what you want, but it is a process. The code has to come off, your return will need further processing to acknowledge the code is gone, and then a DDD will be generated.

I agree with Bagel, the past few years I filed early using my last pay stub. The company I work for closes their books for the year Jan 1st so we would often get two checks so the info was always accurate. The past two years I got caught in something going down clogging the system. This year I waited until IRS had been processing for a week. Low and behold I am in the eight day from start to finish group. It saved a lot of stress wondering what the heck was going on when bars vanished, no transcripts, or other common issues. Forever more I will file seven days after it’s going. It could be a false theory but it is much easier on the nerves.

It was the refund and I put the bank account number in wrong. My bank has already rejected it. I’ve been told it could be 8 weeks and I’ve been told a week to 10 days to get a paper check.

I just spoke to someone at SBBT. I filed 01/09 accepted 01/12 got a DDD of by 02/04 and second bar about 3am yesterday. According to the rep at SBBT they’ve received confirmation for a deposit dated 02/02 from the IRS.

Not surprising at all that no one saw an update on WMR or transcripts. Transcripts won’t update until late tomorrow into Tuesday early. Friday was a deferred day, nothing posted. Saturday and Sunday are non posting days even if processing, and won’t post til Monday either. WMR being down for an extended time, is directly related to the Acknowledgment system errors that had been happening a few times last week. I know there are all kinds of rumors and theories going around, and some people are promising the WMR was down and is still down because a big update is coming, but its not going to happen today or tonight. Look for progress or updates late tomorrow night into Tuesday morning.

If it was rejected you should be able to correct it and re-submit. I am not sure what account number you are talking about, if it is the bank number then I think they mail you a check so it could be an extra week to ten days. I know when I used to file my ex’s I would get his birthday wrong by one day every single time, it would be rejected, I’d smack my head and re-submit then wait for the off set. He refused to file knowing it would go to back child support, he never understood it would reduce his balance a couple thousand. The solution was he’d give me his W-2 and I’d file for him.

I know beast, but since you have filed your Ohio already they will take it before the federal gets to them. I did the same last year filed my federal and they took the offset.. fine but then I filed my ohio and they took it took. I got it finally but took me over six weeks to get it back.

Ts this is common this year the returns are processing slower and are delayed and just because ur locked online u can still order them on the phone if you are able to order both then you might have a freeze or another issue if not then you are just not done processing

Bill they have 15 days to respond from letter issued by irs to prove offset :/ now that paper mail so at 7 each way so if they don’t respond right away it could take up to 30 days

As soon as my refund hit the card they restricted it and basically holding $5000 – do not use – customer service sucks and they do not care and the jackson hewitt office basically says “we did not know these cards would have so many problems, its your card, you deal with it”

No customer service and basically stealing your hard earned money – 17 people at work have the same problem..so beware, then they have their “compliance dept. look at it and they do not work weekends and they conveniently do this BS on a friday

@Jay if you can try planning to file later next year I know its hard to wait even longer but I’ve always noticed when you file a week or so after opening day it goes a lot smoother. Probably because of everyone that files well before opening day builds up a long queue. Last year I filed 2 weeks after opening day and had my money 5 days later fastest year ever.

Thanks! Yes I read that before on the site. I just think ‘mid Feb’ is such a vague statement don’t you think? Considering April 15 is hard and fixed. “We must file by April 15th or risk penalties.” I’m just vexed as to why they can’t give us an exact date when they’ll start accepting. Because at this rate, them trying to push through so many in the queue in mid Feb (or whenever they open it up) is going to be a clusterferk. Illinois so corrupt. Refund Trace is a totally and completely a seperate thing than wmr ppl!! Btw, wmr is working fine for me. For what it’s worth, in all my many years of filing, wmr has never updated any other time than between 3am and 6am on Sat and Wed mornings. Never ever! Not saying it hasnt for others, but has never changed for me.
