I am keeping my fingers crossed. Received my NC State Refund this morning although it was only $2.00 but they evidently didn’t have a problem with my return. Also, another bit of good news is received notice of bonus money from work to be deposited on Tuesday. They say good things come in 3’s and I am hoping the next is federal refund.

Another update: Still can’t access my transcripts, not even from a previous year. Today wmr still says my refund is being processed and a date will be provided when available. My friend was able to view transcripts on 02/14 which showed he would only be getting part of his return due to a letter that has been mailed that states he need to send in more info. well no letter yet and wmr says take action all or part of your refund will not be sent until he receives the letter and send the info. in. Well part of his refund was sent on 02/17 and he received it on his card today. They are waiting on the info needed before sending the rest which is for EIC and child tax credit. I called and talked to a TA again. This time no info. was given to me and I was told I’m still processing and to wait the full 21 days starting from the day IRS actually started processing which was 02/09 instead of 02/06, the day I filed and was accepted. The TA also said that if there was something “wrong” with my return i wouls be able to see a cide on wmr. I dont know how true that is bc i see people who had to call and talk to an irs rep before knowing they were flagged for ID verification. She said she couldn’t pull anything until my 21 days were up. I calked the id verify # and was told they couldnt give any info. until 21 days but i didnt have any flags. So basically the cycle date on the transcript was correct! Even though wmr never gave my friend an actual date he received it on time with a cycle code of 20150605. Apparently its just taking a little longer this year for some of us. I guess I’m just not being patient enough!! Hope this help somebody.

My boyfriend filed the exact same day. up until three days ago he had the one bar but then it changed to none at all and he has no refund well we have no refund nor dates NOTHING! Cannot get in touch with IRS either!

I had an offset last year but I still received my refund. Also on the transcripts for 2014 have nothing regarding a refund.

I have not received any codes and I can see my tax transcript that coincides with the return I filed. This is my second year filing the IS form. Hey guys, Ive been reading this forum since I filed w/ turbo tax on 2/6 (accepted 2/6) and I have to say I was starting to get worried by all the comments. Well my refund is a little over
10k and I have an offset, getting direct deposited into my checking account. I had only one bar and the 153 or 152 topic since the 6th of feb. Woke up this morning with the article regarding my offset and a deposit date of Monday 2/23, i hope this gives some of you comfort.

@heather; Im still waiting for mine they said it was processed on 2/6/15. It never took me this long to get my state. But one thing i do know is that they are doing it different this year. It would show up when your deposit or check will be mailed, but it seems their not doing that this year. My sister filed on 1/26/15 and got hers last Monday and I filed mines and my others sisters and brother on the same date and nothing but saying its processed and allow 4 to 6 weeks for a check to be mailed

I filed my fiances taxes for him using TurboTax. He had a DDD of today 2/19 and cycle date of 20150605. He has the 846 on his transcript. However, nothing in the account. I did use my checking and routing# for his deposit. I called my bank (huntington) and they said that the bank wouldn’t reject the DD because his refund name is different from the account. They also said that they don’t show any pending deposits or rejection of deposits on my account. Checked the paperwork from where I filed and verified I put my account info in right. Not sure what’s going on, it’s his money and I hate the feeling like I did something wrong.

annab this year there is a lot of delays but i would expect as long as u have no freeze codes due to the id theft in 2012 u should have a refund for next week

hmmrefund yes the 570 is due to the id verify and it will update about 2 weeks after u do the verification… and a ddd about a week later

tabiha if you got the transcript then u must have a freeze 570- code on it… did u call and find out why…

brandy the system can automatically flag past returns as well. for example is you and mary’s social is very close to being the same and say mary mistyped in her ss number by mistake and it matched urs. that would flag an id verify even though it was a mistake. processing time is about right 2-3 weeks

I filed on 1/16 accepted on 1/21 and have been able to see my transcripts since the 30th. the bars on wmr dissapeared around the 1st and nothing has changed. I have a 570 and 971 on my transcripts with the date 2/16/15, on 02/14 i received a notice that a previous year wasnt filed and they were holding my taxes. i had mailed my previous year off on 2/4 when i saw that it hadnt been filed from my transcripts. I called on 2/17 and spoke to someone in the department that handles that and she told me that she sees my previous year taxes had been received and that she was releasing my current years taxes and that it could take an additional 2 to 4 weeks…. I have been checking both wmr and my transcripts each day since to see if theres been any update and there hasnt been. this is frustrating

No it usually doesn’t take the full 11 weeks to process. Last year I had to wait a little longer because it took them forever to finalize the form. I filed this yr with the form on the 26th and should be getting my return this week or next, so it’s only been a little over 21 days that I have been waiting.

Codes ending in 05 are weekly updates. Your transcript won’t update till fri, wmr will update on saturdays.

Have you called? Have any offsets that you know of? My ex and I filed together, he is listed first, in 2011 and owe taxes from that year. Not sure if they are going to take mine or not, seems like they would take his first, he is the reason we owe and he is getting back quite a bit more than me, something he did not file from his stint in the military.

I filed my taxes for my Fiance using TurboTax. Used my checking account info for direct deposit bc he likes using pre-pay debits so he doesn’t overdraw. Had a DDD of 2/19. Checked my account this morning (2/19) and nothing was there (10:00am EST) Called my bank Huntington and asked if they showed a pending deposit or any rejections on my account, was told NO. Then I asked if for any reason would his refund be rejected by Huntington bc I’m the account holder. Bank manager told me no, that some banks won’t accept DD if the names are different but Huntington isn’t one of them. She also told me that the IRS doesn’t verify who the routing and account# belong to before they send the DD. Then checked his transcripts and the code 846 is listed. Not sure what’s going on. Keeping fingers crossed that it’s in my account tomorrow.

so your gf will have 2 wait until she teceives yet another update on her transcripts with TC 971 letting her know that her refund was rejected by the bank. It usually takes them 2 days to reprocess and resend a refund via mail…others have reported 3-4 days transit time from day sent to receipt on their end.

If you have tried to retrieve a copy of your IRS transcript and received the error message “We cannot process your transcript. Please contact the Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU) at 800-908-4490,” you might find this post helpful. I received this message and was puzzled because I just looked at a copy of my credit report and there was nothing out of the ordinary on there. I finally called the number on 2/17 and spoke with a very nice, helpful man. He did put me on hold for a bit while he checked out what the issue was, but came back on every two minutes or so to make sure I was still there and to let me know he was still looking for answers. Finally he said the identity theft indicator was prompted by information received by a third party. I still had no idea, then it hit me. In 2013, my old employer sent out a letter to let everyone know that someone with the payroll company they used had a laptop stolen and therefore our personal information could have been stolen. THAT is the reason my return has an identity theft flag. It eased my mind quite a bit! So if you are getting an identity theft flag, it might be because, for example, you have a credit card with a company where an employee had a laptop stolen or a server was hacked. It doesn’t mean you definitely HAVE been a victim of identity theft, just that you might be at risk. I know it is hard to wait for that refund, but identity theft is such an issue now and it is nice to know that the government is taking it seriously. Hope that answers questions for some of you!

I was assigned a TA on Wednesday of last week. I faxed all the info and got confirmation on Thursday that my paperwork was sent to the IRS to expedite return. If I have no updates I am allowed to call the TA back on February 26th. I filed 1/20/2015 and accepted the same day. I lost bars on 1/31/2015 and WMR has not changed since.

I filed thru TT on 1/31/15 was accepted a few minutes later. I am still on one bar on WMR. I have called and told it wasn’t accepted until 2/3/15. The rep said there appears to be no issue and if I don’t have any DD by the 25th Feb to call back then. Really this is getting to be ridiculous. Last year, the 1st Tax YEAR after ID theft I got refund withing 10 days. It has been 19 and still one bar. Can’t access my transcripts get the ID number to call. When I call them they say it is because of the ID theft I have back in 2012. That I could have them mailed to me. This is crazy wait even if they didn’t get it until 2/3/15 according to the unofficial refund chart I should have DDD of 2/20/15.

I filed my return through Turbo Tax 02/10/15 and was accepted same day. State was accpeted the next day (02/11/15). Still no progress on either front. Refund status still shows at one bar (received/accepted- not approved) on WMR. Turbotax track my refund info now shows a calendar. I hope the delay isn’t too much longer. I had a very basic return- Single, no children, no assets, claimed college tuition, and student loan repayment interest as I have in the past years I’ve filed (only 2013, 2012) so not sure what the hold up could be. No additional info available just the standard tax topic 152 on WMR- which explains refund delivery methods. ugh. I wish it would hurry up I need to get a new pc for one of my classes. I think that I will increase my allowances for my paystub so that this doesn’t happen next year. I’m done giving the Federal government an interest free loan through overtaxing- now I just want my money upfront in my paycheck b/c this waiting game gets worse every year. smh

Hi Bart,

I was accepted on 01/22. I had bars that disappeared on 02/01. Can not see transcripts. I called last week and was told I would just face a one week delay. Still haven’t received any money or updates.

I called again on Tuesday and was told that I was flagged as a victim of Id theft in 2013. The rep said it was a mistake on their part because I never initiated a flag for it and they have never had a problem with my social security. She said that they’ve actually just been holding my return for weeks because of this flag. No letters mailed. She said they didn’t issue a PIN to me either, and that indicated a rep error on their part in her eyes. She said she “removed the flag and code” and it would be sent to “the next department” and told me maybe I could call back in 2-3 weeks. She was apologizing for “their error” so many times, but I feel like this isn’t enough. Any insight or guidance? I haven’t seen many situations like mine on here.

WMR showed 1 status bar for a couple days and then the status bar went away completely and said my return was received and being processed, refund date will post when available, blah blah….. Hello all. I have to say this is a wonderful website for info. I have been searching for someone in the same boat as me but have not seen an example so I figured I would put my situation here.

I filed and accepted through TT on Feb 3. Got one bar on WMR within a couple of days. Within a week my Transcripts came up but something does not seem right. I file a W-2 and my wife runs a daycare at home and we file a schedule C for her. She pays estimated taxes all year and that is where the problem is. My transcript has the following info: Account Transcript

Cycle: 20150505 Date 00-00-0000

Code 150 – Return filed
Code 806 – W-2 or 1099 withholding

It is not showing any estimated tax payments like last year.

Now on the Return Transcript it does have all the information. But again, same cycle and date as above.

Now while myself and daughter were covered for the full year of health ins, my wife did not start hers till March which should mean she was OK and no penalty.

Kinda hoping someone else out there in the same situation and maybe has an answer. I have not called yet. 21 days will be Feb 24 so there is still some time. I know the last couple of years it has taken almost the whole 21 days but the transcript was never missing info.

I went through tax act. I got a text from republic bank saying they received my refund & sent it & I should get it within 1 to 5 days. But when I search for the status of a deposit through republic banks website it says they never received a deposit. Has this happened to someone & they’ve gotten theirs?!

Here are my numbers and some info; hopefully it sheds some tiny light to the 1/20 filers, like me, left in the dark.

Accepted 1/22
One bar on WMR. Refund amount showing. Topic 152 (direct deposit topic).
No transcripts (N/A).

Last year was on Cycle 20140605 (as in previous years),
That would been refund should have been sent have sent on 2/06 (and would see in my account 2/07 of that Monday).

2/07 Bars disappears with new message:
‘Still processing, date will be provided when available etc etc).
Same refund amount showing and same Topic 152.
No transcripts still (just previous years).

21 days passed. No letters, no change in amount (good thing amount shows, correct)?, bars still gone, same generic message. Still N/A on transcripts.

As of this morning.
Same ‘still processing’ message. Same 152. Same refund amount. N/A on transcript.
(In other words, no change).

Called IRS yesterday.
-They say there was a correction that had to be made that can be corrected internally.
-No information is needed from me at this time.
-I should receive money within one or two weeks (I believe I’m on the weekly cycle so if they send $$ on Fridays, I’ll get my refund on Saturday or that Monday like the last five years).
-If I do not receive anything two weeks to call back.

HOH, with EIC, small W2s, tiny small business, Education credit, also Healthcare credit.

I think with the new forms required, and the additional work with Healthcare with millions and millions of filers, they are bogged down with work.
They may also be double checking my W2s, my education interest paid, reviewing the Healthcare credits I requested etc etc.

Correctable errors? Let’s take a look.

I filed with Turbo Tax. As I’ve done the last three years.

Same dependents (same kids, lol), relatively the same financial situation the last three years, also same address last three years.

As for Turbo Tax: Now that I look at the actual return, it did have small errors… such as whether or not the children had insurance all twelve months. TT would check off all the boxes, for each of the twelve months, one by one, but not check off the box it had to, which was “insured all 12 months”.

So things like that may have confused the IRS software, among other small things I found. Not exactly wrong numbers, but things that would potentially confuse software programs.

So looks like it’s “correctable internally”, and wait one or two weeks.

Hope this helps and gives some insight to people who are lost in the cloud with no info.

Helpful info:
-To get a Live Person at the IRS (800-829-1040), chose prompts 1-2-2-4-1.
-Also check any you’ll have any non-tax owing offsets such as with child support or unemployment (I have none): 800-304-3107

I shall keep you posted (keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend deposit, or the next).

Filed and accepted in Georgia on 1/23. Finally called yesterday and was told they needed additional info for verification of identity. Gave them the info and was told I should have refund within 30 days. Something that usually takes a week in years past has turned into almost 2 months. Great job dropping the ball this year Georgia.

Still one bar. Tax topic 152 is there, but it has been there all along. I’ve never waited this long for movement. I don’t have a complicated tax situation either. No EIC, no Obamacare, nothing. We did buy two cars last year, so I sure was happy to claim that tax. Other than that, pretty standard. I’m very frustrated bc we purposely have higher taxes withheld so that we get a refund every year.

dave yes you will get a 570 anytime the return is stopped and has to be corrected (in most cases) but even if your out the 570 has to come off and 846 has to show refund issued. that actually might happen tonight… based of that cycle date you should get your money tuesday.

Hey Bart, so after I told you i was in error correction and called the irs, my return was no longer in the error dept. Got all my transcripts with cycle of 20150703 but the 570 code. Is that code just from being in error and not updating yet funds released. So close since I filed on 1/20. And I got a extra few hundred after the correction dept. I just want to be sure the code is for the past error correction and not something else
