What does the cycle date and processing date mean. Due to 2-16-2015 being a holiday what are the odds of my return being processed

My return was accepted on 1/20, I was able to order both transcripts since 1/28 by mail only. I had a credit freeze placed on my credit report so I can’t view them online. When I received both transcripts my return was completely filled out and my account was all zeros. I thought once you could order your return it meant you were done processing, guess not. I called the irs 3 times, the first time the lady said I would receive a letter in 7 to 10 days she had no idea why or when tge letter was sent. I called the TA line and spoke with another rep. She said no letters were sent out and if there would have been a letter sent out she could tell what type of letter and when it was sent. She said the only hold up she sees is my return was pulled to make some type of correction and it shows it was corrected. She said if I do not have my DDD by Tuesday 17 to call back and she will assign me to a TA. I called back on yesterday to see if I had any updates tge rep told me that my return is still processing and I have no letters being sent out as of yet. She said if I do not receive a letter or a DDD in 2 weeks to call back. Any thing you could tell me about my situation would helpme a great deal. Thank you!I too filed and was accepted on 1/29. Cycle 20150505. No update on WMR and I can get 3/4 transcripts, the wage and income one states No Return Filed or something like that. I also have a 570 code. I asked Bart about it and he seems to believe that they are just verifying my income. Also, after further research, I have come to the conclusion that many people are having problems with their returns this year due to identity thief. Not that they were victims per say, but rather that because of so many fraudulent returns, the IRS is trying to be more careful with returns filed up to 2/2.
Same cycle code here. And my tranny reads as of march 9 as well. All with code 846. So this is a DDD of 2/19, even though my bars are still missing on WMR??
@Michigan Mama Prepare to not get any answers. I filed 1/20 and still have no updates, my 21 days are definitely up and they still just give me a generic 6-8 week line due to identity theft verification. I am awaiting a tax advocate assigned to my case next week…
@des09100-I had a date for February 11 to receive my refund my transcript updated this morning to 841 refund canceled. WMR updated to 1121 there is a delay in processing your tax return. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?
I’m so confused. I have one bar and transcripts shows no return filed. I was accepted on 1/29 anyone else going through this? I talked to someone over the week and she said it looks like I’ll be receiving something this coming week, how is that true if my transcripts shows nothing..
@ LALA – 841 means your refund was canceled and a 971 means misc transaction. What we can tell from your transcripts is that your refund was canceled and 971 code means they could not define the reason of cancellation. The means you are under review. Your return needs to be manually reviews by a live agent.
Anyone recieve any information? I still only have one bar and says no tax filed on transcripts.
DD scheduled for 2/19, deposited into Netspend account yesterday (2/13) at 330 pm and was rejected!! Very ticked off right now

What are your thoughts on a cycle code of 20150604 (2/17) and a WMR DDD of 2/18? Do you think I will have to wait until 2/18 for DD?We did too! So excited and relieved! I can’t believe we actually are getting our refund within the 21 days! Last year, we had to wait about 6 weeks and I was worried that we were going to be in for that kind of wait again this year, so I was ecstatic when I checked WMR last night/this morning and saw we had had been approved with a DD of 2/19!
Anyone else recieved this ? If so do you know exactly what it means

andrew that is very odd situation as if your retun got lost in the computers…. this is the first time i honestly can say i dont have and answer the only thing i can tell you is contact a TA
Just an FYI for any new to filing this way. I honestly see no pattern paper/electronic with/without the form. this is out 3rd year filing IS and first filing electronically BUT, even filing paper laat year it took right at 6 weeks for us to receive our refund. We requested direct deposit and that’s how we got it, so a paper return does not automatically mean a paper check. Income was split with me making about 29k and hubby working part time (we have quads so no way can we afford after school/sick care) making 7K. Its his debt, I claimed most of the allocations on my side and we got all of the refund. Hoping and praying for the same this year as we are planning to use it to pay off old debt and finally buy a house.

Your help is greatly appreciated. I have one last question.I filed 1/20 and my date moved to 1/22 after speaking to a 2nd rep. No bars, no transcripts available and the identity protection message when logging in. Ive called that department three times and they have no idea why its on there.
I called another fraud hotline and they said theres no fraud hold on my account. After speaking with another 3-4 IRS agents literally all they can say is my return is weird and they don’t see transcripts for it. I filed a very basic return. Im growing rather desperate at this point. My return last year was delayed until the end of March and they can’t tell me why either.
Grrr….I’ve watched most everyone in this thread leave with the info they need, if not their money too. I see my account transcript says AS date March 02, so 21 days back from that is the 10th, not 6th when I was told I was accepted. I jumped over to that thread and everyone on that thread pretty much has their DDD too from last night and the night befores updates.
I’m starting to go a little nutty. Like laughing manically sort of nutty…..anyone else running across this? Not being maniacal or nutty…LOL…just still waiting, or finding you were pushed back?
Still nothing! Agh I’m going nuts!
UPDATE:
So this morning my bars have magically reappeared and provided DDD 02/19… I am so happy!!! Finally the wait is over… I filed/accepted 1/21.
@Joy – 846 with 03/02 date just gives them time to process your return. YOU should be getting a DDD the same as I!HANG IN THERE GUYS! GOOD LUCK TIL NEXT YEAR!
I called the IRS and told them that i entered the wrong number. I called everyday but they kept telling me the whole process takes 4-6 weeks after the DD. I would call the US Treasury and ask if they have mailed out your check, they will tell you the status.
And homemade coffee cake cs? That is a heck of a morning.
Oh kimber that’s awesome! My bank doesn’t typically “hold” any funds so hopefully I see it soon I’m so antsy for it lol!
Still no real change. The only thing different is this morning (Saturday) WMR now has the amount of refund (was gone for a couple of weeks) and the topic 152 is gone, but still says processing, and no change to transcript, still 570 and 971, still haven’t received a letter.
@Mollie, but would that make it to where she has to pay it again? We are trying to buy a home in the next few months. That 2k they took would have helped for sure.
I would def file an Injured spouse. I did the last 2 years for mine. I faxed the forms and got a number to call to speed things up and I had the money sent back within 3 weeks from my dd. this year no worries he has paid his debt. Lol
My transcript updated overnight with 846 code. Cycle date still 20150604 which should be Tuesday. They took an offset my spouse had from not filing taxes for a few years. She had been making payments on it. Should I file an injured spouse form or just let it be?
