DDD Of Feb 11. Had my refund for a whole 15 min then was rejected. First was told by Irs 4 weeks. Then was told I would receive a letter in the mail. Got my cp43a notice by the end of February dated for march 2….still nothing!!! I was checking everyday then I realized who we are all dealing with!! I’ve given up on looking for this check. Fact of the matter is…..you better pay them but they are absolutely gonna take their time paying you. If anyone has received their check yet i would love to know…..good luck

It is being done on purpose by the IRS for funding reasons.
Remember back in January they said things would be a little slower this year due to
Congress reducing the IRS funding. Well the IRS is making sure that this is exactly what happens.
They purposely are delaying tens of thousand of refunds in the hope people will start calling
their congressmen and senators to complain and with enough complaints the IRS’s funding will
        be increased next year.

I have to wait 6-8 weeks for my tax return that was corrected as of Tuesday morning 4/7/15 when I originally filed on 2/5/15 in then did it over on the 2/11/15 due to an error the tax prepares made so i might get it sometime in may or close to June 80 full days from the time I first filed crazy.

GOD IS GOOD! i checked my tax transcripts and UPDATE!
              code 846
TA then called and said IRS’ notes indicated that my hardship request has been approved and check would be mailed on 4/15. i know, based on the state where i reside, that the letter is coming from philly. my refund check will FINALLY be in my hands in a week. y, all, i can tell you from personal experience that obtaining a TA (if applicable, or if one qualifies) is an excellent tool in cutting waiting time in half. they are able to axon verse directly with the IRS and get answers we wouldnt otherwise know.
good like to yall! i i hope everything works out for everyone…

                Filed 1/31
                Accepted 2/5
Recd part of my refund–EIC and tax overpayment -3/4
Did not get premium tax credit. No letter recd yet. WMR says processing and under review.
Called the number listed with code 1242 and still no closer to understanding why or what if any addtl information is needed. Anyone with the same experience?

@ Valery, my situation is exact same as yours except I filed and was accepted on Jan 20th. I talked to irs today and they said it’s still being reviewed bug with the time being up they sent a referral on my behalf to see what the problem is. I should hear from them sometime in the next 45 days ugh so frustrated.

                      UPDATE!

My transcripts updated to my amended return being accepted on 3/25. I spoke with my advocate and she stated that my refund should be released to the treasury department on Friday and my check should be kicked our next Friday! The newest date on my transcript next to my money is 4/27! I believe I should have my money by that date. Keep you updated & good luck to you all.

So… I finally gave up because it’s still stuck on code 570 and I called the tax advocate and told them my college classes will drop me if I don’t pay…they took a look into my account and told me that my refund has been adjusted as of April 2nd and it may take 2-3 weeks to process but my battle should be over real soon and if I don’t have the money by the 13th to call them back. A tax advocate will be in touch with me in a few days.

I filed on 1/23 and it still says processing… I called and all they told me is that it is still processing… well DUH I knew that much but that’s all they could tell me… I hear this year is the worst year for getting refunds back at a decent time..

Today WMR updated, my bars are back and a DDD 4/10/2015!! Woohoo!! This whole process took 58 days for me. 2 days short of 2 months..

Those people have no clue about anything. I called in February after my general 21 days and they said they couldn’t tell me anything because I had recieved a letter. The letter came 2 weeks later. So I had no clue what I was going on before that because of their lack of knowledge. It sounds like the lady you spoke to really knows nothing, ughhh so frustrating. So will they talk to you tomorrow or do you have to wait unti the day after?

I filed on 2.15. Was accepted 2.16. After my 21 days, I called and verified ID. Exactly 5 weeks later, I noticed the that the wording on WMR changed slightly (from like “still being processed” to “are in process”). The next day the bars were back and a DD date. DD was received this morning. 52 days total from start to finish.

Same boat as you and decided to call today. filed 1/20 accepted 1/21 570/971/cp05 and a marketplace insurance credit . The woman who answered seemed annoyed from the moment she answered the line. I explained my situation and asked if a referral could be sent. She acted like she didn’t know what that was and if my letter didn’t expire til the 9th why am i calling now. I explained that i happened to be able to get through right now after days of the call volume being too high i decided I would at least find out if someone could research it and let me know what department it is in or what information if any is needed from me. She kept asking where i’m getting my information from and I told her in the irs manual and i read to her part of it and what the process is and what she could do. She told me well, “my process is that i can’t do anything until that letter is expired” I said, “you sound annoyed… it isn’t my intention to bother you or make you jump through hoops for me. I am simply asking for a person to look at my return… a human… so I can find out a time frame or what to expect” She said “I’m trying to find out where you are getting your information which you still havent answered (actually I did… duh.. i read the manual)” So I said, it’s here in the IRS manual… and she said “I’m seeing that now, but i can’t do anything until that letter has expired” and I said “well i suppose it depends on who you speak to then, but how about this… can you at least tell me what department this is in?” she said “Well lets see a CP05 usually thats the audits department” At this point I realize she isn’t even looking at my account because cp05’s can be generated from many different departments… she is just trying to scare me or be a bitch (because no other term can describe her attitude and demeanor as well) and at this point and I’ve been extremely calm and organized and trying NOT to be a crazed taxpayer that I assume she deals with alot and putting up with her attitude and she is making no effort to help in anyway or to be even remotely kind in return. so i say, “Well, it appears I won’t be getting any new information other than what I have from you today, I’ll let you get back to assisting other taxpayers” She says, “thank you for calling the irs” or some other canned goodbye and i say “uh huh” and hang up. Her ID is 1000677656 I would recommend if connected to her just hanging up and trying again because not only is she completely useless, her customer service skills are completely inept and she has no knowledge of the manual, procedure, or common courtesy. And that my friends is why I do not call this crackerjack operation with it’s mixed bag of “who knows who will answer the phone” unless absolutely necessary. I could have requested a supervisor or gotten bitchy right back with her but i doubt she would have connected me anyway or tried to help. So I am done with this for today and will plan on calling friday with the thousands of other people who i’m sure will be on the lines and fighting to get through …. and who knows what day i will finally be able to get a referral to actually get this handled.

In 30 plus years of filing taxes I have never waited 3 months to get my refund and as of today no updates or good reason why.Dear John this is 2015 not the 1970 s.I dont care what errors people have made on their returns or the so called id verify that are getting alot of folks delayed it should not take months to get your refund not in this day and age.If you can call and verify your id and your going to get a letter after that they cant tell you whats its for like its some top secret hey I just verified my id.They must need to generate revenue for the failing postal service. And while were at it put the director of the so called tax advocate service Nina Olson in there to I dont need a voice in the irs we need our refunds.I have a tax advocate as well doesnt return calls and cannot give me any information either so as of to date my voice has been reduced to a whisper

I’ve been told to wait 6-8 weeks from 2/19 and most recently they informed me that if I dont see any updates or receive a letter by 4/17 to call back that day – which is the end of my 6-8 wk period. I’d be really upset if then I am told to wait 6-8 additional weeks. I’m not sure whats going on this year, but I know now not to get my hopes up during Tax Season!

Just an update of my 2015 Tax Season….Personally Bart’s Thoughts wasn’t very helpful at all.

1/20 – Filed on Turbo Tax
1/23 – IRS officially accepted my return
2/10 – Found out I was pulled for a “random review” had to call IDVERIFY and called to verify and was told I had to wait another 6 weeks
2/10 through 3/23 – Received a 5071C letter and 4464c letter and reached out to the Taxpayer Advocate Service to help expedite my refund process. Can’t see transcripts online but I can get them via mail, can’t login to IDVERIFY online to check if I’m verified, when I call IDVERIFY, it knocks me out due to high call volume. My taxpayer advocate sucks she doesn’t call back in her allotted time frame and is very rude. I haven’t heard from her in over a week when she told me she would send in an inquiry to expedite my process.
3/23 – Six weeks later and guess what? STILL NO REFUND! Where’s my refund saying “Still processing. Date will be provided…blah blah blah” I called the regular line and she told me that my process is now in the hands of my advocate. So I called her and no answer of course. I left a message.
4/04 – FINALLY got an update on WMR and a DDD.
4/08 – FINALLLLY GOT MY REFUND!!! Nearly three months later!

In my case, Bart wasn’t very helpful. He estimated that I would have my refund before March 23 but that wasn’t the case. This whole site seems to be a bunch of guessing games. I think the best advice is to keep calling the IRS and/or your tax advocate and just wait. That’s all you can really do.

IRS still says they can’t provide any information until it has been the full 10 weeks.
This is obviously not true, as numerous other people have been given information. I wish the entire IRS structure would just fucking burn.

I can’t get an advocate, I am at my wits end and there isn’t a thing anyone can do. I just don’t understand it. I filed as soon as I could because I need 2 root canals and don’t have the money for that and can’t do anything until I get my return. I never had any problems with the irs until this year. It’s pathetic the season is almost over and so many people haven’t seen their money yet. I hope each one of you get yours quickly.

Call irs, they say return wasn’t accepted until February 17th, should be receiving refund end of march/beginning of April. It’s now April 7th, still no refund. Hubby calls irs, they tell him return wasnt corrected until March 17th (?), and we won’t get our refund until may. They never asked for verification of our identities, we never got any letters requesting information. This is ridiculous. We should be able to charge them interest for holding our money back and playing games, God forbid we don’t pay taxes, we get penalized.

So that code was them taking my full amount to pay that debt. This year my husband decided to file injured spouse so that way he could get his portion of the refund since my loans were before we were married. For some reason they still decided to take our full refund this year. I’m still calling to figure out why.

It was received 3/3/15 code 971. 766 code was posted about two weeks later with a 4/15 date. I continued to check every week and received a 971 code for notice issued around 3/19. The next Tuesday received the letter. checked following week and there was a 846 code for refund with date of 4/13 cycle 20151205. I got my check in the mail yesterday! Much faster this year but we are now on the west coast and form was sent to the California branch. Not sure if the speed was due to that or the fact that it was our second time and I was enrolled in the rehab program for my loan. Hope everyones progress is as smooth as mine was this year and for those waiting forever maybe next year will be better.

Anyway, after the IRS site said refund deposited 2/12/14 we called our bank to check on our deposit and nothing. Finally was informed of offset, sent in Inured Spouse form mid March and after the 8 weeks we called and they said they were behind and we should contact an advocate. Didn’t receive our refund until mid July, it was the full amount but it took forever! Sidenote we sent it to the Kansas branch as we were living down south.

NYS was accepted on March 13th, but on March 16th, I got the 90 day review. Today is April 7th and it’s still on a 90 day review. I did not receive any letters and I started an online account with NYS to see if they were going to email me with anything. To this date i’ve received nothing. This board is loaded with folks that seem to have the same problems but mostly in January and February, I am not seeing too many complaints for March. I hope that everyone gets their refunds quickly but misery loves company.

I faxed in my 1095 and 8962 forms on March 4 and I haven’t been able to get any information. I spoke to rep trying to get an update yesterday, and she said she was transferring me to someone who could give me an update. She sent me to a recorded message. I thought that was so mean…

I overnight the forms. IRS rec’d the information on 02/01/2015. still to this day when i check the amend return site, it says nothing has been received. What should I do? when i call the 800 I am unable to get in touch with a live person.

Good luck to all those still waiting! Mine was stuck with a 570 for weeks and my cycle date well passed when it finally updated with an 846. My new cycle passed too and the following Friday, my transcripts updated that both 846 amounts were taken. I called and found out it was in error, that one amount should have gone to me 3/25 so now I’m playing the waiting game again. It updated 4/4 that the irs has the funds again and my new cycle code should be ddd of 4/10 but we’ll see. If you have an 846 you *should* get your money the following week (unless paper check) and if not, your money might be offset (898 code) so check your transcript every Friday mid-morning or Saturday to see what’s up. Good luck!!

in reply to: Help with transcript, is my battle over? #4111139

Looks like you’ll need to wait longer – they say 11 weeks to process before you should call for updates. Seems like most injured spouse forms update on Friday mid-morning. You should see a code for additional tax assessed or information pending (I know that one is 570) and it should give you an 846 to release any funds you might get back. Wait to see if the account balance updates to a negative amount, that should be what you’ll get back. As far as that numbers with dashes, no idea, irs stuff. :) good luck!

Have called them twice and still can not access it. The last person I talked to said she was going to make a refferal which would take 30 because I have not had any id theft issues and have even checked my credit reports for all 3 credit bureaus recently and nothing is wrong with them. So idk why it keeps telling me to contact that number.

I had a few interruptions with my refund, but this past Saturday, my WMR switched to showing a DDD of Wednesday, the 8th. Just today, my parents got a letter from the IRS, the CP05. The notice date is for the 13th. Is my DDD now not applicable or was the CP05 sent before my refund was approved and the DDD set?

I am a non-resident. I lived in the US for one year (July 2013-June 2014). I got my masters degree and then worked as a summer research assistant at the university in which I studied. I then came back to my country and have not been back to the US since then.

If it is, could you please tell me which forms I need to fill out and how to file them?

There is no offset code on my transcript and based on the cycle code, I should be refunded Thursday. I really hope it’s not offset.

Had bars for like a week then they disappeared. I called on 4/2 and waited on hold for like an hour(called in the morning) before talking to someone. There was an error on my return that they resolved on 3/25. The said it would take 6 weeks from that date but I got my bars back and DDD today for 4/8

(Additional account action pending or Additional Liability Pending/or Credit Hold) I honestly believe that most cp53a notices are manually reviewed… Lord only knows why.. but I don’t lol… anytime I really don’t understand one of my Transcript codes.. I visit thia website…. https://www.auditdetective.com/Transaction_Code_Definitions.html It’s been the only way I’ve been able to half a** keep up with what they are doing with my refund.. I hope this link helps.. But If you can’t get an answere out of a csr in the mornings… call around 4-6 in the evening… I wish I could remember the guys id#… I could’ve sent you and Diane straight to him.. But like I said the other day… we spoke on Friday and I still don’t have any updates.

I’ve talked to the IRS several times, yet now when I contact them they refer to previous calls with “looks as though we spoke to you on 3/9 and advised it would take 6-8 weeks.” I was accepted on 2/13 — IRS states that I have to wait 6-8 wks from 2/19. Apparently, there is some kind of ID Theft from 2013 thats preventing the release of my refund.

Again, how long did you wait from filed, or the date the IRS accepted?

I received my state return and not my federal. Where is my refund still says processing. I haven’t been able to get anyone live in the IRS. Going to wait until the 15th since that’s what my transcript says. If I don’t get anything by then, then I guess im going to have to continuously call until someone answers and tells me what is going on.

Of course I would hope someone would let us all know if they ever get their return or some information on what to do to expidite the process. As of right now I have no dire situation to get the advocates help. But if I don’t get it by the end of the month I will.

This whole thing is unfortunate for everyone involved.

I can not order transcripts online for I get the message call identity protection. Have not received any letters or codes either thank you for any answer or advice.

We had the same issue. This is our first time having to file IS. We were waiting on our refund back in Feb but it never came. We had an 846 but then it changed to 898 showing they took our entire return.

No 846 yet….I’m hoping soon being that the last rep I talked to told me if I didn’t get my refund by April 13 to call. The 13 is Monday. After doing further research I found that any refund with 5 digits had to be mailed which means longer processing.

I filed on 1/29 and still 570 code so I finally got through today and the irs rep said the form was recieved and couldnt understand why the money hasnt been released.
