So I already know about the EIC and CTC. I filed 01/27/2024 & was accepted 01/29/2024. I was told I need a letter with a code to confirm my info. I have yet to receive this letter. When it get mailed out (02/19/2024)? Any other year I file in January and get them back before then end of the month (that’s with EIC & CTC). I guess I’m lost on why they did thing this way this year. I’ve had a ID.Me account t since 2020 n never had to go through this. I don’t owe anything and everything is the same for the last 5 years.

You know I noticed every year it’s the TT people saying this. I filed February 4 via freetaxusa and I have all codes and transcripts showing just waiting for 846. I really don’t know how they’re still in business 😕

                Hello.

I filed on 2/1 via TT. SBTPG for fees.
                CTC
                AOTC

WMR shows return received. Last year I had a DDD 3 days after filing. However, the AOTC is new for me this year. Transcripts still showing N/A. Unfortunately, I am a weekly so hopefully this week, it will update. Fingers crossed.

Very expensive for a simple return. I agree with others who posted. Report this guy to your states attorney General office with receipts of the fees.like others said alot easier and cheaper to file your self with services such as TurboTax. H R Block .freetaxusa. you can use a smartphone to file with these services too..simple and easy they walk you through the process, anyone can file themselves with a simple return and with a child or 2.

Filed TT 2/2, accepted same day. Straightforward 1040, standard deductions. Nothing crazy. No movement since.

Last year I filed TT on Sunday 1/29 and received a DDD on Wednesday 2/8 – 7 business days after filing. As of today it’s been 7 business days…. 🫤

Posting here cause I don’t think many people check the state forums. Curious how long it took people to get their deposit after their release date? Mine was released on 2/9. Hoping I don’t have to wait much longer. 🙈

And if your curious before you file you can go to TurboTax and do the refund estimate This should give you an idea of what your refund could be if you file HOH compared to single. But since I’ve had my kids I’ve always filed HOH, doesn’t matter how much I’ve made. Good Luck!

It’s been rejected by the IRS. It’s my understanding that I have to mail in a paper return now. Has anyone else had this experience? If so, how long did it take you to get it straightened out?

I used the email app on 6 FEB 2024. A rep replied the next day. Rec’d FED refund on 5 FEB 2024. No further info from Maryland received. State is likely earning interest income by holding back refunds as long as possible while blaming the delay on “SYSTEM UPGRADE” .

Idk how much I trust that, but that’s the “official” word.

We’ll see if I actually get one this week. My guess is they will start sending after the 21 days, but I need mine *now* . Got no time to wait months for my refund.

No more giving the government my hard earned money to sit on. It’s not like they give us interest on it every year for overtaxing us.

Amount went to zero on Saturday. The message changed and said my funds will be direct deposited and to allow 10 days for processing and a ddd will generate once funds have deposited
