I faxed the information in regards to the 12c letter on February 21st. Six weeks and no updates on WMR and on transcripts says no return filed. Letter said would receive refund in 6-8 weeks from date they receive the requested information.

Has anyone seen any movement if they got the 12c letter?

I received the same message update. I checked the portal and of course no online notices. I have been filing taxes for years electronically, and this is the 1st time I have ever received such issues :(

I finally received my 12c letter requesting more information. I did not claim the premium tax credit for the entire year so my 1095-a only shows the premium tax credit for those months. The remaining months it shows zero. So I faxed my 1095-a and the tax tool form showing what the credit should be monthly. Sent the fax on Wednesday, February 21st. WMR not showing any change yet. Hopefully it will be updated to we received your information and are processing your return.

I received the same message. With the post office these days who knows how long it will take to get the letter. First time for me to receive request letter needing more information in my 54 years. Tried looking on my irs.gov account but of course there are no letters or notices there.

I got the same message this morning in the app status.
I also got a letter last 2 years in the row. They asked for W2s to be faxed to IRS. Im guessing the reason was that I asked for over the max contributions to social security funding to be returned to me. I have multiple W2 and go over the max allowed per year, which last year was $160.200 in wages.
Im guessing this is the case again this year, im sick of it! -

You would need to wait on the letter, but they could need to verify wages/dependents/etc. No real way to tell without the letter.
