My bar and refund amount went missing on 1/15/15. My return was accepted on 1/13/14 with TaxAct. I had this exact same thing happen last year and it came back up a few days later with a DDD and my approved bar showing refund amount. I’m hoping we all have that same outcome with no issues.

first post this year, have been patient so far, and will continue to be.

So far it looks like nothing of any importance has happened yet, just the early filers getting antsy. Myself, I filed with TT yesterday evening, took the 10% Amazon offer on part of my refund, and expect a refund around 2/6. Haven’t been accepted, but didn’t expect to be yet, they don’t officially open until tomorrow. It will come soon enough, and a few extra days will give me more time to figure out how to spend it (yeah, right, I have it spent twice over already).

I filed on the 15th, got accepted the 16th, should be getting my deposit by Feb 6th. There are “rumors” going around that the IRS will begin making deposits Jan 30th. I said rumors because I am not sure how true that is.

I filed early last year and I would never do it again. I was apart of the tes batch and we were put in a “back pool” meaning our returns were processed a few days after the opening date. it took the whole 21 days for me to get my return back and it had never took that long.

Mine is the same, filed 1/7 using Taxact, accepted 1/13 and 3 days later on 1/16 I lost my bars and had tax topic 152 the entire time, still do. My amount is gone too.

They will never send them out till opening day. They should have to send them, not holding them. Because if there system goes down like last year, then it will take longer.

Apparently I’m a part of the glitch. They said my return wI’ll have to be resent on 1/22.

Mine says it is still being processed topic 152 no refund amount on side. No tracking bars either.

it is highly discouraged from using your last pay stub to file. Sometimes the numbers there and on your W-2 do not match up, which can actually DELAY your refund. If you don’t mind taking a chance, go for it. But it is wisely advised you just wait for your W-2.

Last year I filed with TurboTax and was accepted early, and it actually delayed my refund. People who filed after me and were accepted after me were getting their refunds before me. This year I opted to use H&R Block online as they had the lower cost, and have not been a part of any test batches so far. I don’t expect a change until the 20th, and hopefully will get my refund faster than last year.

Hey @zandersmom what is your impression of what goes on the early test batches of returns? Do they get approved more quickly or is the deposit sent out faster?? Basically are there any added benefits to be one of the test cases?

I myself was accepted on the 16th! Woohoo! I figured that they wouldn’t begin notifying of acceptance until next Tuesday but alas , here we are! I wonder if we’ll be a part of those horror stories surrounding the early batch cases. Is it safe to say that we will be one of the first few to get our refunds back first !?

I did the same thing this time around. Someone also told me about using the last paystub and I trust her judgement. I’m a bit nervous because I’m sure a few numbers will be off due to simple accounting methods over in our HR/Payroll Department. I just couldn’t wait, so I jumped the gun!

You may not get accepted until the 20th. That is the official start up date. Some people got accepted early for a test run that IRS does every year. They do update on Sundays though but as of right now the WMR system is down . ( May be doing updates on the system its been down since last night)

Got accepted on the 16th and it shows in WMR, this is the first time I have been accepted early so im hoping this goes better than last year. I had to end up suing the irs last year just to get my refund.

I don’t think H&R Block is ever a part of the early testing batches. True? False? Anyone know? I used H&R Block two years ago and ended up a part of their major screw up with Form 8863, so opted to go with TurboTax last year. Decided to give H&R Block another shot this year due to TurboTax bending everyone over with their inflated pricing, and H&R Block offering a lower price (maybe they got their act together this time around). Anyways, if being accepted early as part of a test batch doesn’t get your refund any earlier… I’m not too worried about it.

I just filled mine with hr block and it says pending on the hr block site. It is my understanding, from what I have read, hr does not submit returns until the IRS opening date of the 20th
