IDK if this is true or not.
I know I was able to order mine on 2/4 and now we are under review as of yesterday. But IDK if we were in review before or after ordering them. And if that is the case all these people ordering them would also be under review……………Filed 2/16 accepted 1/30 was able to order transcripts (both types) on 2/4 still processing. Yesterday when we called they said we were under review >.<
Don’t lose hope 1/31’ers!! I was accepted & processing since 1/31…finally was able to order my transcripts yesterday & woke up this morning to a DDD of 2/13!! It’s finally looking like we’re getting pushed through! Good luck everyone who is still waiting! :)

I was able to order transcript last nite and woke up to a dd of 2/13
@Inshallah1 did you try to retrieve a transcript? or do you have a form that is delayed till next week? Just trying to help figure out why you got the letter? did you claim a new child this year? anything of that nature?
I filed via TaxAct.com on 1/26, and the IRS accepted the return 1/27. Status has not changed from Processing since 1/30 on either WMR or 1-800-829-1954. I called the IRS directly a couple of days ago and was told that was return was just shown as that P-word again and given the standard 21-day timeline.
Seeing that so many who have filed after have either received a refund already or at the very least, a date of Direct Deposit, I am concerned.
Some details on my return..
Standard 1040
No Children Claimed (I have claimed my two children in previous years though)
No EIC
No 8863 or other known forms that may cause delay
I don’t own a home
Really, just my wages from my W-2 and my personal info and that’s it.Two possible reasons for a hold up here though?? I did move to another state this year and change my employer. Nothing that uncommon though I would think.
My Ex, who claimed my two children this year, filed on 1/24 via Liberty Tax Service and received her refund yesterday (2/8). We have been divorced for several years.
I have read on the main board here a couple of comments about people calling and receiving a DD date from an IRS Representative while the status on WMR or the 1-800 Automated Line still shows as Processing. The person I spoke to didn’t mention anything about that though.
And one other thing.. These letters from the IRS concerning being reviewed, etc.. I haven’t received anything from them in the mail.
So what gives?? Anyone out there with a similar tale? Or maybe some info that I could use?
One other thing before I wrap this up… Does the IRS process 7 days a week now? Meaning, we will see another update on Sunday Morning, or not until Monday? Also, anyone know the specifics on what time the IRS updates each day?

Looks like I’m getting my refund!
After sitting on that message for 2 days, wmr finally went to 2 bars today (saturday), with a ddd of 2/13! I’m so happy! Now I’m gonna be a total stress-monster waiting for it to actually happen, especially since I’ve seen a few posts of people saying they did not get their refund on that date. So I hope I’m not jinxing anything by posting lol!
But anyway for those still sitting on this message, there is hope. My details:
Filed on approx 1/24, entered into wmr as accepted on 1/30, although I have reason to believe that I wasn’t “actually” accepted until 2/1. Sat on the first bar with 21 day message until 2/7, when the bar went away and went to the “date will be provided when…” message. No education credit, mfj, 2 kids (1 born in 2012), eic, no offsets, dd to a regular bank. I never tried ordering any transcripts or calling any representatives, too afraid of messing something up.Hoping to see a bunch more replies on here of good news! Good luck to all!
great news for me…woke up to the progress bar moved to approved and a ddd :-) as of 6:30 am, I have a date of 2/13. good luck to everyone this morning. I’m interested in seeing who else woke up with this nice surprise.
I have noticed that alot of people who were pulled into review have had the exact SAME tax returns the past few years! This makes me angry. Especially when you call and they tell you there are no red flags, and no letter sent out.
@ bigtimeny1…no I don’t see anything ref cp504…its seems to be a rather generic letter saying basically that I am under review and the IRS is stepping up measures to prevent fraud.
Only thing I can think that would triggering this is that I have a different employer after 7 yrs of the sameI had an offset. How can I tell if they took the whole refund? This is the message on WMR:
Your tax refund is scheduled to be issued on February 13, 2013. If you do not receive the refund by February 18, 2013, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then.
Does that mean I am going to get part of my refund? I called the offset line and it does not tell me how much has been applied or if all of it has been applied. How will I know?

yea I filled on 2/7 I know.I’m super early but I usually get my taxes back.7 days 10 max.. Food for thought my aunt filed on Monday the.5th no dd yet. But my friend who purchased a house with a nice sum for a refund had the wmr state 2/25 it should be in her account. So its kinda hard to know.what’s the method?
Is it being able to order the tax return transcript, the tax account transcript, or both that lets you know that your account has been processed and you should be expecting a dd date soon?
Well lets hope she is right theconners4!! I havent even bothered calling the IRS, but if I dont know anything , I may just end up calling myself.. I would hope that once they start processing, the ones that were accepted early and held because of the 8863, will be run through first. Who knows I may call if I havent seen any updates on mine, maybe by next Friday, but a toss up on which number to call to get a nice person lol.
Filed 2/6. Accepted 2/6. WMR showed it being accepted at 10:00pm on the 6th. I am thinking maybe a 2/14 dd date. I bet we get a dd before presidents day holiday.
I filed on 1/24, accepted on 1/26. I’ve been getting the processing message without a stus bar since about 2/4. Today I was able to order my refind transripts.
My understanding on that is being able to order the transcripts means your taxes have been processed. Idk how long after that you have to wait to get your refund…but all the same… I’m happy there’s some change.
My reccommendation is for you to try to order your transcripts everyday, so you know if it’s made any progress. You won’t get much of anywhere with IRS representatives on the phone. Believe me, I called at least once a day every day this week.
People are saying they get DD’s right after being able to order their transcripts. So, give it a shot. Sorry! It sucks for all of us this year!

Here is what I think. I think that most people on here including myself will get approved tomorrow (I know tomorrow is saturday, bare with me), and will have a dd date of 2-13. I filed on the 29th and got accepted on the 29th but been stuck in processing since. So hang in there everybody, got a feeling we are getting our money Wednesday.

I thought you couldnt even order your transcript until after the return was processed? How can they process it (allowing you to pull your transcript) and then see that you pulled your transcript and re process it? I would assume that the return was already flagged for review and just a coincidence that yours happened to be reviewed? I don;t know for sure this is just my logical thinking.
they don’t speed up the process they just let you know (I believe) that your return has been processed.
Whats the general timeline of being able to order transcripts and having the WMR status move along? I was able to order mine tonight. Does that mean I am in the clear (no review or anything) and they are all set.

Hey guys. I called the holds # and was put through to a very nice lady who told me I was not in the system AT ALL and to RE-FILE lol. Uh wth?? So I called the ext 362 number and spoke with an amazing woman who actually gave me some info. She took all of my information and put me on hold. When she came back she said they HAVE me return, I do not have to re-file. It is at a tax station and then asked me if we filed an education credit. I said yes and she said that makes sense then. She could see I was accepted on the 26th and thought that was a long time to wait but said it makes sense after I told her we had education credits. She said issues with education credits have been resolved and they are starting to process these returns. She told me I “should” have a DD next week. Obviously this is just a guess from her but still, it’s hope.
I filed 1/30 IRS received 1/31 was showing Orange bar until 2/6 and has shown “still processing “ever since. I have talked to three reps all who said I had no red flags or off sets. I just spoke to someone earlier today that said everything was fine. Received a letter today dated 2/4 saying I was under review…WMR never said any error code

I filed 1/30 , accepted 1/31. Had status bar for a few days then was ghosting on and off for a day and now I am stuck on “your return is still being processed and we will notify when deposit date becomes available” or whatever that annoying message says. I filed with 1 W-2, MFJ, EIC, Add Child Tax credit, 1099=B and schedule D with 4 dependants. Just wondering if this new updated Schedule D may be holding it up. Anyone else had to file Schedule D Capital GAins and losses?
@Julia I was thinking kind of the same thing that maybe the refund is ready but they may be trying to come up with the deposit datr with the bank or something. I did see someone post that they got their refund on 2/2 which was a Saturday. That would be nice to wake up to un the morning. I bank with Bank Of America. I wondered if anyone else out got a deposit on A Saturday this year or previous years. I can definately say from all the posts I read that WMR is not reliable.

Oh well, still got that message again today. I was so sure I’d wake up to a ddd this morning. Got my fingers crossed that I’ll see something tomorrow.
I saw a lot of people on the feed saying that even though wmr is not showing anything yet for them, they are calling and being told ddds of 2/13. I’ve also read that those that were being held up with the education credit are going to start processing on the 14th… so maybe there is some truth to the ddd of the 13th for those of us that don’t have education credit? Maybe they want to get all of us out of the way before they start tackling those?
Again, wild guess, making stuff up, but anything at this point to help me keep staying positive!
Yeah I am wondering that too, hopefully ours are put through first, and they dont forget about us… I am problem one of the very few who havent called the IRS yet.. If I havent seen any progress starting on the 18th, then I will be calling..

I too filed 1/30, accepted 1/31.I filed through HRB online. Was at first bar for a few days then went to ghosting on Wednesday off and on.Now I just get the “still processing, will provide refund date when available” my status bar is also gone too. I haven’t been able to order transcripts either. I had 1 W-2, claimed MFJ,EIC , additional child tax credit and also had to file Schedule D because I sold some Walmart stock( less than $300). I just hope that stupid schedule D isn’t holding it up. I had to wait until 1/30 to submit my taxes because that is the day the form became available. It seems from reading every ones post that things can update at anytime. I even saw where someone got the Direct Deposit on 2/2 which was a Saturday. I hope that was true. Maybe I will wake up to a big surprise tomorrow…..What are these “transcripts” and how do they speed up the process?

She just kept telling me to be patient, and giving me rebuttals to sooth me. She was saying if I’m getting the code 152, then its just processing.. WMR: Was on the first bar with the 21 day buffer up until about 5 PM today (2/8). Now I am getting the error “You may not have entered your information correctly. Please verify your personal tax data and try again.” I have logged on to WMR about 302935 times today, and just recently saw that it updates every 24 hours, and that if you try to log in to often it will just log you out so I am hoping that is the case.

So still waiting, hopefully some more info will come out. I am guessing that because it is government they will not direct deposit on Saturdays? I was military and if pay day was on a weekend we always got paid on Friday, so that is my reasoning behind that guess. Anyways thanks for the forum!
hello all I have been reading the post and when mrsdaw posted the number 18668973315 I called because I filed on Feb. 1st and was accepted Feb. 1 but I have not been able to access wheres my refund. when I called I got a nice lady that told me my refund was accepted on the 4th not the 1st and it was scheduled to be DD on Feb. 13 and no later than Feb. 25 so if you want to know the status just call.

@mrsdaw I was too started crying… my apartment was broken into a few months ago and me and my son lost everything… they even stole his under ware…so this money could help us buy our very first home… I started googling info on the letter and found out about the codes attached… went over the letter with a fine tooth comb trying to find a code but it wasn’t any… thought that was weird so I started calling… got the wait till answer and the info i stated from the hold dept… thought about what I did and the transcript thing was what I came up with… not saying I am right but if I know there is a hold cause of the delay it would stand to reason that they sent the generic letter out to cover the time it takes for processing… so as long as WMR states… processing with no code or says that I am officially under review… I’m not going to call just yet….plus the fact that every one is flooding the IRS line with I want my DD and where is my check questions I’ll just wait… Me and my lil man can ride this storm out for a little longer… praying for all of us to get our $$$
I filed with hr and block on 2-6 and federal was accepted while we were in office at 11:57am. Yesterday it had the orange bar and said processing 21 days etc. Today it had the same except topic 152 was added on the bottom. I wonder how soon we will get a dd. I am hoping for friday but it will probably be two weeks. Feb 18th is presidents day and they are closed mon and tues. They are a credit union.
I’m wondering the same I was accepted on 1/25 so I dont know what they have in store for us.
@Holly Although I can’t give you a 100% answer I would say to read both mine and royjb post, seems like in his case he actually had to get a hold removed and in my case the hold was just for testing and was already lifted.
@kay I was loosing my mind up until I hung up the phone with Ms. Garcia, I have been researching like crazy, becoming OCD with WMR and trying to order transcripts I was even reading stuff from 2009
@taxpayer if you have a hold on your return that is not related to any of the current tax delays like 8863 then I would certainly call the hold line and see what they say it’s a lot better than worrying I know it made me feel so much betterFor the meantime I think I will give my stalking ways up at least until Monday Morning lol.

Have shown processing on all tracking options since. I was able to order transcripts last night but everything still the same, no DD date.

@mrsdaw thanks for the info…I am still going to wait till something updates after the 14th I have a 8863 and a profit and loss from self employment which were delayed this year… I will keep you all posted on what happens…. I also just want to say thank you all for your help and support with out it i know I would be loosing my mind…
Here is our story so far:
Filed on the 1/16 (HRB) IRS accepted it 1/30 was able to order both transcripts on 2/4. Still said processing on 2/5 so we called. They told us everything looked fine and that it was still processing give it until 2/20 and call back. Called again yesterday to see what was going on and if we could get a DDD. They lady told us it was under review. We didn’t do anything wrong, NO letter had been sent out. No codes were given. She also couldn’t give us an average time it takes to review.
My question is: If we aren’t getting a letter, or error codes then what is going on?I highly advise everyone to call that number. I spoke with a Ms. Garcia who was a sweetheart and she was very helpful. She stated that the IRS has a new system this year and for that system they accepted a few returns as a test. [I was accepted on the 24th] Those returns accepted as a test were just that a test, by no means was that your actual acceptance date since they did not begin processing until the 30th. So the test subjects returns fully went through the system and were assigned a number and then when they opened the flood gates on the 30th they were sent back through for what they call re-sequencing. That triggered the 4464c letter. She looked over my return line by line and told me there were no red flags and that it was actually being processed she even verified my banking information to make sure there would be no hold ups when the time comes around. I thanked her so much because I have gotten nothing but jerks on the line unwilling to assist. She also stated that if you were really up for review your WMR would update to say that along with an error code. If you were accepted early I would assume maybe you are in the same category as me but it always feels better to hear that for yourself so call call call and goodluck everyone. I called today and actually got a nice rep on the first try. She checked my info and told me the small deposit I received was just my federal withholding. (Which I already figured). She then told me I technically wasn’t under review but my return was pulled because I filed my niece and she was filed by someone else last year. She said my return was in a pile and it’s a possibility it will be examined by a IRS agent within 90 days!! She said its also a possibility that they would kick it out and send out my refund but for right now my return is in some kind of retarded IRS limbo state. Long story short: I’m pretty much fucked until they decide they’re done with me

The lady I talked to was very nice. She said it COULD take the extra 7 days…but didn’t let on that it was anything serious. I went as far as asking if I needed to start making copies of all my receipts and parent payments (I have had a daycare for many many years).

I tried to call 3 times yesterday they won’t tell me nothing even called the holds department for info he was very nice said that they could only look up my info for 2011….WMR stills says this for me

I also still have not received my account transcript as of today…. one week later… maybe it will come Monday or maybe just maybe (praying) that’s what the letter about… it had no code to reference to at all…. I decided not to call until this whole delay of the 8836 form has been settled…Also after I got the letter I went flipping google search crazy and A LOT of people using TT are getting the letter and the codes on WMR… I’m just praying for good news for ALL of us…
The lady I talked to today says the updates in the processing system caused some returns to be kicked to review for no reason at all. When she looked at my account, she went line-by-line and say no codes or flags. After having me on hold for about ten minutes, she came back on the line, said she removed the hold on my refund, and placed my account back into the normal refund delivery system. She said I should be able to see my direct deposit date in a couple days.
If you have been told by an IRS agent that you are under review, or that your refund is on hold, ask to be connected to the “holds department”. They can tell you more than the regular reps, and they have the power to make changes on your account.
I filed on 2/4 and accepted on 2/4. Got a 2/12 direct deposit on wmr this morning. I used Turbo Tax but I dont think that matters. I did my daughters on HRB site on 2/4 and she had a deposit date of 2/11 on wmr.
impatientlywaiting: That coincides with what the agents where telling me. Two different agents stated I should still receive my refund in the 21 day time frame from the date it started processing on the 28th. We shall see as the 28th day if they include weekends will be the 2/17 as I know 2/18 is a holiday.

Shows 21 day message and Tax topic 152- same since 30 mins after the acceptanceI’m under review…filed the 30th, accepted the 30th as per the IRS. I just called, and was told that I’m under review, and it should only last approx. 7 more days. Same return as the past 10 years. Self Employed, 2 dep, HOH, EIC. In fact, My return is about the same as last year, and the past few years.
Ive been reading the forum here for a few days, I too efiled 1/30 accepted 1/31,,with our tax guy. Normally by now I would have had a DDD or had my money, but this year 8 days later, the WMR,IRS2go, or status line, have no idea who i am or what i’m talking about apparently, so today i called the SPEAK TO A HUMAN number, held for 22 minutes, and spoke to a really nice guy who I explained to, I think I havent been updated, because my routing number on my bank account changed but not my account number,,we were sold to FN from HSBC few months back. My tax guy should have put this on my return. So the nice CSR informed me that my return is fully processed, theres a DDD of 2/13, and that my bank info matches up with what they have, and that no problems have arrised, check my account next wed. I have no idea why the IRS has these apps, websites, phn. numbers etc. if they arent going to update people, at least acknowledge my exsistance. So, hopefully you all get the same information soon on the website, app or auto line. I’ll be waiting and checking my account. This fed government is so screwed up now, i doubt it will ever go back to the way it was, and i’m expecting it to get worse years to come. Its too far gone, we will be lucky to get returns in the future. I guess 47% of every dollar I make isnt good enough for them, theyre frothing at the mouth for more. Good luck to us all.
Okay here’s my two cents not that it really means anything on the 1st of Feb I ordered a account transcript for 2012 could not order the return transcript cause I have the education credit which as we all found out does not process until Feb 14 so How can I get a transcript on a year that hasn’t happen yet… for me anyways… what I am thinking is I received the letter because of the delay of the 8863… there is no code on the letter or the hotline or WMR….I am still and have been since the 23rd processing… I AM NOT calling cause all they do is give me the run around… My patiences is way to then right now for that… now I could be totally wrong about this theory but… I wont know for sure till next week…. I will keep you posted on what happens…

I called the above number just to be sure and I am not being held for any offsets. DDD would really ease my mind.
i don’t even wanna try and call. i know i’m gonna lose my temper and they’re just doing their job. wmr still says processing and when i call refund hotline it’s the same message. still no error code or irs ref code on wmr or hotline.
