The internet says: Many times Code 570 doesn’t require any action on your part, and the IRS is able to resolve the issue and continue processing your return and refund. Depending on the particular issue the IRS was investigating for your return, it can take between a few weeks and a few months to resolve the issue.

There’s still nothing as of this morning. The website for Maryland says they update at 10:30am daily but I’m not sure if that’s true. I emailed them again and I got a form letter back via email that my return had not yet been processed they need more processing time than usual because of their computer upgrade. Why would they schedule an upgrade for the first week of tax season? Anyone who sees their refund post or at least an update of their website, please let us know.

My ref7nd was accepted on 1/22/2024 as part of a test batch. Originally, transcript had a 2/12 as of date with mo amount showing at all. Then on the 9th, finally had the amount showing of my refund with the as of date, the 26th. Code 570,l.

I filed 1/19 and my as of date keeps changing so don’t be surprised if it changes again. My as of date went from 2/19 then 2/26. Last week it changed to 2/12. Still showing 2/12 today but I guess I will see what happens tonight to see if that changes. I still have a pending hold showing (Code 570) but that could be internal. No notices. I am not a pather.

@Valerie210 No one ever knows for sure when it comes to the IRS. Most information is pulled from our transcripts the irs releases. It is also based on past experiences.

@Jerry, not very likely to see an update before Friday. Im sure it’s happened before but I’ve personally never experienced it. The earliest I’ve seen an update was midnight (Friday “morning”).

Usually when I login to irs it says balance details $0.00 under account status. But now it’s disappeared. Anything to worry about. All transcripts are normal without 846 code. Am a pather.

I was starting to get worried myself. Filed 1/24, accepted 1/26. TT, EITC and CTC, fees taken out and it seemed to take forever to update to the PATH message. Checked yesterday morning and it updated to PATH message with topic 152. I read an article recently that said there were some “upgrades” to the WMR tool. Those changes may be making the tool act differently than it has in prior years.

The only other income I receive is from food stamps program, they load money Monthly to a card that I use for my sons and my food from the grocery store.

I don’t have any family helping financially if that’s the assumption. I was in foster care I don’t know any family other than my son. The lady who took care of me died.

Looks like if you were an early filer with CalFile, they basically threw you in the discard pile and left you to rot. Good times. Filed 1/16 hasn’t changed from received status since. People getting paid in a week but I can’t even find out if I need to provide information or anything. A lot of ID verifies are completely random, its not necessarily anything you did.

Did you make more than the HoH standard deduction of 20,800? If no, there is no reason to file HoH as it won’t benefit you in any way and is just an extra audit identifier. If you provide more than 50% of all expenses and your dependent lives with you, that would qualify you. Also as a reminder that not many people take into account, if you receive *any* assistance they take that into consideration when determining head of household.

Also I got the code 768. That is my refund amount that says credited to my account. Then I also got a code 766. That says credit to my account for 1600. That amount appears nowhere in my taxes. You can’t add 2 numbers together to get my total refund. Because that’s already showing on the 768 code. Does this mean i’m getting an additional sixteen hundred cause i’m confused
