Give these calculated dates to the taxpayer in which to receive further information. 
For example: if the letter date on CC ENMOD is March 12, 60 days from then is May 11, and 90 days is June 10. Advise the taxpayer they should receive further information between May 11 and June 10

I cannot guarantee this is right and am hoping you will change to TC 846 I’m just passing on what my research found….

896 is the last code (obamacare). The rest are basic. 150, the EIC code, wages and tips code, etc. the only code that varies from last year is the 896.

I just got off the phone with an IRS employee, and he verbally CONFIRMED with me that the first round of deposits are for this coming FRIDAY. They were released to the banks on MONDAY (also confirming my post regarding the cycle days, MONDAY = 02).

Thanks for replying. I’m just hoping that our tax debt isn’t causing the hold up. I’d figured they would just take their money and give me the rest, but even that isn’t showing up on the transcripts. What confused me is that someone posted your cycle is when your return was completed and, well, mine doesn’t look too complete, lol.

When I try to get my transcript online it tells me to call identity theft number and I called an spoke to a rep and she said it was a error message and she’s not sure why so many are getting that message but I called to do it over the phone and it says unavailable. Do any1 know when the next batch will be? I was accepted by it’s on 1/22

For me … DAY 1) no transcript DAY 2) transcript appeared highlighted but information was unavailable (showed N/A) DAY 3) all codes, including cycle code and 846 appeared.

Everyone who is freaking out… just calm down!

1. Today is the first day anyone has been able to pull their transcripts this season.
2. if you did not file prior to the 20th let alone the 12th which was the first day of early acceptance then shut it.
3. For those of you who have lost their bars and their amount, a little hint for you. After your refund has been processed and a DDD is scheduled your bars may not reappear, but your refund amount will magically reappear on the page.

I have a cycle date of 20150402 on my return transcript as well as my account transcript but where code 846 is on last years return i have code 570 currently in it’s place. I am just wondering if that is just the code that is present as things are processed before releasing because it still has the 2-16-2014 date next to it, the only difference is last years it said 846 2-24-2014 (and i got my dd on 2-10-2014) so right now sitting at 570 2-16-2014, I’m hopeful that will update to 846-2-16-2014 and be deposited on the 2nd (or friday depending on how you read the cycle dates.. that’s debatable and depends on the bank) I know i have no offsets and nothing has changed in the last year or any issues i can imagine that would hold it up unless that is just the generic… code “account action pending” that means the action will be… “its processed and ddd issued” Anyway, if anyone else would like to weigh in on that please let me know. Thanks!

@ Elle. the code 846 is essential. Without it it just refers to your “grouping”, but does not indicate any type of completion, thus no DDD.

I just had the same thing happen it freaked me out, but I called the identity theft number it gave and just got off the phone with the IRS. She said that it has been happening to a lot of people and they have been getting a lot of calls about it. It has to do with a number on the return a code that they use when processing the return, the system interchanges the number/reads it wrong and then you get that message because it’s so close to the identity fraud code. She also told me that when that happens it also means your return is still processing. She asked when I filed which was the 17th accepted on the 20th (with taxact), she checked on my return status and told me it will be available/or done processing within 2 days and that their were no problems with it~ and that the codes on my return were fine and their was not an issue with my identity/fraud and I that I should be able to retrieve my transcripts then. This probably means that WMR may update Friday for a lot of people with DDD dates of Monday if not sooner. But she made it clear that if you can not retrieve your transcripts then it is still processing. I’m just glad to know that it’s going to be completed this week, however, it does seem that they are more likely to check your return and tell you your status without hesitation if you get that fraud message, then if you just call at random.

This is something else I found in the irs manual and would confirm a MONDAY FEBRUARY 2, 2015 deposit date (which I think are sent out on Friday nights since I recieved mine on a Saturday when wmr said monday)

The TC 846 date for a direct deposit is 03/19/2012. The actual direct deposit date, as indicated by the RFND-PAY-DATE field below the TC 846, is 03/05/2012. If the direct deposit is rejected, the mailing date for the paper refund check should be between 03/19/2012 and 04/02/2012

My TC 846 date is 2/16/2015 so the actual deposit date would be 14 days earlier which is Feb. 02, 2015. Last year my TC 846 date was 2/24/2014 and i recieved my refund 14 days before that on 2/10/2014.

I’m sticking to a Monday Feb. 02nd date. Hopefully I’m right in that they will go out on Friday night…..

Mine did on Sunday. Then yesterday, it appeared. Today, I got the desired 846.

I submitted on 01/09, it was accepted on the 13th. WMR still sits at 1 bar. Hope this helps.

I can view all 2014 scripts, and I have all the usual codes, except I don’t have a refund issue code. I have cycle code 20150402. I wonder if I’ll see my money deposited or if I’ll have to wait for another update.

Yes nakita… you are correct, the numbers are the date your return was approved and you add 4 days to that and that’s the day you get your refund. I have the link to the fb. Page that explains it further…

People are getting their submission I’d code and their cycle id. Code confused. You cycle id. Will be on your transcript, not your refund confirmation (submission id. Code) you have to go to the IRS site and pull up your transcript, you can’t tell anything by the numbers you are given when you submit your return.

I have the same cycle code as everyone else of 20150402 and I am thinking the theory of the cycle code being the day your return is processed and adding 4 days to it for you DDD may be right. Out of curiosity I looked at both my boyfriend and my tax return and account transcripts from last year and it added up to that. His code from last year was 20140605 and he got a ddd of 2/12/14 and mine was 20140705 with a ddd of 2/20/14. That would have been the sixth week and fifth day for him plus 4 days=2/12/14 and the seventh week fifth day plus 4 days (because the Monday following was presidents day so didn’t count)=2/20/14 for me. This is just my thoughts, here’s to high hopes of DDD for this Friday.

My boyfriend and I filed at the same time, just minute apart. He can view his transcript , but I have no record on mines. He has school credits and dependent, I have no school , but with dependent. I filed on 1/21 – can’t even pull up the status. All I know is that it was accepted on 1/21. Called yesterday thinking the website had errors. They said 12 weeks for mine! I made like $30K, standard deduction. No idea why it would take this long :(

I think what’s confusing me is that the irs cycle # 4 should be Jan. 22-28 right? Jan started on a Thursday which is the first day of the irs week… which puts the start of the 4th cycle on the 4th Thursday in Jan which is the 22nd….
according to the cycle codes I found and the cycle codes the other person found the day could be:
IMF cycles: 02 is Monday
CADE cycles: 02 is Tuesday
CADE 2 cycles: 02 is Monday
So the 20150402 could either be Monday Jan. 26 or Tuesday Jan. 27

This just don’t make since unless these cycles are when the return was processed. I was able to see account transcript yesterday Jan 26 and return transcript today Jan 27th. Surely they didn’t send a direct deposit immediately after processing…
Am I missing something on the cycle week?
I used the previous poster copy and paste from irs manual which explains that aug. 10th 2015 is 20153203 that places Aug 10th in the 32nd cycle which puts them starting their cycle on Jan. 1st would would verify that cycle 4 is in fact jan.22-28th and 20150402 would have been yesterday or today?

So I’m getting worried that I screwed something up on my tax return. Yesterday I had n/a for all 4 transcripts but today it’s showing 2014 for Account and Wage & Income transcripts but they only list my wife and I and married filing jointly and at the bottom it says “No tax return filed”. Does this mean it’s processing? Should I be worried?

I filed on 1/8 with TT and got accepted 1/12. Usually I’m always in the first batch of refunds.

Your Cycle Code/Date should only be 8 digits. Which transcript are you looking at? You want your Account Transcript, not Record of Account.

I didn’t call the IRS. hotline I called the offset number that’s the number from people that u owe for not paying ur dues through out the yr ie. child support. basically they are saying that the hek that’s dated on the 30th of Jan they have taken their money out an if u don’t believe me i an give u my number so u an hear. but I still have no ddd from the IRS. Trust me I am doubting but being the optimistic person that I am I will just be hopeful lol

I have searched thru the irs manual and this is what I have found as far as the cycle codes:

CADE/CADE 2 cycle dates will carry an additional two digit field to indicate the day of the week processing occurred. The cycle date will post in a YYYYCCDD format. IMF accounts will be signified by a 08 in the DD field or the field will be blank.
CADE days of the week will be signified by:

01 = Monday

02 = Tuesday

03 = Wednesday

04 = Thursday

05 = Friday

06 = Saturday

07 = Sunday

08 or blank = IMF

Example:

A TC 846 in CADE cycle “20052303” indicates processing occurred Wednesday of the 23rd cycle in year 2005

CADE 2 days of the week will be signified by:

01 = Friday

02 = Monday

03 = Tuesday

04 = Wednesday

05 = Thursday

Example:

A TC 846 in CADE 2 cycle “20120503” indicates processing occurred Tuesday of the 5th cycle in the year

So, I’m not really trying to dispute the OP or rain on anyone’s parade, since I don’t claim to even remotely understand how everything works here, but the DD portion of the cycle code (YYYYMMDD) – the 02 in our case – seems to refer to Monday, not Friday.

I agree that the IRS week is Thursday through Wednesday (I read that somewhere else on the IRS site) skipping weekends, but according to the below from the IRS site, it suggests the 02 refers to Monday – NOT Friday, 01 is Friday.

Thoughts? Maybe I’m misinterpreting the IRS site.

IMF Daily Processing

IMF processing will be daily except on weekends. Some transactions post to IMF on a daily basis as opposed to during the weekly cycle.

IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined:

01 = Friday
02 = Monday
03 = Tuesday
04 = Wednesday
05 = Thursday

Note: This date is the equivalent of the Cycle Date in IDRS and reflects the date the transaction is posted by IMF. See Exhibit 3.30.123-2, Enterprise Computing Center – MTB Posting Cycle Calendar.

Example: IMF daily transactions balanced and released by the campus on Monday, August 10, 2015 will have a posting cycle of 20153203.

I’m really glad to hear that you received a DDD. That’s great! I was only stating that the IRS has UP TO 21 DAYS to issue your non-problematic, non-offset refund from the Cycle Date. If you get it early, that is amazing. Go you.

Are you sure your number is 20150224? Was that a typo? Your Cycle number should be right next to the date is says your refund was processed.
