        Good Morning,

        UPDATE**

        I dropped off my paperwork to the IRS building this morning instead of faxing it in that way I know that they received the information. I will update again once I hear from my TA

          E-filed on 1/20/15. Accepted right away. No bars, ever. 20150404 date. Not sure what that means. Got a TA. She had me send my pay stubs in. She said she sent everything to them. Still no bars. W2’s and paystubs match. Talked to TA again – boy was she mad I called her again, not on my “scheduled” date – and she said the delay is “Social Security has not sent my payroll & withholding information to the IRS yet.” At first she said they didn’t match, and then she said they did. What?! Never had a problem with refund before. Filed on the first day because I need it – gotta move from my current place! Tax Transcript shows only two of my employers, so far. TA says she is scheduled to call me on 3/25/15. How can I be kept in limbo with nothing happening on my return/refund and nothing I can do about it for all this time? My TA doesn’t even want to talk to me? I certainly did nothing wrong and my income is my income and obviously correct. The withholding verification? Not really my fault, and I’m sure it’s correct, too. Help? Anything I can do at all? This worries me night and day.

              I have the same date as you do for my refund issue date. Do you know if that’s when they will physically send the check or is it possible they’ll send it before?

                @mosstrap oh I know!! Now let’s just wait and see if we get an actual dd. I am very skeptical of anything until I see it.

                      How does the cp53a influence transcripts updating? I know some people are daily and some are weekly. Does this mean I will only see updates to transcripts on Fridays, or since they are just sending a paper check, can it be any time?

                      Im about at the end of my rope with these people- this is ridiculous.

                          It is! I don’t live in a community property state either. I wasn’t given any explanation, just that I could file a claim to have the IS dept of the state recheck our return. I’m hoping they can give me something. We both made income last year – I made way more than him, since I worked the full year vs him working around half year.

                                Hey Bart. I have a question.I filed on 1/20 and was accepted the same day. I idverified myself on 2/24. 3 days later my account transcript updated from all zeros to 150 806 570. I know the 570 is a refund hold which I am assuming is from the idverify. Anyway I talked to an irs rep last thursday on 3/12 and she told me that the hold is scheduled to be automatically released on monday 3/23 and then I should get my ddd. Then the next day on friday 3/13 the as of date changed from 3/16 to 3/30. Now one week later which is today 3/20 my as of date changed again from 3/30 to 4/6. Now I know the as of date don’t mean anything, but do you have any idea as to why my as of date would change 2 weeks in a row. Usually it changes every 2 weeks. And should I call back even though the lady told me that the hold is scheduled to be released on 3/23. Thanks in advance.

                                    That is really scary! My husband made all of the income this year, and 3k of the return went towards my student loans, we don’t live in a cps so I have been assuming we would get back some if not all of the return. I REALLY hope this doesn’t happen, was there an explanation given at all as to why they took all of it? Did you both make income this year?

                                        I filed on Feb 28. Received my Fed refund on March 11. We received the letter saying our State of Louisiana return is under review and will take 90 days. In my opinion this is a ploy by the state to use my money for free for 90 days because they have mismanaged the budget. Oil and Gas taxes are falling way short of their planned input to the budget. Therefore they are scamming the citizens to offset their lack of planning. I will demand interest on the use of my money for 90 days. E-filing is supposed to take 21 days. On the 21st day they send me the letter. Plus, the postmark on the envelope is March 16, but the letter is dated March 19, thereby gaining an extra 3 days for the state since the letter states 90 days from the date of the letter.
                                        I am not standing for it.

I called the irs today to see if there was any progress and she said it’s still waiting to be reviewed. April 9th is the end of my sixty days so there’s no telling when I’ll get it.

I’m not sure about this… It says I don’t need to do anything but what are they doing??

                                                    Not sure. I called to ask about it, and the rep couldn’t tell me why. I explained our situation so she put in a claim for the actual IS dept of our state to re-check our return. I thought I’d at least get my portion back.. isn’t that the point of filing IS?! I hope your wait isn’t too much longer.

                                                    @Carmelia
                                                    Looks like your IS is still processing – that’s what the 570 code means. All the other codes are normal. The processing date and the cycle code don’t really mean much when you file IS (at least from what information I can find) but generally those are the dates you should expect your refund to be done. Right now you’re waiting for a 971 (if you mailed in your IS form) or an 846 (refund issued) code. I think there is another one for what portion your offset will be.. but I don’t recall what that one is. Check you transcript online mid-late morning on Fridays, as that’s when it appears that our transcripts are updated.

                                                    @Chris

                                                    I have no idea – hopefully someone else here has some knowledge of that issue?

                                                    @Brook

                                                    What codes are on your transcript? They mean something, but it’s not always the same as what another person’s means, even with the same codes. They can give you an idea of what’s going on.

                                                      Bart, I wrote before to you weeks ago. My summary: filed on 1/10, bars disappeared on 2/2. ID verify on 2/9. 5 weeks after 3/5 received a 4664c that my tax is under review. Immediately I proceed to obtain a TA I sent earnings w2 paystub and my economical hardship letter. She called me confirmed that received docs and will call me next 3/31. 4664c says review will take 60 days but with TA I think that time will shorten to 3-4 weeks. What is your opinion about TAs help or not to shortens the time? I sent my w2 and paystub from my employer the refund corresponds to me and my family. How many weeks would take it? Thanks

                                                            My story

                                                            So we efiled with Jackson Hewitt – accepted same day 1/28/2015. Went home realized all income was not accounted for so we had to amend return(which I had to mail in). We had a DDD of 2/11/15 but I was shocked (nice word) to find out that all of our refund would be sent to my husband’s student loans. So instead of just filing an amended return (which caused us to owe money back to the IRS) I also had to file the injured spouse.

                                                            I am being patient but it has been 8 weeks since we Efiled and 5 weeks since the IRS in California received my Injured spouse claim and amended return. I called the other day and I was told that it would take 12 – 16 weeks (LOL) before all of my paperwork is processed but I called back and a different representative told me 6 – 8 weeks. We will see who is telling the truth but I am praying that we will see a paper check in 3 weeks.

                                                            I live in Ohio – not a community property state so hoping that they only keep his “portion” to pay back on his loans.

                                                            Tanya, why did they keep some of the return if the loans are you husbands?

                                                              Alright so who else filed/ was accepted in January and is still waiting. I got s letter not too long ago that told me to do nothing but wait. I’m starting to wonder if I’m the only early filer left. Was anyone else told to just wait? And if so have you heard anything or gotten anywhere?

                                                                I received a letter today that even with the IS filed, that they will be taking the entire state refund towards my husband’s student debt. I was so excited last week when it updated online and said we were going to be issued our entire amount, because I spoke with the state at the beginning of the month and they said it was taking longer because we filed IS and that they were processing how much, if any, to take out for his debt. :/ I guess that’s just under $3K less that we have to pay back now, but I wouldn’t have paid someone $300 to file for me if all my refunds would be taken anyway. Praying for good news tomorrow – and for all of you!

So therefore, I have to fax over my wage verification W2 form and file a corrected tax return because I received my unemployment tax return after I filed. I am going to personally go to the IRS building tomorrow that way I have no discrepancies and I can attempt to get this handled and my money in my possession a hell of a lot faster. Espcecially with tomorrow being Friday I do not want to wait until Monday to hear anything new.

To figure out the correct fax number you will need your File Location Code (FLC) which are the first two numbers in your DLN (14 digit number on your 12C letter) Match up you FLC with the location and then you have your accurate fax number! Here is the link to explain this http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/6209-section4-2012.pdf Thank you @Diana!!

                                                                            I filed on 1/20 and had a ddd of 2/11 that came and went with no deposit, on 2/12 I got the 1121 code on WMR. My transcripts had the following codes… 766,768,846,841. I did call the offset line and my spouse had an offset so I thought maybe that was what was delaying my refund however I didn’t have any other codes after the 841. I sent in an injured spouse form and it was updated as received on my transcript last Thursday with a date of 03-03-2015. Do you have any insight on when I might see my refund? I have called the IRS a few times but they just tell me I am in review. This is also the first year filing with married and with my son.

                                                                            Thanks!!

                                                                              Well I was a sign to advocate on 3-5, but my advocate didn’t call me until 3-9. I faxed over everything she needed on 3-10. Now when I spoked to her on yesterday to see if she received everything she told me yes she said if she needed anything else she would let me know. So, I apparently if the advocate doesn’t need anything else the next step would be getting our money. But, she did tell me after faxing all my information it would only take a week to put my money back into the system. From what I heard the taxpayer advocate has 30 days to get your money, so your advocate will give you a date to when he or she will be calling you back like my advocate told me she will call me back on or before 3-30. What I have also noticed is those people who tax returns get pulled for ever reason those are the ones who will see the updates and also those who direct deposit was rejected because of wrong account number. Other people like us I have notice their advocate will let them know their mail date. Now some people have said that the transcript will update for us but not WMR. So, I don’t know how true.

On WWR, I keep getting the standard…your refund is still being processed…a refund date will be available, blah, blah. I cannot for the life of me get through to the IRS for a real person…any ideas of what I should do? I’ve always filed, have the same info on my filings…haven’t moved, etc. I’m so picking sick of this, I can’t sleep…

But just like the most of people here, WMR bar has gone off around 02/15 w/ just generic message since then. I’ve never had any code on WMR nor rec’d any mail from IRS. I had no transcript until this Monday which I was only able to see WAGE & INCOME for 2014 – others are still N/A. Even for the wage & income, I only can see mine, not my wife’s W2 information.

                                                                                          Also just now, I checked WMR again(after my wife’s transcript log in has locked out), and the screen said it can not verify my tax data & asked me to verify few things – approximated filing date & if I’ve filed by electronically or by mail. After I’ve answered the questions & submitted, the next screen said still can not verify & to check w/ tax preparer or software company, and to verify if I’ve received accepted e-mail(which I’ve rec’d from TT a day or two after filing date). So, I’ve logged out & re-submitted, and now it went back to the generic message – Your return is still being processed….

I’m actually about 1-2 weeks behind yall, though, because most of yall already contacted tax advocate #. since faxing over required info, has there been any additional info? updates? did they say how long it would be, or what next step would be, after all info was gathered?

I got this letter dated 3/11 and it say 60 days before I could call. I have been hearing that people have not been getting their refunds if they got this letter. Has anybody received their refund yet?

But when I check today I see my wage transcript has updated with my W2 and one of my husband W2. I did have to ID verift 4 weeks ago. Does this mean someone is working on my return. Also, my employee told me a request was sent to verify income. My TA or the rep I spoke with never mentioned i was under review. I just need some hope are at least a little insight if whats going on

Received my federal within a week. NJ still no refund. From Jan 26 till Feb 27 online refund status said no record on file. But yet I have email that says it was accepted . On Feb 27 it updated to that my refund was being processed. It has stayed on that since. As of today March 18 it still says the same thing. My son filed 2 weeks after me and has gotten both back already. I haven’t gotten anything in the mail requesting info. from me. I emailed them and they cant give me any info. I was pretty abrupt in the email. You go onto the online inquiry and they say that electronically filed emails are processed with in 3 weeks. I have tried and tried to call but they say due to high volume calls will not be answered thank you and disconnects. Its been 8 weeks this is bull.

Do you think she really released my refund or should I call back?

Spoke with someone and gave all my info regarding my delayed tax return. Lady provided me with a 5 digit pin # and told me she was transferring me to 877-275-8271. I then spoke with someone and provided my 5 digit pin he gave me and he was able to pull up my information. explained my hardship(s) – eviction & electric disconnection – and he took the information down and stated a tax advocate would be contacting me on 3/23.the advocate i spoke with also provided me with this ref #: 5965010. and gave me this phone #:

Two weeks after that I called again and they said a letter had been mailed. I finally got a letter March 13th, I had to send in my w-2 and 1099s to verify how much my withholding was. The letter said it would take 6-8 weeks from when they receive my response to the letter for me to get my refund. So frustrating. My income hasn’t changed in the past 10 years.

                                                                                                                                                      Accepted Feb 22 (filed through Jackson Hewett) and never had any bars, and it’s said nothing but “We have received your tax return and it is being processed” since I first checked on the 6th. My codes on the transcript are 150 and 806 with a cycle date of 20150805 — should have my refund by now. But for some reason the “tax return filed” date on the transcripts kept changing. The first time I checked the transcript on the 10th it said it was filed on March 12th, which was odd because it wasn’t even the 12th yet. Then on Monday, it changed to saying it was filed on the 16th. Again, that’s wrong — it was accepted electronically on 2-22. Those dates don’t make sense, and the dates changing makes even LESS sense.

                                                                                                                                                      I half wonder if my return is sitting on someone’s desk and they keep changing the date to cover their butts because they’re in a backlog.
