I had an accepted date of 2/5, and was accepted within 5 minutes of submission. Yesterday, my file was sent to review (all bars missing), and today, I ended up with my ddd date of 02/18/2015.

Don’t get discouraged and be patient. Your time will come. The amount of your refund does not matter as I got over 4k.

Things are about 3 days slower then last year.

Here is my situation again for anyone who hasn’t read it.

filed and was accepted on 1/21 and had bars for 5 days. Since then my bars are gone and I get the “We are still processing” thing. Transcripts give me the identity theft message. My husband is exactly the same. I called the IRS last week and was told nothing was wrong as far as the identity theft and that transcripts load after 14 days.

I just got off the phone with the IRS and was told as of 2/2 there was an error of some sort found (she couldn’t tell me what it was) and that my return would take up to 8 we TO BE RESOLVED and then possibly another 6-8 weeks to be released. I could have lost my mind when she told me this however I remained calm because she was so nice.

So now I’m wondering is this the generic line they are handing us or is it really going to be May before I get a refund. I’m beyond fed up at this point.

the same happened to me i filed 1/26 accepted 1/26 few days later both status bars and tax topic 152 gone been like that ever since cant get ahold of my transcripts or anyone from the irs. I think I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that my return will be in my bank sometime in May. I filed and was accepted on 1/21 and had bars for 5 days. Do they count business days or every day ? I still can not get transcripts for either of us.

If anyone who works for the IRS is reading this. Communication is key here. Many of us depend on this money every year. Send a letter or put information on the website. The anxiety it causes people to just not know is unfair.

You need to check your transcripts to see if you have any new codes. I have a 841 code and no other codes….it means refund was cancelled and it seems that means that they have to re-issue it but since most of us are weekly accounts, I am n ot sure if we will have to wait an entire week or not.

Other people got other codes, which means they are in review or some other issue.

Called IRS yesterday and was given NO answers concerning my 570/971. Was told to wait 45 DAYS AFTER FEBRUARY 23rd!!! He said if I didn’t hear anything by then to call back. So I called again today and pretended that I had never called before, the woman was a little more helpful… She said that my file was “under review” but that it did not say why?!?!
She said that I should get a letter in the next couple weeks telling me what to do and that if anything on my transcripts change to call back!!!

The Taxpayer Advocate told me I’d be receiving a call today from a case worker, Friday 2/13. When I didn’t receive a call by 3:30 PM, I called the Advocate to find out why I hadn’t received a call. I was told, “Case workers are only available Monday through Thursday.” Then why tell me I’d receive a call on Friday from one?

They told me they found out it is, indeed, an IRS system error… Then told me I need to mail my 1040 form (which the rep even said she was looking at on the computer screen), and that it should take, “2-4 weeks to straighten out,” after they receive the copies I mail them. That’s the SAME amount of time the IRS said they needed, WITHOUT me sending any further copies of my 1040 to them.

I asked why I needed to print and send the exact same thing they already had, and was just told, “We need that.” Common sense = They’re looking at it, why do they need a second copy? I said I’d send it right away, if they could just tell me where to send it. “Oh, no, sir. We’ll be sending out a letter telling you where to send it to. You have to wait until you receive that letter.” WHAT?

OK… “All I want to do is get this taken care of as quickly as possible.”

“Please hold, I’ll transfer you.”

Transferred.

Completely different story. “It’s a system error, and we’re doing everything we can to get it taken care of as quickly as possible… No, why would you think you had to send us a copy of your 1040?… Let me transfer you.”

Transferred. AGAIN.

“I’m sorry, sir, but case workers are only available Monday though Thursday… Call this number…”

“Whose number is that?”

“The case worker assigned to you.”

“But, I thought you said case workers weren’t in on Fridays?”

“That’s correct, sir.”

“Then what good is that going to do me?”

“Is there anything else I can assist you with today?”

Bart called diversify at 7 am There was a hold. I was asked several questions like a credit bureau would ask. The agent said she had released the hold and my return should be going back to processing. 6 weeks wait. Thank you for all your kind advise.

Filed w/TT 1/29, accepted same day. IRS accepted 2/2. I lostt all my bars in wmr sometime early last week. My transcripts say a negative account balance (the refund) cycle code 20150505 but no 846 code.
I called the IRS and all the woman said she doesn’t see a problem with the return, no hold code. Its pretty much in limbo.
Any ideas?

Make sure you have the 846 code.
If you do then you should have it by 2/18 which is Wed.

I made a little progress.

As stated previously, I filed 2/6 and it was accepted within an hour. Viewed wmr that same day and it said accepted as well.

I called the IRS for another issue and the woman advised it was actually received 2/9. I haven’t been able to get transcripts online or over the phone since I filed with the last I checked being last night before bed.

I called 5 minutes ago and was able to order 2014 account transcript but still cannot get one online because of ID theft from 2011. Not sure what this means but it’s a little progress :)

From what i have been seeing it looks like everyone with a 20150605 code should update tonight with a DDD of 2/19/15. People with a 20150603 DD is 2/17 and people with a 20150604 DD is 2/18. Fingers crossed for 2/19/15!!!

I received a letter from the irs today stating that I am under review. Filed 01/29 and accepted right away. I claimed the AO credit, which is probably the reason for the review. Any idea how long this process actually takes? The letter says not to call until 60 days from the date of the letter. Do I really have to wait this long?

I had mine DD to my walmart money card and still haven’t received them and no one can give me any answers, I also cannot get ahold of anyone at the irs to ask what could be going on. I did nothing wrong but they stopped processing cause they thought i was a victim when i wasnt the agent put a note to put it through to finish since i confirmed everything was right and of course she gave me the 6-8 week shpeal. Good luck everyone. I had no transcripts or updates after being accepted 1/30.

I have been through this 2 years ago and it only took me a week to get my refund after ID verify ! My cousin also took about 6 days after verifying. The 6 weeks in a window frame to keep us from calling so much in between the wait. I am going through it again. I’m sure it will only take up to 7 days. I’m not worried done it and been there.

That’s great news @patientlywaiting15. I’m sure you will see it by tomorrow morning if not sometime this evening. I have seen ppl say theirs hit their account as late as 9 or 10 pm. I switched banks to Huntington since last year, so I have no idea how long they will take on their end.

@Nick from what I have seen on the forums 846 means “refund issued”. Are you looking in the column titled “codes”? My codes are 150, 766, 768, and 846.

Simple 1040, accepted 2/4, still on bar on WMR
Every time I try and check transcripts I got as message saying call the IRS identy protection unit at a 1 800 number. Talked to them 4 times, every time told there are no flags on my identy and they have my taes from 2/4. That they just have not been processed. That the message I read is same one everyone gets if refund not processed.

Does everyone get same message if checking transcripts before refund processed? Anyone else get the same message or called IRS on this issue?
I am very frustrated and told have to wait the 21 days…

I’m not really sure about the whole transcript thing. I see some people say it means something and others say it doesn’t. I have not even tried to look at them.

You will have to answer questions to prove your identity. They will ask you the purpose for getting transcripts and you will choose federal taxes. If all 4 boxes have 2014, your taxes are complete. Click 2014 in the record of account transcript box. The cycle and other codes are found near the bottom of page 1.

Hi Bart…I filed my taxes on 1/20 and was accepted 1/21. I had the healthcare penalty so I know that delayed my processing. I finally got a DDD date on 2/6 for 2/11. I still have no refund, nothing on SBBT, but on the WMR it says sent. I checked my transcripts this morning and I had code 841- refund cancelled but WMR still says sent. I called the IRS and they said im under a 60 day review because it looks like theres been some kind of identity theft or something like that. I’m freaking out.

So I could finally see transcripts today with an as of march 2 date.
Until yesterday I could see them with a date of as of feb 16th. I had called in and verified my identity last week and was told to wait 6 weeks.

sebastian no it actually can delay it and stop the refund from being issued that has happened to another person.. and delayed his over a week even though he has the 846 refund issued code. please call the hotline and verify that it says no offsets

Jacqueline well it all depends on what the notice is of its like a 4464c notice then expect 6-8 weeks if its for id veryify it can be 2-6 weeks and so on…. you need to find out what notice was being sent to you

@Jac – Well that is disappointing to say the least. I spoke with a gentleman who said they would be sending me some paperwork in the mail first and once I respond then ey would send me a check. Sounds like I won’t be getting one for a good while. I tried having it direct deposited on my Ealgreens prepaid card and according to the irs, the bank rejected the deposit. It’s very frustrating that this is happening to do many people his year.

Has anyone experienced this before or already and received their check in the mail?

Exact same as some of you, cycle 20150404 with codes 570 and 971, I called on the 20th day (Monday) and was told that I should be receiving a letter any time, it had been mailed. He said the letter just states there is no action needed from me at this time and I should hear by APRIL 2nd!!! WOW, if they were working on it, why so long? I would received a letter stating what I need or my refund. I’ve been at the same address and same filing status for 5 years. I had an additional dependent is the only change. This is way beyond frustrating.

I filed and was accepted on 1/20. On 2/9 I received a letter about the 1095-A and 8962 forms and faxed them in the next day. I don’t know how long to wait before I should call to check the status and see if received my fax. Does anyone know if a Tax Advocate would be able to help in this situation (with hardship)? This has been so frustrating. I have never had to wait more than 7-10 days for my refund.
