I filed on 2/6, was received the same day and approved on 2/10. Today (the 24th) make 10 business days since I filed and nothing. I called and It turns out there was a $109 overpayment from unemployment over a year ago that I wasn’t aware of so they were taking the $109 from my refund. What this does is automatically trigger a paper check to be sent instead of the direct deposit I had set up when I e-filed. The rep I talked to on the phone said that it could now be 2-3 weeks from the approval date until i get my check in the snail mail and I will not be getting a direct depot from the state of California at all. It could be as late as March 3rd until I have the check in hand and another 1-2 days after that for it to clear once I deposit it in my bank. This BS happen to anyone else?
Anyone file on 2/21/ 2014 and got it accepted? I did check, where’s my refund this morning and nothing yet.

I called the irs today am and they told me that im under a review that a letter was dated 2/20 to be sent home, Supposedly i need to provide extra info on my taxes BUT i was finally able to access my transcript account today early afternoon and this is what it says…

cycle 20140803 – date3/10/2014 amount $0Me too! Return accepted on Feb. 3. I have been stuck in “received and processing” for about 10 days. I can order a transcript–but no refund date provided and it says my return was received March 3, 2014?! The same date is provided under processed.
When I called, they said my account required further review, but there are no flags. Add a week to the 21 days (Which they claim started on the 5th).
This is ridiculous. I have never had this happen. We got out state return a week ago….
i called them all she said was it shouldn’t be too much longer and it changed because the refund is being processed.
mine just changed to that too! i’m wondering whats going on.
There were articles on the web. Just google Louisiana Tax Refund under news. My status just changed from “pending approval” to “Your return has been received but processing has not been complete”. What does this mean? It’s going back to a previous status.
acceoted 2-4-14 and still nothing.. both fed and state still say still processing.
I think you guys have it the only difference we have is my wmr posted the dd 2/26 on Friday.i was accepted the 17 and my transcript cycle date is 201408025 is it possible to get it today

I was wondering if anyone has got there refund on a western union prepaid master card? I filed on
2/7 accepted on 2/8 approved on 2/20 with DDD of 2/24! So I have been reading a lot about people using prepaid cards and then have to verify before they get there money! Also heard WU prepaid can hold your money for 7-10 days but this is only if the irs deposits your money a day early or days after! I don’t understand so need to know if anyone has used this card and what kind of luck they had let me know! And I will update when I get my DD! and if I had to go through anything!This is my first year using an IP PIN to file my taxes. I didn’t know I was a victim of identity theft, they sent me a letter informing me of this. My returns were rejected several times using the Pin they issued me. They gave me another Pin to use and I used a different software program to file and it was finally accepted 02/02/2014. The wmr tool only says a date will be provided when available. Today makes 21 days……. I’m not sure what to expect………………What’s going on?
I received an under review letter that says I don’t need to do anything. It says I will know something by April 17th. I filed on 01/31 and was accepted on 02/03. What’s the cause of this?

My return was accepted 02/05 with a DD date of 02/20 for $1372. I checked WMR later and it said I had a tax obligation and my new refund is $1156. No deposit in my account yet. I checked WMR yesterday (02/21) and the Refund Sent tab was highlighted. Now, there is a msg saying I have an offset. Will my refund be the $1156 or will more be deducted? And when can I expect my direct deposit? Thanks in advance…Does anyone have a ddd, or a processing date or an expected refund date for a minnesota state return?

Filed 2/6 and accepted the same day. Still on one bar. No DDD in site. 2/12 people are getting dates already?! That’s soooo wrong!
My ddd date of 2/26/14 showed up today as well and I had cycle code of 20140805 as well… Yay

A quick update, refund has been approved and DDD of 2/26/2014 is showing up on WMR.
Also note that the cycle calendar posted by Ray is 100% correct. I was just trying to figure our how to decipher the cycle codes for myself. ;)
Jill- all of us with 20140805 cycle dates have that. I had it in previous transcripts for prior years as well and it had nothing to do with the ddd, even though it appears as it does.
We should see our money on 2/26/2014. :)Does anyone know why the transcript would show a Cycle Code 20140805 and a refund issue date of 3/10/14? If I am understanding this correctly the refund should be arriving next wed. according the Cycle Code. So confusing!
I filed on the 10th. My federal says still processing and my state says return processed however your refund has not been approved. Anyone else have this problem?
Filed 2/6, received by the IRS the same day. It is now the 21st and I’m still on the first orange bar and processing. That’s 15 days of zero status change, zero DDD, zero $ and zero answers.
They just reported that they will start releasing tax refunds next Friday 2/28
My question is I had an offset from 2010 for taxes owed they updated my 2010 transcripts today but not my 2013 transcripts I can veiw all transcripts and the cycle code on the 2010 is 20140805 and a date of march 10, 2014 but the cycle on my 2013 says 20140705 and a date of march 3, 2014 would like any insight if rather they will update my 2013 or just my 2010?
I e-filed on 01/31/2014 and at some point the wmr stated that my refund was sent on 2/11/2014 but I never got the dd. Now wmr only showing “we have recevied your refund and it is being processed”. I am confused as well because it said sent then I never received my refund. I am so frustrated because it was not like this last year. My cycle is 20140604 and still no refund. I printed my account transcript and it has future dates and I don’t understand it.

Ok, I did some more digging and I need to correct a few things!
1.) The first week DOES include the first “half week” of January.
2.) I believe the cycle date refers to when the return is going to be processed.
3.) As per the IRS manual: “IMF computes this field as the posted cycle date PLUS four business days for Direct Deposit refunds; posted cycle date PLUS six business days for Paper Check refunds.”
So, the cycle date 20140805 would mean that the return is processed on 2/20/2014 and the actual monetary return would be the cycle date PLUS 4 business days. Thus, the return should be scheduled for 2/26/2014. (Which is almost essentially the same thing as I posted before but I think that this is a more correct way to interpret cycle dates.)
Again, my interpretation could be totally wrong so don’t rely solely on my thoughts!
I filed my taxes with TurboTax, as I have for the past 8 years. When I use WMR, my bar says return was accepted and I should receive my refund within 21 days. When I check the status of my return through TurboTax, it shows me a DDD of 3/7. But below the DDD information, TurboTax shows this little chart that shows people who’s returns were accepted the same day as mines (2/15) and that already 59% of the users have already received their refund. I already looked at the transcript from the IRS and the date they give me is 3/10.
Has anybody receive their return that was accepted on 2/15? Any progress at all?

I was doing some research trying to understand how the cycle codes work. I found this page and found a portion of the IRS manual that seems to pertain to cycle codes.
“IMF Cycle Date is a daily cycle designated by an eight digit number indicating the year, the two digit cycle number and the two digit number indicating the day of the week (YYYYWWDD). The following values for DD are defined: 01 = Friday, 02 = Monday, 03 = Tuesday, 04 = Wednesday, 05 = Thursday.”
My cycle code is: 20140805. Assuming I understand this correctly and I am reading the right portion of the IRS manual, this would mean that I should see my refund in year 2014, 8th week of the year, on the 5th day of the week. (February 27, 2014) I am also assuming that WEEK 1 begins with the first FULL week of January and does not include the “half-week” at the very beginning.
Unfortunately, I cannot yet confirm this as my WMR still only shows one bar. Perhaps others who have received their refund can confirm that this is accurate. I will update once I have received a DDD on WMR. Hope this helps!

Got 20140805 when will I get my money. Getting frustrated
I filed on 1/29 and TT said I was accepted on 1/30, I have been on the no bars showing only processing for about a week and 3 days now, at first it didn’t have my refund amount, then early this week that popped up. I called the IRS yesterday and spoke with a person who said my return wasn’t actually accepted until the 14th and to only rely on that date. She told me to wait 21 days from that day to call again if it has not gone through by then. So now Im looking at approximately waiting until march 7 for my return. So anyone else stuck there is hope, I think they are just really behind and aren’t admitting it.
The irs accepted my return on Feb 4th and I am still showing in process on WMR. I checked my transcripts and only 2013 account transcript is show and has cycle code 20140805 . Has anyone received their refund that has this code?
Mine still hasn’t freaking updated. Still says processing and I filed on the 30th. I did my mom’s taxes 5 days later and she has her state already.

I filed on 1/31 and have had this status for over 2 weeks now!!! Everyone else I know that has filed received their returns within 10 days! ;(
I filed mine through their website and whenever I call it states that no return has been received for me, but when I log in, it shows that it has been processed. I’m not sure what is going on with them. Hope that helps.
