Path lifts Thursday so we’ll see updates then
Checked the state comptroller and got this message,
Congratulations, we have received your income tax return information for tax year 2022! It was processed in our office on 2/22/2023.
If you signed up for direct deposit, you should expect your payment within the next business day. If you asked for a paper check, you should expect your payment in your mailbox approximately five business days after the processed date.Midnight Thursday hopefully we should start updating.
Checked at 1040 still getting the same message. The state comptroller Facebook page is saying refunds will start going out later this week in the order they were received.
Checked on my tax account online and there wasn’t a letter sent, so I requested another one. We’ll see if I actually get one this week. My guess is they will start sending after the 21 days, but I need mine *now* . Got no time to wait months for my refund.
I’m going to calculate how much exactly I need to pay a year and have that taken out of my pay. No more giving the government my hard earned money to sit on. It’s not like they give us interest on it every year for overtaxing us.I called the 2/9 and the released my funds. Amount went to zero on Saturday. The message changed and said my funds will be direct deposited and to allow 10 days for processing and a ddd will generate once funds have deposited

Hopefully I will get an update by Friday.The internet says: Many times Code 570 doesn’t require any action on your part, and the IRS is able to resolve the issue and continue processing your return and refund. Depending on the particular issue the IRS was investigating for your return, it can take between a few weeks and a few months to resolve the issue.
My Where is my refund Status Changed from ( still being Processes, to Path Act message ) ( According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit!! What does it Mean? I Have 570 Tax Code on my Transcript Without Notice Code
Accepted 1/19 and was told the same thing that letters aren’t even mailed until 21 days after opening. I don’t get it either!
If you have a bunch of 1099 type filings that can jack it up, the dark side of gig work.

This is a first, anyone ever get this message?
My ref7nd was accepted on 1/22/2024 as part of a test batch. Originally, transcript had a 2/12 as of date with mo amount showing at all. Then on the 9th, finally had the amount showing of my refund with the as of date, the 26th. Code 570,l.
I personally have been an 05 one year, and was a daily…not a weekly. So, it IS possible to update daily with an 05.
Mine did the same. All good codes on my transcript and wmr updated to path msg. So wondering what that could mean?
Please post if you already received your id verification letter so those of us that are waiting can know when to expect it!!
Exciting week pathers! We finally start getting our DDD’s on Friday via transcript updates!
I filed 1/19 and my as of date keeps changing so don’t be surprised if it changes again. My as of date went from 2/19 then 2/26. Last week it changed to 2/12. Still showing 2/12 today but I guess I will see what happens tonight to see if that changes. I still have a pending hold showing (Code 570) but that could be internal. No notices. I am not a pather.
Just curious if you get your refund any faster if you pay your tax preparer up front, or have the fees taken out of your refund? Or does this even have any impact on how quick you get your refund?

@Valerie210 No one ever knows for sure when it comes to the IRS. Most information is pulled from our transcripts the irs releases. It is also based on past experiences.
@Jerry, not very likely to see an update before Friday. Im sure it’s happened before but I’ve personally never experienced it. The earliest I’ve seen an update was midnight (Friday “morning”).Has anybody with cycle code 05 ever seen there transcript update on days other than Friday/ Saturday???
Same boat… file 1/30..accepted same day (pather)… transcripts are still blank. WMR 1 bar. Why are they taking so long updating Transcripts?
Usually when I login to irs it says balance details $0.00 under account status. But now it’s disappeared. Anything to worry about. All transcripts are normal without 846 code. Am a pather.
My refund was processed on Jan 30, funds were sitting green in parentheses until Feb 5. Now its 0.00 and says processed but no DDD, just the still processing message.

I was starting to get worried myself. Filed 1/24, accepted 1/26. TT, EITC and CTC, fees taken out and it seemed to take forever to update to the PATH message. Checked yesterday morning and it updated to PATH message with topic 152. I read an article recently that said there were some “upgrades” to the WMR tool. Those changes may be making the tool act differently than it has in prior years.
You have a husband and a boyfriend, and they both got their refunds coming. That should tied you over until your taxes are processed 😆 No but that was really fast he must’ve had a basic return

@truthteller44 try calling (916) 845-7088 and choose option 2 after choosing your language option. You’ll get someone right away who can tell you if any verification documents are needed.
According to the comptroller Facebook page refunds should be going out by the end of this coming week.
I got my letter yesterday in mail, just had to put code in. It said some of my info changed from last year so that’s why I got chosen for verification, I did recently move, so I did that yesterday morning. Still no update tho for me or my boyfriend. Still says something about letter being sent when I track them and amount still in green when I log on. I’m hoping to update tomorrow
