@alpo I was told not to file your rebate claim until February 11th if you don’t receive it by then .
Same for me alpo I am in NY also.
Also go to irs.gov We’re automatically reissuing second Economic Impact Payments for some taxpayers who don’t recognize the bank account information shown in Get My Payment. Also, payments will be issued by mail for other taxpayers who didn’t get a direct deposit because our records show their bank account is closed.
The Treasury department told me that. Also look up joe Biden executive orders. He said he gave the order to reissue 8 million EIP to people who didn’t receive them.
Do not claim it on your taxes until after February 11th . If you don’t get it this week or next week. My tax man said.

If your banking institutions rejects the payment then you have to claim it as a rebate. Second I don’t know how long this plan is going to effect but the irs is going to have a portal where you can request the payment. It may be this week or next week to get the people the money. This is in the Biden executive
The $600 rebate is separated from all other taxes. Example if you ole tax in 2020 you will receive the full $600. So you would get a refund no matter what. But hold off until feb 12th to claim it. I was told that the IRSis going to do a massive drop this week. 8 million people who haven’t received payments would get it by feb 1st. It will be mostly direct deposited for those who direct deposit went to a temporary closed account. When they reissue the payment to the accounts they have on file.
Well what I was told was this week there going to be a massive drop they have to reissue 8 million checks, direct payments, or meta bank card. Biden sign and executive order that mandates that the IRS resubmit payments by February 1. My belief is that’s why they pushed the tax season back from The end of January until February 12th . So they can get as mush payments out before the new season begins. So let’s see if that would be doing all of this this week.

I just heard on joe Biden economic team that who ever didn’t get the second stimulus will be able to get it soon. They are working on a portal that will allow you to get the money ASAP. According to the press conference. They are working on the portal today. Let’s keep hope alive.
They said it was sent back to the IRS because Meta Bank temporary account was closed.
@ Mercedes 8558680151 option 1 then option 2 . They will ask you for your SS# then tell you what’s going on with it.
I just got off the phone with the treasury department. I was told that my payment was sent back to them from Meta Bank and now just wait until they reissue it to my bank account.
Thanks Mamaof3 I am going to call the treasury tomorrow to see where minds is . IRS isn’t giving me no information at all but file it on my 2020 taxes smh.
I called the irs today and they told me that don’t go by the transcript. Go by the gmp tool. They said all the transcript means is that you are eligible for the second stimulus.
@ Mark that number doesn’t tell you if a card is on the way . It tells you to enter the card number .

I was told by the IRS that the date on your transcript doesn’t matter . It was a mistake. you have to check the Get my payment tool . to see any updates .
Same boat here . I didn’t use TT but a local guy i used for years. Didn’t get minds. Now looks like have to claim it on my taxes.

I am reading that people are seeing prenote of $0.00 from the irs in there accounts .

@FLGirl I know I am in the same boat was looking for this money from December to help me out on pas due bills and still not working for me . I used a tax guy i knew from 2002. He worked for the IRS and we are still going through this . SMH

The IRS continues to take additional steps to get the second Economic Impact Payments to more eligible taxpayers. In addition to redirecting payments to the proper accounts, the IRS and tax industry partners worked over the weekend to help a smaller set of impacted taxpayers.
@Michelle Wow I went through EPS which is the government ETF. I call my tax man who deals with them and he said they had automatically return the payment to the irs. But i am still waiting.
@Michelle I have MCU also and my sister got hers . I didn’t get minds and i file with a private person also. I was told that they are going to reprocess the payments or if not they are going to mail it out to you.

Ashwash I was informed that if we don’t see any Changes by the 15th you have to claim it on your 2020 tax’s as a rebate to get the money .
I see my transcript say 1/4 846 refund But I called them and irs said that I am owed a EIP payment but doesn’t know when or if I’ll get that.

@Tmills I think we are all in the same group. My tax man said many of his clients said the same thing so he called his colleagues in the tax department and they told him NYS it’s low on funding because of the covid19 so delays will happened.

Ok final it changed from further review to send your verification letter and now back to processing. File 1/28 and accepted 1/28. Let’s see how long this will take.
I received my stimulus some how they sent it right to my bank account. When on my 1040 it’s threw and RT bank

Welcome Sandra to the long list of us who has to verify withholdings. Just wait for the letter and then upload your w2. I file 1/28 accepted 1/28 got my federal on the 26th . NY is still giving us all a problem.
