If your refund has been approved, you didn’t actually claim with any child tax credits. It is against federal law for the IRS to release refunds with those credits before February 15th. There are no exceptions.
Path affects EIC and ACTC, not regular CTC
January 28, 2020 at 6:07 pm in reply to: People with EIC and CTC, when was the earliest refund last year? #4333964Hi
Filed 1/21
Accepted 1/22I only have child tax credit, no earned income credit. Had one bar on this past Friday, updated this Sunday morning to Path Act message on Where’s My Refund.
Last year, I filed 1/20, accepted by IRS on 1/22.
Got fed refund on 2/21 @ 5:50pm on Chime card.So I’g guessing the same this year. Late February. Sucks :-(
@tiffany you state no EIC, but did you file with ACTC?Yes it can change, only the cycle ending date of 05 is weekly.
01, 02, 03, 04 are all dailyANYBODY filing with EIC or ACTC will not receive any refunds before feb 15. You can do a search on the PATH ACT 2020 for it.
If your transcripts has no cycle date, then you were NOT in any of the 6 test batches. They did 5 daily test batches and one weekly test batch. Cycle date of 20200405 was the last test batch which was a weekly. Any cycle date ending in 05 is a weekly
that cycle was the last test batch, and because it ended in 5 means your are in weekly cycle. Did you WMR update the following Saturday? I imagine you have a DD of 1-29
I filed three of my sons on 1/27 (all 1040EZ) The oldest has a DDD of 2/3 posted today
January 30, 2015 at 2:15 pm in reply to: Finally an update! 20150405!!!! But when will I get it? lol #4097960@CoreyFromChicago No if anything you might get late Tuesday night. Some bamks hold for a day or two pending fees. if the bank don’t hold at all, you should get it late Tuesday night
@JustWantMyMoney If your cycle date is 20150501 on you “account transcript” and have code 846 as your last code with amount and no bad codes you DDD should be Feb 5
an offset will probably delay you. Hopefully not too much
I filed with TA on the 26th and was accepted immediately. As soon as I went to next page it said it was accepted by the IRS. Just this morning I was able to see my account transcript, BUT it is not populated yet just names and SS #’s nothing filled in for codes or $$$ no cycle date either. I guess it is processing now for me. Last year the”account transcripts” updated throughout the day (not once a day) so hopefully I’ll have some info later.
I purchased the ultimate bundle w/state and 5 federal e-files every year because I also do my kids returns.

Using this chart Today is 20150501
20150405 should give DDD of Feb 4@Mike was you cycle date 20150404 ?
January 30, 2015 at 12:27 pm in reply to: Finally an update! 20150405!!!! But when will I get it? lol #4097837Here are the posting cycles from IRS for example cycle date 20150401 would be 01/23/2015 add 4 BUSINESS days for your DDD. You have to skip over the SAT SUN days

@cilla your DDD should be 02/04 according to your cycle date as long as you DONT have any bad codes
Here is a list of codes. You might have an offset, what other codes do you have?

wait until you receive it.
If they catch it, they will fix it if not, then amend it.Nothing is wrong. It just has not processed yet. As long as it has been accepted.
Some are just luckier than others. I myself have a black cloud that follows me everywhere. This where patience comes into play*Well I cant say nothing wrong until you do get your transcripts because of possible bad codes
January 28, 2015 at 12:18 pm in reply to: Tax transcript codes 570 & 896 – are they related??? #4095687Here is a link to code definitions. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/transaction_codes_pocket_guide.pdf
896 means you had an offset which can and probably will delay your return
*in your case yes they are related.
Have you checked to see if there is an update for your taxact program, or are you using the free version online?
