January 22, 2015 at 8:55 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093360Anonymous
Ok, Update on PA- I filed TT 1/12, accepted 1/13 – Federal first and then State later in the afternoon. Up until Monday ( 1/19) they had no record/info on the PA site and since it stated processing would start on 1/26, I stopped checking.
I just checked now and rcvd the following message:
Your refund in the amount of $***.** was processed but not yet mailed. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for your refund to be received. This is good news:-)..Hope it helps
Juju1Filed on 1/20 federal and state accepted on 1/20 just checked WMR still one bar, State has already been processed deposit any day now:)
Juju1we can keep each other posted on our federal and state progress!!!
January 22, 2015 at 8:39 am in reply to: Did anyone else file with TT and had no fees taken out? #4093357AnonymousIf you didnt have any fee’s to pay or paid them upfront then there is no need for an SBBT transaction. IRS would refund direct to your bank
January 22, 2015 at 8:38 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093356Anonymousok, thank you
MommaOF4has anyone been accepted for Indiana state yet?
January 22, 2015 at 8:34 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093354Gail@Wendy, yes mine says the same and I’m pretty sure that’s the same thing it said last year.
January 22, 2015 at 8:26 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093353AnonymousHas anyone gotten this message when you check your PA return… Your tax return was received on 1/16/2015 and is currently awaiting a routine review. Our examination has not yet been completed.
January 22, 2015 at 8:23 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093352AnonymousI was accepted yesterday..I filed with Tax Act on 1/16 and woke up to a text message. So Pa is accepting them
GailIf so do you know if the refund goes straight to our account from the IRS, or does SBBT still get our refund first? I keep checking SBBT and it tells me there is no record available so I’m wondering if it won’t even go to them.
January 22, 2015 at 8:16 am in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093350GailWell I just checked the PA website and it does indeed say they received my return on 1/21/2015, so they did start accepting them before 1/26.

Memacs62173i never had any problems with the net spend card.. Also my husband and I always filed joint and turbo tax always only had his name on the card.
jijiMy husband wasn’t on my net spend card and we filed joint
neaveh_star6No DDD yet, at least not from the looks of what others are saying. I filed on the 15th, accepted on the 20th through TT and WMR is still showing one bar. TT updated with an estimated date between the 21st of this month (obviously not happening, lol) and the 10th of next month. I’m sure it will arrive before the 10th, but it’s not knowing when that’s the killer. I would wait and check it again tomorrow. I don’t think the WMR is going to give a DDD to anyone today. My mother works for the IRS and she said the WMR has already updated for the day.
kristenThis is insane when will we get these ddd
AnonymousLooks like another day of waiting. ughhh
AnonymousLonnie, KEEP IT REAL!
AnonymousI do have the usual status from TT saying between the 21st and 10th of next month. No update on wmr however, still sitting on 1 bar
BradSame thing for me too
AnonymousTT now showing a refund date of January 21st to February 10th
BlackfyreFiled at around 8pm with H&R efile cause I’m broke and it’s free. Finished and received an email at 8:37pm. At 8:50pm received an email that it was already accepted, and I confirmed with WMR.
Kristi hWow! I’m glad I used tt this year. Almost like divine intervention. I have used H&R since 2009.
Went to tt this year because so many people brag about it.
BCUpdate 5 minutes later – as soon as I refiled, the return was accepted within minutes, and I already have 1 bar at wmr. Spent 3 days trying to patiently wait for the irs to accept my return and much of tonight trying to figure out what the error was when it came back at hrb as rejected. Stupid software.
BTW, I did notice that hrb pulled down all links to rate them at this time, both from the web site and on facebook – they’re efficient at watching out for themselves at least.
In any case, anyone who filed early through hrb and was rejected but can’t figure out why, just try to refile.
If you haven’t filed yet, avoid hrb!!
Kristi hYes if you have a joint return, both names need to be on the Netspend account.
It’s not something you can do online, it has to be done by calling in.
Now that doesn’t mean the joint filer has to have a card to your account, they can simply be added by you so any deposits made in their name, or jointly with yours, will not be rejected.
It’s a fraud prevention measure that all the cards have.
BCHoly crap — this is the last time I use hrb. Filed on the 18th and didn’t get any status update until my return got rejected this afternoon, but with no reason or error message attached to the rejection. I went through the return a dozen or more times and couldn’t find any errors. Called the help line to find out why it was rejected, waited 45 minutes on hold and was told to file again – the poor lady said this has been happening all day. Buggy software this year or something – freaking sucks.
If you haven’t filed yet, DO NOT USE hrb.
Thought this may help understand the wmr system better.

Kristi hI would assume that transcripts only update once per day as well, along with wmr. Thing is, I think last year I remember some getting to get them around 11 pm my time (cst), right before a wmr update.
courtneyllBoth names??
Kristi hWhoevers names are on the refund need to be on the Netspend account.
If it’s not, call asap and explain so they can possibly expedite adding…if it kicks back you’ll be waiting for a paper check.
courtneyllDoes primary tax payer have to be cardholder? Im cardholder and wife on joint return.
JennnnnnniferI filed with TT 1/15. EIC, 2+ dependents, I have the school crap too. It was accepted 1/20……still 1 bar on WMR and TT giving me date of 2/20
Rtbartonie@Dion
Thanks so much! I put in all of my info everything is ready to go. They just need my refund from from irsMRSLEDLOWNO DDD WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT OR EARLY IN THE MORNING. MY INFORMATION CAME FROM A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE IRS…..
My husband files today with TT 1/21/2012 accepted by the IRS 1/21/2015
AnonymousI submitted mine to Taxslayer on 1/19 around 6 pm and got the acceptance from Federal on 1/20 around 10:27 am and from state last night. Both sites only say they’ve gotten it (1 bar) and it’ll take 21 days. The usual bull.
AnonymousIf it says “has been, could be, may be”, all of those equal WILL be.
EddieFinally accepted. Around 500pm today 1/21. Filed yesterday at 1130am 1/20
AnonymousHas he ran into arrears again, and that is possibly the case that is open?
Lisa, both of mine were federal tax offsets.
AnonymousI have been a Netspend user since 2007.
I found out, due to another larger payment (an adoption reimbursement) that my husband had to be on the account. I faxed in his information, and they immediately released our reimbursement.
Every tax year, it’s our account of choice, even over our bank account.
My DDD has consistently been on a Wednesday for the last 2 years. I have gotten my refund the Sunday before, between 9:30-10:30 my time (PM).
LaurieLWe filed with h&r block last night. Got a text this morning that says my return is complete & they will hold it until the irs starts accepting returns & will send another text when it has been transmitted. I thought the irs was already accepting returns?
AnonymousI filled on the 17th, finally got accepted today
mikefilled on taxslayer. got accepted on 20th at 930 am. yesterday was showing one bar on WMR. No showing screen like i entered incorrect information. anyone know why?
jijiI used them my first year with tt. Only problem I had was that I received my refund but hadn’t received my net spend card yet. Good thing I had one from 3 years prior and they were able to transfer the funds!! But I did receive my money quicker than irs website was updating :)
Mamaof6My husbands debt was from 10+ years ago for child support that was taken from his 2003 tax return. Have proof and they still state it on the recording….Never have in the past 8 years; why all the sudden now?
WaStateMommaNetspend for us was a nightmare. We had a rather large return. We red the cardholder agreement and it states that tax returns will be accepted up to 50K. Ours was around 17. Once netspend received our money they froze our account. We had to fax in copies of all w2s, all pages of our tax return, our ids, our ss cards, a utility bill, insurance cards. And they all had to have the same address as on the tax return. Luckily for us we hadn’t moved or anything so all info matched. Once netspensd received our faxes they said there was a two week processing time for the documents we faxed. We finally received our money about 10 days AFTER our DDD. Ive heard other people telling the same story. I hope this doesn’t happen to you!1!
jijiI checked for mine too and it wasn’t available. I was accepted on January 12th. Filed with tt
Tried to order my transcript this afternoon, but I wasn’t able to.
chrisu get ur deposit before u would with any bank last three years netspend gives me my $ 2-3 days before my ddd
kathyhas any of the early filers been able to get their transcripts yet…..I filed with free tax on the 13th of Jan, and IRS accepted my return early morning of the 14th. I just checked for transcripts and mine aren’t available yet. Just wondering if anybody else has had any luck on getting them. Thanks
JayBumping this thread up to the top because, well, it’s soon to be the hottest thing here ;)
mikeI have used netspend the last two years no problems with them
AnonymousIf an individual owes money to the federal government because of a delinquent debt, the Treasury Department can offset that individual’s federal payment or withhold the entire amount to satisfy the debt. The debtor is notified in advance of any offset action to be taken. Individuals may call (800) 304-3107 with questions about a delinquent debt.
I found this on the IRS fiscal website.
CarmellaDoes anyone know if they will actually offset my refund? It says on the recording that they MAY offset it but they didn’t last year.
VictorFiled on 1/20 at 2:40 am Accepted today at 4, 1 bar TT152
Mamaof6I called on mine and my husbands ssn#. Mine was good. My husbands tell of an offset he had back in 2003! It was back child support that was taken out of his 2003 tax return. Why are they STILL reminding us of this??
aprilThis is my 1st year using netspend with my income tax.. can u give me any info on if this was a good or bad choice.. on when deposit showed into accout.. etc..
HaydenHrb sucks not sure y ppl use them get ur billions back lol ok sure take ur billions if anything
ElleWe owed last year by October. I faxed them to deduct it from our return. They didn’t. We got the entire return. That was four months prior to filing. I wouldn’t plan on the irs taking it from you. Just pay them when you get your money and they can find your debt. They didn’t even show a debt on record for us until July. It’s a huge pain, but stay on top of it.
ElleI filed with HRB on the 17th. I got an email from HRB today about 3:30 my return was accepted. I checked WMR and have one bar and TT152.
anonFiled through HRB on the 15th. Just accepted today. One bar on WMR.
RandyWow you people really got butt hurt over someone pulling a fast one on you.. Try to not be so sensitive and life will be much more fun..Yeah I clicked it and laughed at myself for basically asking for it.
GailI filed last night at 8, was accepted at 10 and at that time WMR had a bar and my refund amount. Checked this morning, still one bar and refund amount, but now I have tt 152.
LisaWere they both federal?
My understanding was that the offset number includes state tax offset but not federal. If that’s not the case, I don’t know why mine didn’t show up. Maybe because it was many years old, I guess?thizness manfiled 1/9, accepted 1/12, bars disappeared 1/13, not sure when amount went missing, still missing today with topic 152.
Kristi HOh and that number you gave is the one I always call.
Kristi HFor me, both offsets said it, but one caught me off guard and I didn’t call till wmr said I had an offset.
Both were back taxes from Jackson hewitts error.
Each time it said “your refund has been or will be offset”, but didn’t say the amount.
LisaI liked that better as well! Except for the year that I didn’t realize it didn’t include federal tax debt.
I wish they’d include ANY debt that could cause an offset.AaronIf I remember from prior years that means they are processing your return when the bar and refund amount disappears. I think the it will update with a DDD in the next 48 hours if I remember correctly.
LisaFound this on the IRS website-
“o determine whether an offset will occur on a debt owed (other than federal tax), contact BFS’s TOP call center at 800-304-3107 (866-297-0517 for TTY/TDD help).”
So I do believe this confirms the reason for the new wording- info from the hotline doesn’t include federal tax debt. Here’s the link to the full page-
http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc203.htmlKristi HExactly! Why couldn’t they leave it as is?
“As of today, there are no debts associated with your SSN”…
Lisai noticed the change of wording as well. I’m thinking it says that because federal tax debt isn’t included in the offset program. A few years back, we were clear on the hotline, then surprised when they took a huge amount for an old (10 years) federal tax debt.
The new wording does bother me, though. It’s like, you have no non-tax debt…. but we aren’t telling you if you have offsets for tax debt.CindellI was wondering if any ones bars have shown back up. Last year this happened to my husband then a couple of days later he had 2 bars and a ddd. I was just wondering.
DestinyMary, I dont believe so.
AnonymousCAN SOMEONE KICK LONNIE12???? His screenshots are beyond wrong and have NOTHING to do with taxes!!
