No changes yet. Still have the 570 and 971 dated 3/11/2024 I will assume a letter will go out around that date since it says notice sent? My as of date is still 2/19/24
I Just have 570 not any other code.
Mine is basic no deductions at all. I Did get a 401k distribution and started getting SS
But I have nothing just Income and Tax withheld Going on 30 days HELP!@keri-lin I agree. Transcript showed this on 2/15. Why are they waiting to send it?

Can’t check transcripts, but WMR has been on 1 bar with Tax Code 152Just received my refund on Chime even with no updates on WMR.
So, they’re coming. Don’t stress! :)

Not sure why the idiots would wait to send the letter when they already know what the issue is. They suck, I have the same notice date 3/4 and haven’t seen anything yet.I had a ddd of 2/22 846 code. Never got it on 2/22 looked at my transcripts and it now says 841-return rejected and code 570
Called the irs and they say it’s under review? Anyone have this happen? My refund got approved and had a ddd then this….grrrrrFiled 2/5

Waiting for ACTCI called on Monday 2/26 and they told me that my return went to error department and wait 10 weeks for a letter if they can’t solve it. They don’t know what is the error because there is no letter generated if I don’t get it in 10 weeks to called back to see what happened. If a letter is sent before 10 weeks and I sent what they need on fax or mail. I have to wait again 8 weeks. Gosh what a problem does anyone experience the same from tax return 2022 please share how long you wait to get your refund
I was flagged for review. I got married last year and had a baby too, I’ve always filed single and my wife has always filed single. This year we filed married for first time and added our baby. Also, in 2022 I had reported business income on a schedule C, but this year did not because I didn’t operate the business at all in 2023.
Would all this cause a flag for review? Getting a little worried

I got my 5071c letter yesterday answered the 3 questions hopefully see a update soon
I thought I was the only one still waiting. No letter yesterday and still none today. Going to call Monday for an in person verify if it don’t come by then. This is ridiculous. Mine was mailed same day as several others that have gotten theirs.
Just checked and refund approved to be deposited on 3/5.
Anyone that has “We received your return and sent you a letter requesting more information. Please respond by following the instructions in the letter. If you don’t respond, your refund amount could be changed. It may take 2-3 weeks for you to receive the letter.” on your WMR….. Have you seen any update on transcripts on WMR since returning the forms to IRS?
I got letter 12c on 2/17, faxed the next day, and I am still waiting on an update/change. WRM still says the same thing, and transcripts still sat N/A or “no return filed”. Any info you have would be much appreciated.

@KWilson , Do PA state returns really take 12 to 16 weeks to come back?
No dependants or eitc on my PA return but when i called it told.me 12-16 weeks.
NJ said don’t check the return until 4 weeks after it has been accepted so I’m jist curious thae actual timing for PA state returns?

Agent told me on 2/20, a letter was sent on 2/14 dated 3/4. Called this morning 2/29 as I have not received anything and was told that the notices are postdated but the agent looked again and said no, my letter is actually being mailed on 3/4.

My transcripts show 570 as of 3/4 and 971 as of 3/11.
Received my verification letter in the mail 2/28.Went through online verification process and was notified that verification is complete and it could take up to 9 weeks to finish processing my return.
Has anyone who has received their letter and verified seen any change to their transcript or WMR?
This has been going on for years. I personally feel they are moving quite swiftly this year. Out of millions of tax returns, there only a handful using this forum this year. Look at prior years.

Filed and accepted 1/19Mine is the same thing. I went from PATH message to still processing refund date will be provided when one becomes available. I called them a couple days ago before I got this message and they said my return was in the errors resolution department. Can’t tell me why and I may get a letter asking for more info or I may not. Could take up to ten weeks.
I guess my message didn’t go through. I was wondering if PA really takes 14-18 weeks to see your return. No eitc or ctc.
No updates for me yet (Filed 1/18, accepted 1/19, received verify letter on 2/23). I am usually a weekly, so hoping it updates tonight or Friday, but I have never had anything take this long and I am so frustrated with the general lack of updates over five weeks now.
I filed late to avoid the paths act but I haven’t seen any movement.

Usually a weekly but last year was a daily.Are they just moving slow or is it possible I’m weekly again? If so what are the update dates for weekly?

My thoughts are that this country is in shambles and operates on lies and secrecy.
When people banded together to understand and determine when to REALLY expect our returns and transcripts and cycle dates, every year they attempt to lie about the process and prevent us for knowing they drag the process out to gain money for taxes paid to issue refunds. In all this technology it cannot take this long or be this difficult to send payments. It’s never difficult for them to receive payment.
My thoughts are that this country is in shambles and operates on lies and secrecy.

I received my 5071C letter today to verify I answered three questions and was done hopefully I see a update soon
@Brandon you are well past the 21 day mark so contact the IRS and have them give you the reason for the delay. if the agent you are on the phone with is giving you canned generic answers then hang up and call back and speak with another agent. some are just lazy and won’t bother to look it up or they will place you on hold and come back saying they dont know anything when in reality they didnt bother looking it up for you.
So the 4/15 is when it’s due. That’s on most of them. I can’t see mine at all. Processing sometimes can mean that’s the next week they will process that batch of returns and can also mean nothing at all. As long as you’re not showing verify I wouldn’t worry. Hopefully it will go through the next batch of updates!
