I just checked mine, still one bar :/
MichelleJust a little info…went in to check irs2go and it says wmr not available at this time. Maybe they are down to do updates?!
*This is not the same as exceeding amount of inquiries.
MichelleJust a little something new. Just checked the irs2go and it said wmr is currently unavailable. Not the same as exceeding amount of tries. Maybe they are ready to update?!
JustWantMYMoneyI’ve gotten a refund in January every year except the past 2.
Patti,
I wish they would get their stuff together! It’s sad to say that we used to get the returns and information faster before the irs went to this “new” system!
amandaLast year I filed on the 15th, I was accepted early in the test batch and got mine on the first DDD of 2-5 or 2-6. I didn’t have an issue filing early, I didn’t wait long. The only year I really had an issue was 2012 when they changed it all to 21 days, because it gave us all an acceptance and we can expect our refund on such and such day. But a lot of people’s weren’t processed by then, so their info changed. The IRS has to first accept your return, then process and approve it, then refund sent (DDD).
That’s not true in my case. 2012 I got mine on January 28 and that’s when they only did deposits on Fridays
amandaI really don’t think any refunds will go out before February. Because, if you think about it… the government won’t earn all that interest on the money if they pay out before the first. The last time I remember a refund being issued in January. Was for 2009 tax season I believe it was Jan 31st? Why would they pay and lose interest when they can wait till the next month? They say within 21 days, if they were nasty they could make us all wait a full 21 days, but they don’t. Some country’s you have to wait like 4-6 months for a refund. I don’t expect to see any DDD for January. Only February, no matter if they opened early or not.
BenYou are the knight who says NI!
January 23, 2015 at 9:42 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093689gailWow that was really quick for PA Nic!
Patti@Navywife2001: that literally happened to me earlier tonight! They gave me amounts and dates of offsets that occurred in 2013 and 2014! It really freaked me out because it’s like, am I going to be offset again for these amounts??? But I spoke to a rep and he informed me that the case these offsets were for is now closed. The debt has been paid in full.
I am wondering what is going on with the IRS Offset system as well. Called yesterday it stated my husband nor I had any non taxable offsets. Now tonight I called because the system states they are added everyday. Now it says my husband has no offsets but I have and offset from last year with a pay date of 02/12/2014. This is getting crazy! Been filing income taxes for the past 18 years and these past two years have been crazy. Who the heck knows what is up with the IRS!!!!
PattiOK…waited thirty minutes to speak to a rep who told me that as far as he can see…nothing has come from DoE. He said, however, that this can change. I asked him about the automated message and he said it must have been a mistake on my part, that perhaps I selected a different option on accident.
I had two offsets for one federal loan. They took my whole check in 2013 and about $1200 last year. I asked the guy what it said in his system and he said that the case is “inactive.” I asked him what that meant and we were literally arguing semantics for a good five minutes before he finally admitted that this was a closed case through DoE!
What bothered me though was his ominous, “it can still change” comment. I asked him flat out if he’s seen offsets so far this tax season from DoE. This was asked to determine whether or not DoE is sending out their yearly garnishments for refunds. His response was that he, himself, have made no such calls yet. I tried to ask the right questions to get the best answers from his, “I cannot confirm nor deny” butt!
Called the hotline again, I guess I chose the correct selection, was informed that at this point in time I have no debts.
Try this one. It works
CrystalSBBT only works if you had your filing fees taken from your tax refund. Otherwise it goes straight to your personal account.
TJSame thing is happening to me so its KY not an issue on our part
kristenDid any other netspend users get anywhere on that website?
JaySure, I plan on a movement (or two) over the weekend ;) LMFAO
AnonymousI just called them this evening because I could not get my info from their site. The agent told me it was in the later process and should be approved by Monday and deposited a few days later. The return was sent to them 1/17
Refundfreakno***
RefundfreakNi just kidding but I can’t wait :)
keriWas wondering the same. I called for my husband and he had one so we called and set up payments but education said they were still taking it so I filed injured spouse. Now I called and he has no offset I dunno what happened
BenI was kind of wondering the same thing. The IRS offset my return last year to make current a student loan debt. It still shows up when I called the offset line. Even though it was paid last year.
KiriuNo update for me yet. Just the generic “within 14 days this should update” message. The spelling error “teh” made me laugh though.
PattiSo I called the offset hotline and they said I “have” two offsets. But they were applied on 2/12/14 and 2/11/13. These amounts sound familiar. Is the automated system supposed to tell me about previous offsets???
I had DIRECT loans. The Automated system said the amount of $xxxx was applied on 2/12/14 and the amount of $xxxx was applied on 2/11/13. They said nothing about an offset to occur in 2015. Can I assume that I’m in the clear? All my federal loans are in deferment until May, and I have two federal Perkins loans that I’m in an arrangement on. I’m on hold right now for an agent. But I’ve been on hold for twenty minutes already…
lettucemannope – filed with TT on 1/10 – accepted by IRS 1/12 – and there it sits.
SuzannaMine was accepted on 01/20 with a 01/15 receipt date (when I originally filed with TT). I checked this morning and received a 01/22 authorization. I noticed it took three days before they authorized it. I checked last year and that was the same length of time it took for them to authorize it. However, I have not seen a deposit yet in my bank. My feeling is based on last year – I may not see until next week. But I am remain hopeful….
You might see yours authorized hopefully tomorrow (01/24), if not by Monday.
elizabethOuch Ash that sucks did they give you a reason
Being accepted early is just them testing their transmittal system with forms and such changing over .everyone starts being processed starting opening day and this came from an IRS agent
Ash032I filed 1/15. Didn’t get notification that it was accreted until 1/21 and the CA FTB website showed it was accepted 1/15 on 1/22. Now 1/23 it says it requires extra processing and could take 8+ weeks. Nothing has changed from last year. I filed with TT. This happened the last time we filed with TT also.
No. I filed early, and mine was accepted on 1/14. I just checked WMR and I was still at the first stage.
KevinMswall06,
No I haven’t. Still states that there is no info from my return in big bold red letters. I think we might be waiting til the federal does it’s thing.
BFMy understanding is that Topic 152 is the default message that appears as soon as your information is viewable on WMR, and that it means nothing in terms of the processing of your return. Can somebody confirm or deny this?
January 23, 2015 at 5:23 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file with TT and had no fees taken out? #4093663They didn’t give me a date :-(
AnonymousLast year I checked WMR on Saturday and it moved from accepted to refund sent, hoping for the same this year!
January 23, 2015 at 5:13 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file with TT and had no fees taken out? #4093661AnonymousI’ve always got my refund the same day they sent it to SBBT. SBBT have never held my money. I contacted SBBT and they gave me all my information regarding my deposit. They told me the IRS will deposit my refund on the 6th of Feb, I ask them is there a possibility that the IRS will deposit sooner and they said they honestly do not know. I was accepted the 16th so that’s why I asked if it was a possibility I’d get it sooner.
@navywife2001 Did SBBT give you the same Feb 6th date?AnonymousI’m sure well have all types of updates come Monday. For some reason I feel like us early filers will be paid mid – late next week.
January 23, 2015 at 4:51 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file with TT and had no fees taken out? #4093659Noelle, We have used sbbt every year and we have always gotten ours the same day as our ddd is. I hope that this helps! :-D
January 23, 2015 at 4:49 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file with TT and had no fees taken out? #4093658My husband and I had fees taken out by sbbt when we filed on 1/21/2015 with tt and sbbt already has our fee schedule but on wmr we only have 1 bar and the 152 message.
Lisa BuckI filed my taxes today with taxslayer…… already showing Topuc 152. I know from last year that approval is near, I also was approved quick last year. Kinda wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I had a P10 thru the IRS to file. In the past I never was approved so quickly….. always had to wait, that’s the only change.
AnonymousFiled 1/17 accepted 1/20 Still just one bar on wheres my refund site.
AnonymousNope
AnonymousLast year it took 6 weeks to get mine. Well 4 weeks if you count from the day IRS actually opened. I learned my lesson! This year I filed on the 21st just to be safe. EVERYBODY I know got their tax return at least a week before I did and filed AFTER I did. I have a simple return.
JustWantMyMoneyI seriously doubt the first payouts will be issued on 2/5 or 2/6. Payouts went out around that time last year and they opened 11 days later. Some payouts will go out next week for sure.
AnonymousBasically the schedule says we will get them 2/6 if we filed jan 20-24. My state (Wisconsin) DDD is 1/29/15. WMR has 1 bar and tax topic 152.
WmrASHLEYAccepted just means that they have received your info and it has passed a basic info check…meaning names and SSN matched. Approved means they have reviewed your refund and processing has been completed! DDD should come shortly after approval. Hope that helps my mom works for IRS.
JustWantMyMoneyLast year I was accepted on 1/27/14 and received my refund on 2/6/14. I think we will see updates over the weekend. If not, Monday at the latest.
AnonymousLast year most of the people who filled early weren’t in the first batch. I am not sure how the IRS processes the returns. I filed mine 1/15 last year IRS didn’t open till the 30th I think. I didn’t get my refund till 02/20. I was going CRAZY! My coworkers who did there’s on the 30th all got their returns the first week of Feb. I hope that isn’t the case this year!
AnonymousLast year my ddd was 2/20 but I got my refund on 2/19 around 6:30 pm pacific time. I filed about 2 weeks early and didn’t get my refund for 6 weeks. This forum helped me stay semi sane! lol
January 23, 2015 at 3:53 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093647Anonymous@Gail, They accepted it 1/13 but the system had no record of it until 1/20 when Federal returns started processing, yesterday the status changed to processed and boom!! today the money came! I wasn’t expecting that.. so at the most 10 days to process but really I don’t think they started doing anything till Tuesday so that was a 3 day turnaround!
CoboRop@Kathy I filed with FreeTaxUSA as well and was taken aback at how simple it was to answer the insurance question (it kind of makes you wonder what all the fuss was about)!
mswall06Has anyone received a DDD for KY???
Heard anything??AnonymousMy spell check is seriously mentally challenged. I hope you can figure out what I was trying to say. Sorry for the typos.
AnonymousJmac supposedly even though we got accepted early they didn’t begin processing early filers until the 20th. I of course am just going by what I hear, that’s all I can so. When I contacted SBBT I personally asked them is there a chance of me getting my return sooner than the 6th and they told me they don’t know. So they don’t IRS could very well deposit it before that, that would be great but I have nothing to show that it’ll happen.
JustWantMyMoneyKathy, as long as you had coverage you are fine. They didn’t ask me for more details either.
I got my DDD on Sunday morning last year and it was for 2/6 which was that following Thursday
January 23, 2015 at 3:15 pm in reply to: Did anyone else file PA state through TT? Mine was accepted this morning #4093640GailNic~ that’s awesome! When was your PA accepted? This is what it says now on my PA.
Your return was received and information is currently being updated to your account. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks from today to receive your refund. If you need additional information, please call 717-787-8201 and a representative will help you.
I’ve never gotten PA before Fed but maybe PA is going quicker this year! Please let me know Nic :)
BradI think last year big updates can on Fridays and I remeber getting my transcript on Saturday and ddd on Sunday
ryanwill we see any movement over the weekend on regards to being approved and given a DDD? I would imagine no because its the weekend and god forbid a government employee work weekends, but thought possibly since it’s tax season this could be different. Any insight is helpful
JmacI don’t know why this 2/6 or 2/5 date is floating out there for early filers. Those dates are more than 2 weeks from the start of IRS processing and it never takes that long its always 7 to 10 days from acceptance unless you have a complex filing or something special.
21 days from the accepted date. I’ve always gotten mine in about a week though.
MitchellThe info I got was from this website they have a chart posted. So it’s usually within 21 days from the accepted or the approved date? I looked on SBBT and it still shows no info on me but I only have 1 bar
Accepted and received are interchangeable. You’ll see on WMR it says received. You’ll have one bar.
Approved is the next step. You’ll have a two bars and a DDD.
AnonymousCorrect accepted simply means they have your return, they accepted it. Approved means they approved your refund. Acceptance is the 1st step then approved, then ddd and deposit. You still may fall into the group of 2/5 but if you don’t mind me asking where did you get that date from? SBBT informed me my deposit is scheduled to be deposited on 2/6 I’ve been accepted since 1/16.
MitchellI notice on the refund calendar that this site it says when the irs accepts your refund and than a DDD. I just noticed these 2 words seem to be interchanged a lot online and I was Hopi g for some clarity. Taxslayer sent me a email saying my refund was accepted and I only have 1 bar on the WMR site. Does that mean I also still need to be approved? Also does that mean I woildnt fall most likely into the 2/5 DDD group?
Thanks!!!
Aspis@Iwanttoshop, really? Would they know that before wmr even updates? Feb 6, when did you file? TurboTax?
AspisStill down. Like I needed another reason to panic this week.
AspisIts probably just a small glitch related large traffic. Im checking again now…
AspisIt means that when I submit the info, the SBBT system, is supposed to return info which then provides the server with the correct info to display on my screen, however, after I enter my info, what the SBBT is sending as a response, which should normally have my personal details, is empty. This is not the same thing as, we dont have your info, because even in that case, the returned value is not empty. So, their system is malfunctioning. Its not you or me personally causing it, its a system wide error, presumably.
AnonymousI called sbbt yesterday asking about my refund, they informed me it is scheduled to be deposited Feb 6th, I ask them is there a possibility it could be sooner they said they do not know.
My Money FunnyMy bars are missing and it states we have your refund please allow 21 days…..I thought it was to early for this. Anyone else?
AnonymousMy log in worked
AnonymousWhat does empty variable being returned mean?
AnonymousI got the same results.
