@WaitingGa2023, thank you for the reply! When I sign in, on the first page is 0 in green and then when I go the page with my returns and click on 2022 it shows my refund in green parenthesis, I guess I’m trying to see if this is normal?On mine, the first page with the 0 was black until today, I’m confused lol
TJ – In my GTC (Georgia Tax Center) online account, my status amount turned green. Next step is for my status amount to show $0.00 in green, meaning my refund was approved.

I might have encouraging news. I called this afternoon. After 90 minutes talking to two different reps, they said they saw “something” about my account, put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and said if I don’t see a refund date after ten more days to call them back. At least the telephone rep actually checked things instead of giving me a line of “it takes 12 weeks”. After hanging up, I checked online and my account finally showed green. I live in hope.
I filed on February 7th with my taxes electronically. I called on 3/15 based upon hopes from others posts. All they gave me was it reached the IS department on 2/27 and to wait 11 weeks from 2/9. Hoping there’s an update this weekend since the last few weeks have been nothing. I really don’t want to wait until the end of April but that’s what it’s looking like at this point.
Our return was accepted on Feb 11 and has been 6 weeks. I called this morning, was put on hold and she came back and told me that it is still processing and that it could take up to 12 weeks. She also said it could be released before then. Marked 6 weeks from today on my calendar and will check back then. Hoping it doesn’t take another 6 weeks.
Nika, you’ve been waiting six weeks. According to this Georgia DOR link, it says to call if you’ve been waiting six weeks. Good luck, and please keep the rest of us informed.

I would be so happy if I saw the 846 refund with a date I would dance naked in the rain!!!!!!!!! Take and run with it!!! I am interested to know when you actually filed and if you filed your injured spouse with your 1040 or after?
I usually file in January. This year I filed 3/14, accepted 3/15. Transcripts updated 3/24 with 846 and ddd of 3/29. I’m having fees taken out. I got here to if I can expect ddd before on or after 3/29?

patience, you might be approved soon. The agent might have been approving your return behind the scenes. You filed a few days before Nika, and got their DDD of 3/27. Good Luck, keep us informed – it helps others get an idea of how long they will have to wait.
I have an 846 refund issued code for 3/29. I’m kinda leary of it because the transcripts codes say filed, credits, 570 for injured spouse, and then straight to 846….. was there supposed to be a resolved code for that 570?
Called today and after being on hold for nearly an hour got a live person who then proceeded to put me back on hold which hung up after an additional twenty minutes of hold

My WMR updated with DDD 4/1
I called today for the first time in my life (lol). She said that her department are the ones who manually process the injured spouse forms and that it is frustrating on her end because they are told to answer the phones while processing the IS forms. She was really nice! But it sounds to me they are doing all they can do!
Well I zerod out today!! I filed Feb 7th. Thank goodness. I hope a DDD shows soon
Yeah they were getting them out in 7-10 days in bank accounts (my 3 college adult kids all got within 5 work days! Mine got hung up as I filed on 01-25 and accepted immediately. .. we are seeing no transcript updates until last weekend and another delay which was a credit added by them! Imagine that …they delayed to give me more $! Must be a democrat in there handing out $ ha hA
Anyone accepted March 9 and still waiting for a direct deposit date?
I had a small movement last Friday. My bottom two transcripts are clickable now, but there are no codes. The top two are still unavailable.
Another possible reason for Georgia taking so long in processing refunds – Georgia is one of the States that shares 1099 data with the IRS. Businesses have until March 31st to electronically send 1099 data to the IRS. So, if Georgia wants to process refunds after comparing the business 1099 data with the values taxpayers entered on their returns, this would result in refunds being held until April at the earliest for those returns Georgia selected for comparison.
Ddd for original return was 3/7 received it on chime 3/6 … filed amended return for federal and NY same day 3/7/23 FUNDS for AMENDED return posted to chime this past Monday 3/20/23 .. New York is on a roll this year

I assume I am weekly bc my WMR didn’t update today maybe it will later.

I was definitely spoiled last year as well same exact scenario. My path message currently says the same as yours.Filed 2/21, accepted. Same day. Wmr stayed at accepted. Called IRS they said it was pulled for review. She said I should receive it by 4/23. Has this ever happened to anyone?
I just read that Kemp has approved a second additional refund (in my case that would be an additional $350) of surplus similar to the one we received before. I wonder if this is why the refunds are not going out. From what i read most of those will be paid by July 1st. I guess the big question is When will they begin sending out refunds again.
Patience, I don’t think I’d worry much about being flagged. I’ve heard the phone lines are so jammed, that if they flagged everyone who called they would be flagging just about every return.
So far a lot of posters have gotten their refund around 3/15 or are either waiting on a 3/22 DDD..
So here’s to us that are still playing the waiting game!!

Transcripts still say N/A, except for the bottom left “Account” transcript it’s completely blank which is a first for me.
They spoiled me last year, I received my DDD in exactly 7 days, I checked WMR & it was approved I nearly freaked out lol Was hoping for the same this year
So far, WMR at 1 bar, w/ TT 152, “is being processed”
State Taxes came on the 17th with no issues.I want to call and ask what is taking so long but at the same time I don’t want no agent flagging mine.

Nika, good thought, but GA needs to process the 2022 tax year returns in order to correctly calculate the refunds defined by HB162.
Georgia is just taking a long time to process returns and refunds. The longer they delay, the more ‘free’ money they make from our ‘loans’ to them.For those of you who already for their refund & used Tax Slayer, if you had fees taken out – how long did it take to actually get your deposit?? Day of DDD or a few days later?
I usually pay my fees upfront and I have a DDD of 3/22 so I feel like I would’ve already gotten my money in my Chime acct. Ughhh.. What is the hold up??
It might be delayed due to Governor Kemp signing that extra income tax bill. GA has never taken this long. Filed back in February and still in the green!!
Hello, my friend did not know that her bank account was closed and her direct deposit was sent on March 15th. Does anyone know how long it normally takes before they receive a paper check in the mail once the refund is returned to the IRS?
As of dates on transcripts are to remind the system that something needs to be done on that return by that date. If not, that date will push out to allow itself more time to get things done. If it still isn’t able to resolve whatever action needs to be taken, then someone manually has to resolve and get it back into processing.
What does the as of date mean on the transcript?
I filed Feb 24th. Friday was my 21 days. I can finally see my transcripts as of thos week but have a 570 with an “as of date” of April 3rd. What does that mean?
I wish one of the local TV stations would start asking questions on why Georgia is taking so long to issue refunds.

Filed on March 8th, accepted that day….have seen no movement/updates since.Accepted by Ga on 01/24/2023, same as alot of other people and still showing as green. I dont know what is up with Georgia this year but there has to be something they are not saying. In all the years i have filed taxes it has never taken this long before.
