      Hello, my friend did not know that her bank account was closed and her direct deposit was sent on March 15th. Does anyone know how long it normally takes before they receive a paper check in the mail once the refund is returned to the IRS?

          Have your friend check with the bank. Some banks will reopen an account when a direct deposit comes through. So the funds may be sitting there. It’s worth checking.
