846 today with date 03/02/2026? This date is not your DDD. DDD should be 2/13; confirm tomorrow on WMR. ALOT of “should” this year – things have changed and we are watching closely.
Ugggh. I blocked all of China. I only saw 2. Am I missing more somewhere?
I just noticed that our spam filter wasn’t working. Thank you for the post.
I think we got it fixed!
Thanks for all the screenshots! I am working on the problem now!

Here is more information about HUB testing.

February 18, 2024 at 9:29 pm in reply to: Chime TPG SBTG rejecting refunds | CHIME Deposited | Mega Thread Watch Party #4536973Also, maybe reps are using outdated information. I hope so and everyone is wrong. One of our mods, trust us or not, through chat, yesterday was told they wouldn’t accept. It’s all a mess and if I had this much money riding on the bs I would be pissed and worried.
February 18, 2024 at 9:22 pm in reply to: Chime TPG SBTG rejecting refunds | CHIME Deposited | Mega Thread Watch Party #4536972We are not trolls and posted information directly from their Facebook page… images. current. not outdated. We also acknowledge that people are getting told different information via chat and calling in. I would be worried too with all the different information. Just because you heard what you want, doesn’t make it true or us trolls or us wanting people in misery.
We want people to know what the hell is going on. And it seems nobody knows because people are being told different things. I hope it all goes well. But we started this based on the Chime official comments on FB. They don’t have their customer service reps, whether on chat or the phone or on FB all on the same page.
period. People have a right to be concerned.
There are a lot of people that still see just n/a. It typically just means your return has not been fully processed yet. Something could have happened to push you into the next cycle. I would look for an update in the next cycle. There are some other threads with people who filed the same day if you want to compare their progress.
February 17, 2024 at 9:04 pm in reply to: Chime TPG SBTG rejecting refunds | CHIME Deposited | Mega Thread Watch Party #4536842I combined 3 threads to this one so you would all be together. Somebody had a good idea of separating people that actually get funded, but many people just leave and don’t come back. If you do get funded, please let us know.
Did you have fees taken from your refund?
Did you have an advance?
Was your return over 10k?DO NOT LEAVE PII

They have come out on their FB page saying one thing, and in private chats saying another. Some people have received their deposits, some are saying rejected.
So let’s stop saying it’s A LIE.
We share the information we have and don’t call each other out like assholes.
This is a public-facing post from their FB page

Thank you all for being the best part of IGMR.
971 means the IRS sent you a notice. The IRS will send a notice or a letter for any number of reasons. It may be about a specific issue on your tax return or account or may tell you about changes to your account, ask you for more information, or request a payment. Many times you can handle most of this correspondence without calling or visiting an IRS office if you follow the instructions in the document.
Sometimes it will be paired with 570 if there is a delay.
@thecommi5h: Yes this is normal. We are seeing a lot of people have the 570 drop off pretty quickly without any action needed by you.
But anything can happen…
Yes. You can be selected for IDV before Path lifts. However, if you already have the Path message on WMR I wouldn’t expect it and you should be good to go for an update on transcript on the 16th, WMR on 17th.
I like that idea. We’ve hated it too since then. I think fraudulently filed returns have been reduced some according to recent TIGTA reports. But it’s law. ugh. Don’t see it changing any time soon.
It is especially frustrating for weeklies!
There are State Forums broken down for each state if you want to check in there too.
We’d like to get an idea if people are getting the letters, or not getting the letter, how long it takes, if you verified in person, if you were able to do it online, what the WMR says for you, what the Online Account says…
This is what we expect if it works like prior years and according to the IRS ECC Calendar:
President’s Day will play a role with PATH this year. If it works like other years:
Thursday 2/15 PATH “expires” but we won’t see anything change on transcripts or WMR.
Friday 2/16 transcripts will update with Code 846 Refund Issued for Thursday 2/22.
Saturday 2/17 WMR will update with Direct Deposit Date for Thursday 2/22.
*There are cases where some people may get a direct deposit earlier than 2/22. In the cases where someone meets all of these conditions:
1) Paid Fees Up Front
2) Did NOT take a refund advance and
3) uses a NHB (no hold bank), a direct deposit could post to their account 1-4 days earlier. In these cases we anticipate the first date actual money could post is Friday 2/16 in the early afternoon.
*In cases where you don’t get an 846 code, you may see an additional transaction, for instance 570.
What is NHB vs TFI?

Why does my WMR show the Path Act Message? It should be fixed now. Please let me know if you see again, using @jemar707
810 is a freeze that likely is related to your return being selected for examination (audit). Don’t worry, sometimes it’s a quick process. It’s more involved than a review like 570. But it doesn’t mean fraud.
810 will likely be accompanied at one point by TC 424. That will confirm you are under examination (audit). It can be for a number of different reasons and some are easily resolved. Watch for a notice to be sent. It will tell you exactly what you need to do. Different letters go out for different things depending on what they are examining.
For instance, correspondence auditors usually will send Letter 566S for the audit of a specific item. Letter 566E is typically used for the audit of wages, withholding, and refundable credits, while CP 75 and CP 75A letters are commonly used for correspondence audits involving tax credits. Letter 718 is the Initial Contact Letter typically used for correspondence audits that involve self-employment tax.
Watch the mail.
February 8, 2024 at 5:09 pm in reply to: Just realized the tax guy charged $700 “filing fee” from my taxes #4535482I am so sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, these companies, even HRB would love for you to come in and think you can’t help yourself.
For the situation you described, you probably can do this easily on your own next year. Try FreetaxUSA next year. It’s really easy. It just asks you a series of questions that are easy to answer and will calculate it for you, submit efile for free for your federal income tax return. I think there is a fee of ~14.99 for submitting a state tax return. But that’s better than $600
I used TurboTax for many years and they are great at walking you through with questions as well. But they still charge 39.99+ for filing. When I learned about FreetaxUSA I never went back because I don’t have state taxes so mine is entirely free.
@ Tam4423: There are several reasons return can be selected for examination (audit) and some are just random. You would get a different letter depending on the reason.
The auditor has a choice of notices to send next. An initial audit contact letter about an audit is sent, however they can customize the letter depending on what they are inspecting.
Letter 566S is generally used for the audit of a specific item.
Letter 566E is typically used for the audit of wages, withholding, and refundable credits
CP 75 and CP 75A letters are commonly used for correspondence audits involving tax credits.
Letter 718 is the Initial Contact Letter typically used for correspondence audits that involve self-employment tax.So audits are a science. Keep us updated on the codes and notices you receive.
I am so sorry if you are getting emails about subscriptions to this topic that were not intended. Something broke in this thread and we are fixing it.
Freeze would be 810 and indicates your return was selected for examination (audit) with transaction code 424.
570 is just a review. It could be something as small as a math error that the IRS corrects themselves.
At the top of our blog is where you can read more about 570
https://igotmyrefund.com/tax-refund-status-is-still-being-processed/Try checking in our KY state forum: https://igotmyrefund.com/forums/forum/state-refunds/
So not to cause worry, N/A does not mean your return will be under examination (audit). If you are selected for an exam, it would be after your transcripts populate and there will be transaction codes such as 810 and 424.
810 is a refund freeze. It could be placed along with other codes that would help to see the reason why. For instance, there could be 424 posted that would be the return is going under examination which is different than review.
Here is a list of transaction codes to search if you see any other it will be helpful.

UPDATE from 1/31 6:00pm: Votes passed in The House of Representatives. Now it moves on to the Senate. It is still NOT a law. If it is even passed in both chambers of Congress, IRS still has to implement it.
@Amerie: according to the IRS Commissioner’s statement they will send the difference and taxpayers will not have to do anything.

Good idea! Sometimes they catch, sometimes they don’t.
The As Of date is like a “bookmark” for the IRS. A placeholder perhaps. It is a date that is used in the system so that some sort of action happens by that date. If no action has occurred, that date will change.
Path Act is not just about kids/dependent
Path Act does not apply to Child Tax Credit (CTC)
It only applies to refunds with Earned Income Tax Credi (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)
You can check lines 27, 28 and 19 on your 1040 to see which credits you claimed
Here is a guide:
https://igotmyrefund.com/path-act-delays-some-tax-refunds-and-when-the-path-act-lifts/There sees to be something, we don’t know what, where people are getting their advances immediately (minutes) upon being accepted. Then others just sitting there no advance, We don’t know what the common thing is, but we are watching.
@EM: We have seen many people get it with just acceptance. They told you need approved? At that point, you could just wait for your refund,
lol . so much to be said until we create a topic specifically for it.
Once you are accepted, you can use our refund cycle chart to see when to expect your refund. It includes dates for those people accepted in test batches.
@monica Did you get an email that your return was accepted? If so, it was part of a test batch. Otherwise, it is sitting on hold until the IRS officially opens on 1/29 this year. You can estimate the date to expect your refund based on the acceptance date.
Here is our refund cycle chart to help.
Sorry for the delay in moderation.
You might be ok with it processing. But afterward, you should file an amended return. If not, they can come back and adjust it automatically then send you a notice about changes.
@WhiteWolf: yes. Even if you are accepted early in a test batch, if your refund is subject to the Path Act it will be held until after 2/16.
This is how we think things will work with Path.
President’s Day will play a role with PATH this year.
If it works like other years:
Thursday 2/15 PATH “expires” but we won’t see anything change on transcripts or WMR.

Yall have got it figured out perfectly. EITC and ACTC is subject to Path Act.
Having CTC alone does not make your refund be held.
Good job spreading accurate info yall!
I’ve seen some. But they just pull small batches to test.
You might not be accepted until after 1/29 that is the official day when the IRS starts accepting tax returns. People that are being accepted earlier are part of test batches.
Yes the WMR will say that until your return is accepted.
No it won’t. It’s just automatically taken by The Department of Treasury
I haven’t seen a lot of HRB fillers either. Alot of people were inquiring about the HRB advance.
They accept on weekends during regular filing season when it officially opens on 1/29. But during test batches, we haven’t seen any today. We think the testing will start again on Monday.
It will say that until your return is accepted which will officially start on 1/29. The acceptances that are happening now are randomly selected for small test batches before the season starts.
Welcome back, everyone! Testing will go on through next week.

Let us know your question.
It was announced today by the IRS that the official opening day is 1/29
There usually are more people around the closer it gets to when the IRS officially begins accepting tax returns. That date hasn’t been announced yet but we think it be 1/22
You can post your question about IRS transcript here
You might want to check if people have showed up yet in our CA state tax refund forum. If not, lead the convo and take it away! Happy Taxmas 2023!
Congrats! It looks like a lot of people were included in the IRS test batch this year and got the same DDD! Happy Taxmas
Thanks for leading the conversation! Happy Taxmas
Yes we are seeing quite a few. There are a handful of people that always get their refund on a Monday. Our chart accounts for the mass updates, but it looks like you made the cut. Congrats!
Did you get accepted yesterday!? 🤞🏼
Many did! But we could seem them all week 😁The IRS announced yesterday the official opening for the tax season is January 23rd. Sometimes you could be accepted into a test batch. Although the test batch can go smoothly and people will see their refunds early, they aren’t always smooth and some refunds can actually be delayed.
Here is our estimate for when test batches and first acceptances might be seen.

Nice! Congrats on the first 2023 topic!
🤣A massive number of people got their refund on 2/24 and the traffic has indeed died down. But there are still people lingering that are held up for various reasons. Sometimes you will find more people active on our main page discussion in the comments:

We learned that too recently. Looking for a new hack to talk to a human on the grapevine. Report back here if you find a way and we will update!
Thank you for sticking around to help! You are right that 05’s can be dailies. Congrats on your progress.
This is what we say about transcripts:
Grapevine Announcement 🍇
FUN FACTS ABOUT DAILY & WEEKLY ACCOUNTS (that we know from your cousin’s sister’s best friend’s uncle/daddy. Or, from reading the IRM.)
-New cycle codes are generated each year, based on several different factors.
-Cycle codes are related to the day transactions post to the IMF.
-Posting to the IMF does NOT mean updating on the Transcript or WMR.
-Whether you were daily or weekly last year will not, with certainty, mean you are daily or weekly this year. However, it can be a clue.
-Cycle codes ending in 01, 02, 03, 04 are absolutely daily accounts.
-Transactions on accounts ending in 01, 02, 03, 04 can post to the IMF on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
-Cycle code ending in 05 can be either daily OR weekly.
-Transactions on weekly accounts ending in 05 can post to the IMF ONLY on Thursday.
-Transactions on daily accounts ending in 05 can post to the IMF on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
-On a transcript, some transactions you can see, some you can’t. The IRS doesn’t show their whole hand.
-When transactions occur and post to your account on the IMF, MOST times you can see the transaction on your transcript the following day (transaction codes, like 570, 846, etc) and the WMR may update the next day (status updates, reference codes, deposit dates.)
-If your cycle code ends in 05, there is just about no way to know with certainty that you are either daily or weekly, unless you filed with an IP Pin (weeklies for sure) or someone from the IRS tells you. Good luck with that, you’d probably be told the wrong thing anyway by a rep. Hell, you might even get the wrong info from a Tax Advocate.
-If your cycle code ends in 05 you can only use clues to guess if you are daily or weekly.
-Dailies with an 05 and weeklies with an 05 just so happen to be posting together. They “share the day”, if you will.
-An easy way to remember the cycle of how things post and update is this:
Transaction Posts to the IMF on a day, the following day depending on the type of transaction…transcript might update, the following day…depending on the type of transaction that occurred, the WMR might update.
-If your WMR updates on Saturday you likely are a weekly account or you are a daily who shares the day with weeklies who didn’t update. This is disputed by many, but is the only thing that makes sense.
