Has anybody received their tax refund after getting a 4464c letter this year? It’s a simple yes or no question. I don’t need you stupid people to type/copy paragraphs of information from turbo tax! I don’t care about what happened last year. I’m talking about this year only.

I don’t understand the method they use to process these forms. I know it depends on who processes your claim, but how do they dole them out to the processors? Is it by state, social security numbers, last names? Is it computerized or do they get the actual forms handed to them? I have nightmares of our form being on the bottom of an in box somewhere, and all the new forms get heaped on top of it.
One would think that it was computerized. And as an agent finished one form, the next form in line would pop up, but I don’t think that’s how it’s done.
I have seen so many people on here that submitted everything after us, and who have already either seen refunds or at least the 846 code.
I looked back 4 years, and every single one of ours was completed on the last possible day in the 11th week time frame. Almost as if they held it to that day.
My return was accepted on Tuesday February 6th. I efiled thru turbo tax, and included the IS form with it. I’m stuck on Cycle date 20150505 and -2/23/2015.

I have another update. As I told you Friday I’ve had the 1121 code and told my return was under random review for 5 weeks already. I got a ta Tuesday and sent her my proof of income. Today I received a 4883c letter and it told me to call the irs bc they need more information. I decided to try idverify.irs.org to see if they needed a I’d verification and it worked! I was able to verify my I’d and it said it takes 6 weeks. My question is a. Do I still need to call the number and b does it really take 6 weeks. That would make my return going on 14 weeks and longer than the 60 days the irs told me on the phone on 1/29. please help. Thank you.

punda no it doesnt mean all of it went to the offset u have to wait for the next update for them to release the rest of the money

jen yes its the hold up and no they wont take what ur owe until u agree to the debt.. then once u do they will give u the remainder ur looking a another 3 -4 weeks of delays

so tired i would contact the id verify department to make sure ur not in that… once u verify ur not then u just have to wait i know its annoying but any one that has been involved with id issues the return are looked at with a fine tooth comb

angelray u need to contact the irs either ur under review or id verify or HCA is effecting ur return… u need to try and narrow the reasons down then we can go from there

nsee yeah u should only be a week or 2 out they should complete the processing this week coming up if they actually are processing the return

crystal means the end of the cycle date max time frame till new cycle… u cant go by that date for it can just change under review takes about 4-5 weeks to complete then ur processing

now I got a letter in the mail on Thursday it said I don’t need to do anything at all it said like 4 reasons the letter could be sent for 2 are for a business and 2 for single person which the 2 reasons were TAX WITHHELD OR INCOME REPORTED is all it could be for me why its being delayed my refund!!
so by the dates and codes I listed could you please tell me when you think I might receive a refund cause I really need the money my kids are hungry thank you so much!!!

Hello Bart, my return was accepted on 2/20; and just got this update on WMR this morning, and the codes on my transcript so are: 150, 806, 766, 826 and 971

Does this message mean that <ALL> my tax refund has been applied to a past debt: I know there is a past state tax of about $2K owed, but not much else, and I am expecting more than 3K in Federal refund, so should I be concerned that all my refund has been applied?

How can I find more information about past IRS debt – any website to locate this information?

I filed on 1/20 accepted the same day. Went unpostable because of name change, due to marriage somewhere along the way. I called and spoke with a rep, that helped me with that problem, was told it was fixed as of 2/18 on 2/20 I was able to see account transcript, however it had all zeros on it. on 2/27 I was able to see updated transcripts with a date of 3/16 cycle date 20150805 had codes 150,806,766,766,768 and 150 the 150 code has 3/16/2015. I called the IRS and they said I should receive my refund or a notice before April 2nd. I had received a notice from the IRS in December about unreported income on my 2013 tax return due to a cancellation of bad debt and I owed 992.00. I called the number on the notice and spoke to a lady that told me that this would not hold up my return this year, because it would have to go through the proper channels to be posted on my account. I looked at my 2013 account transcript and it showed a 922 with zeros with the date of 12/22. On Friday my 2014 transcript updated now to show the as of date of 3/23/2015 and it has a new code of 971 notice sent with the date of 3/23/2015. I looked back at my 2013 transcript and it has also updated it now says as of 3/23/2015 and the 922 code on it has updated to 3/16/2015 but still has zeros. Does this mean that they are going to take what I owe out of my refund? And is this going to hold up the refund even more this year, is there anything I can do to speed this up at all? Should I go to the local office?

Got my letter dated February 2, just the very vague 4464c letter. Wasn’t able to view transcripts until February 12 but it has the 570 code with a date of march 2 by it. That date has passed but still haven’t seen any updates. Filed January 26

Hey there fellow IS filers! So my husband filed via turbotax on January 26th and then on February 4th his whole refund(9k) was offset to pay my unpaid student loans(i haven’t worked in 2 years) from before we were even married. So after some research we found out about the injured spouse form so on February 9th he went down to our local IRS office and filled it out without attaching anything(w2…) and turned it in that same day. After 1 week he found out you can check transcripts online and there was nothing on there about the IS form even being received so on February 23 he called and spoke to an IRS agent who said yes it had been received 2/9 and give it 6-8 weeks. Then on 2/27 the transcript finally updated to 971 IS received. On 3/6 the transcript gave code 846 refund issued cycle 20150905 they did keep around 1800$ which i am assuming from what we have read is minus the married tax break but at least we finally know money is coming this way thank God lol. We do live in California a community property state

Hoping you can shed some light, here’s what’s going on with me:

1/28 tried to e-file (TAXACT) , was rejected do to someone used dependents ssn to
file.
1/31 mailed n return and tracked it
2/2 IRS received it
2/12 showed up on WMR
2/14 Bar disappeared
2/27 Called IRS, told to call back in 6-8 weeks (didn’t even ask me ssn or name)
3/3 Called IRS and was told nothing needed from me at this time and told that if I
I haven’t received refund by 4/23/15 to call back
3/6 Called IRS back the agent said they got my return on 2/7 and that I needed to
wait 6-8 weeks from 2/9 because I was under Review and couldn’t tell me why.
said she was echoing what the other agent said, and to keep checking WMR.

This is the third or fourth year I have had this identity theft, in 2012 I didn’t get my refund until 5/28 and last year I got I within a week and this year it is taking so long. I really need this money. I can’t order transcript online and I try by mail and nothing available. When I mailed in my return I did include the id theft form along with daughters ID. Do you think I will see something before April 23?

@luDai hope your wait isn’t too much longer….it seems to be a crazy year with weekly and daily updates resulting in dif wmr updates for same day efilers :( not sure if it helps you but I was on just one bar with no movement for exactly two weeks (filed on the 19th of February) finally two bars and a ddd with last nights batch update (which I assume I fell into the “weekly” category)…..and I had no freezes id issues etc.
You should get an update by next weekend at the latest I assume!….but hopefully sooner if the irs starts moving a little faster :(

When i called the IRS sounding lady (seriously lol) told me I was pulled from the system because of ID flag, and the letter was mailed out 3 days ago! I told her i did ID verify earlier that day and if I would have to complete it again., She said no, but the eta is 6 weeks max to received my refund. I’m screwed! I counted my eggs before they hatched and now I’m about to homeless. Lesson learned…no rely on refund ever!! I still haven’t seen any updates on WMR or any new transcripts available and this was 3 days ago.

Hi, this year is really strange it seems reading all the different it’s issues everyone is having. I filed on 1/08 excepted 1/12. Bars disappeared two weeks later. When I was able to pull transcripts I had a 570 code along with the normal codes. The 570 had a date of 3/2 so I’ve been patient. Then this Last Monday I see a second 570 code with the date of 3/9. I have not received any letters at all. So I thought I would check transcripts today and noticed that the 2014 account transcripts and 2014 record of account are gone and now say “NA” where the dates just for 2014 should be. I’ve lost all patience now, have you any idea why this would be? I’m so confused!

Can anyone help me decifer this transcript date for my dd? I’m not sure when my refund should be deposited. I filed 1/26 and finally my transcripts updated yesterday. It also had a code of 846 I believe and it said refund issued but I need to know when to expect it sonce my son is scheduled for dental surgery in a week and I need these funds to cover the deductible. There taking there time called today was told that it was sent to review on Feb 12 I was accept on Jan 30th. Said I have tell April 30th to see my refund. It seems like the smart thing to do is file without this form then send it in and it would be a short time.

I filed 2/2. Lost bars told I was put in manual review for identity issues. I’ve been told 6-8 weeks from 2/9. TA sent identity verification and request to release refund 2/17..

WMR now says “your refund is still being processed”.

3/10 my TA is suppose to contact me. Irs says no letters being sent and thy need nothing from me. Any idea or estimation of refund?

my state return was accepted on 2/3 and mass.gov shows it was released on 2/13 however republic bank still says have not received it… we are now into march and I can not get a live person to talk to… this is very frustrating anyone have any ideas

Nicole- Google IRS transcripts. It will take you to the IRs website to order your transcripts. You can either view them online or have them send you a copy in the mail. If you click view online you can either view them as a guest or create a username so that you can sign in to check your transcripts. In order to create an account it will ask you some questions to verify your identity.

The 570 means you have a freeze to your “release of funds” contact irs if you haven’t gotten a letter! The cycle date you are referring to is only the date the irs posted your account to their system….and it would have been released the same day IF you also had code 846 but due to the hold you have to wait for 571 which means freeze is lifted! Good luck!!

The cycle date shows when the irs will post your account to the system…a dd happens within one day or on same day!! So it’s not an “actual” ddd (the cycle date that is) but since they release it within their system it also gets released to the bank…or a check will be issued shortly after!
Now do to you 570 freeze your account did post to system on the cycle date (that has past). Thankfully it has been lifted and taken care of which your code 571 applies to….now I believe your status ( with ddd ) will be updated with the next update batch (since you now have a 846 ;))….I believe this will happen tonight/early AM….almost certain that you get your refund next week ;) good luck!!! Ps I would think you get a ddd of 3/11 but I am not 100%

I filed my IS first week of February. My transcript updated Tuesday 3/3 with code 846 refund issued and a cycle code 20150805. From what I have researched that cycle code was Wednesday or Thursday. But I have no money and WMR still says we have received your refund and are processing it. Anyone know what is happening

if your refund is 10,000 the 971 is telling you it’s not going to be direct deposit you will get mailed check

I have been dealing with supposed fraud. I guess last year someone tried to file as me and it didn’t. I finally got everything resolve. but I was told to not check transcripts online. I heard that it restart the delayed process all over.

I called the IRS and talked to a nice man who informed me that the IRS is still holding my money. He also informed that I did the right thing by getting a tax advocate involved because they can get things moving fast as of March 5th there was a case number open up for me. My tax advocate will be calling me on Monday, so I pray that the tax advocate will get things to moving fast like that man said. I will keep giving y’all an update on this.

3 hours trying to dial in, finally got through to an IRS rep…

Apparently, because I moved and there were “address changes” between the last time i filed and this time, they suspected identity theft/fraud… so they decided to send a letter to the address that I no longer live at to verify my identity, and when they got no response assumed that identity theft was indeed the problem.

During the call i answered about 25-30 questions to verify my identity, and apparently now they will send a letter via snail mail to my new apartment which holds the instructions to help me finalize that I certainly am myself so I may finally have access to my stupid refund.

CALL THEM DILIGENTLY… many of you may not know that their phone lines are open until 7pm… i started calling in around 4:30pm… make sure you hit the right numbers to get to a rep… Have your previous years tax info & weird random stuff like your mother’s maiden name/ your last 10 addresses/etc/ etc

I wanted to give you an update. I filed on 1/21 received a DDD of 1/30 then on 1/29 received a 1121 code. Everytime I contacted the irs they told me your return was randomly selected for a random review And that I needed to wait 60 days. On my transcript I have the refund issued/refund cancelled for 2-16. It has been 6 weeks since I’ve filled and 5 weeks since I received the 1121 code. Still no progress so I opened a case with a ta on Tuesday and I sent her my proof of income to see if that may have them release it. Any ideas of how much longer I have to wait? Any people with the same issue receive their money yet? It’s frustrating! 60 days will be at the end of the month and 3 more weeks

Great news for IS fillers refunds are starting to get issued. I filled electronically on 2/6 accepted on 2/6 My cycle number was 20150605 with a date of 3/2 My transcripts updated today with a 846 on 3/23 my cycle num changed to 20150905 so just hang on a little longer they are working on it. I did call the irs a lot of times though so idn if that had anything to do with it. Here is the irs num i called not that long of a wait maybe 15 to 30 mins and they are actually nice and took the time to look up everything and explain what was going on i know i have been stress these pass couple of days but its finally coming so GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!!! 1 (800) 829-0582 ext. 652

To those with 846 codes on their transcripts that are now viewable as of today…with a cycle code of 20150905…you with see a change (possibly) on wmr at the latest by Monday (although I assume by tomorrow)….with a ddd of the 11th…release depending on your bank! The date 3/23 doesn’t mean anything relevant (hasn’t for others in the past) as long as you have a 846 (release of funds) good luck to y’all!
