Hi, this IS just to help some people who had the disappering bars. I filed on 3/17/2015 was accepted the same day. The next day i checked wmr showed one bar, 4 days later the bar disappered. After 4 weeks I called the IRS and was told my return was on hold because i needed to verify my identity. Once i done that i was told it would take about 6 weeks.
Good news IS after 2 weeks checked wmr AND the message had changed to ( WE have received your tax return AND it IS being processed ) I then checked my transcripts finally my return transcript was available i got my account transcript on line and finally it showed a cycle code and a great 846 code ( refund issuded ). Checked wmr the next morning finally had the bars back with refund approved and a ddd of 4/28. My bank is already showing the pending deposit and will be available on 4/28/2015.
So if anyone else is going with missing bars it doesnt mean your being audited or at least for me it didnt just a simple id verification. So there IS hope folks.

My battle is over! IRS check arrived today! 86 days after e-filing. I don’t think my situation was common (I really hope not) as we e-filed the Injured Spouse form with our taxes, and had to open a claim with both federal and state to re-process our papers to get my refund. If that had not happened, I would have gotten my money the last week of March.

Really hope the best for all of you!

I have read in other forums that an 846 code means your money has been released and that the 5/11 is the date for a paper check, but if you have direct deposit you should have your funds by next Wednesday like me! I got my refund has a Facebook page as well and that is where I got that info! You should check it out for yourself! Congratulations if that is the case, the wait is almost over!!!

Possible movement on mine. My transcripts now show the legendary code 846 with the date 5/11 so. Maybe next month for me?

So for the last 3 Friday’s I’ve checked my transcripts, and the date at the top has shown April 27th, then on Monday it reverts back to March 23rd. So today I called since yesterday was 8 weeks, and was told there was a back log, and basically wait another 30 days. I was like WHAT, it is being reviewed, but that was all she could say.

                    Any thoughts or insights?

When some people’s as of date changes they get a refund date a few days later and others have gotten another notice in the mail saying they are under review for 60 days.

Here we are again another week down and still nothing. As our fridges lay bare and our cars fall apart! As our bills pile up day after day and our bosses hover over us trying to find a reason to fire us, we still go with out one red cent from the government that claims that they will give us what we are owed. I have never in my life been so completely disgusted with a government entity. Its like get a freaking grip people! Yes I might have been flagged for whatever I was flagged for, but how about you come up with a system that tells people about these problems? Instead we sit and wait for what seems like the end of time for them to tell us something that could have been told to us in the beginning with our initial phone call.

I awoke yesterday to a word change on my WMR. I don’t know why I still check that thing it doesn’t tell me anything I want to know. it was “your return has been received and it is still being processed” now it says ” we have received your return and it is being processed”. I don’t really know what that means and nor I think its going to bring on my return any faster. I called my tax advocate who I am just noticing today doesn’t speak very good English and he told me that my money should be deposited in my account on April 29th. So is this the end of my journey I do not know, and I won’t be holding my breath to find out. If my money is in fact deposited then I will give you guys the news but if not, I hope my boss holds out so I can try to find another job…

Well, if it’s of ANY comfort, I filed Turbo Tax on 1/30 and am still waiting….”Still Being Processed.” Long story, they needed another 1095 copy in March, I sent that and just found out that they claim they never received it or ???? So, I re-sent AND faxed it on 4/21. Today, the lady told me that they received my fax on Tuesday and now I get to wait another 30 days. We ALL get the “WAIT-WAIT-WAIT” run-around. I believe that they are SO swamped with folks complaints, and trying to locate where-the- heck their returns are, that that has just become a ‘regular’ response. I’m told that it is often advantageous to personally drive to your local IRS office and speak to a person face-to-face. It’s all such B.S that I have resorted to waiting and maybe by just making occasional calls to look into things, I will finally get a change of response! The only number I have gotten through to is 1-800-829-0582 EXT 652. Usually I won’t wait more than 10-15 mins as they will alert you as to a wait time. But give them a try if you haven’t already!

I filed the first week of February and am getting the same “generic blanket response” that everyone is apparently getting. I’ve called 3 times and all 3 times wad given the same answer and was basically told there’s nothing they can do until it’s been processed. So Does that mean I should expect it this year, next year, year after? Must be nice to be able to make us wait an unacceptable amount of time to refund us our money but if you owed, you better have it in by April 15th or get ready for interest and late fees. Hypocrites!

                                    Karin

I did not file my PA refund through TurboTax (I had a CPA do mine through E-file) I was in a different tax situation for 2014, as my husband died in late 2013 and I received his benefits in early 2014, and I reported his life insurance benefits to both the state (PA) and Federal. I do not get a federal refund, but my CPA submitted my state return through e-file on March 10. The state asked for additional information which my CPA submitted, and when I checked the PA website it was received on March 18. It is now April 24, 2015, and between then and now, it said “we received correspondence regarding your return. Our review is not yet complete”. This morning (on April 24, 2015) I checked the PA website for my return status and now it says “Your return is awaiting a routine review. Our review is not yet complete”. So now we are in the 5th week since the state received the additional information requested, and they are still processing it. It was done through e-file by my CPA and I have direct deposit. Is this because of my different tax situation, why it is taking so long? I never had a history of reporting “windfalls” to the state or federal.

Finally after 10 weeks of back and forths my refund issued code 846 displayed on my transcript this morning. My expected refund date is May 11, 2015. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

                                        Brief summary

IS filled with an amended return after offset and received by IRS on Feb 17. Amendment processed on April 6. Reversal codes processed on April 13 and 20. Refund issued code (today) with an expected deposit/ paper check dated of May 11, 2015.

Wow – This tax season was rough but I will be prepared next year.

It’s been a long process for me too after finding out I was a victim of ID Theft, having to verify my identity, and showing proof of my wages it’s been a long journey and I’m hoping it’s coming to an end. Only thing my WMR hasn’t updated at all but every Rep I speak with says my refund has been released so we will see.

I hope you receive your money soon as well. I know the furstration you have from having to be patient and wait but hopefully you will get it soon. I will keep you updated if I receive mines next week or not! ;)

I have received my state return already but not my federal. It just says “Your Tax Return is still being processed.” and is showing the amount. There are no bars or codes or anything. I haven’t been able to get a hold of a living person calling the IRS yet either.

I’m not sure really what to do at this point.

They pulled it for review she said because of fraudulent returns being received. My return included, my salary, my son, the daycare expense. That’s it! They told me to call back in 6 months. I just spent 1 hour and 26 minutes on hold with the IRS. I’m still trying to get my 2013 return!!! They told me that they were supposed to send a 4464C, which they never did. The woman at the IRS was very nice and sent a referral over to whoever has control of my return. I filed and already received my 2014 return. Ridiculous. I need to charge them penalties and interest.

I’m still in the wind waiting on ours too. We had a deposit date of 2/11. They said the bank rejected it and then it went into review. Have been waiting since. We have received the letter stating that we didn’t need to do anything. So guess its just a waiting game. Our cycle date was 20150505.

After months of trying to contact them, I finally spoke with someone who told me that there was nothing wrong with my taxes, they needed no information or paperwork from me, but that I would have to wait “maybe 3-6 months” for my refund due to new security measures. Did ANYONE ELSE get this response? I was told that my refund would accrue interest over this time.

I checked my transcripts, only have codes :106 846 806 nothing about being applied to non irs debt or anything like that. Just the code 846 refund issued. Would there be code if the money went to a debt like student loans or child support?

Couldn’t see my transcripts prior to ID verify. They were n/a. Recieved 570 on transcripts after ID verifying which is normal I know that. Now have been stuck on return is still be processed date will be provided when available. No bars. Topic 152. What to do my weeks are up and nothing. I don’t qualify for a advocate. My as of date is Aoril 6, 2015. It changes randomly all the time to April 27, 2015 and then goes back to April 6, 2015. Sometimes it will stay at April 27,, through out the day and then randomly switches back to April the 6, 2015. Makes no sense whatsoever.

It’ll ask if you agree with the amount owed, press 1 – DON’T. You should hear hold music, and if the auto-voice comes back with “We’re sorry…” hang up and try again. We usually do this a few times before we get through, though we are generally calling between 8am – 10am. If you get through, it’ll start rambling on automated information, like filing forms, etc tax topics – that’s good, because you got through! Hold time is usually a half hour, though a few times it was around 1 hour. Good luck.

I wish I could help you more, but I’m playing the waiting game too. They incorrectly took my portion of the refund even with an injured spouse form filed. Apparently the issued me a refund (after waiting another 4 weeks) almost 2 weeks ago and I have yet to receive it. I chose direct deposit but it’s apparently been mailed as of Monday. My wmr has never updated past processing, lost the bars a week after filling Jan 28.

Does anyone know what the as of date mean here?
How can I have as of date of May when it’s still in April???\

Will it be the date that I suppose to expect my refund?
Or is that the date they will start on my return?
                                                                                                                                Any idea?

Has anyone else here who had a future as of date as mine & if you had, could you share what happened on AT THAT DATE?

Since I have TA, IRS wouldn’t say anything, and my TA is not calling me back…

                                                                                                                                Any insight will be appreciated.

I called today 4/22 and the lady told me my refund had been processed but still pending then she mumbled off something to herself about cycle code 20151604 can anybody tell me what this means? Thank you

Say for example, your original refund is $2500, and the amended return says you owe $500. Then your actual refund would be $2000.

in reply to: 2015 Tax Season #4111487

It now says I owe money when really I still should be receiving a refund. The only thing that changed on the amended was the federal tax income withheld. Why is it saying I owe money now when I never received my original refund and I still should get a refund instead of paying in?

Received a letter on 3/23 asking for my 1095. Faxed to IRS on 3/24. Have heard nothing since. I have been filing income taxes since 1987 and have never had a problem until this year because of the 1095. Why are we being punished for their stupidity? UGH!!!1

The only letter I have received was one immediately following filing my return stating that my account needed further review and I would be updated within 45 days (I think it actually said no longer than 45 days). A financial hardship allowed me access to a tax advocate but that was a waste of time. After allowing the time I was given to use the advocate expire so that I could finally speak to the IRS directly (when you have an advocate, the IRS won’t give you ANY information- they refer you back to your advocate), IRS customer service told me that they didn’t see anything that would cause my refund to be held and that they submitted a request for my account to be reviewed for the hold to be released. I was told to call again in 30 days if I wasn’t notified sooner. So I called 30 days later. This time, I was told that my refund was placed on hold because they needed my employer to verify my information- however, they were apologetic about my refund STILL being on hold since my employer verified my information as soon as it was requested, last year. Another request for the hold to be removed was said to have been submitted and I was told it would be resolved within 30-45 days. That was March 4th- my transcript hasn’t been updated so I’m sure when I call today, I’ll be hanging up with another 30-45 day waiting period. It’s just unreal.

What does everyone think, from their experience, that I will have good news on the morning??!

Good luck.

That was five days ago. I didn’t click the box to have a paper check mailed, so am just wondering what is up.

I now have a 766 code states reversal of refund applied to non-IRS debt then there is a 290 additional tax assessed code, which has a zero amount, the next line is a 971 notice issued code. I have two sets of these as they reversed two offsets. The cycle dates are included on the 290 code lines. Under each of these is also a long set of numbers and which are also under my initial tax return filed line…

We are just desperate. I couldn’t get ahold of the tax advocates… A machine is constantly answering saying no one is in the office, with no way to leave a message. GRRRR

I check my transcript last week and it showed one amount reversed, and then I checked again this week and there is an additional amount being reversed. I am excited, but confused as to when they will send me my money. I didn’t check the box so I assume it will get direct deposited…

Where’s my refund showed that money was actually sent to my bank, but then I received a notice saying it was taken. This was before I filed my injured spouse claim. It still shows they sent XXX amount to my bank and that if it doesn’t arrive to talk to my bank. GRRRR… You think they would update that if they steal your money.

Needless, I am gonna have to file singly next year. :(

Also the notice sent dates haven’t even occurred yet. I got a notice in the mail last week and it is dated April 27th. How can they post date notices?

I would go on the WMR site and at first I had the orange bars then they disappeared. I called the IRs on Feb 5, 2015, and was told my return was in the Errors Resolution Department and I would be receiving a letter. After 6 more calls, no letter, and getting a different answer every time I called, I decided to send in my information again through the mail. Well this action got the ball rolling, but I forgot to sign my return. The return was sent back to me on April 4, 2015 and I signed and submitted it again on April 6th through the mail. On April 18th, I finally received the letter I was supposed to get two months ago. The letter stated I had to submit a 8962 form and submit my 1095A form. I had to fax a letter saying that I had already submitted the information in the forms that I mailed back on April 6, 2015. I have never experienced anything like this. Being told the IRS has a department that you cannot contract is just frustrating. Also being totally disrespected on the telephone by this IRS agents has just totally depressed me. I am facing financial dire straits because of the holdup of my refund. I filed TurboTax and they have been no help at all.

I called the Tax Advocates who informed me that I am not to call them. I called the 800 829 1040 and the prompts to check my refund sent me to an automated “check” of “still processing” and then hung up; the other prompts were business or personal and business as it relates to health care. I’m just trying to call a number and wait in the right queue. Instead, I call a number and pissed off IRS rep tells me I’ve called the wrong number and that I should call the number on the page (800 829 1040)–and it’s on me, my fault, instead of their wacky phone system. It’s like navigating a hedge maze.
