Note wmr still does not reflect refund sent.
I ordered transcripts 3/4 had an 846
I had 2 1099’s and eic, and student loan pymt interest
total process took 12 calendar days.

I got the review letter a week or so after I ordered my transcripts, though I don’t really know that it has anything to do with it. I was accepted on 1/29 and have been able to view and order transcripts since 2/14. No updates since then and no refund. Cycle code 20140705 and a processing date of 3/3.

I called the IRS today because it had been longer than 21 days since i e-filed. The rep told me I had a hold because of a debt to the dept of revenue and my income needed to verified because my employer never reported our wages. Still no bars and no luck.

I filed 2/5/2014 it got accepted 2/6, when I checked the IRS the bar was on stage 1 and on 2/23/14 the bar stop showing and now all it says is Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. There is nothing under notes. I spoke to a rep today and he said mine was pulled for review- it should take up to 8 weeks. So by April 18. 14. He didn’t say anything about red flags or a letter. This year I did file married joint and this is the first year me and my husband did it. SO I am hoping its that. I have no idea what else it could be. SMH it does suck that the IRS can take their time to issue our checks but are so fast to take every penny before we even see it. but I guess that’s life.. smh

@Christian’s Mommy – My transcript had no additional codes. It was largely normal. Accepted 2/18, Got my DDD on WMR on 2/28 and it told me 3/5.

Deposit went through the first portion this AM (Republic Bank to take fees out)

I had something similar happen last year with me, and it ended up taking about 6 weeks with the child tax credit. Hopefully it won’t be that long for you.

I pulled my trans and see that I claimed the Addtnl Child Tax Credit in error (I only have one child). The IRS already took the 630 off of my expected refund amount and it is updated in the AT’s. Under where it shows ‘Tax Return Filed’ on the AT, I have a Cycle Code of 20140905. I got curious about this and called the IRS yesterday. I got a very young sounding girl who did not seem to know much more than I did from the AT’s. She put me on hold and came back to say that ‘bc I filed MFS they are reviewing my Child and Dependant Care Expenses which could take 60days’. She also said there was a letter sent to me last week but that she didn’t know what the letter said or what it meant. I explained about the ACTC and she confirmed what I was seeing. I asked if that was in fact the issue that she was referring to and she said it could be. That led me to ask her if she could see the letter and she said no… I asked if she could see anything besides my transcript and she said basically, no. Then, I asked if it was possible that the ACTC was the issue and, since the IRS alrdy dealt with it, it was possible my refund could already be in process of release/DD and that the system/AT was just not updated yet… and she said that was possible. It seems to me the IRS reps just do not know what is going on outside of the recent AT’s which, to my understanding, are not updated more than once a week.

Has anyone else had this type of issue? I am trying to be patient and wait and I know the letter is on its way but I just cannot stand the mismanaged way this is handled every year.

Any thoughts and shared experiences are greatly appreciated :-)

I am still at 1 bar too. Funny though, it was accepted 2/22 according to our accountant, but nothing ever showed up on the wmr site until Sunday 3/2 and as received 3/2 1 bar! Lets keep in touch with this. I will keep posting when new updates, you too?

I submitted my TT refund late on 2/21 and it was accepted early 2/22. I also am still at one bar, nothing more, but also see how 53% of people that filed the same day on TT are noted to have already received their money. Interesting, wondering how long this will take? Seems crazy how people already had their money within a week (53%), while others not even approved yet. Hoping for a quick turnaround!!!

turbo tax is still reporting that 55% of their customers who filed on 2/22 have received a refund, which means that they don’t give DDD’s every day. that is some relief.

H&R e-filed for me on 02/25 and I was notified it was accepted by the IRS within the hour, via email. Somehow by 02/28 my refund was already approved and I have two bars in WMR with a DD of 03/05. I also have reviewed my 2013 tax account transcript and I have 20140905 as my cycle date so everything is moving along smoothly for deposit this week, right?

I had a change in my refund amount due to incorrectly selecting the Additional Child Tax Credit (I only have one.). My AT/TRT/etc. show that they made the adjustment themselves. WMR just shows that it is processing. I filed 2/18, accepted same day.

What I am wondering is whether this info showing 971/570 was put in there b/c of the changes they have already made or not. I know you cannot tell me for certain but I am wondering if I should even be concerned at all or if it is all just SOP.

Can anyone confirm if they have received their refund based on the dates for DDD on the aforementioned calendar(s)? I am in the 20140905 group so I am hoping for 3/5/14. I filed and was accepted on 2/18/2014 so that will be almost exactly 2wks. I pulled my transcripts and I have codes 971 (Notice Issues) and 570 (Addtl Action Pending). I believe it is because there was a mistake on my end but the IRS corrected it themselves and recalculated the refund. They then updated my refund amount to reflect their correction. Could this be why it has codes 971 and 570? I just want something to put my mind at ease b/c no one at Turbo Tax seems to have a clue.

No update for me, still 1121, 841 refund cancelled. I looked through posts from the 2/6ers that had the 1121 problem. It appears it took approx. 2 weeks for them to get a deposit after the 1121 showed up. Most that were supposed to get it 2/6 got it 2/21, which was a Friday. Who knows, no rhyme or reason behind what the IRS does.

i wanted to add that i compared my two returns where I had 1099’s a few years ago…it seems like I had to wait 5 weeks for a ddd. i checked the dates that i filed vs the dates that I received a deposit. sucks because i’m going on a vacation at the end of the month so I won’t know if I have any extra spending money until the last minute!

hi cece. thanks for the update! we filed on the same day and saw our bar/tax topic on the same day. unlike you, i don’t have a simple w-2, so it is expected that my return take a few more days, since I had additional claims and some 1099’s. I am not even going to bother calling them until friday. I have a question for you. do you know when your 2013 transcripts were available to see? i still can’t see mine.

Woke this morning to refund approved and message that says refund scheduled to be sent to my bank by 3/5/14. We will see again….side not I checked wmr around 2:30am and the message wasnt there yet, so I guess the updates happen after that butt before 9am.

I used TaxACT, and they show state was accepted on 2/7. On MS website, it says:

“Your return has not processed. If your return was mailed, please allow 4 to 8 weeks for your return to process. If your return was electronically filed and its been more than 7 days, we did not receive your return. Please allow an additional 15 days before calling. No other information is available from any Department of Revenue employee.”

How can they say they did not receive the return, and how long is this going to take? I have never had a problem with e-filing MS state taxes.

So maybe I am jumping the gun here but H&R e-filed my return on 02/25 and it was accepted by the IRS within the hour. I checked WMR today and it only has one bar that says received, BUT when I pulled my 2013 account transcript I have code 846 “Refund Issued” and cycle 20140905 so is it really possible that my refund was DD’d on 02/27 or is the cycle date not relevant until WMR says approved and has more bars than just one?

Please advise.
