hi Bart i just had a question because my return was accepted on the 21st I called and talked to the IRS several times and I was getting everything is okay then Monday I talk to someone and she went through my account and told me that I went under review on the 25th and it would take 6-8 weeks from 25th she went on to ask me have I talked to the identity theft people ask me what they say I told her that they said everything was fine and they sent out my 2012 and 2013 trans and said 2014 was not available because I was not done processing and she took note of that and asked me for my current address and a number to be reached at do you know what that means
my ddd was for 2/4/15 but funds didnt load onto my card until 2/5/15 at 9am….hope this helps!!
Filed 1/20 and accepted same day. My bar disappeared last Saturday morning but still have 152 topic and refund amount. Called Tuesday morning and was told I have offset ( which I knew about) and it would be two weeks. My offset is balance from state tax and is less than my refund. I had Obamacare all year and I do not owe anything on that. I think they are just telling everyone two weeks if you filed on the 20th.
Who has NOT got their money?
rae yes and no the irs cannot freeze the account for an offset without a balance but they have the right to stop or freeze a return pending investigation on another return for potential money owed or fraud
DDD of today and nothing…… Same thing happened to me last year, no explanation then either. Deposit showed up 2 weeks later..
Anyone with an account now card have a ddd of 2/11/15 receive their refund?
No progress here… WMR still at one bar. Filed just after the cut off time on the 6th for that cycle. No transcripts yet either. Got to love this waiting game.

The year showed up on my transcripts but when I would open them nothing was in the file just 0’s4 Days ago my bar disappeared ( I though ..ok we are getting close) Nothing …waited till the magical 21 days had past and even gave an extra day before calling.
One the first call I got a very helpful lady who researched my account but could not help me. She finally came on and told me I needed to call the ID Verify dept. I called them and got a very nice woman named Ms Evans. She research and found TT had sent a EMPTY FILE…it was just enough to give me a file number in the IRS system but absolutely NOTHING was in it..no return found. This caused the IRS computer to flag my account!
She asked me a ton of questions to verify i was who i said I was and it was my account. Then told me I would have to go into the nearest IRS office (45miles one way) and give them my ss card and Id as well as my childrens birth certificates!
After getting off the phone with her I proceeded to call TT…waited 45 minutes to get a person who asked my name and email and was obviously new…then without another word but me back in que to transfer. I FINALLY got Anothy from TT on the phone and after about an hour of him relaying messages to tier 2 support so they could relay it to tier 3 support they decided my return never transferred….not shit!! Now since the computer system still shows it DID transfer I am locked out…meaning they cannot send my return to the IRS…because it is “already there”..WAIT it gets better!!
They then proceeded to tell me I could try taking it to the local (45miles) office with the paperwork I have to take anyway…(only because their software caused me to be flagged) but they doubted they could send it electronically either and I would have to mail it in!!
TURBO TAX SUCKS
I’ve never heard of such a thing happening… The only thing you can maybe do at this point is check with your bank for a pending deposit and if they see nothing call the IRS and verify the bank info provided on your return.

I filed with TT on 1/24, accepted right away. Bar missing no access to transcripts. I called the IRS and was told there was an error processing the return and it would take 6-8 weeks from 2/1, which seems to be the time frame given to many today. I don’t know what to believe, she said there was no letter, no offsets or anything … She wouldn’t elaborate on the “error in processing”.
I filed on 2/3, got accepted same day, had one bar until 2/9 and now I have the processed will get a DDD when available with topic 152, transcripts are all N/A :(
Bart, you still think it could be an issue? She said the 2/17/15 date on my 922 for my 2013 acct trans means that is when they will send the proposal letter out. She said a ‘balance’ won’t show for several months so it shouldn’t be affecting my current refund.
All the other reps said I had no balance and no offsets that currently affect my 2014 return. I think if my return does go through, I’m going to hold on to it til I see the amount they propose I owe. You input, is as always, very much appreciated.

I’m not expecting a very large return. Only about 4k it is the largest I have had though. I forgot to ask, did you guys get your state returns? Because I got mine.
Just checked out bank account, we bank with a credit union, and our refund is pending. But it says effective date of 2/17/15. Does that mean it won’t be deposited until Tuesday?
jhaz youy really should see something next week if not then you have problems and call the irs
Rae its rare that they will give u a refund when there is problems with a previous year. but since as of right now tech you dont owe the irs it may have just slowed your return down a little.. thats actually some good news for you
tonji yes there are a lot of delays you should see an update this weekend for most of the returns
DEE well there are glitches they may be trying to look at the return for the education credit to make sure it isnt fraud… and the 21 days prolly not 2 weeks is about right
Jen these are just taking extra time to process and verify.. it sets returns back 1-2 weeks
JD thats good it means ur in the error resolution department and 4-8 weeks is a long time…. if that is true then they will have it fixed in 2 weeks

@dizzy…..yeah im pretty sure that you’re just a weekly updater….I believe that that’s what was said about people with ID theft on theirs….that we update weekly as opposed to daily like the regular…..can u order your Trans by mail? I’ve noticed that if it recognizes your address when you try to order thru mail that that probably means that they’ve started yours….I have no access to my Trans at all….but theres still hope….give it til after the Friday update and try your Trans

I’m hoping that’s the case this year because I just had twins 2 mths ago no job a just got my last unemployment paycheck
I filed on 1/20 and was accepted on 1/20 according to TurboTax. I called this Monday to ask about my return and was informed that I needed to verify my identity. After doing so, I was given the typical 6-8 week time frame for my return to be processed. I thought this was a little fishy, so I called again Tuesday morning and was told that my return needed further review and would still take 4-6 weeks. So at that point I decided I would call everyday this week to see if I get a different answer. I called today and what do you know? I was told my return was not accepted until 1/28 and had to wait another week. I called BS on the rep and was hung up on. I then immediately called back and was told what I was told on Monday. So it appears to me the IRS is trying to cover up the fact they are making mistakes and are WAY behind this season. I do have a question for everyone in this thread…is anyone expecting over $10K? I read that the IRS typically flags all those returns and makes you wait. Thanks!
Just sharing my story in the hopes it might help someone…
So I filed 1/20 HOH EIC ed credit 8862 refund 9xxx I was issued a 4464c on 1/27. I knew I was getting the letter cause I called on the 27th and they told me they were sending it. My refund stayed on bars still processing until Sunday 2/8 when it went to generic message with amount still there and topic 152 as well. I was able to see my transcripts for the first few days my refund was processing it was weird cause they had the as of Feb 16th, no return filed, and a 971 notice issued with a 2-16-05 date beside it. I dont know if I ever had a 570, cause a few days after I filed an id theft indicator was put on my acct(which didn’t surprise me cause I reported ID theft after trying to figure out why the hell I had to file and 8862 when I’d never claimed children before and only small amounts of EIC, apparently someone tried to file as me claiming children in 2010). But I called today cause I knew that generic message was either very good, or waaaay bad. The rep told me my refund was out of the review dept and back into processing and I should receive it in the next two weeks. I will update when I get a date, as I cant see my transcripts right now. S/N: I dialed the 829-1040 number and accidentally followed a prompt to hear acct details make payments etc…but anyways I got through on the IRS acct payment line and my wait time was only 15 minutes! Employee shortage my @SS! The payments dept is fully staffed lol!So, ijs, a 4464c does not always mean a long wait. And I think that they are sometimes auto-generated by computers. I mean mine was sent out without there being any information on my transcript at all, not even a record of a return! Hope this helps someone
Hi Bart! I know you told me soon as I wasn’t finished processing yet…but do you have an idea when!? If you remember, filed and accepted 1/29 able to see account transcripts 2/6 only 0.00 and as of 2/23/15
Anyone with accountnow receive their refund for 2/11/15?
Well got my refund date of 02/16 Just wanted to say I’m so mad at Account Now! I went thru them only because they said they would give me my refund 2 days early and now they will NOT! They also lied and said that they have fee free ATMs near me and that’s also a lie! They also said the card was free and no monthly charges of I use DD. and I got my paycheck on it and they charged me 19.95 member fee and 5.00 for the card and then when I went to take 100$ out they charged me $6 more! I’m beyond mad!
My cycle date is 20150603 as well. I finally got into to view my transcripts but the Where’s My Refund site still says it’s processing. My friend cycle date was 20150505 and she received her DD today.
So apparently thought TT told me I f/a on 1/29, IRS today told me it wasn’t until 2/2 that they received my return and its currently processing without any problems despite the 922 code on my 2013 acct trans which I was told by an IRS lady that it will not affect my 2014 refund.
Anyone else have this difference in filing and accepting dates? Any 2/2’ers with DDD yet? Hoping to see something sometime this week.
APPARENTLY I’VE BEEN DELAYED SINCE MY REFUND IS SO LARGE AND CAN’T BE DD INTO MY BANK.. THEY’RE SENDING ME A PAPER CHECK THAT WON’T BE RELEASED ANY SOONER THAN MARCH 5TH.. MARCH 5TH!!!! I FILED ON 1.22 AND HE ALSO REPLIED THAT IF I DIDN’T SEE AN UPDATE ON WMR BY MARCH 5TH TO EITHER CALL OR WAIT ANOTHER 2 WKS AND CALL AGAIN. I SWEAR THEY HAVE THE MOST VAGUE ANSWERS TO PROBLEMS. BUT IT WAS NICE TO HEAR THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE RETURN ITSELF. HE SAID I SHOULD BE GETTING A LETTER IN THE MAIL SOON STATING WHY THERE WAS A DELAY.. LET’S SEE HOW TRUE THAT IS.
To get though to someone press 1 for english, then 5, and then 3. Ta da! It ranges from 10 to 30 minutes wait time. Also, the lady yesterday tried to tell me I wasn’t able to view my transcripts until after the 21st day but yet my husband has it last saved on his tablet from the 3rd and we haven’t been able to access them since. When I called her bluff, she had nothing to say about it.
Yesterday made my day 21. Filed on Jan 6th or 7th, accepted the 12 or 13th, and started processing the 20th when IRS opened. Called yesterday and talked to 3 people and they said it was under review and I would get a letter in a few days dated the 23rd (the rep said their computers were built back in the 60’s and they have to date things for 2 weeks ahead of when it comes out). He said it could take 60 days to clear up. No other info and the one lady said I had to wait for the 21st day to pass. Called today (day22) and while she was nice she said the same thing and that they need 45 days from the date of the letter (which will be the 23rd). I told her i literally have an eviction notice and she said she could file the form for a tax advocate, so I said yes to claim hardship, and she said I should hear something within 7 days. My husband has a customer who is a hr block tax person and he confirmed there was a glitch for early filers.
Ok to make a long story short I filed my return on 1/30 and WMR says still processing, I wanted to know if anyone in the forum had insurance with the marketplace and had to pay a penalty? If so did you have to wait a long for your refund?
Just got off the phone with them. I filed 1/21, bars missing blah blah blah. He said there was an identity theft from 2011….wtf? I haven’t had an issue since then until this year. I smell a cover up
I filed my sons on 2/2; accepted within 30 minutes. No new bars, still processing. I have no transcripts for 2014 and says return not filed. Lets hope for news tomorrow morning.

I filed on 2/2 and just as of 7 am this morning got a second bar, was unable to see my transcripts until yesterday Morning. I was stressed too. I think you guys will see something tonight or in the mirning. My code on transcripts is 20150602 and my ddd matched it for friday.
Bart, wanted to provide you an update. I talked to someone at the IRS who was super helpful and spent over 30 minutes with me on the phone explaining everything. She says as of right now, I have no balance owed and that is not hindering my refund. She said it will not affect it, either, so there’s no hold on my 2014 refund but I will be getting a letter about my 2013 to see if we can correct any problems. A ‘proposed’ balance won’t show until 3-4 months from now so 2014 is processing right along per her words.
It was my first year filing by myself with two incomes and dependents and deductions. I hope I didn’t make any mistakes this year but will definitely be having someone to help me from here on out!
I had said I wouldn’t add to your already extremely long list and have been referring to the IRS Manual myself. However, I would like your input. I filed 3 of my children’s taxes for them via TT. One was filed/accepted on 2/3, approved on 2/5, refund received on 2/9. The other 2 were filed on 2/5. One received at 12:32 A.M., the other at 3:11 A.M.. Neither of these have anything happening at all. BOTH have N/A transcripts….actually the ONLY place you even see 2014 is in the Wage transcript which is obviously empty since these aren’t guaranteed to be updated until July. Soooo, any clue?

I spoke with the IRS on yday and was told that there were no notes on my file although I do have an offset that I have knowledge of I was told that they were taking 21 days to review my tax return my DD was approved on 2/7 with a date of 2/11 but was cancelled on 2/8. The agent says she doesnt see anything wrong with my acct and there arent any notes pls help what would be a reason they would approve and then cancel. I did claim an education credit and my account transcript says no record on file I was also told by an agent that there are no glitches in the system this year for so many ppl to have a reference code of 1121Bart,
Is getting healthcare through the gov’t program (Obamacare) holding up refunds this year? My taxes are identical to ever other year that I’ve gotten my return in about a week, EXCEPT for the Obamacare, and there’s no movement on my return for a week now ( N/A on my transcripts), so just wondering if they have pushed these to the side for some reason or what the holdup could be.
Any thoughts?

Filed/accepted the 22nd, bars went missing, transcripts N/A.
I spoke to the nicest person that probably works at the IRS today. A true gentleman named Terry. He let me know there was a problem found on my return, no letters were sent out, and that it should resolve itself in 4-8 weeks.
Personally, I am relieved to hear that even if there is a longer delay because at least I know what is going on!
